in Latest Book Releases

<—Good morning and happy Monday!! P.S. That earlybird there to the left is skyrocketing up the Amazon charts already!! Oh and!! YAY October!! It’s officially Halloween. ;) Okay I’m definitely getting ahead of myself but I love it. I feel like the season has officially started, and I can’t wait for the first touch of cool air to hit, so I can put up my Halloween decorations. :P

Okay let’s play “Three Things”

  1. I made Mississippi Pork Roast this weekend and it was just as delicious (works equally well with pork) and I used whole radishes as a substitute for my “potatoes”. It was (is) GREAT!! YAY for leftovers!
  2. My coffee is brewing as we speak and I’m needing coffee badly this morning. My eyes don’t want to be open. I can’t believe I’m even able to type right now.
  3. My latest favorite nail polish color (or sheer color) is Essie’s “Treat Love & Color in Minimally Modest”. It’s a very sheer nude pink (and with three coats, you can definitely see the color and shine, and it lasts for at least 5 days pretty well – I redo it once a week). I don’t even put a top or bottom coat on. Now… I already have sheer nudes by Opi but I was finding them a little on the “yellow” side for my taste. So this pink one did the trick, and I see they have even pinker ones that are tempting me.

LOOK WHAT JUST WENT LIVE :D !!!

  1. Not Until You by Corinne Michaels <— LIVE!!! THE LATEST BY CORINNE MICHAELS!!! She narrowly avoided a one-night stand with him… ;) “…Thinking I walked away from that night unscathed was stupid. Sure enough, at the biggest meeting of my career waits the CEO of Dovetail Enterprises—him. It might be the most embarrassing moment of my professional life. And breaking my no-client rule might just be the hottest moment of my personal life. Learning to trust has never felt so good, but falling has never hurt so bad…
  2. Hot For His Girl by Rachel Blaufeld <— LIVE!! RACHEL BLAUFELD’S LATEST!!! She’s a single mom/snarky blogger & he’s a professor/food blogger!! “…Reid’s blog, Grill and Groom, began on a dare. Now, he regularly shows his abs of steel while grilling. He may love this gig more than his day job. She needs her page views and advertisers to support her daughter. Until the two meet and spin a web online and IRL . . . in real life…” ALSO!!! Check out the author’s guest post on my blog where she shares one of her favorite recipes (that also shows up in the book!!). I’M STARVING NOW!!! :P
  3. Laid Over by S.E. Hall <— S.E. HALL’S LATEST IS LIVE! They’re seated next to each other on a flight… “…They’re nothing alike, from two very different worlds, except for one huge, perhaps serendipitous, similarity — they’re in the same place, where neither have ever been before, at the same time — because of two, perfectly aligned off-chances...”
  4. Tray (A Hell’s Harlem Novel Book 2) by J.M. Walker <— J.M. WALKER BIKER BOOK ALERT!! This one just went LIVE! “...She was innocent. Pure. Untouched. She was the daughter of a rival club member, but that didn’t stop us. It only heightened the desire, the passion we felt. We were happy…until someone she trusted made a move that no one saw coming…”
  5. When Forever Changes by Siobhan Davis <— LIVE!! HE WAS HER BEST FRIEND & SOULMATE BUT HE DEVASTATED HER… “…I’d never experienced such heart-crushing pain. Until he leveled me a second time, and I truly wanted to die. But I had to stay strong because I wasn’t alone in this cruel twist of fate. I look to the sky, pleading with the stars, begging someone to tell me what I should do because I don’t know how to deal with this. I don’t know how to cope when my forever has changed, and I can’t help wondering if I had seen the signs earlier, if I’d pushed him, would it have been enough to save us?”
  6. Mating the Huntress: An Interracial Romance by Talia Hibbert <— LIVE!! WEREWOLF ALERT!Chastity Adofo knows a monster when she sees one. As soon as Luke Anthony wanders into her family’s coffee shop, she recognises the evil lurking beneath his charming smile and fantastic arse. The handsome werewolf is determined to have her—but she’s determined to cut out his heart…”
  7. Play Thing (Hot Sydney Nights Book 3) by Nicola Marsh
  8. King’s Price (Kings of Sydney) by Jackie Ashenden
  9. Unleashed (Hotel Temptation) by Caitlin Crews
  10. Teacher Wanted (Rent-a-Dom Book 3) by <— LIVE!! M/M ROMANCE!!! “...After Dakota’s failed attempt to get his too-vanilla boyfriend to be more dominant and creative in the bedroom blows up in their faces, Asher suggests they contact Rent-a-Dom for an alpha who can teach him the skills he needs to fulfill Dakota’s fantasies. Guy Daily has three firm rules—no kissing, no cuddling, and no overnights. When he finds himself breaking all three with his intriguing new clients, he’s not very happy about it…”
  11. Win For Love by Isabelle Peterson
  12. Crave by Adriana Locke <— ADRIANA LOCKE’S LATEST IS LIVE!!!! And it CAN be read as a standalone (although it’s part of an interconnected series). She’s over him… mostly. ;) “…Sure, she’ll always be a little weak to the dimple in his right cheek and the way his five o’clock shadow makes him ruggedly handsome. But that’s not enough to cover every other thing about him because they all drive her nuts.  Like how he won’t admit he’s wrong even when he knows it and how he drives his stupid car a million miles an hour on wet asphalt. As she rolls back into town and takes a seat at Crave, she won’t take the bait. She’s over him. Mostly…”
  13. Twisted Loyalties (The Camorra Chronicles Book 1) by Cora Reilly <— STREET FIGHTER FIGHTING FOR HIS PLACE IN THE MAFIA… “…Leona wants to build a decent life for herself, away from her drug-addicted mother. But soon she catches the attention of a dangerous man – Fabiano Scuderi. Staying out of trouble and living a normal life are near impossible with a man like him. Leona knows she needs to avoid Fabiano, but men like him aren’t easy to shake off. They always get what they want...”

I took a late Sunday nap and then tossed and turned all night ….and woke up before 4. :(

Coffee. Just coffee.

bev October 1, 2018 at 6:52 AM

But look whose first. Heh.

1. I’m actually really happy because The Beauty Inside premieres today and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (the psychological thriller) on Wednesday. Like a little happy dance happy. Now just hope they live up to it.

2. After my current read going to read Kat Howard’s An Unkindness of Magicians. Magicians in New York sounds like a good October read. Plus it was, maybe is, on sale.

3. So I am on a bit of an Epik High kick. Here is a collaboration with a Japanese band but this time a love song. In English again
Was my repeat song yesterday.

Good morning! Happy October! I can’t believe it’s already so close to all the holidays.

We went to Lowes this weekend, and they already had all their Christmas stuff out. And Dollar General’s had theirs out for 2 weeks. I saw some cute things, but I refuse to support the sale of Christmas merchandise a month before Halloween has even gotten here.

Leslie M October 1, 2018 at 7:26 AM

Happy Monday. I am too tired to type 3 things right now…but like the sound of lots of those goodies up there.

*looks around with half open eyes for some glitter*

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 7:47 AM

Yep, Hobby Lobby has Christmas out. I even spotted some Christmas clothes at Kohls.

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 7:57 AM

1. I have to clean today. Wah wah wah

2. We just woke up and I have 2boys laying on my making faces and batting at my phone. I was actually up at 2 and had trouble going back to sleep until after 5 for some reason.

3. I’m craving sweets BAD. I have macarons from the pumpkin fest this weekend.giant puppy chow and apple crisp, regular sized pumpkin snickerdoodle and brownie batter. They’re meant to be consumed slowly, savored, but I keep inhaling them.

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 8:05 AM

Good Morning-

1. I’m a mess
2. I’m really a mess in case I didn’t mention it
3. Did I mention I am a COMPLETE MESS

Nay October 1, 2018 at 8:40 AM

Jenn–why are you a mess??

bev October 1, 2018 at 8:42 AM

She is reading Tristan and Danika. Where they all take drugs and all die in the end.

Dont do drugs kids.

Grey October 1, 2018 at 8:48 AM

1) I’m reading the Eagle Elite series… Nixon and Trace and Chase…. What have I been waiting for?
2) bev?!? They have more music? *runs to Spotify*
3) I was up at 3 am… Insomnia is the devil.

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 8:51 AM

I saw your comment at 4 Grey! Somewhere around there. I had a copy but it wasn’t loanable.

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 8:54 AM

Nay-here is my post from this morning that I had posted in “Friday’s Find because I wanted to comment on Maryse’s mini review of No Tomorrow she posted and well here it is:

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 6:58 AM
Maryse-Awe Yes Acorn; that made me ugly cry. I became so attached to him. I am glad you stuck it out.

Now to all who said I was a lucky girl reading Tristan and Danika’s story well let me tell you;I honestly have been crying from 70% on (“Rock Bottom”) and currently I am at 86% and I am a mess…I am too scared and well it’s too much. I don’t want to read if what is happening here (Dean) completes itself. *Jenn hugs manny*; thanks Amy for lending him to me.

R. Renee October 1, 2018 at 8:57 AM

1. I got up wayyyyy too early to finish my newsletter.
2. The Browns lost in overtime. :(
3. My favorite book for September was Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. LOVED IT!

bev October 1, 2018 at 9:07 AM

So Epik High is a group that has been around since 03.
That one song is a collaboration that Lee Hi did with them. Can you believe she is only 22??

They have another song but not in English
https://youtu.be/SK-xhoe3nLM

The first song I posted on that other post was Tablo(Epik High) and Taeyang (Big Bang). It’s cool cause it was a huge hit for Taeyang and then Tablo re wrote a cover of it .

Then the song up there is Epik High and a Japanese band Sekai No Owari.

No lie I think I have a crush on Tablo now, lol.

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 9:17 AM

Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty is on sale for 3.99 from 9.99. I loved this one. You have to have patience to find out what happens at the barbecue, but I loved the build up and getting to know all the characters. And then after you know, it’s that much better.

Nay October 1, 2018 at 9:31 AM

Jenn–ah, yes! Forgot about Tristan and Danika. I’m so jealous! Are you on GR??

3 Things:
1) Stink bugs are overtaking my yard and house–HATE the things!
2) My Wildcats won again on Saturday (now 5-0), and the Titans won in O/T yesterday (sorry, Robin), so it was a great football weekend for me.
3) When Grey was getting up, I had just gone to bed. Insomnia *is* the devil.

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 9:35 AM

Well I did end up finishing Rock Bottom because I had to know but it was a struggle. it took me longer to finish the lat 30% than it did to get to 70% I am so heartbroken for so so many reasons-”Jenn hugs manny again this time does not let go*

The only reason I am continuing on is because Amy stated I will be crying happy tears at the end….so moving on to “Lovely Trigger”

Maryse October 1, 2018 at 9:38 AM

Great find, Tasha!!! THANK YOU!!! :D

Michele G October 1, 2018 at 9:46 AM

Happy Monday – - well not happy of course but it’s here anyway…

1. I’m loving the Elite series so much I may be addicted.

2. Jenn is scaring me with this Bad Things talk – - y’all all want me to read it but it sounds rough…

3. I made homemade spaghetti sauce in the crockpot yesterday…yummy! Of course it’s now going to be in the 90′s the next few days…I’m over hot weather!! I want fall dang it!

Michele G October 1, 2018 at 9:49 AM

Tasha, I may give Truly Madly Guilty another try thanks to your comments. Truthfully, I DNF’d it a while back (which was hard because I’ve liked her other stuff) because I just felt like it was dragging and there were so many other books I could be reading…but if you’re saying it will be worth it in the end…maybe I’ll give it another go.

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 9:52 AM

Same, Michelle G! This morning, I’m trying to pick out my clothes, haven’t been out yet but I know the high is 80 today and I’m asking my hubby (he was getting annoyed) “is it like a hot 80?” Yes. “Like a fall 80? Like leggings weather?” No. Shorts. It’s getting hot already. “Like capris then?” NO, shorts! *sigh, stomps out, there I’ve got shorts* I’m over summer clothes too. Lol

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 9:56 AM

It wasn’t until 40-50% for the reveal, but I liked it. You may not and that’s ok too, lol. I remember I had my Mom read it after I was done and she was annoyed waiting to find out what happened. She ended up liking it enough to give it 4 stars. But, for me, what happened put me on high alert. As if I wasn’t already. And I loved how they all tackled the aftermath.

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 10:08 AM

Nay-Yes I am on GR and everyone keeps telling me how jealous they are because of what I am reading but I got to tell you “Rock Bottom” was rough for me to get through. I love books that put me through the wringer but there was a certain thing that happened twice that I could personally relate to and when that happens I feel like I became her in those moments, living it, breathing it all over again and yeah so I’m just broken. I don’t want to say much more than that as I know some others on here have not read it.

Amy October 1, 2018 at 2:25 PM

Jenn, I responded to your comment on the other post. ;) I promise, it’s SO worth it to stick with Lovely Trigger!! Promise on little Manny’s life.

*covers bev’s mouth*

Three things:

1. I’m taking the plunge and starting I Like You, I Love Her. :D
2. Yay for Fall! Boo for Christmas too early.
3. Since Maryse mentioned nail polish…I’m wearing one right now which I LOVE. It’s a mood (temperature) polish which is a glass-flecked deep purple when I’m cold and coralish pink when I’m warm. But the best part is when I’ve been cold and then start to warm up because then it looks ombré!

Amy October 1, 2018 at 2:27 PM

Wow, there are some good-soundin’ ones up there! Not Until You, Hot For His Girl (sounds cute!), and Laid Over, and holy MOLY does When Forever Changes sound right up my alley!

Leslie M October 1, 2018 at 3:11 PM

*giggles over Bev’s fake spoilers*

bev October 1, 2018 at 4:16 PM

Maryse you want to take a chance on Wednesday……right?

Or am I watching alone?

Tasha J October 1, 2018 at 4:58 PM

I’m 24% into I Suck at Girls by Justin Halpern and just read a scene that had my belly hurting from laughing so hard. It’s really good so far!

Grey October 1, 2018 at 5:18 PM

Ohhh, Elect… Whyyy?!?

Tessa October 1, 2018 at 5:30 PM

So, best book of September was Kneel by Eden Butler.

1. Yes, Jenn, the end is super happy and we are jealous because the extremes are harsh but the high parts are so good too. And an HEA!

2. How happy am I that Grey and Michelle are reading the Eagle Elite? Very happy. What makes me happiest? Grey read the bully book I’ve been recommending her! Because BULLY! *does happy dance*

3. Went to Target and they had pumpkin spice cream cheese, so I bought it. Then, guess what? No plain bagel. So I put it on a tortilla, rolled it, and ended up with a pumpkin spice roll… thing. It was yummy.

Jenn October 1, 2018 at 5:55 PM

Amy-I was planning on reading I like you I love her next but I am thinking my heart needs something lighter after this series.

With all of you talking about the Elite Series I looked on my Kindle and only have the first book-i had to look it up and had no idea the amount of books in this series.

Amy October 1, 2018 at 6:43 PM

Yep Jenn, I would get a palette cleanser before tackling ILYILH. No idea how angsty or tumultuous it will be, but I wouldn’t take the chance, LOL!

Mmmmm…pumpkin spice cream cheese. *drools*

Amy October 1, 2018 at 6:45 PM

Never before has pumpkin spice cereal looked appealing to me, except now when I can’t have it.

Tessa October 1, 2018 at 7:27 PM

lol Isn’t that how it always is. Well, except I have the sugar issue. Suddenly, ALL SUGAR IS YUMMY! lol The hardest to resist is ice cream. I’ve not succeeded a few times.

Jenn… then not Elite after T and D. It’s not a palette cleanser. If you haven’t read it, Dirty Headlines by LJ Shen. It was awesome and light, funny, just greatness.

Maryse October 1, 2018 at 7:30 PM

*wants pumpkin spice cereal*

Tessa October 1, 2018 at 7:32 PM

Oh and was it here someone rec’d Riverdale? I am almost done with season 2. (We WON’T go into who’s got the “good” singing voice”). I am loving it though at times, I want to slap them. :) Still… good.

Tessa October 1, 2018 at 7:33 PM

I want it too, but it’s full of sugar! Seriously, they now have frosted pumpkin spice flakes. *sniffs* And the cheerio one, which is very savory and wonderful, is 9 grams of sugar. DANGIT!

Nay October 1, 2018 at 9:58 PM

I know you’ll all be shocked to know that my favorite book of September was No Tomorrow by Carian Cole. I’ve been searching and searching for something else like it, and like Thoughtless, Motorcycle Man, At Peace, and Arsen, I don’t think there’ll ever be another that affects me quite like it.

And speaking of At Peace, I’m so excited that we’re getting another Joe and Vi story in just 3 weeks! It says it’s a ‘short story’, but as we’ve seen, with KA, that could be much longer than the typical short story (I hope!)

Jan October 2, 2018 at 12:17 AM

1. Fav book/s for September. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, and also a non-fiction (biography) Elizabeth Macarthur: A Life at the Edge of the World.
2. I was down the street this morning and I bought a really cute pair of bright pink and blue socks on impulse. They’re called Happy Socks, and they are.
3. I’ve seen Christmas foods in the supermarkets ALREADY. Even last week before October hit. Christmas puddings, santa shaped chockies and other stuff. WTAH???? That’s ridiculous.
