Creed (Unfinished Heroes book #2) by Kristen Ashley!!
This is the second book in her “Unfinished Heroes” series (the first being “Knight“). Book #1 was a very popular book with many fellow readers, as it portrayed a super-alpha male and his much more submissive heroine. But Knight is not your usual hero. In fact the author considers these guys her “anti-heroes”.
And while I didn’t connect so much to Knight as I normally do with Kristen’s alphas, many readers did. He is certainly an alpha and then some. The whole bad-boy thing, plus some other… stuff. 😉
Okay so here’s the Creed synopsis (Also make sure to check out Kristen Ashley’s warning, on the Amazon page, as it is pretty intense regarding the subject matter of this book).:
Way too young, eleven year old Tucker Creed and his six year old neighbor, Sylvie Bissenette, find they have something awful in common. Creed then decides he’s going to do everything in his limited power to shield his Sylvie from her ordeal. So he does and Creed and Sylvie form a bond that grows and blossoms with their ages.
They plot to leave their lives behind, the town they live in that will hold them down and the histories they share that, unless they break free, will bury them. Sylvie goes to their special place, Creed never shows and she doesn’t see him again until it’s too late.
With Creed gone, Sylvie is forced to endure a nightmare and do the unspeakable to end it. To deal, she develops a hard shell with sharp edges that very few can break through. So when Creed again finds his Sylvie, he discovers the girl he loved is locked away and he has to find his way back into her heart without getting shredded in the process.
And on the lighter side, Tara Sivec’s sequel is out! Futures and Frosting (Chocolate Lovers book #2)!! Wow that was quick! Exactly one month ago, I read book #1, and ended my birthday in the perfect way. With a laugh out loud book!
Ohhhhh how I laughed reading Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers book #1). Well, we all did, it would seem. The first one was not a book to read in public if you have the snorty kind of laugh, ’cause OMG you won’t be able to contain it! Hilarious and just the perfect mix of steamy romance to make this a light-hearted and memorable read. Looking for something to pull you out of one of those dark book moods? This’ll do it! I haven’t read book #2 yet, but I’m definitely on it!

Woo hoo! Between wrapping up Love Unrehearsed and these two, it looks like I have a great reading lineup in the week ahead. I have been patiently waiting for both of these books. Oh but which one to read first?!

My fav Kristen Ashley’s so far are (and i mean sooo good that they are some of my favorite books, not just of Kristens books) Sweet Dreams, Mystery Man, Motorcyle Man, Lady Luck, but there are so many that I still have to get into that everyone loves…

I stayed up until the sun was up this morning finishing Futures and Frosting – I didn’t think it was possible that this book could come anywhere near the first one — but it totally did… I was literally shaking the bed with my laughter while my husband was snoring next to me… Seriously awesome follow-up to Seduction and Snacks… Loved loved loved it!!!!

I just read On Dublin Street today, which I loved. Just checking out your site to see what to read next. Downloaded Fuctures and Frosting. Guess I won’t sleep much tonight :). I loved the first book. I was on vacation with my family and constantly got asked what I was reading because I couldn’t stop laughing. Thanks for letting me know book 2 was released!
