Following my heart, one book at a time...
Okay this one I brought to our Facebook crew last week, and while we’ve had some guesses and some interest, I’m not sure if it’s been guessed correctly yet, so I’m bringing it to you in case you have more suggestions for me to add-on.
Skyla needs our book help!! Maybe someone knows it? She asks:
“Okay, Maryse, I’m not sure if I’m mixing the book story in this one with another because it’s been so long since I’ve read it or imagined it out cause of so many similar I’ve read before.
Scary dark series alert!!!
Kimmie: Maryse have you read the Deception Series by D.H. Sidebottom & Ker Dukey. Finished Facade at 3 in the morning and OMG. Dark Total WTH headtrip. So good. Reading Cadence.

MichelleS: …finished FaCade. So here’s the deal: it ends with a cliffhanger… dang it… and I did NOT see that coming at all. so that’s good – it surprised me. It was dark, though… and there’s one scene that is just… well… disturbing… but we’ve all read Captive in the Dark and Mud Vein and Tied Man and Bad Things… so we can handle it. I am giving book one 4.5 stars because it was riveting, but I didn’t get attached to anyone, you know? I’m waffling on the 4.5 stars….. but will read book two because now that I know, I’ve got to see how it plays out.
YAY!!! This is reminiscent of the days we’d discover the bestest books ever on Fictionpress. Free reads that new authors would create and add to, week by week and hook us all! Pure reading addition! The book would come alive right before our very eyes, and many have even become HUGE best sellers today.
My own personal experience with these… “originally free reads” was Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and Avoiding Commitment by K.A. Linde just to name a few. I read ’em back back “then”.
