While I gather my wits about me, and piece together my broken heart, so that I can prepare the last two reviews for the Experiment in Terror Series (’cause I miss it. have I mentioned how much I LOVE that series? I’m in mourning… and I need more!!) *sigh* anyway…. I’ve also gathered us an amazing bunch of freebie and bargain e-book finds!! Some new releases, and lots that have recently come highly recommended by our fellow readers over the last week or so. Including a few rock star book finds, too!! YAY ME (and US!!!!!!)
Colleen Hoover – Slammed Series Reading Order
Awesome BREAKING NEWS by Colleen Hoover prompted me to immediately put up this reading order guide!! She is writing a book from Will’s POV (and has posted a long teaser)!! You can click to it below! 🙂
One of my favorite books ever (well, two, actually, because they are both equally amazing reads). I couldn’t believe my LUCK when I read Slammed. Deep personal (and realistic) conflict, an intense romantic connection, a few sticky situations, a profound “family feel”… it had everything for me to consider it the perfect books. While the characters are “new adults” (Lake is eighteen and Will is in his early twenties), I don’t know anyone who read it and didn’t absolutely go crazy for it, because anyone and everyone will connect to these wonderful, heartfelt and very real characters. BTW: Book #1 is on my “Books that Made Me Cry” list. And what a cry it was!!
Book Review – Dead Sky Morning by Karina Halle
Dead Sky Morning (Experiment in Terror #3)
Darkest, most brain scrambling one in the series so far. When I finished it I wondered whether I was ready to move onto the next, or if I needed a bit of “real” time to get my mind back in gear. Yep… it was as good as 1 & 2, but played with my fragile little mind a little roughly, at times. And yet, despite all of the eerie moments, all of the “voices” in my head (I mean her head), it was THE one that lead me right where I wanted to go, or at least, gave the potential “romance” angle a little extra push. 😉
Just Finished Reading Lying Season by Karina Halle & I’m Freaking Out!! The Torture Is Just So Gooood!!
Lying Season (Experiment in Terror BOOK# 4)
OMG!!! O. M. G.!! Help meeeee!! I have just read one of the most awesome books ever (#4 in the Experiment in Terror series – I TOTALLY TOTALLY get it now, why everyone freaked right out…), and I’m on such an emotional angst-y adrenaline rush right now. AND!!! It ended on a freakin’ cliffhanger and book #5 is waiting for me to read it. BUT!! I have to work and then review #3 & #4 before I can move onto #5. I’m literally shaking. How am I going to live until then!?? How? Won’t someone tell me? I feel like haven’t slept in days.
Book Review – Red Fox by Karina Halle
Red Fox (Experiment in Terror #2)
I’m DYING to get back to book #3. Eeeeep!! It’s scary!! But wait… I’m getting ahead of myself again! I promised myself I would be a responsible book blogger and write my review for book #2 (this one – sent to me by the author and boy am I thrilled she did) before getting back to book #3. My reward would be “treating” myself to the 2nd half of book #3 ONLY when I was done, so I better get a move on.
*grumbles* *stupid sense of responsibility taking all of the fun out of my non-stop EIT reading marathon*
