Thank you to this week’s newsletter sponsor, Kimberly Knight!! YAY! 🙂 We are celebrating her latest release that just went LIVE today, with a signed copy giveaway!!
This one sounds SO angsty and sooooo good and now we get a sneak peek behind the books (and the author)!
FACTS ABOUT THE HALO SERIES
1.) Tattooed Dots and Never Stop (books 1 and 3) are inspired by actual events that happened in my life. I don’t want to spoil it, but mostly everything Brooke goes through, besides the romance story, are things I’ve experienced.
2.) The sets of friends go on a cruise. I wrote about some of the things I experienced on my honeymoon cruise. The week after my husband and I returned, the ship broke down in the middle of the ocean and the passengers were without AC, food, etc. for days. They had to eat Spam. My husband and I were so close to having that happen to us!
3.) In The One, Nicole is asked to sit on a guy’s jacket at a bar. 1000000000% happened to be when I was 21. Though, unlike Nicole, I didn’t keep the jacket.
4.) In My One, Avery and Nicole go to Santa Barbara under some unfortunate circumstances. They fall in love with tacos from a taco stand they come across. It is my mission to drive to SB this summer and try the tacos because after seeing everything online about the place, I NEED the tacos in my life.
5.) This series has taken me four years to write. When an author tells you that they put their blood, sweat, and tears into their books, know that I literally did. Tattooed Dots was supposed to be a standalone but something told me it wasn’t. When you read the series, you’ll understand. Brooke is me. Reliving everything was both therapeutic but also one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. To this day, I’m still affected. To this day, I still fight. And to this day, I’m a survivor.
About book #1:
Inspired by a True Story.
People are brought into our lives for many reasons. Over time, we find out who is meant to be a temporary acquaintance and who will be there for a lifetime.
Easton Crawford put his modeling career before his marriage until it was ending in divorce. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needs him to be. He’s not looking for someone to step into the mother role—just nightly casual hook-ups.
When his best friend convinces him that a good way to meet single women is to go on a singles cruise, he finds more than just a one night stand.
At age thirteen, Brooke Bradley became an adult, raising her younger sister while her mother continually ignored her parenting responsibilities. Since then, Brooke has continued to take care of the people in her life, including her deadbeat boyfriend, Jared.
For Brooke’s thirtieth birthday, her best friend surprises her with a cruise but fails to mention it’s a singlescruise. When Brooke meets Easton, the one man willing to be her constant, will she finally find the courage to leave Jared?Easton knows that Brooke is someone who is meant to be in his life forever, but when a health scare threatens to change everything, Brooke and Easton are faced with unanswered questions and unspoken fears. Are Brooke and Easton only meant to be temporary acquaintances or are they brought into each other lives for a lifetime?

Now I’m going to have to read these. I’ve been to Santa Barbara several times and have had tacos. Not at a stand but next time I’m going I’ll be looking for the stand. You should totally go. It’s a beauty town.
Love this series. Appreciate the giveaway. No meet cutes for me. Lol!
