Oh Mony is a girl after my own heart!!! She’s asking for both of my favorite book genres in one, and I’m ALL EARS too! š And this is the perfect post and topic for today. Friday the 13th!!! š¬š¬š¬
She asks:
Iām wondering if anyone would have a recommendation for a horror romance book?
Thank you! āŗļø
We already have a “sort-of” list for this (a horror list), but I’m glad Mony asked, because I want to focus this listĀ on 100% having love stories (or romance) weaved in, too.
Any recommendations?
Maryse: I’ll start because HOLY MOLY YES!!!Ā The entire Experiment in Terror series. Itās a slow burn through the series with EXTRA angst, and sheās crushing on him from the first book. But heās got a girlfriendā¦Ā BEST!!! And SO addictive!!!
Kathy: I just read on Karina Halleās Facebook a few weeks ago that the Experiment in Terror books are leaving KU on Nov. 13 so download now if you want to read them on KU. She has also optioned these books for TV! Yeah!
Mony: Wow, a big thank you Maryse! Experiment in Terror sounds fabulousā¦I always love a slow burn seriesā¦I hope itās not too scary cause Iām a wimp.
Maryse: I also have this list (and it was updated last year even!!) And some have romance: Scary & Horror Book Recommendations (some even have romance!)
Maryse: I’d almost say the “You series”, but that’s more psych-thriller than horror. Definitely an element of creep and love (dare I say romance)? No. LOL!

Would Zombie apocalypses fit the horror part of the equation?
Then there is the unfortunately unfinished Flesh series by Kylie Scott.
Or Red Hill by Jamie McGuire.
And for MM readers, Kick at the Darkness series by Keira Andrews.
