A few surprise new releases from some of our past favorite authors, plus of course… this new pre-order that will be out soon, over there to the left!!! π *squeeeee!!*
And while I’m at making a “weekend” collection of the latest books, I found us some super-bargains, too!
- The Mistake (Off-Campus Book 2)Β by Elle Kennedy <— PRE-ORDER just went up!!! It’ll be out in just a week or so, and I LOVED book #1 like crazy! (Here’s my review ofΒ The Deal).
Here’s To FallingΒ by Christine Zolendz <— ANGSTY HEARTACHE ALERT!!! & JUST RELEASED!!! I’ve LOVED a few of this author’s releases and here’s a brand new standalone that just came out! “We were in loveβ¦until we were ripped apart.Β We moved onβ¦even when we didnβt want to let go.” From the feedback I’m already gettingΒ I’m thinking we’re gonna need to snuggle Amy’s stuffed manatee during this one:
Rachel: I laughed, I cried heaving sobs, I had my heart broken, all of it at the hands of this book. This is beautiful and emotional. It does deal with some very tough, graphic subject matter. The fact that Christine lived through some of these events and laid herself bare to her readers really struck a chord with me. I applaud her for her courage to put this book out there for the public to read. It’s a must read Maryse and it needs to be broadcasted for the world to see.
Kate: This had me up all night: A must read with a box of tissues, wine and a best friend to hug after you are done.
Jessica: My reading club and I just read Christine Zolendz’s Here’s To Falling. I feel high. I’m not kidding around I feel like I got twisted through a wringer and I’m higher than a kite. What a tale. Christine can make you fall in love with three little characters and make them rip you apart and make you fall in love again. This was a hard book to read but so worth it. I feel like I lost weight my heart beat so fast.
Jesse: I’ve been reading it for three hours and oh my god the feelings. I don’t even have the wordsβ¦
Dear Juliet (Forever Family Series Book 3)Β by Trudy Stiles <—Β ROMANCE ANGST! JUST RELEASED & CONCLUSION TO THE SERIES!!! “I’ve known her since the third grade.Β I’ve loved her since our teen years.Β But her heart belonged to my best friend.“
- Promise Me OnceΒ by Paige Weaver <— JUST RELEASED!!! Is it post apocalyptic? It IS a STANDALONE. “Our story is not about love. Love is pretty and sweet and full of niceties. Those no longer exist. Our story is about finding each other again in a world gone crazy. Itβs about surviving the impossible when war ravaged our land. Itβs about saving each other from the darkness and finding out just how strong we could be.“
MarrowΒ by Tarryn Fisher <—Β JUST RELEASED PSYCH-THRILLER (possible love story too?)Β and ties into her other 5-star bookΒ Mud VeinΒ (<— my review).Β I’m reading it as we speak!!!
- The Assassin (A Rough Riders MC Companion Novel)Β by Elle Chardou <— JUST RELEASED!!
- Smash Into YouΒ by Shelly Crane <— SUPER-SALE priced and a blurb that gave me a little jolt! Get a load of this! There’s something special (important?) about him…”…his mother said three final words to him. Three words that changed his whole being. Never stop runningβ¦ Now he’s semi-settled into a big town. The college is huge and easy to blend into. It’s been three months since he had to move because ‘Biloxi’, as he calls the man who killed his mother, found him once more. Then Marley, an eighteen year old girl who is as infuriating as she is blissfully ignorant of her gorgeousness, smashes into his car with hers. Then smashes into his life as he realizes that whatever it is he has that Biloxi wants, she has it, too. And now, they’re after them both.” and I think it *jolted* Carrie, too. π She said: “yep yep, this was one of those books i HAD to have!!”
- Until the End (Sea Breeze Book 9)Β by Abbi GlinesΒ <—Β SUPER-SALEΒ priced “…When Rock finally does get Trisha in his truck, it isnβt for a date. Itβs because he picks her up on the side of the road, beaten and bruised and walking to the local hospital. Before Rock knows it, football is no longer his life. Trisha Corbin is. And heβll do anything to save her. And keep her…“
- The 27 ClubΒ by Kim Karr <— SALE ALERT!!! HER DEAD BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND… “I was always the calm one, the perfect foil to his freewheeling wild spirit. But since his death shortly after his 27th birthday, I’d found myself adrift and directionless. I knew it was time to face my destiny, and I was ready to yield. But then I met Nate, Zachary’s best friend…“
- Twist Me (Twist Me #1)Β by Anna Zaires <— 2 DAY SUPER-BARGAIN! Plus… it’s a DARK READ! (here’s my review)
- LUKE: Complete SeriesΒ by Cassia Leo <— SERIES BUNDLE at a rock bottom price! CEO ALERT!
Loving marrow so far! very powerful. You feel every word she writes.
I’m loving it too… dark but so meaningful.
Blurred Lines by Jennifer K. Brand is also on sale! It’s a mafia romance I absolutely loved! Down 99 cents from 3.99 π
Here’s to Falling is one of the big ones I’ve been waiting for! If I read HTF next will all depend on how Marrow goes…and with the turn it just took, ohhhhh man. No telling how this is gonna go. If it leaves me with Mud Vein feels then I’m going back to the Island before attempting HTF.
Now I just need Under the Influence and My Time In the Affair to be released and I’ll be ecstatic!! π Thanks for the list, Maryse!
By the way, where are you both at in Marrow? I am seriously consumed with this book right now…
I think Here’s to Falling will be next for me….I mean those comments from everyone just make me want to read it right now. But I’m still reading Marrow….at 25%…. how far into it are you Amy?
By the way, I’m not liking Sambucca very much today!
I’m 30% in and having an internal struggle over taking my time and savoring it or plowing through in one sitting. I love this kind of book!
I get it Elizabeth! It’s Tarryn Fisher…. anything she writes just sucks you right in!
Sambuca is great stuff! You just need some hair o’ the dog, Jean. π
I’m at 60% of Marrow and I’m going to sit down shortly and read the rest of it straight through ’til I’m finished. It has me pretty twisted up right now in the most delicious way!
Ooo Amy, I like “twisted up right now in the most delicious way”! I feel like I’m slow reading this… don’t want to miss anything and just waiting for that moment!
I’m at 30% too…. am sitting down and ready for the longhaul.
So far though it’s PURE Tarryn Fisher.
I am so excited that The Mistake is being released so soon. I loved The Deal.
I just finished reading The Nightlife: New York so now I get to start Kulti. Yeah me! Late to the party, I know. Better late than never?
I also just downloaded a freebie because the first two lines of the blurb perked my ears right up. Listen to this:
She sent an innocent man to prison. Now, eight years later, he’s returning the favor…
Iβve been obsessed with Rafe Mason since I was thirteen. The twisted part of this story is that I still want him, even now.
Now that he’s holding me captive on an island.
…………
It is the beginning of a series so it probably has a cliffhanger but it sounds wicked doesn’t it? It’s called Torrent.
You know how we often complain about insta-love in our books? Well, how about insta-love WITH our books? Within the first couple of pages of Kulti I fell head over heels in love with this book. It’s going to be so perfect. The heroine is already so perfect. I’m a huge fan of soccer and with the Women’s World Cup coming up, this couldn’t be a more perfect time for this book.
I’m looking forward to The Mistake too Fabi. And Torrent does sound good!
*GASP*
What the…
*blink blink*
*shakes head goes back to Marrow*
Finished Marrow.
π
Yeah, no words right now. I gotta digest this.
Amy, that scares me and Maryse “pure Tarryn Fisher, not good. *shakes head, Nope not ready to start Marrow*
Can’t wait for The Mistake. Here’s To Falling and the Forever Family sound good.
Reading Beautiful Secret. It flips between male and female pov. It’s an interesting change to have the H an “old-fashioned” kind of guy, who is much less sexually experienced than the h, and more in touch with his “emotions” and more a self-sabotager.
Cheryl, if you read Mud Vein and liked it then you should give Marrow a try. Nothing to be scared of…there is just some stuff in it that I’m still trying to process. But I loved it. So different and soooo what I was looking for. π
Fabi, I knew that blurb sounded familiar. It’s waiting patiently in my tbr now collection.
Amy, I loved and hated Mud Vein. Tarryn Fisher is the queen of the mind f*&k book and I am a HEA kinda girl. The two don’t usually go together.
Amy, Under The Influence? When is that one released and what’s it about??
Cheryl – I’m with you on Mud Vein. I loved – hated it and Marrow will have to wait.
I can’t wait for The Mistake. The Deal has been my favorite book so far this year. I’m almost done with The Third Debt. Love Pepper Winters!
Finished TLHoG and never thought I’d say it but I wanted more in the end after reading it for what 5 days even with my fast reading skills. It did lose a little for me since I figured out where things were heading and I didn’t love the wrap up for all the characters…and yeah it ended when I wanted more of the ‘after’ or even a epilogue would have been nice. I still loved it though and found it a very unique book in the realm of scifi/fantasy romance and that is always a find for me. The story will stick with me that’s for sure.
Of course Here’s to Falling caught my attention from this list so I’m going with that one next. I’ve got my tissues ready since it sounds like an ugly cry waiting to happen…
Just finished Marrow…… can barely process! My mind is in jumbles! OK, I need to evaluate….
Maryse, I need your review like right now! I know you will be able to help sort out the “craziness” for me!!
Almost done… π Review soon. LOL!
Definitely need a light read after Marrow….. can’t do Here’s to Falling right now. I need a rom-com for sure!
Can’t for The Mistake, yay! Thanks for the list Maryse. I am reading “The Hookup and I am liking it.
Torrent was pretty decent. It’s a CH ending, but it actually surprised me on how it ended. Leading up was typical, but the end surprised me. The bases on how and why probably made the book for me. The author did everything correctly, if that makes sense.
Now only 66 in my TBR now…
Oh cool Tessa, you read it. Thanks for the feedback.
Shane I liked the Hook up. It has a great fight scene. It was one that had a lot of buzz. I didn’t go crazy for it the way the buzz led me to believe I would but did really like it. It’s the second book I’m waiting for. The premise sounds really cute.
I loved Marrow for the uniqueness of it and, of course, for the brilliance that is Tarynn Fisher’s writing. The hate part of the love/hate feelings for Mud Vein stemmed from what a tragic character Senna was, even though she was an incredibly strong one. By the end of MV I just wanted a freaking BREAK for her, ya know? I loved Marrow’s tie-in with MV, and I loved how unpredictable and unconventional the story was.
That being said…I’m at 75% of OTI and I wanna skip to the end ’cause it’s just not fair what’s going on after everything they went through!!! *scoffs* Thanks a lot for the heads up on all of that, ladies!!!! π
Rereading my comment, I feel like, all the martinis I had with you guys on Friday are still in effect…
So far, it’s good Bev. I am hung up on the college scene, hence waiting patiently for, The Mistake.
Indebted peeks my interest, I added it to by TBR…
I think I loved it too Amy. Ha! Just what I would expect from Tarryn! I am still thinking about it..analyzing…..that’s a good thing for me! And having problems just jumping into my next read!
Hang in there with OTI…. we would never steer you wrong!
Just finished a book. Now in the process of what do I feel like next? Lol, I love that.
I think I’m going with a Heidi Cullinan next. I’ve seen so many great reviews for her but never read one of her books.
I’m glad that OTI is working for you, Amy. π
I finished Kulti too. Couldn’t move ’till I was done. I don’t know what I’m reading next but I’ll probably dive back into sci fi Rom. Or idk I still have Instinct sitting on my nightstand. Funny I find it harder to read real books now that I’ve gotten so used to ebooks.
Shane and Bev, The Hook Up does sound good. Know I looked at it before; kinda threw me this time because the cover is different now. Have to say I like the present version better. π
Cheryl, sorry I didn’t answer your question earlier! Under the Influence is by L.B. Simmons and comes out next month. Looks like it should be (hopefully!) a manatee-snugglin’ book! π
