Very dark read indeed. Similar to Pepper Winter Dollar Series, but maybe not as “evil”. It’s funny how we leave our sanity when we read these dark tales. We immediately want to sympathize with the good and the bad. I’m always wondering who thinks up this stuff! Anyways, I loved it and I’m anxiously awaiting Buttons and Hate. Try it
I just couldn’t get into this one, which was so unusual for me, as this is right up my alley. I think it was the writing style more than the storyline. I managed to finish it, but I’m not sure I’m on board for book 2 or 3. Oh well, that’s what makes the world go round!!

Maryse, it was very dark & disturbing but I had to keep reading because I had to know what happened next. Jen R it did remind me of the Dollar Series too & I can’t wait for that next book too!!!
