Shelly Crane – The Significance Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

I heard about this series through a fellow reader-friend’s recommendation, and by the looks of the reviews, this one’s gonna be GREAT! And!! The first book is going to be a movie! (thank you Cece, for the news!)

Tess emailed me saying:

“Just wanted to recommend a book that I just finished. It’s called Significance by Shelly Crane. I absolutely adored this book. There are currently 2 books in the series but it is on-going. It’s YA, & I don’t usually read a lot of YA books, but this one was sooooo good!!! The romance & connection between Maggie & Caleb was intense & I could not put it down. I’m now going to start book 2…. I hope you check it out!”

and Sara commented:

“I recently read both and am positive you are going to love them!! I found your blog about a month ago and have been reading several of your recommendations ( a lot of them I had already read, seems we have the same taste :) ) Caleb is no bad boy Travis but he is so sweet and so completely consumed with Maggie that I didn’t even miss the story lacking a bad boy alpha. Plus in the second book Shelly lists her soundtrack for certain scenes in the story. Everytime I hear the songs it takes me right back to parts of the book as if I was right there with them!”

About the series:

Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who’s had a bad year. She was smart and on track but then her mom left, her dad is depressed, she’s graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football schalorship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has. Then she meets Caleb. She saves his life and instantly knows there’s something about him that’s intriguing but she is supposed to be on her way to a date with his cousin. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally. They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she’s ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive. Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb’s enemies know he’s imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him. Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

Sounds good! Plus… these are bargain priced!

I dont know maybe I have gotten so use to the “Alpha Male” Thing that Mr. Caleb being so repetitivly sweet drove me a tad bit nuts. I did like the book but I could put it down and go to sleep with out obsessive thoughts of the main characters.

I agree. I did not find this book to be that good. It was too YA for me.
