HAPPY THURSDAY TO US!!!! eek I’d normally reserve our “late week book finds” for Friday Finds day, but since these look tooooooooo good, and by many of our favorite authors (a few are by my very own favorite authors!!!) I didn’t think it fair to make us wait until tomorrow, since these went live last night!!! *squeeeeeee*

And now, may I present to you, five THURSDAY finds. ;)

  • Hidden Seams by Alessandra Torre <— ALESSSSSSSANDRA TORRRRRE’S LATESSSST!!!!!! He’s about to get his business empire… and the SHE shows up.

“…I’ve worked a decade for this. I’ve sold my soul and my reputation. I’ve lived a lie, smiled for the cameras, and hated myself, all for this fortune.

And then … she pops up. A mysterious heir with a rap sheet, combat boots, and a mouth that I want to pin shut with my—
It doesn’t matter. I’ve played this game for a decade. I can continue the charade a little longer, keep my hands to myself and her body out of my mind.

I can keep my secret until the ink dries and everything is mine.
Or not…”

  • Thrive (Guardian Protection) by Aly Martinez <— ALY MARTINEZZZZZ!!!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING SHE WRITES and now we have a new one to indulge in. :) Tee hee!!! She didn’t choose him, and now she needs him to protect her from the one she DID choose…

“…I chose the wrong man, and for seventeen years, I paid in tears, blood, and shattered dreams for that decision.

Now, there’s a man in my house, holding a gun to my head on the order of my ex-husband—given from his prison cell.

That hotheaded soldier I was too afraid to choose? He’s now a six-foot-three wall of muscle who works at the country’s most premier bodyguard agency. I’ve always wanted him, but now, I’ve never needed him more…”

  • Midnight Blue by L.J. Shen <— L.J. SHEN’S LATEST IS LIVE & HE’S A ROCK STAR!!! She gets a job babysitting a rock star…

“Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes.

“Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.”

Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. One hundred shows. My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god…”

  • Rules of Engagement by Lily White <— LILY WHITE’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! AND!!! IT IS NOT a dark read. I repeat… this is NOT a dark read. But from this blurb, he sure seems like he’s got a dark side. ;) He’s her boss…

“Donovan Stone was a man few people dared to cross.
He was dark.
He was dominating.
He was so silent that you had to watch him closely to begin to know what he was thinking.

He was my boss, and the man I should have run from the minute I walked into his corporate office.

Like any bad decision, it took time for me to see the truth about the game I’d entered, for me to understand that it wasn’t the stalker in the shadows I should fear, but the man who pulled the strings…”

Emily—Thank you for joining me for dinner tonight. And for agreeing to my proposal, as ludicrous as it is. Desperate times call for fake engagements. At least in my family.

I am attaching the contract we discussed. Our lawyers asked that I highlight the following clauses:

•The engagement shall last ninety days
•Both parties are to appear genuinely in love at all royal appearances
•Beyond required public displays of affection, there shall be no contact of any kind between the parties

  • This is Not a Fairytale by by Rebecca Kate <— BLURB JOLT ALERT!!!! I FOUND another one and I just HAD to add this on (so now consider this six Thursday Finds. LOL!!). OMG This sounds ANGSTY and unrequited and tumultuous and just plain AWESOME. OMG I wanna start it now!!!! P.S. I’m in LOVE with this cover!!!!
This is not a fairytale. This isn’t boy meets girl. They don’t fall madly, truly, deeply in love and live happily ever after after. If you were looking for a sweet romance, then turn around right now. This is a story of the one I should have loved, the one I never should have gotten mixed up with, and the one I always wanted but would never have. Of all the stories I’ve written in my life, this is the one that set fire to my soul. This is my story. This is our story. You know what they say, if you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with…

Whhooooooooo. That’s a good looking list! ;) Happy Thursday to us, indeed.

I think I am on shiny overload and can’t figure out what to read.

This Is Not a Fairytale is mine, mine, mine. All I had to see was angsty, unrequited and tumultuous all in one sentence!!

Good morning, beautiful ladies. Hope it’s an awesome Thursday.

And in honor of FLT…
Is it possible that I’m more excited about this wedding than you two?

My FLT: ““Darian, come on. Call him back when we get to our gate. I need to get Annie settled and I want to check flight times.” Waiting for the Sun, by ROBIN HILL.

*throws handful of glitter* *runs back out* Miss you all! It has been a week! So so so so proud of our little Robin!

bev January 18, 2018 at 10:18 AM

I have two FLTs. I’m reading, well actually listening to Tom Waits. But occasionally I am reading in small increments.

I’ll do chapter 1.

“Hold that thought,” Jane says as I turn the corner onto Ceaser Chavez.
~~Waiting for the Sun by Robin Hill.

Rhythmic thuds from a draft team’s huge hooves shook the ground as a rattling wagon approached the livery stable.
~~ Breaking the Rules by Ellen O’Connell

R. Renee January 18, 2018 at 11:23 AM

Eeep! I love seeing my little book! :D And thank you Grey! I hope your week gets better!

This is Not a Fairytale scares the crap out of me so one of you read it and I’ll read the status updates!

“Drip. Drip. Drip.
Rain fell from the overcast sky in sporadic bursts, quick manic showers followed by moments of nothingness.”
Ghosted by J.M. Darhower

Lisa Aiello January 18, 2018 at 3:37 PM

I was gonna jump into This Is Not a Fairytale if Nay wasn’t ready for Ghosted. So right after Ghosted I’m devouring it!! And by the way, just t he Prologue for Ghosted hurt my feelings…it just drips with pain. Squeeeee!!

Amy January 18, 2018 at 5:10 PM

Aha, so THIS is where all the cool kids are hangin’ out. ;)

I came on here ready to yell and scream and freak out about clicking This is Not a Fairytale, but y’all already knew about it!! Don’t all of our great minds think alike??? I am SO starting it after I finish my current read. Speaking of…

“The salad bowl between my feet rocks back and forth as we drive down the road.” ~ I Don’t Regret You by Jodie Larson (not a great first line but DAMN is my tummy all knotted up for this unfortunate woman).

Amy January 18, 2018 at 5:15 PM

Sharon is reading God-Shaped Hole, and Lisa and Nay are BRing Ghosted?!? WAHOOOOO!!!!!!! *happy book dances in the glitter from Grey’s bomb*

I’m having Maryse’s Pepperoncini Pot Roast for supper…I know, the recipe came from elsewhere (Pioneer Woman, right?) but to ME it is Maryse’s Pepperoncini Pot Roast!

Cheryl January 18, 2018 at 5:35 PM

Gotta try that Pepperoncini pot roast.

So happy that the majority of the books listed are KU. Yippee!! Trying to watch my book spending.

“I hate these events.” Hidden Seams by Alessandra Torre.

Amy January 18, 2018 at 5:38 PM

Cheryl…is it all in his POV or does it have her POV as well? Because I freaking LOVE Ms. Torre’s books but, well, you know my issues with all-make POV… :?

Amy January 18, 2018 at 5:39 PM

Styled autocorrect.

Amy January 18, 2018 at 5:39 PM

Okay Cheryl, then it’s safe for me to click it. Thanks!

Sharon F January 18, 2018 at 5:54 PM

bev January 18, 2018 at 6:36 PM

*blinks and looks around* You get busy and things change on you! :P

“She came.”
Two Cabins, One Lake by Shaye Marlow

I’m giggling a lot. Though, best quote was on the first page.
‘A million fiery shards of pleasure lances at her innards’… The phrase failed the wince test, so, no; too painful.
lol Her thinking sounds like something I’d read on here. I love it.

Leslie M January 18, 2018 at 7:48 PM

FLT: I am finishing up dinner with my family and my fiancé when my husband calls.

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Kooloo January 18, 2018 at 10:37 PM

Maryse I really think you would love “My Torin”
I found it a quick read OR maybe I just could not put it down – either way the realism of the characters and their mentalities were superb. The story is one that scooped me up and one that days later I can not let go – gotta lurv the staying power of a good love story!

JulieO January 19, 2018 at 6:15 AM

Currently reading Midnight Blue.
And it’s a bully book for all you bully book lovers out there. About half way and really liking.

Cheryl January 19, 2018 at 6:57 AM

“bully book”—> JulieO, I had already clicked Midnight Blue, now I’m moving it up my tbr!!!

Maryse January 19, 2018 at 10:14 AM

It sounds GREAT Kooloo, and I’ve enjoyed that author’s work in the past. That cover… very intense. Thank you!!

Maryse January 19, 2018 at 10:16 AM

Ohhhh YES!!! Mississippi Pot Roast is my forever favorite. LOL!!!

Maryse January 19, 2018 at 12:08 PM

Amy!?? So how did you like the pot roast?

Amy January 21, 2018 at 12:11 AM

Maryse…it was SOOOOOO good! I made it before when you first mentioned it, but this time I used TWO jars of pepperoncinis with the juice and OMG!! Talk about it having a bite in every single piece of the roast. Yummmmmmmmmmy. :D

Jessica Peterson January 21, 2018 at 1:14 PM

Oh my GOODNESS it’s so cool to see my book, ROYAL RUIN, on this list with so many amazing authors! I’ve been a long time reader of this blog, and I am super flattered to be mentioned :) Thanks ladies!
