Reader Favorites – Kandace’s Top Favorite Books List:

Kandace and me! 😀

Kandace has been my book-bud for YEARS now!! We hang out online, comparing book notes and recommendations, we meet up at book conventions and in fact, she’s here with me, at my house, right now!! My very own online book friend come to life!! 😀

Highly Recommended Historical Romance Books

Talk of historical romance stories is plentiful here, and even though I am not well-versed in this genre, we have many fellow readers that absolutely LOVE and highly recommend ’em. I couldn’t help myself! I just had to compile the most talked about ones into a list.

After all, I’ve loved a few of ’em myself (haven’t we all, if we consider Outlander and The Bronze Horseman, just to name a few – I also read a few in Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander series – SO good!), and sometimes fun to take a break from our usual genre, and explore something completely different (and yet still, 100% romance). In fact, many of the heroes in these books will remind us of our own alpha-favorites. read more

Reader Favorites – Jan’s 10 Books That Stayed With Her…

We have a reader that has just joined us!! YAY Jan!! And she promptly jumped in with some of her very favorite books, now, and from years gone by. From paranormal, to historical, to indie contemporary, this reader is definitely one of us!!! And I already KNOW (and can pinpoint quite a few of us here) that will wholeheartedly agree with her picks. Including me!!!!

Highly Recommended Mafia Romance Books

After our latest BIG HIT mafia read (and a recent reader question about an upcoming mafia book), we’ve been getting a bunch of requests for more mafia-book recommendations. There are a TON out there, but there are some that really stand out in the crowd.

And while I used to refer my friends and fellow readers to my “Top Illicit Bad Boys” list (which is loaded in various types of “bad guys” including mafia men), this genre really has it’s own HUGE following now, and sometimes we’re just in the mood for a wealthy mob-boss, and no other “bad-boy” or even “bad-guy” will do! read more

This is a recent contribution by Dina, on an older list that I posted a few years ago, of the books that have “stayed with me” all of my reading life (and not just this most recent reading-frenzy books that I go crazy over now). These are the ones that “made” me a life-long reader.

You’re gonna see some oldies but goodies on these lists (today… and upcoming!!)

Maryse’s own personal note: Some sure-fire classics on this particular list (OMG the Thorn Birds BLEW MY MIND when I was… what? 7 or 8 years old?? Yes, I was allowed to watch that crazy drama on TV and was HOOKED and don’t even get me started on Flowers in the Attic. Again… another read that I read maybe wayyyyyy tooooooo young and maybe was a bit too much for a young teen, but that I devoured).  read more
