in Latest Book Releases

LOL! Why am I such a sucker for that “bad stuff”? ;) ‘Cause it feels soooooo goooooood to be tormented in love. In books. Always and only in books. ;) <— That should be my tagline. Tee hee!!

Anyway, there are some newbies that were just released, and while tomorrow is our official release day, ya know I can’t help but highlight the good-looking early birds.

  • With the Father by Jenni Moen <— Tell me this blurb doesn’t give you a mini-*oomph!!* “Father Sullivan was a force – a living and breathing force, a forbidden desire I couldn’t resist. I didn’t want to resist. But I wasn’t the only one who wanted him, and by all accounts neither of us should have him.” and Jeanie is freaking out. And for that matter, so am I…
Jeanie: Maryse, I just finished With The Father – wow, my head is spinning! I had to join the Facebook Discussion Group for this because I still can’t wrap my head around everything that happened – or didn’t. A priest and two sisters!!!! Eeeep!!!!
Maryse: Yeah!!!????? GAH!!! I want to read this now. WHAT WHAT WHAAAAT!!!???? A priest and two sisters??!! *gasp* The forbidden-ness!!!!!!! I looooovvvvve it. :D
  • Shadowing Me (Breakneck Series, Book Three) by Crystal Spears <— BIKER ROMANCE ALERT!! JUST RELEASED! (Here’s the series reading order)
  • The Fallen Crest Series by Tijan <— THE ENTIRE SERIES has been bundled and sooooo many of our fellow readers just L-O-V-E this series like crazy. So my eardrums have been busted out by the online squee’ing. ;) Aimee squee’d! “*jumping up and down* OMG, OMG, OMG!!! This is a GREAT deal…her books NEVER go on sale…..wham, bam, thank you ma’am!!
  • VAIN – The Complete Series: Part One, Part Two & Part Three by Deborah Bladon <— Speaking of sexy-bundled series, Lauren found us this new release and super-sale! She says: “Deborah Bladon’s Vain series is bundled. Finally!” Fabi loves this one! “Vain - mentioned in a previous blog post, has a really original plot.  It’s a hot one with a moody, reclusive alpha jerk and an ultra modern heroine that we don’t often see.  The short book grabs you right from the beginning and ends with an umph.  I had to download the author’s other works after this one.” And while I hear there are cliffhangers, it’s no problem to us that are new to the series, since it’s complete. :D
  • Destined Havoc (Havoc Series Book 1) by Nina Levine <— a BIKER spinoff from her “Storm” series?
  • Chains: An MMA Romantic Suspense Novel by Kelli Maine <— MMA ROMANCE ALERT!!!! (check out the HUGE giveaway we’re having!)
  • Cooper (Corps Security Book 5) by Harper Sloan <— okay not a new release, but a new bargain book for sure! Must be in anticipation for her upcoming release (Locke) coming out in just a few days!!!
  • Infinity + One by Amy Harmon <— and while we’re talking about brand spankin’ new sales, here’s a recent release!
  • Roman: Book 1 by Kimber S. Dawn <— DARK READ just released!!

And a few PRE-ORDERS (most of ‘em are for tomorrow!!):

Maryse I’m feeling light headed trying to keep up and its not even Tuesday!! I have no self control anymore!!! They all sound amazing. But can I get more input on the Fallen Crest series? I started book one a while back and just couldn’t get in to it and trust me that doesn’t happen often. I rarely will give up on a book. Anyone else??

Rebecka September 22, 2014 at 6:45 PM

Infinity plus one was really sweet. I paid more than 99¢ and it was worth it. Definitely one to grab while it’s on sale.

Here are some of the comments I received about book #1, just to give you an idea (if you decide to continue it, let me know what you think):

Lori: I reluctantly read this with a friend’s pressure :) What a great read, I see what all the buzz is about! I’m not into high school romance, but this is much more gritty…

Kristina: Ahhh just had to share. This book was fecking awesome! Dark Adult Mature YA read (sex, booze & deception run rapids).. Could’ve been cliche but has a dark undertone & just ♥ the kade brothers.

Joanna: Someone else shared this one earlier, so I picked it up. Holy sh!t. Wow. This one is good, like really good. Screwed up, twisted, tense and all that. 34% in and wow… I really, really hope she doesn’t drop the ball halfway through the book, because if it keeps going this well it could be right up there with the greats, ladies. The description on the amazon page doesn’t even come close to describing it, so don’t be turned off, LOL! AND it’s cheap!!! It’s YA but very adult. Scary adult. And I want more from this author but I can’t handle a cliffhanger! I might die,…

Heidi: WOW! Must read Fallen Crest High! I haven’t had a book stay with me like this book since The Sea of Tranquility or The Bronze Horseman. I can’t get the characters out of my head. I stayed up all night reading this book! By far the best on your list last Friday!!

Jennifer: Maryse, So I just finished Fallen Crest High by Ti jan. I can’t stop thinking about this book. I normally don’t care for high school books, but this one was really good. Just love the main characters Sam, Mason and Logan. You really should check it out! Makes me want to watch Cruel Intentions! Have a great weekend!!

Brittany: A couple months ago I read the book “Fallen Crest High” by Tijan. This is a YA, which usually isn’t my thing, but geeez did this one stick with me. Two brothers, one crazy wild, one dark and broody, meets one super strong willed, don’t mess with me emotional mess of a girl. This book is super angsty, just enough steamy, kinda dark and drama drama drama. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait for the next in the series. I highly recommend!

O.M.G. With the Father…I’m totally squirreling with that one!!! How crazy does that book sound?!?!?! My moral compass (for books ;) ) just went out of order again…and yep, my leg is bouncing! :D

Linda, the Fallen Crest series actually gets a little better writing-wise as the series goes on. For a series set in high school, those books get steeeeeeeeamy! ;) But I do think you have to be in the mood for a high school setting book to really get into them.

Jean September 22, 2014 at 6:56 PM

Sold! I totally 1-clicked the Fallen Crest series! Great deal!

With the Father sounds crazy scary taboo…..oh I want it!

Linh September 22, 2014 at 7:48 PM

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fallen Crest Series. Its my favorite from Tijan. Mason is my top 3 book boyfriend and sadly, hes in high school. ahahhaa.

Mason is a prequel but it came out after the first 3.
5 stars for the 1st. Fallen Crest High
4 for the second. Fallen Crest Family
One million stars for the 3rd. Fallen Crest Public

I am on pins and needles waiting for the 4th to come out. In the mean time, I guess I will read With the Father.

Lauren September 22, 2014 at 7:52 PM

The Corps Security books are incredible!! All of em!!

Tessa September 22, 2014 at 7:55 PM

♥Mason. Tonight she announces when the fourth book comes out. *fidgets impatiently* I can’t xomplain , though. It took longer than expected because she wanted to make it as good as she could before releasing.

With the father looks antsy. Why am I drawn to these? They stay on my reading list, being consumed three percent at a time before I squeel and walk away.

LucyM September 22, 2014 at 7:58 PM

I have already pre-ordered all of the pre-orders. It’s like Christmas is coming early. Woo-hoo!

Maryse September 22, 2014 at 9:05 PM

I love Christmas! :D

Michelle September 22, 2014 at 10:10 PM

Speechless after reading the blurb for With The Father…I’m going to just stick with Deacon for tomorrow umm yeah…

Picked up Cooper (need that whole series asap!) and The Fallen Crest Series which was too good a deal to pass up.

Jeanie V. September 22, 2014 at 10:49 PM

You guys, With The Father was a total WTF!!! (see what I did there lol!). Can’t wait to hear what you think!!

Amy September 22, 2014 at 11:23 PM

Does anyone know if Fallen Fourth Down (the next Fallen Crest book) is the last one or if there will be another? I didn’t like where the last book was going at the end, and I’m probably going to hold off reading the next one until I can find out if there is a cliffhanger. Especially if things go the way I think they might.

I really don’t like cliffhangers. :|

Amy September 22, 2014 at 11:24 PM

I like where your mind went, Jeanie. ;)

Tessa September 22, 2014 at 11:48 PM

According to Tijan, there will be 5 Fallen Crest books. I know everyone is nervous about four, but I’m anxious. I figure I’ll be the guinee pig and in the forum will probably have a spoiler thread. In it it will say, it’s safe or Noooooooooo!

Tracy September 23, 2014 at 10:34 AM

Fallen Crest is a definite one click for me. Read the first and loved it. I can’t wait to read the others. I have been waiting for the 2nd Monster in his Eyes to come out. So excited to see it’s soon!

Amy September 23, 2014 at 1:18 PM

Well, it’s decided then…I’m not heading back to Fallen Crest until the fifth book comes out just in case the fourth one doesn’t go well for those three. Thanks, Tessa!! :D
