Reader Question – The book about the man that fostered her but they fell in love…

Cynthia needs our book help! Ohhhhh boy I could swear I’ve either read this blurb, or we’ve had this question before… but either way, it is FORBIDDEN!!!!

I do know I read a forbidden one like this recently where her “uncle” (not by blood) became her guardian, and they hated each other… until they didn’t. It was Crossed Lines by Lana Sky and here’s my book review. I don’t think it’s this one, though.

She asks:

I am very new to your blog as i just discovered it a few days ago and i am very addicted. thanks a lot for the good work that you do for books lovers like me.

There is a book i read a couple years back and i have been trying to reread it but i can not seem to remember the title or author.

It is a forbidden love story between a young girl and an older man. The man adopted or fostered her due to some reasons but the fell in love which led to a lot of societal issues and child protection services also came knocking.

There were a lot more details in the middle but i can only remember this much.

Maryse: Then again… I also read All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, and while I don’t think he was her official guardian, he did take care of her for the most part… and then stuff. And DCF was definitely involved in that one!!! OH BOY. That was a hard book for me to read.

Jackie: He was technically her stepfather but this makes me think of Sins of September by Graysen Blue
