<— Okay after reading this synopsis, I wanted to make a post to let y’all know it has just been released. I haven’t read it yet, but you know that title totally had my attention, and the synopsis seems promising. 😉
So while I’m at it, here are some more author tidbits and book stuff (including a super-bargain for a book that is HIGH on my TBR list – another synopsis that has me excited). It’s a slow author-news weekend (I think the authors are either writing ferociously or out having fun right now ;)) so as I find more, I’ll keep adding it to this list.
- JUST RELEASED!!! Madeleine Abducted (The Estate Series) by M.S. Willis, and yep! That synopsis has me!! “Maddy accepts the admiration of a stranger and finds herself captive in a cruel and twisted power struggle between a sadistic father and his son, Aaron. Seemingly dangerous and uncaring, Aaron manages the business operations of his father’s estate. Wanting nothing to do with the slaves kept at the Estate, Aaron refuses to take part in the deeper depravities of his father. Despite his resistance, Aaron’s father ‘gifts’ him with a petite, brunette woman he can’t refuse.” <— EEEP!
BARGAIN BOOK ALERT!! YAY!! Stephanie just made my day with this notice. 🙂 “Fraternizing (Fraternizing #1)” by C.C. Brown! The one where a male Sergeant and a female Private First Class in the Marines… “fraternize”. I hear it’s really good (slight cliffhanger, but not as bad as some…)
- And the title for Ben’s book (#4 in the Ten Tiny Breaths series) is… “Five Ways to Fall” by K.A. Tucker (see the blog post)
- Here’s a cool interview with Laura Kaye with a look into her “start”… (she even links to the “comments” section where she proposes a book about a “Greek snow god” (this one—> North of Need (Heart of the Anemoi))? Hehe!! Love this! P.S. Speaking of that series, look what’s coming out in April (and is up for pre-order) —> East of Ecstasy (A Hearts of the Anemoi Novel)
- K.A. Linde (author of the (Avoiding Series) just posted an FAQ (of sorts) on her blog, saying:
“Here is a quick (not so quick) update with ALLLL the information that you have been asking me about. You all might want the answers to these questions and you don’t EVEN know it!!!”
Ooh! LOVED Fraternizing. What a steal @ $0.99!
I know!!! 😀 I got it!! *happy dance*
Finding you by S.K. Hartley is .99 until 9pm…. Amazing book with a crazy cliffhanger…..
39% into Madeline Abducted. Eeeeep is right!!!!!!!
Should I wait for the sequel before reading Fraternizing? I hate cliffhangers. 🙂
Manic: Rook & Ronin #2 was $0.99 as of five minutes ago.
I found Madeline and quickly put it on my wish list!! Can’t wait to see the reviews!!
There is a free Novella just released on amazon called “Finding Cinderella:A Novella” by Colleen Hoover.

I know my comment has nothing to do with your blog above but I love Carter Reed!! What an exciting book!!!
Read Finding You yesterday & liked it but I’m swearing off cliffhangers till all books are released. I’m so sick & tired of reading a book only to find @ the end that I’ve gotta wait & pay to find out what happens next. I almost feel taken advantage of when I pay $2.99 for a book, only to pay another $3.99 a few months later so I can find out how it ends. Ok, stepping off my soapbox now…..
Just found this website and wanted to say THANK YOU for the BEST. Book review blog out there! I absolutely love to read and have recommended this site to dozens of friends. THANK YOU AGAIN!
Love your blog! I never leave comments, but wanted to warn about Madeleine Abducted. I am actually partial to dark reads and like a lot of grit. This is not gritty…it is just creepy. It is *not* in the vein of CJ Robert’s amazing series. Madeleine Abducted has a period romance approach to the dialogue, with a few parts *really* crossing the line. Seriously…this makes Madeline Sheehan’s stories seem *not violent.* Romance and this storyline do not belong together.
The pendulum swing of what the heroine is subjected to and then blinking lovingly at the main character…just not believable. It takes the innocent virgin and dark man romance to an extreme. Finally (and most importantly) the whole “clean up” part is very glossed over. Wayyyy too violent to gloss over.
I just have to warn folks about the book.
