Our Buddy Read Discussion – Under Locke by Mariana Zapata

BIKER BLAST FROM OUR PAST ALERT!! I’m feeling nostalgic for this author (YAY ME!! I have a few books left to read by her), and just found this fun discussion amongst our book crew. I’ve already reviewed this book (Book Review – Under Locke by Mariana Zapata), but consider this a part 2. Kind of a reading “behind the book” peek. An addendum, if you will.

And it was so fun to re-read this entire conversation, ’cause it happened over the course of a few days, and I was prepping for Book Bash back then. ALL sorts of excited and nerve-wracking feelings flooded me all at once… ’cause I remember. 🙂 SO INTENSE!! 😬 read more

Reader Recommendations – Romance stories like Pretty in Pink but where the jerk gets the girl instead…

By Leave a Comment

Jaymei needs our book helps and OMG YESSSSSS!!!!! I totally want a list of books like this. YES YES YES!!! Not the best friend, and not the anticipated “hero” of the story either, but the jerk of the story GETS HER?? YES!!! This is TOTALLY one of my favorite tropes.

I love hating on a bad guy, and feeling all of that angst and turmoil and trauma, and then whoooooops… he becomes THE LOVE INTEREST!! GASP!!!! And it has to be hard to get, for me, you know? Like, I especially love it when it surprises me, or when something happens that changes EVERYTHING. read more

Reader Question – The biker book where he claims her and forces her to get his name tattooed on her…

By 2 Comments

Stephanie is looking for this one and it sounds tumultuous. Short and sweet in detail but just enough I’m sure, to spark someone’s memory.

She asks:

Help me find dark biker romance. I read this dark biker romance awhile ago.

The biker claims her without know and is super possessive and won’t let her leave him.  He forces her to get his name tattooed on her (not tattooed by him).

She doesn’t know about tattoo until she gets there.

Anyone have a guess?

Aimee: I am not sure but I think something like this happens in Outlaw by Nicole James. read more

Harley Diamond – The Outlaw Chess Series: An MC and Mafia Crossover Universe Series Reading Order

By 7 Comments

UNREQUITED LOVE/ALPHA JERK/TEAR-JERKER SERIES ALERT!! Aimee devoured this series and absolutely LOVES IT!!! So now I must dedicate a post to it. 😉

Aimee:  I started a MC romance series that has to be read in order. The Outlaw Chess Series by: Harley Diamond.

It has a unique style where each chapter is a character, from the same series, has a point of view even though it’s about one character for each book! That’s the whole reason you have to read them in order…. Ace is the first one and some parts were a little long but it leads you into the rest of the other books. 6 book series! read more
