Kathy has some best books of 2022 love for us! This is a different Kathy than the one that regularly sends us her best of lists, so I’m calling this Kathy, “Kathy V” and from our comments sections, I see she has been with us since 2013!!
YAY KATHY V!!!
Kathy: I wasn’t sure if it was 2022 released books, or books we have read in ’22.
Maryse: Just the books you loved in 2022 (old or new). 🙂
P.P.S Have a “best of 2022” list for us? Send it to me here.
And now… Kathy V’s Favorites of 2022
Maestro: A Love Story by Auden Dar <— (and Anna, Lynn & Amy agree):
Kathy: I Loved this. . .
Ana: Hi Maryse, I have just read Maestro by Auden Dar. It must one of my top books of the year. It is long for so worth. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions but do good. Thoroughly recommend x
Lynn: I am so happy to see Maestro by Auden Dar on your list today because I am halfway through it and so far it is one of my best reads this year! It is an epic read full of feels that has broken my heart a few times. I am anxious to see how this masterpiece story of love ends!
Amy: Loved this book!
Jack & Jill Series by Jewel E. Ann <— (side note from Maryse: everyone loves this series in our crew!!)
Pixie: I just read the Jack and Jill series by Jewel E. Ann, I know-where have I been-and I loved all the men from Jude/Jack to Luke, the grumpy Sgt Maj and even his son. Highly recommend.
Michelle S: My absolute favorite Jewel E Ann series ever.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid <— (side note from Maryse: I loved this one, too! Here’s my book review! And so did so many of us!)
Karen: TJR is a gifted writer. She made me love a book with a main character I disliked. Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is my favorite of hers…
Verity by Colleen Hoover <— (side note from Maryse: AGREED! This is one of my FAVORITES ever from Colleen Hoover! Here’s my book review! And so many agree!!)
Michelle: I LOVED IT!!! I’ve been in a book funk since finishing last week!
Nancy: Now you know why I put on my Top Books of 2018!!
Lori: Loved this book!!! So unpredictable. Finished reading in under 24 hrs over a week ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it. Amazing!
Acacia: I loved it
Amy: SO good!!!
Cindy: Just finished it yesterday. Awesome!
The Invisible Husband of Frick Island by Colleen Oakley
Kathy: THE INVISIBLE HUSBAND OF FRICK ISLAND by Colleen Oakley loved this one, a bit of a comedy with a twist.
And a re-read of SICK FUX by Tillie Cole. <— (side note from Maryse: I can no longer find this on Kindle, but it is available in paperback)
Nay: Count me in as another Sick Fux lover! Brought out the vamp lover in me (no the book isn’t PnR–you’ll just have to read it to find out why!) Such a cleverly-written book. Putting aside the subject matter, which, of course, was disturbing, there wasn’t anything about it I didn’t enjoy. I’m really hoping she’ll write books about a couple of the other characters.
Kooloo: THANKFUL for Ms Tillie Cole… for without her I would not have spent all night and into the weeeee hours of the morn’ reading her latest darkest tale of Sick Fux… it was perfect (5 stars from me too)…
Lisa: I just finished Sick Fux… I gobbled it up. It is definitely dark romance…all kinds of crazy. I 5 starred it. It certainly won’t be for everyone…

Thank you Kathy for recommendations. I had seen Maestro out there but it was so long I wasn’t sure. But I took the plunge and wow so glad I did. It was so good and painful at same time. It takes you on a ride for sure.
Great list Kathy V!
Hmm, maybe I should read Maestro: A Love Story by Auden Dar – have been on the fence…need to reconsider. LOL
Loved the Jack & Jill Series by Jewel E. Ann…special! Also loved Verity by Colleen Hoover…couldn’t put it down! 🙂
