Okay first, if you haven’t read The Opportunist, do not scroll down as this is me/us squeeing over tonight’s release of book #2 (Dirty Red). Instead, go check out my review of book #1 (and you’ll see by the crazy amount of comments that this book – now a series – REALLY affected us.

It’s OUT!! The secret is LIVE as we speak on Amazon. FINALLY!!!!! The crazy, angsty, turbulent saga continues!! Leah’s book is out, and we can all continue this crazy journey together. I have a feeling we’re gonna need each other, BIG time for this one, too.

Now I know… I know. I understand. I do. I know we only want to be “Olivia” and live through her eyes, and you know… deal with the whole “Caleb” thing the way WE want (I can’t say more in case we have some newcomers that still haven’t experienced the awesome tumultous agony that is “The Opportunist”), but you know… who knows, right?
After all, both girls were guilty of some pretty opportunistic scheming and well, Caleb was no angel either. I know we felt pain and I know we want resolution. And I’m with you guys. I WAS Olivia for awhile and why oh WHY would I want to be Leah, now? But you know what? Enough time has passed and I’m ready to try something new. I’m ready to slip into new skin and continue living this agitation of a “love story”. I’m ready to experience it through new eyes, and ready to see where we are now. Where we are going? And I’m even more curious to see if I will change my mind. Comprehend. Maybe even *gasp* relate to… her. ACK!!! Right? I understand. Believe me, I do.
But guess what? I’ve been reading it. I got it just a teensy bit earlier today (that’s how I knew the “secret”) and I will say, Leah, so far, is who we know her as, but OMG I’m HOOKED!!!!! Tarryn’s writing is amazing. I am inside of Leah’s head and I can’t help but to be totally immersed and react to everything she thinks. I’m so delightfully uncomfortable, and she’s already made me cringe tons. She’s 100% believable! You may be in the “villain’s” head, but …. I dunno. I’m thinking this one has the potential to be just as exciting as book #1.
I am so relieved it is live so I can stop refreshing/stalking Amazon and really slip into Leah’s skin. I know. *sigh* What I do for the love of books. I even temporarily bond with the “hated” characters. It’s so tough. Not. 😉 SO far, I gotta say… Tarryn’s raw and impassioned writing and Leah’s unapologetic thought processes feel 100% real.

OMG! I have it now but I’m not sure this is the crazy I want to read for Christmas. The first book totally did me in, I was crying for a whole day!
Read all night! Couldn’t stop. I was afraid the book would try to make us like Leah. But for me I still feel the same. EVIL!! The last line of the last chapter blew me away. Can’t wait for the next book. I have to have some closure with all these characters. I just HAVE to know what happens. I did not see the last chapter turning out like that I was shocked.. Thank you so much Maryse for telling me about The Opportunist(one of my fav books ever). I can’t even get my thought composed its 6:30 in the morning I hope I can go to sleep and wrap my mind around the end of this book. Hugs to u Maryse for letting us know about Tarryn Fisher.
yeeeyy….maryse i swear im way pass the squeeee and OMG’s…im in heaven:)))….just got it. thanks for the info;)…if u find news bout the third book let us know. i havent even started the second and im already asking about the third:)) can u belive this:D…nut i swear that if in the end caleb and olivia dont end up together im not reading anything tarryn writes anymore…:( i dont care if they are like 75 and walk with canes. they must be together. the love they share is the only reediming quality they have.
OMGosh, my TBR list is ssssooooooo long now, I feel like I will never catch up, but it is going to be soooo much fun trying….heheheheheh

I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one up till 4 am reading this book just because I couldn’t put it down!!! I was up the night before till 2 finishing up Love Unrehearsed!!! I’m going to be a zombie today! Loved how Dirty Leah is 😉 and yes I want the next book now I need it I need a HEA but Dirty Red was so good I didn’t know how to feel about it coming from Leah’s POV when we found out about this installment but yes yes yes she is so DIrty! I will probably be bugging Taryn about for the 3rd book everyday!

just finished:D…leah’s mind was a windwhirl and i loved it…that girl can do bad like no other. after the little stunt olivia pulled in that hotel room in the opportunist i thought there’s no way tarryn can imagine and create a more crazy and disturbed character. well i was wrong. leah blew my mind. i used to think olivia didnt have enough love for herself but leah just beat that stake and took it to a whole other level. intense would be a good word to descrive all that this book has made me feel. i drank each word like an addict. we must get a HEA for the poor caleb. even if this book was leah’s POV i swear that with each page i felt like this book was some sort of love letter from caleb to olivia. it melt my heart

Loved books 1 & 2! Caleb is certainly no angel but I want to see him with Olivia in the end.
