BLAST FROM THE PAST + OLDER WOMAN-YOUNGER MAN ALERT!!! Love Plus One (G-Man series Book 2) is on sale today (AND available in KU!!), and to celebrate her sale, Andrea Smith is today’s newsletter sponsor, she’s sent over an excerpt and she’s giving away a few audiobooks to a few lucky commenters here!!
<— This one (and the whole series) is an oldie but much-loved goodie by many in our book-crew!! In fact one of my best book-buds, Kandace, was crazy for these – especially “Slate”. 😀 Just check out these reactions.
Paige: Check out the G-Man Series… Not quite a KA-type book, but I kind of like her alphas better. Diamond Girl, Love Plus One and Night Moves have hot alphas that each are a bit different – as are the situations. Can be read as stand-lone, but I recommend in order….
Linda: I read Diamond Girl when it was first recommended on your wonderful book blog Maryse. LOVED the story and the characters…Slate…yum. So I jumped on Love Plus One as soon as it was released. DID NOT disappoint. Loved it equally. Type of stories and characters that stay with you long after reading. Slate and Taz swooooon worthy;)
Lucylou: Along with “Diamond Girl”, the second book to Andrea Smith’s G-Man series, “Love Plus One… I love that series…. I really enjoyed them, so it was worth it. 🙂
Ashley S: Taz, by Andrea Smith too, Maryse! It is a follow on novel from her series, G-Men, which was amazing!!! I highly recommend every single one! 😉
Jean: …wanted to share this tidbit. I’m reading Walk of Shame by Andrea Smith. H and h are both in college. She’s a server at a bar and he’s a frat brat hockey player. He’s flirting with her relentlessly and then says, “Hey Payton, what to hear a joke about my d*ck…….never mind, it’s too long” And she comes back with, “Want to hear a joke about my pu$$y…..never mind, you won’t get it!” haha… That cracked me up!
*snort* I LOVE all of these reactions to this series. I remember how popular it was back in our early indie days, and holy moly, it’s so fun to spotlight it again!! 😀 If you haven’t heard of these or read them yet, these might just be what you’re looking for!

EXCERPT – LOVE PLUS ONE
When Taz returned to his bedroom, he’d put a pair of sweats on. He threw a bath towel over to me and said he’d run a bath for me and to get my ass in there to soak.
I scooted off the bed, noticing for the first time the smattering of blood on his bed sheets. I quickly looked up at him and he had a half-smirk going.
“Not to worry, Lindsey. I’m pretty sure I have something that takes virgin blood out.”
My cheeks flushed red as I wrapped the towel around me and padded off to the bathroom.
I soaked in the soothing bubbles, feeling extremely fulfilled and contented. I wondered if I looked any different. I was so relaxed I’d nearly dozed off when I heard Taz tap on the door.
“Lindsey, I have your clothes here. Can I bring them in?”
I cocked an eyebrow at the door. Had he not just seen every part of my body naked? Why the sudden concern for my modesty?
“Sure,” I called out, lifting a sponge to start washing my body.
He stepped in and I gave him a smile. He stopped mid-way in and gave me a look.
“What?” I asked, watching his frown.
“You better get that “just-f*cked” smile off of your face before you walk through the door of your house,” he warned.
I hadn’t even thought about home. Oh my God.
“What time is it, Taz?”
“It’s a little after seven.”
“Holy crap,” I said, scrambling to rinse the soap off by splashing tub water on me. I needed to get my ass in gear and head home now.
I got up and grabbed the towel once again, scooting Taz out so that I could dry off and get dressed. Five minutes later, I emerged freshly-bathed and clothed.
Taz handed me a glass of water and dropped two Advil tablets in my hand.
“What’s this?” I asked, puzzled.
“It’s for you, silly. I thought you might be feeling some pain or tenderness, you know, down there.”
It was a sweet gesture. I felt fine, but hell, if it made Taz feel better to think he’d nearly split me in half during my de-flowering, I was down with it.
“Thank you,” I said softly, popping the tablets into my mouth and taking a swig of water, and handing the glass back to him.
It was getting light out. The family was probably up and about. I grabbed my purse and coat from his sofa and turned to leave.
He hauled me back to face him. “So, you’re just going to leave without saying goodbye? Damn girl, did you leave my money on the dresser?”
My eyes shot up to meet his. A crooked smile played on his lips, and I knew he was teasing, being playful with me. He probably thought I felt awkward about last night, but I didn’t. Not at all.
I stood on my tiptoes and put my free hand around his neck. I kissed him softly on his lips. He kissed me back, his hand reaching over to tousle my hair.
“Merry Christmas, Taz.”
“Merry Christmas, baby girl.”
