Kasi is looking for this one! ARRANGED MARRIAGE ALERT and it could very well be infuriating!!
Umm I found this feed where someone was looking for a book on someone else’s behalf and even I got interested in the plot.
I don’t think there are any spoiler’s tho but if there are any please forgive me in advance
The plot from what that person remembers goes like this:
He burns her house down with her father in it as a child. He’s a bad man and a mafia boss. She’s placed in an asylum until 18 when she’s forced into marriage to the new bosses son.
Does this ring a bell? If it does can you let me know. It’s a romance genre
Thanks a lot in advance
ROARRRR!! I wanna read it. 😉
Do you know it?
Wendy: L.J. Shen’s “Sparrow”.
Maryse: YESSSS!!! I read that one and it was crazy and intense, and it ALL came back to me now. This has GOT to be the one!! P.S. Here’s my Book Review
Kasi: I don’t think so because in Sparrow the father of the heroine is was alive at the wedding also the girl wasn’t sent to an asylum. But thanks anyways ❤️❤️ any other suggestions?
Terena: Are we sure it was her father and not her mother? I’m coming up blank on the title but if it’s the book I’m thinking of the mother was shot and then the house was burnt down not knowing her daughter was hiding.
Kasi: So I got back to the person who posted the plot on her friend’s behalf and she feels that her friend who read the book might have mixed up the plots. From that I inferred that that person probably mixed up the plotlines of
- Sparrow for the marriage and mafia part and
- Numbers (New Species Book 14) by Laurann Dohner for the burnt down house and asylum part.
And yes in Numbers it was in fact the mother who was shot and burnt in the house while the daughter witnessed it. So that’s my conclusion. But anyways thank you all for your time and effort in helping me locate the book(or books I guess). 🙂 I really really appreciate it and am thankful to you all. Thank you Maryse too for responding to my request ❤️❤️
Terri: I saw this on Goodreads and somebody suggest Sin by Elena M. Rheyes and it is my next KU purchase.
Laura: Got a feeling it might be Scarred Queen (The Queens Book 1) by Nikita Slater?
