Reader Question… Solved! The book about two doctors, where she has a secret crush on him but he doesn’t like her back & can be mean to her…

Laura needs our book help! Oooooooh unrequited love?? YES PLEASE!!! P.S. Read carefully because at a certain point I spoiler alert. 🙂

She asks:

I am trying to find a book about doctors where I think she is a resident and has had a crush on her friend who is also a doctor. I can’t remember if he is a resident or attending but he doesn’t like her back and has no clue that she likes him!

My memory is a little hazy on some parts so some of this might not be 100 percent accurate.

He actually ends up being pretty mean to her in some parts of the book.

And then she takes on like a research project or something like that and goes out of the country for it but then ends up getting sick with Malaria or something similar and is forced to come back.

I think he picks her up from the airport? And takes care of her.
