Judy needs our book help! HOLY MOLY this one sounds crazy, and intense and DARK!!!!

She asks:

I’ve have been trying to find a book for a while now and was hoping this community could help.

So these are some details of the book:

heroine has a son and is on the run from abusive husband. This husband of hers made her kill people so she is very skilled in combat; essentially she is an assassin (there’s a part of the plot where the reason she was so susceptible to doing what her husband ordered was because he was giving her an experimental drug that makes you obey commands). read more

WOMAN ON THE RUN & IN HIDING ALERT!! TOTALLY MY THING!! Looks like each one is about a different couple (tortured woman & a strong protector). When I asked our book crew what series they were obsessed with, Brenae told me she was obsessed with this one! HOLY MOLY how did I miss this?

Sarah needs our book help! Oh this is totally my trope. I love books about heroines starting over (in hiding) in a new town (makes me think of a few of my favorite books like books by Kyle Moon (in her “Battered Hearts” series), but this one below, is not it.
