SO  much awesome author and book news today, I just couldn’t help myself. I had to compile all into a comprehensive *squeeeee!!!* list! 😀 From upcoming book releases, to cover reveals, to super-deals, to books that just went live, to authors letting us in on their “works-in-progress”… we have plenty to look forward to and to indulge in, right now!

  • Taylor Jenkins Reid <— COVER REVEAL and I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!! She is one of my latest absolute “100% BEST AUTHOR EVER” favorite authors and she’s just revealed the cover for her upcoming release —> Maybe in Another Life: A Novel. And oh boy does it sound awesome!!!

“In concurrent storylines, Hannah lives out the effects of each decision. Quickly, these parallel universes develop into radically different stories with large-scale consequences for Hannah, as well as the people around her. As the two alternate realities run their course, Maybe in Another Life raises questions about fate and true love: Is anything meant to be? How much in our life is determined by chance? And perhaps, most compellingly: Is there such a thing as a soul mate? Hannah believes there is. And, in both worlds, she believes she’s found him.” eek read more

“You’ll Never Believe…” with Rachel Blaufeld

Welcome to the twenty first installment of “You’ll Never Believe…”

For those that don’t know what these new featurettes will be about, here is the scoop! “You’ll Never Believe…” will feature the weirdest questions or encounters that authors have been asked/had. Might be about their books or random things, like meetings in a bathroom where someone asked what brand of toilet paper they normally use. Fun stuff and inside scoops that an author would not normally share.

Today’s “You’ll Never Believe…” celebrates the release of Rachel Blaufeld’s latest book “Redemption Lane (Crossroads Book 1)“, and she takes us on a VERY personal trip down memory lane! ;) read more

Book Review – The Hurricane by R.J. Prescott

The Hurricane
Enjoyable and sweet, and just a touch of angst. Good for an easier feeling romance read, especially if you’re looking for a bossy-pants alpha-male that becomes absolutely obsessed with that one special girl. ‘Cause you’ve found him!

And yes, it *did* have that feel… reminding me of some of our favorite bad boy fighter books (many of our fellow readers pointing to my absolute favorite book). I can see it…

Vicki: I started this last night, struggled to put it down, I’m really tired this morning and wish I didn’t have to work!! read more

Audiobook Narrators… what happens when a scene affects them emotionally?

By 10 Comments

So… with all of this newfound interest in audiobooks (and realizing that so many here specifically choose audiobooks for so many reasons and how so many of our favs are bargain priced – check out this awesome post: Audiobook Addiction: Our fellow readers weigh in on their favorites…), I started wondering about the audiobook narrators.

Because, they are in fact reading the book TO us, and therefore must experience emotion as a reader would, right? I have a fun interview with a much-loved male narrator right here: Q&A with Emma Chase and her TIED audiobook narrator Sebastian York… but I still had questions. read more

Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – February 24th 2015

Okay it’s complete! Unless of course you find another, and I’ll add it in. 🙂 Oh and…

<— I’m just gonna leave this right… here. 😉 *holds hands up to ears* *giggle* The squeeing!

P.S. I found a few that are pushing my TBR-list buttons like: Thoughtful (Kellan Kyle, that’s why!) String Bridge (this one made a few of our fellow readers hurt…), Haunted Love (this one feels like it needs to be my next one. She’s allowed to come back after being murdered to say goodbye to her loved ones and then falls in love…!!! Whaaaaa?)!! and Prodigal Son (sounds like a psych-thriller – twins, who’s good, who’s bad?), By Any Other Name (both from opposing mafia families, and they fall in love…), Fighting Silence (I LOVE this author, I LOVE fighters, and I love the reviews I’m hearing… some are saying her best one yet!), Ice Steam (I loved this author’s other famous-guy angsty-romance book and this sounds like it’ll give me a run for my money!), VOID (an escort that seems as if she hates life, and can’t feel until one new client…), and quite a few more. This list has some excellent-sounding reads, so I noted a bunch below. read more
