Beautiful Oblivion: A Novel (The Maddox Brothers Series)
<— Oh you KNOW I was on the edge of my seat for an entire year for this book. I am a MADDOX-MAN devotee, and I couldn’t wait to indulge in yet another angsty-feisty-firey Maddox alpha male full of romantic passion and jealous rage. I know, I know… doesn’t sound healthy of me to swoon over a guy that is that intense, and all claim-ey-like, but I can’t help it. I LOVE THEM. At least the “book-them”.

Book Review – A Beautiful Wedding by Jamie McGuire
A Beautiful Wedding: A Novella (Beautiful Disaster)
Okay, now… if there is anyone out there that hasn’t read “Beautiful Disaster“(book #1) yet, first: what what whaaaaaaaaaat!!!?? And 2nd: read it ASAP. It’s one of my favorite books in the whole world and (my absolute favorite book-guy in the whole world)! So much so that I have about a million things on this blog about it. But you can start with my pre-review (I already loved it so much, I couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it), and then my main review. 😉 But if you haven’t read it yet, skip this review (below) and don’t start with this book (yet).
Twitter Chat Transcript with authors Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover and Jamie McGuire
For those of you that missed yesterday’s SUPER-CHAT on Twitter with Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover & Jamie McGuire, I’ve carefully backtracked over the ton of tweets and put together a chat “digest”. The questions (in short form – as some of us asked similar questions) and their respective answers (quoted exactly) to help give you a comprehensive “Behind the Books” look into these awesome authors.
In fact, I’m so happy I did this, because the chat was so intense and going by so fast (it even “trended“!! YAY!!!) that I missed a ton of great intel. But I have it all, now! For us to learn from. For us to get to know these authors better. For us to “speculate” and get excited about potential future books. And for us to backtrack in the future and say “Remember when we had that crazy chat…?”
Book Review – Red Hill by Jamie McGuire
Red Hill
<— Fun and so well detailed in it’s viral wrath. I love zombie stories like this! A great start to my Halloween season, and it’s got me excited for more! And what makes it even better, is that… along with the unimaginable horror… is a love story. Or two. Or three. 😉 And I love when my two favorite genres mix!
But!!! Once upon a time, when I used to get my adrenaline spikes through horror (books and movies), zombies were my absolute last choice for potential entertainment. I dunno… to me, they were more of a campy-movie “guy” thing (yes I’m looking at you, husband. I know you love ’em). Wow, reminiscing… I remember when we were first getting to know each other, how ecstatic I was to find a another horror-afficiando. Except… you tricked me. I didn’t know that the ONLY “horror” you liked were b-grade zombie flicks.
Book Review – Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire
Walking Disaster: A Novel (For those new to this series, I recommend reading this one only AFTER reading the first one. And believe me. If you’re into the same books I am, you’re gonna LOVE the first one –> Beautiful Disaster).
<—— *squeeeee!!!* I couldn’t WAIT for this book and after what feels like forever (almost two years for a new reunion with Travis) it’s finally here (and I LOVED it!!). But at first, I wondered… knowing what I know now, having already read Beautiful Disaster, having experienced all of their highs and lows with them, will Travis’s POV have the same effect on me? Or will it just be a sweet “companion” piece where the author simply indulges us with a little more Travis (which, come to think of it… would actually be a great thing, in it’s own right, wouldn’t it)? Hehe. 😉
