BRAND NEW ROMANCE SERIES by one of our favorite authors (her writing and storytelling and emotion is just incredible!!). And we have a few in our crew that are LOVING this one as we speak!
Cheryl: Just finished The Girl in The Love Song. I so love the writing, it just flows. I wondered since this started when the H and h were 13, what would happen and would there be a long, painful separation. There was angst, but l survived. π
Kisha: The Girl In the Love Song, Emma Scott lists a playlist before the book begins. Should we be listening to those songs at specific points throughout the book?
R. Renee: Most, if not all, of Emmaβs songs appear in her books at various places. And she does have a spotify playlist for them, but Iβm not 100% on the order. She treats her playlists like soundtracks, and they even include opening and closing credit songs. With The Girl in the Love Song, she also has two songs she wrote that are linked in the e-book where they appear. Theyβre both on spotify too.
M.L.: Hi! I just finished When You Came Back to Me by Emma Scott and itβs easily the best book Iβve read this year. Itβs an emotional and powerful love story of two lost souls that is beautifully written. Totally worth the book hangover Iβm now suffering. If youβre looking for something new β check it out.
Michele G: I totally agree M.L.!! It was a beautifully written book and easily one of my faves this year as well!
About book #1
At Santa Cruz Central High School, they called them the misfits, the outcasts, the weirdos. But most of us knew them as the Lost Boys…
Miller Stratton is a survivor. After a harrowing childhood of poverty, he will do anything it takes to find security for himself and his mom. Heβs putting all his hopes and dreams in the fragile frame of his guitar and the beauty he creates with its strings and his soulful voice.
Until Violet.
No one expects to meet the love of their life at age thirteen. But the spunky rich girl steals Millerβs heart and refuses to give it back.
Violet McNamaraβs life hasnβt been as simple as it looks. Her picture-perfect family is not so perfect after all. Her best friend Miller is her one constant and she is determined not to ruin their friendship with romantic complications.
But the heart wants what it wants. As Millerβs star begins to rise to stratospheric heights, what will it take for Violet to realize that sheβs the girl in all of his love songs?
