Reader Question – The book about the BDSM club in Tampa owned by brothers…

Adele is looking for a book about a BDSM club in Florida and since I live here, the “Tampa” sex-club detail in a book always catches my eye, so I already have 2 guesses right off the bat!

She asks:

Hi Maryse, I am looking for a book, can’t remember the title to save my life. Hoping you or your readers can help.

The series is set in Florida and involves a BDSM club that I *think* 3 (4?) brothers own. Each book is about one of the brothers.

I may be wrong on this part, but I think the last book ended on a cliff hanger, the girl was pregnant and they’d broken up and the girl was staying with his mother but planning on leaving?

I remember in one of the other installments the love interest was a bar tender that was hired to work at the club. Ideas?

Okay so here are my TWO guesses. The first one is a series that I HAVE read a few books from, and enjoyed very much (totally BDSM), called The Masters of the Shadowland series (not paranormal despite that title, but definitely BDSM club in Tampa) and the second guess is a blurb I just read this week (on one of the release lists) and it too, talks about a club in Florida. It’s called Club X Complete Series by K.M. Scott.

But… maybe there are other guesses (and series and/or single books) in this genre that might be the one?

Anyone else?

AJ is looking for one that I thought I could answer, but I too, am forgetting the title. It came out (and was much loved) back in 2012 or 2013. In fact, I think this was one of Nancy’s favorites (she’s one of our book-buds!). I see the cover… it’s black and white-ish (sepia?). A man’s torso. I think a woman’s arm. Is Beyond in the title?

I’m trying to find a book I read a while ago & loooved.

It’s about a lady who has a stalker, and the stalker hired an ex army guy to kidnap her, telling him that she is his wife who has just run away from home.
The girl and guy have an instant attraction and *spoiler*, but he still drops her off to the stalker (she can’t convince him that he’s really a stalker) as soon as he leaves her there he *spoiler*, *spoiler* and the sh!t hits the fan, the *spoiler* and the *spoiler*. They *spoiler*

I’m pretty sure I found the recommendation from your site! But can’t find it again. Appreciate if you can help me find the book again!!!!!

Revealed: (Brides of the Kindred Book 5)

This book is sooo aaawwwhhhh! The love scenes in this one are just beautiful. I wish I had such a great experienced lover for my first time!

In this new story, Nadiah, Sylvan’s Tranq cousin, needs a Kindred to be her champion. She’s always wanted to fall in love with a Kindred but, since her presence at Sophie’s wedding where she kissed the wrong man, she cannot take Detective Rast out of her head. Not only is he from Earth, but he does not believe in her abilities to see the future.

We are taken to Trank home world again and I enjoyed every minute of their visit. How can you hate and love a species at the same time? Well Evangeline Anderson makes her characters so well that you enjoy hating them! Lol

And then, off to another new world that got me wanting to be able to space travel to see it with my own eyes. Wow! Oh and there is a new bad guy… extremely strange… who seeks revenge for being out for a thousand years. He’s just walking cruelty!

It is so wonderful the way Evangeline Anderson knits everything together. In all the books, you have news from the characters of the books before, while the universe continues to evolve, and I find it so easy never to get lost or not remember a single one, while she introduces yet some new characters that are soooo interesting that you just crave to read the next book to get their story as well!

Found: (Alien I/R Scifi Romance) (Brides of the Kindred Book 4)

Science fiction at it’s best! New worlds, spaceship travels, mad alien scientists… Evangeline Anderson puts her characters to the test and makes them live life threatening situations that kept me at the edge of my seat.

This time, Lauren, the twin sisters’ cousin, finds herself having the hots for her captor’s son, none other than the Scourge throne heir himself. Used to a life of hurting, torture and psychological abuse, Xairn knows nothing about friendship… so imagine love! But his body is waking up in a way that is frightening him because he knows pain needs to be a part of it all. How much pain can she endure for the love of him?

Evangeline Anderson brings us in a story where both antagonists must learn the limits of their own pleasure through pain and domination. She touches that delicate subject in a very exciting way, while also giving us a close-up at the couple’s line of thought. I enjoy the way she goes from one character to the next, giving us access to what they are thinking and where they are coming from.Right from the first book, we never see the story from only one angle, but from multiple angles. Another thing I love from her writing is how she gives the readers cues on what is coming… while leaving the characters in the dark. And, while we know what will happen, she surprises us nonetheless by giving it a twist of her own.

Don’t be turned off by the number of stars I gave this one compared to the first three books of the series… I was just a bit less touched by the main characters in this one. Just personal taste really.

These are the ones today that have me salivating to read ’em!!! Steadfast (I love this author, and this one’s about a recovering addict, ex-con comes back to town, and her police-officer father doesn’t want her near him!), Deep Redemption (I need to catch up on the series, but book #1 was good, and the way my fellow readers are freaking out over this super-gritty release, I know it’s for me!), His to Protect (she’s homeless after escaping her abusive husband, and the restaurant owner finds her scrounging in his dumpster for food…), Edge of Glory (She’s a HUGE fangirl, and he’s an Olympic star, and she embarrasses herself in front of him), Luck, Love & Lemon Pie (<— OMG THIS ONE!! This sounds like it might be a little… “Taylor Jenkins Reid-like”, and it’s right up my alley! Marital strife, and loneliness, so she takes up poker-playing on her spare time and ends up doing well and catches a Poker star’s interest!! Eeeeep!!!), Crazy Stupid Obsession (she had a one-night and he broke her heart, and now her roommate is shacking up with his best friend…), and My Love Is Blue (an artist loses the love of her life, and becomes a reclusive, but when she needs to earn money teaching art, her new cop-student helps heal her heart…). Oh!! And Hottest Mess (I’m intrigued by what makes them so forbidden that they have to remain a secret… sounds juicy!)
