I feel like the season has officially started, and I can’t wait for the first touch of cool air to hit, so I can put up my Halloween decorations. 😛
Okay let’s play “Three Things”
- I made Mississippi Pork Roast this weekend and it was just as delicious (works equally well with pork) and I used whole radishes as a substitute for my “potatoes”. It was (is) GREAT!! YAY for leftovers!
- My coffee is brewing as we speak and I’m needing coffee badly this morning. My eyes don’t want to be open. I can’t believe I’m even able to type right now.
- My latest favorite nail polish color (or sheer color) is Essie’s “Treat Love & Color in Minimally Modest”. It’s a very sheer nude pink (and with three coats, you can definitely see the color and shine, and it lasts for at least 5 days pretty well – I redo it once a week). I don’t even put a top or bottom coat on. Now… I already have sheer nudes by Opi but I was finding them a little on the “yellow” side for my taste. So this pink one did the trick, and I see they have even pinker ones that are tempting me.

1. I’m actually really happy because The Beauty Inside premieres today and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (the psychological thriller) on Wednesday. Like a little happy dance happy. Now just hope they live up to it.
2. After my current read going to read Kat Howard’s An Unkindness of Magicians. Magicians in New York sounds like a good October read. Plus it was, maybe is, on sale.
3. So I am on a bit of an Epik High kick. Here is a collaboration with a Japanese band but this time a love song. In English again

Good morning! Happy October! I can’t believe it’s already so close to all the holidays.
We went to Lowes this weekend, and they already had all their Christmas stuff out. And Dollar General’s had theirs out for 2 weeks. I saw some cute things, but I refuse to support the sale of Christmas merchandise a month before Halloween has even gotten here.
Happy Monday. I am too tired to type 3 things right now…but like the sound of lots of those goodies up there.

Yep, Hobby Lobby has Christmas out. I even spotted some Christmas clothes at Kohls.

2. We just woke up and I have 2boys laying on my making faces and batting at my phone. I was actually up at 2 and had trouble going back to sleep until after 5 for some reason.
3. I’m craving sweets BAD. I have macarons from the pumpkin fest this weekend.giant puppy chow and apple crisp, regular sized pumpkin snickerdoodle and brownie batter. They’re meant to be consumed slowly, savored, but I keep inhaling them.

Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty is on sale for 3.99 from 9.99. I loved this one. You have to have patience to find out what happens at the barbecue, but I loved the build up and getting to know all the characters. And then after you know, it’s that much better.

3 Things:
1) Stink bugs are overtaking my yard and house–HATE the things!
2) My Wildcats won again on Saturday (now 5-0), and the Titans won in O/T yesterday (sorry, Robin), so it was a great football weekend for me.
3) When Grey was getting up, I had just gone to bed. Insomnia *is* the devil.
Well I did end up finishing Rock Bottom because I had to know but it was a struggle. it took me longer to finish the lat 30% than it did to get to 70% I am so heartbroken for so so many reasons-“Jenn hugs manny again this time does not let go*
The only reason I am continuing on is because Amy stated I will be crying happy tears at the end….so moving on to “Lovely Trigger”

Truthfully, I DNF’d it a while back (which was hard because I’ve liked her other stuff) because I just felt like it was dragging and there were so many other books I could be reading…but if you’re saying it will be worth it in the end…maybe I’ll give it another go.
Same, Michelle G! This morning, I’m trying to pick out my clothes, haven’t been out yet but I know the high is 80 today and I’m asking my hubby (he was getting annoyed) “is it like a hot 80?” Yes. “Like a fall 80? Like leggings weather?” No. Shorts. It’s getting hot already. “Like capris then?” NO, shorts! *sigh, stomps out, there I’ve got shorts* I’m over summer clothes too. Lol
It wasn’t until 40-50% for the reveal, but I liked it. You may not and that’s ok too, lol. I remember I had my Mom read it after I was done and she was annoyed waiting to find out what happened. She ended up liking it enough to give it 4 stars. But, for me, what happened put me on high alert. As if I wasn’t already. And I loved how they all tackled the aftermath.
Nay-Yes I am on GR and everyone keeps telling me how jealous they are because of what I am reading but I got to tell you “Rock Bottom” was rough for me to get through. I love books that put me through the wringer but there was a certain thing that happened twice that I could personally relate to and when that happens I feel like I became her in those moments, living it, breathing it all over again and yeah so I’m just broken. I don’t want to say much more than that as I know some others on here have not read it.
Jenn, I responded to your comment on the other post. 😉 I promise, it’s SO worth it to stick with Lovely Trigger!! Promise on little Manny’s life.

3. Since Maryse mentioned nail polish…I’m wearing one right now which I LOVE. It’s a mood (temperature) polish which is a glass-flecked deep purple when I’m cold and coralish pink when I’m warm. But the best part is when I’ve been cold and then start to warm up because then it looks ombré!
Wow, there are some good-soundin’ ones up there! Not Until You, Hot For His Girl (sounds cute!), and Laid Over, and holy MOLY does When Forever Changes sound right up my alley!

So, best book of September was Kneel by Eden Butler.
1. Yes, Jenn, the end is super happy and we are jealous because the extremes are harsh but the high parts are so good too. And an HEA!
2. How happy am I that Grey and Michelle are reading the Eagle Elite? Very happy. What makes me happiest? Grey read the bully book I’ve been recommending her! Because BULLY! *does happy dance*
3. Went to Target and they had pumpkin spice cream cheese, so I bought it. Then, guess what? No plain bagel. So I put it on a tortilla, rolled it, and ended up with a pumpkin spice roll… thing. It was yummy.
Amy-I was planning on reading I like you I love her next but I am thinking my heart needs something lighter after this series.
With all of you talking about the Elite Series I looked on my Kindle and only have the first book-i had to look it up and had no idea the amount of books in this series.
Yep Jenn, I would get a palette cleanser before tackling ILYILH. No idea how angsty or tumultuous it will be, but I wouldn’t take the chance, LOL!

I know you’ll all be shocked to know that my favorite book of September was No Tomorrow by Carian Cole. I’ve been searching and searching for something else like it, and like Thoughtless, Motorcycle Man, At Peace, and Arsen, I don’t think there’ll ever be another that affects me quite like it.
And speaking of At Peace, I’m so excited that we’re getting another Joe and Vi story in just 3 weeks! It says it’s a ‘short story’, but as we’ve seen, with KA, that could be much longer than the typical short story (I hope!)
1. Fav book/s for September. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, and also a non-fiction (biography) Elizabeth Macarthur: A Life at the Edge of the World.
2. I was down the street this morning and I bought a really cute pair of bright pink and blue socks on impulse.They’re called Happy Socks, and they are.
3. I’ve seen Christmas foods in the supermarkets ALREADY. Even last week before October hit. Christmas puddings, santa shaped chockies and other stuff. WTAH???? That’s ridiculous.
