Morning! Looking forward to Roomies tomorrow! FYI- Rachel Schneider announced that she’s pulling all her books at the end of December to republish them at some point. She doesn’t know how long that will be. So, that’s Taking Mine, which I read and really enjoyed, Forfeiting Destiny, and Really F*cking Complicated (both on my tbr) I’ll have to grab them before they’re gone.
Leslie’s comment about shopping days just gave me anxiety. 😕
OOH!! My makeup-loving friends…I went to Sephora this weekend and picked up the Urban Decay Troublemaker mascara. HOLY FREAKING MOLY!!!! I thought their Perversion mascara was fantastic, but THIS one is AMAZING!! Seriously, one swipe of the brush and it lived up to its promise of “super fat, super long” *snort* lashes. Now, the sex proof part? Errrrrr…didn’t try that out but I’m sure that lives up to its promise as well. 😉
Right now sitting at an airport waiting to go home. So my Brin isn’t working yet. I clicked a lot of links but am too tired to say if any blurb is perfect or just the small one is. I have hopes for the vampire and Mafia book. Also that Cruel Kind of Beautiful looks intriguing. And the RC Stephen’s. Lol I can’t compute yet!

I have to say I am overjoyed with only having her POV in Until It Fades. I am so glad I don’t know what’s going on in HIS mind or where he is or anything else he is doing so that I can feel all the anxiousness and self doubt and excitement and wishing and FREAKING BUTTERFLIES that she is feeling.
Good lord, I can’t remember the last time I gushed over a book this way…

I’m confused. What does Driven have to so with Until it Fades? Isn’t it the same author as Ten Tiny Breaths and Driven is the race car book by a different author.

Bev, I went to visit family in Orange County. It’s a short flight, an hour, but I didn’t sleep well last night. I’m allergic to Christmas trees, so my medicine was doing its job (at one in the morning!) and trying to keep my sinuses clear by making me cough a lot. 🙂 That and woke up at 6 am.
Ela just pointed out that Nay has never been to the Courtyard. How in 2017 is this even a possibility around here?

Bev, Until it Fades and Drive by Kate Stewart (not to be confused w/Driven by K. Bromberg which I LOVED) have nothing to do with each other except that they are both popular. I loved UiF but felt like I was only one who didn’t love Drive. I hate that.

Ok, then I have the Until it Fades by KA Tucker. I am not sure if I have the Stewart one. I am not sure if I have read one of hers yet.
Until It Fades and Drive don’t have anything to do with the other… other than they both have that awesome “old-school indie” feel. Until it Fades is not that angsty, but explores all sorts of exciting “famous guy-normal girl” possibilities, and has the perfect slow burn.
Drive on the other hand, is an extremely emotionally angsty love triangle and all – and it “goes there” (kindle-throwing there) a few times.

I just adore Written in Red. I read it and then basically re read it when it came out.
It had a pretty big fan club here with Tessa, Michelle, and I. We kind of went nuts over it.

The thing I really loved about Until it Fades is too spoilerish to say.
R., I myself, loathe peppermint, but I’ve had the ID caramel macchiato and it’s delish. Also, the French vanilla and Irish cream. I haven’t had drip coffee to add creamer to in ages, but last year at this time we got on a kick of skipping creamer and adding egg nog (I previously hated egg nog all my life) and it was awesome!

I’m reading On The Way To You and so far it has all the feels and I am loving it. It is not an insta-love and at first they annoy each other and some days don’t even talk. Initially, I wasn’t loving the h because she seemed wishy-washy, weak and so naive. The two end up traveling cross-country and I think the h, who has never left Alabama, grows stronger as she experiences life on the road and meets other people that somehow she or both of them need. The H has some major issues that are making my tummy twist, knowing the angst is going to explode. Hope it continues to be great. *fingers crossed*

R! Coffeemate has a great SF peppermint. Everyone was talking about International Delight peppermint being the best, but the ID SF peppermint is nasty. Coffeemate’s is far better.

Okay so my favorite has always been Yves St. Laurent “Effets Faux Cils” but OMG I was seeing this pharmacy cheapie mascara raved about non stop on my Facebook feed, and it looked like a copy of Too Faced or something… I can’t remember (I’m reALLY picky about mascara ’cause my lashes are naturally NOT lush and dark – more like transparent and meh) so anyway, I bought it.
I loved it right from the start. This is my new holy grail:
L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise (Blackest Black) I get the washable one. I’ve never been able to deal with waterproof.

And I agree with Maryse’s summaries of Until It Fades and Drive. UiF is butterflies-on-crack-in-the-tummy exciting and Drive is all kinds of angst and emotion, but BOTH took me back to the indie days I miss so much.
