Marina needs our book help! The title doesn’t even touch what Marina wrote in the details, there is just so much more, so maybe you’ll know it?
She asks:
Hi Marysa,
I need your help finding a book. The book is part of the series which I think focuses on a security (?) firm.
Main characters were in love and together in college. I think he was a rookie police officer and had to shoot a person and couldn’t handle it so broke up with the heroine. She was pregnant at that time and didn’t tell him (or mb found out later, not sure).
Years later her younger sister is adducted while they were driving a car together. The heroine looks up the hero online and know he works at a security firm (may be in LA). She flies there with her daughter to ask for help.
When she gets to the office the hero is not there but his colleagues suspect something and are trying to make her stay until the hero gets there. The hero is in a relationship with another woman living together.
That’s all I remember from the first couple of chapters. Oh, and the next book in the series is about the sister.
Please could you post it and may be some one could recognize the book?
