Olivia needs our book help, and this one is sort of two fold, so I’m separating it out into TWO posts. π She’s looking for a specific book in this “rich heroine/blue collar hero” trope, AND she’d love more recommendations in this trope, too. π
She asks:
I remember reading a book a while back, she was wealthy and he was a construction worker I believe?
He saved her life one day when she was walking down a street, she was very rich and they were both older not college aged.
It was a series of books and that was the first book.
I wish I could remember the author.Β
Anyone have a guess?
Jan: It kinda reminds me of Double Standards by Judith McNaught. Old school but I remember it as a good read (although probably non-PC now LOL). Heβs wealthy and owns the company.
If I remember rightly, she stumbles into one of his construction sites one day and he rescues her. Or something like that?? (Itβs been a while since I read it). He was older, but not sure about her? Not quite the same as your trope, but it just reminded me of that book, so maybe?
Jan: Oh I just saw your other question posted Olivia, and itβs about Judith McNaught, so i guess thatβs not the book you were looking for? LOL. Oh well.

I still added it in, Jan! Sounds like a good read and similar to this trope. π
