I am VERY excited about this Valentine’s Day weekend. Why? ‘Cause one of my favorite angsty-love-story authors (Leylah Attar) just put all of her books on super-sale, so anyone that hasn’t read ’em yet? I IMPLORE YOU to do so!!! Perfect weekend to discover her!!! 😀
<— And and!! Another one of my favorite romance authors (he’s a man!!) just released that one up there to the left, and it sounds PURE “Charles Sheehan-Miles” (<— my reviews) and I want to dive in. I mean, come one… her little sister’s school teacher but “Matt has secrets, hidden in the dark three-ring circus of his past…” Ruh roh. This author knows how to bring it! I can already imagine where this one will go.
Couple that, with the fact that Amazon appears to be having a Kindle reader super-sale right now, and it’s just gonna be a great weekend, all around!
So what are you guys doing for Valentines Day? Me? Reading. 😀
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
JUST RELEASED!!!! SURPRISE!!!
- Matt & Zoe by Charles Sheehan-Miles <— ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS ALERT!! He can write super-emotional romance stories. She’s leaving the military to take care of her younger sister and HE’S her sister’s teacher!!! “Matt Paladino is Jasmine’s 3rd grade teacher. Handsome and athletic, Matt’s deeply concerned about Jasmine’s welfare. But Matt has secrets, hidden in the dark three-ring circus of his past…” <— OH YES!!! PLEASE YES!!! LOL!!!! With this author, I can only imagine the angst that’s about to hit me!! 😀
Alpha One Security: Harris by Jasinda Wilder <— JASINDA WILDER ALERT! He’s a mercenary with a security company and he’s been hired to retrieve the tiny daughter of a famous couple but… “The twist? The mercenary and Russian mafioso who snatched the sweet, innocent little girl is a vicious, evil, sadistic thug with a grudge against Nick.” Oh oh.
- Live Without Regret (A Touch of Fate) by K.L. Grayson <— SHE’S AFRAID TO LOVE AGAIN BUT… “then Connor Jackson came into my life. He’s the complete opposite of my ex. From his shaggy hair, scruffy beard, sexy tattoos, all the way down to his Chucks T’s. I want Connor.“

Marked by Rebecca Sherwin <— TWISTED STORY ALERT! It even warns us that we won’t see it coming until it’s too late! Oh I love the sound of that. They find each other… but… “We were two victims. Two loveless souls searching for something to live for. We were monsters. We were evil. We were doomed.”
- Pole Position by Sofia Grey <— BAD BOY RACE CAR DRIVER, A LIBRARIAN & HER BEST GUY FRIEND LOVE TRIANGLE! “…her best friend since childhood, Danny Webster, is only too willing to help. And then she meets Jon. He completes her in a way Danny never could. She doesn’t expect the men to hate each other on sight.”

- Master of the Game (Black Lace) by Portia Da Costa <— BDSM ALERT! “Uninspired by her mundane office job, Joanna Darrell decides to throw herself into a new way of life that revolves around giving and receiving punishment…”
- Unravelled by Alice Raine <— HER FAMOUS ACTOR BOYFRIEND IS IN LOVE WITH HIS CO-STAR ALERT! And she… “finds herself drawn towards an enigmatic stranger only known as Jack, who may be hiding a few secrets of his own…”
- Flawed (Blaze of Glory Book 2) by <— SECRETS!!! Oh this one is intriguing! Okay, so in three weeks he’s going to end his life (years after having lost his fiancée and unborn baby during 9/11) and she’s got a BIG secret “I have a secret, one that tears me apart and threatens to consume me. It was just one night. One stupid, messed-up, drunken night. The consequences will live with me forever.“
- The Spirit Room (Rebel Heart Book 2) by Trina M. Lee <— Tessa found us this one saying: “Spirit Room by Trina M Lee was released. *grins* I had it pre-ordered for a while so yeah! The first one of the series was Crimson Sin, which is free.
“
FIVE-STAR READER RECOMMENDATIONS (and bargain finds!) (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).
The Paper Swan by Leylah Attar <— DARK-READ KIDNAP with such a TWIST ALERT! AND!!! OMG OMG OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK AND THIS AUTHOR AND!!! AND! All of her books are on super-sale for Valentines weekend. *happy wiggle* I MEAN ROCK-BOTTOM pricing of awesomeness!! 😀 (my review) It made a ton of best of 2015 lists, including Amy’s: “The Paper Swan…*sigh* Finished it and loved it. LOVED it. It ended on a different tone from where it started, but for me it worked. I know I keep going on about her writing but something about it just makes it so easy to slip into the story, no adjusting or adapting to it necessary. Kind of like slipping into a warm bubble bath with a glass of wine. Weird analogy? Whatever…it’s the best I’ve got.
“
53 Letters For My Lover by Leylah Attar <— MARRIED WOMAN FALLS IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE ALERT! ANOTHER ONE THAT I LOVED!! Oh the angst and drama, and amazing writing. MUST READ!! Also super-bargain priced for the weekend. GAH!!! Happiness. (my review)
- From His Lips: A 53 Letters Short Story (#1.5) by Leylah Attar <— And this one, too!! 😀
- Act Like It by Lucy Parker <— FAMOUS ACTOR ALERT! Super-bargain priced and bev loved it! “Last year I read Act Like It and it was just the CR fix I needed. … I did like this book. Great chemistry, heroine, banter and flirting. No over the top angst, no ugly crying, no the mc is not a serial killer, or have split personalities. No Mauray needed because she loves too much. I’m not sorry to say.
” And actually… tons here loved it.
- The Wrath and the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh <— This one’s blurb has my attention!! I posted about it yesterday in the last reader question post, and carlotta LOVED it! “Hi Maryse! I read this book a few months ago….is fantastic! I recommend it to everybody!!!”
- Needing Moore Series Boxed Set by Julie Richman <— THE WHOLE SERIES BUNDLED & BARGAIN PRICED!
Compulsive (Liar Duet Book 1) by Lia Fairchild <— TABOO ALERT!!! And my BFF Sherry loved it! Okay… I’m in. Plus, it’s SUPER-BARGAIN priced too. Actually, all of her books are this weekend. 😀 She says: “I couldn’t put it down. Different, but not!. Give it a try! I finished it quick 🙂 going to start number two now” <— Well that’s promising indeed!
- The Taker: Book One of the Taker Trilogy by Alma Katsu <— TEAR-JERKER ALERT! Amy couldn’t remember the title of this book, but she loved it! And bev guessed it right off! Amy said: “Ladies, help me out here…I can’t remember the title of a book I read and it’s driving me nuts. A doctor is on working in the ER when a woman is brought in by the police and is suspected of murder, then she starts telling the doctor about her story. She is immortal, and her story is absolutely tragic and what led up to the “murder” was just heartbreaking. Yep, you guessed it…it had me crying. And now I can’t remember what the title is!“
HOLD (A Gentry Boys Story) by Cora Brent <— GENTRY BOYS ALERT! Fabi loved this recent release: “If any of you read and loved the Gentry Boys as much as I did, the new release, Hold, is fantastic. I highly recommend it.” AND it’s super-bargain priced AND…

- The Captive Prince Trilogy by C. S. Pacat <— M/M ROMANCE LOVERS ALERT!! When our crew was getting antsy over the last one in this trilogy, I posted the series order, and now Katia is bringing it back with her HUGE recommendation! “I highly recommend Captive prince trilogy by C.S.Pacat. This is historical romance with very intriguing plot and so captivating caracters! It is slow burn but very very worth it! Check it out!!!”
- Legend (The REAL series Book 6) by Katy Evans <— BAD-ASS FIGHTER ALERT! Kimberly just finished this recent released it and loved it! “Legend was delish, read it in one day. Katy Evans never disappoints !”
How to Save a Life by Emma Scott <— ANGSTY SORT-OF ABANDONED KIDS THAT FALL IN LOVE & BECOME ADULTS ALERT!! Scoti loved one that I LOVED!!!! She says: “I finished! So very beautiful. I love reading books were puzzle pieces are scattered throughout and at the end all of the pieces fit together. Definitely a 2016 favorite!” (my review)
- Grave Visions: An Alex Craft Novel (Alex Craft Series Book 4) by Kalayna Price <— TRIED & TRUE BY TESSA!!! She says: ” It was awesome and just as great in writing as her last books were.”

Spirit Room by Trina M Lee was released. *grins* I had it pre-ordered for a while so yeah! The first one of the series was Crimson Sin, which is free. 😀
Oooh! Pole Position looks good. And it’s a Kindle Unlimited? *one click*
Oh, and anyone wondering about Kalayna Price’s Grave Visions? It was awesome and just as great in writing as her last books were.
I’m adding ’em right now Tessa. YAY!!! Thank you!! 😀
Charles Sheehan-Miles!!!!! I am freaking out! Just finished the Rachel’s Peril series! So great! He is awesome and I’m so excited about this book! 1-click! Now I need to finish Ricochet quickly so I can start it!
“It even warns us that we won’t see it coming until it’s too late!” <—– OOH! But…but…but…it sounds like it's his POV only. 😕 I don't know if I could get the full impact without her POV as well. *sigh* I know, I know…me and my stupid POV issues.
BUT! I think I hit the jackpot with A Virtual Affair (she loses it all? BAM! MINE!) and also Flawed, which Iooks like it could be read as a standalone. Book turmoil galore! *happy dance* And Compulsive…taboo relationship, and Sherry – who loved Therapy – loved it? Oh heck yeah!
Anyone who hasn’t read a Leylah Attar book…definitely snag those while they are only .99! They really are worth the full price, but for the sale price you should *not* pass them up. They are SO freaking good. 😀
I totally agree Amy regarding the Attar books! Badgering all my friends today to buy them!
Wait, what? ” It even warns us….” Did I miss something? What book? Too lazy to scroll back up.
Thanks Amy…don’t know her books but will grab a couple at that price (and with great recs).
Oh duh. I DO know her books and already have all of them downloaded.
Jean…it’s Marked by Rebecca Sherwin up there. Nice piece of man-back candy on the front, too. 😛 Something about a man’s nice, defined back just gets me all… *fans self*
See, Lisa? It’s a sign that you need to read ’em, like, NOW. 😀
Ya know how we have talked about covers which all start to look the same and how it’s more appealing if they stand out from the rest? Welllllll, look what Calia Read did…
https://caliareadsandwrites.blogspot.com/2016/02/sloan-brothers-cover-reveal.html
THAT is what I’m talkin’ about. 😉
What am I doing for Valentine’s day? Well I am heading to Mexico…TOMORROW!!! Yes I am bringing my Husband with but I am also bringing a Kindle FULL of unread beach reads that I have been hoarding for the last 5 months…I don’t know how much reading I think I can accomplish but…Apparently my kindle thinks 40 books…I am hoping 3 or 4 🙂 I can’t ignore the hubby the whole time…. 😉
YES YOU GUYS!!!
Seriously I love both Leylah Attar and Charles Sheehan-Miles. Both terrific writers, with deep, amazing, stories. :D!!!
Nicole, that sounds like heaven!!!! Be safe and have fun and snuggle lots!! 😉
Thanks Amy! Yes, man back….yum! Love the Calia Reed covers!
Nicole, so jealous! Have a great trip!
Aw Nicole, what a perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart! 😀
Sounds incredible, Nicole! My hubby & I decided to stay in & watch the Walking Dead premiere. Been waiting for MONTHS!
I’m almost done with Fighting Solitude by Aly Martinez. Then… I think I’m gonna read Therapy Ever After, who has Manny??
I’m so excited for this!!! Squeeee!!! New book by my fav author Mariana Zapata!!!! Hoping for all the Kulti feels!!! I would have put this in link form but in came in my email….
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me”
Coming late February 2016
Vanessa Mazur knows she’s doing the right thing. She shouldn’t feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary.
But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she’s beyond shocked.
For two years, the man known as The Wall of Winnipeg couldn’t even find it in him to tell her good morning or congratulate her on her birthday. Now? He’s asking for the unthinkable.
What do you say to the man who is used to getting everything he wants?
Amy, I am always drawn to the unique, different covers too.
Nicole, so jealous. Warm weather vs. more snow here. Have fun & drink some fruity drinks for me!!
The Attar books: Love Love Loved these!! And Charles Sheehan Miles, absolutely brilliant! I was surprised to see he has so many new books added to the Thompson Sisters series, I need to get up to date with Rachel’s Peril series.
Awesome news Niki about the Mariana Zapata coming release!!! Love her books as well!
Just finished Legend….and LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it! Remy and now Mav *swooning*. I mean seriously, you can’t go wrong with a Katy Evans book. Something about those Underground fighters….I’m team Riptide…wait, I’m team Avenger….WAIT! I’m team RipVenger….yeah, I’ll go with that. *wink*
Finished both of my planned reads. Wow Kathryn Perez with the Therapy Ever After feels. 2 of the best lines ever… Way too sort for me, Probably better that way though. I walked around in quite a funk after Therapy.
I’m debating what to read next, it was payday and Tuesday had a hella list…
Going to try and finish Gann tonight. Maybe.
Fabi, I’m just getting back to Morning Star. Only got a few chapters in initially and will start over. I was going to skim Golden Son but it was too good even the second time around and I ended up reading every word. I’m glad I reread though because it’s already better now that I have a fresh memory. How far have you listened to? Good so far?
Just finished King and Tyrant. I just love her writing. She has not let me down yet!! Trying to hold off on reading Lawless as I heard it has a cliffy and the next book is coming out soon.
Amy I love those covers. That’s what makes me stop and check a book out now rather than another hair pulling, shirtless bearded guy.
Mexico sounds amazing Nicole.
Niki thank you for the heads up about new Mariana Zapata book. Im checking that out.
Needing Moore series is good by Julie Richman. Good price for boxed set.
Where is everyone?
Michelle, I’m just starting on Part 2. I think you did the right thing by re-reading Golden Son.
Omg you guys! Ricochet by Keri Lake! Freaking awesome! Couldn’t put it down last night and picked it right back up this morning! Went into it totally blind and boy am I glad I did! Nothing will get done today until I finish this book!
What’s it about Jean?
Jean I’ve been staring at that gorgeous cover in my tbr since the book was first released. It may have to be next as soon as I finish Spider Game. I’m going to try not to squirrel, but Ricochet has called my name every time I’ve opened my Kindle.
Bev, is about a man out for revenge. There are definite triggers for some, rape, sex trafficking, brutal murders, kidnapping……just want to warn you. But it is written so well and sucked me right in! And damn, he is HOT and so broken, which you know I love a man who needs saving!
Fabi, I think you would like it! Since I know you read the Anna series, I know you could handle it!
I’m in ! I actually had it sitting in my carousel already I think I will read it… The weather stinks here this weekend, nothing to do!
Yay Grey! Yep 20 something degrees here! Brrrr…….
Dang it. You’re going to make me squirrel aren’t you? :-/
You know I have to ask…is it his POV only? Because that’s what I’m getting from the blurb.
Ummm fabi, sorry? (Do it!)
Amy, it is multiple POVs but please don’t let that deter you!
His-only POVs deter me but books with multiple POVs don’t sooooooo…I’m in. 😀
AND apparently I skipped over my 2016 read when I started Minnow Bly since it was actually bought in 2015, so YAY ME! I’m still stickin’ to my pattern with Ricochet!
Cool! Hope you guys like it!
I won’t get to start it until tonight or tomorrow since today is a crazy busy day. But I’m excited about it!!! I’ve been wanting to read it and was trying to fit it into my lineup so this is exactly the boost I needed. Thanks Jean. 🙂
Yep I have real life getting in my way today too…..hope to get back to it asap. I did not want to put it down!
Is it too early for a drink? I know, that’s my solution to just about everything but I’m SO upset! The PERFECT house for us just went on the market yesterday with an alcove in the master bedroom that looks out over the golf course and could be set up as a reading corner and a GORGEOUS kitchen and tons of space and beautiful bathrooms and we were supposed to look at it today and make an offer because it’s within our price range, but there have already been 4 offers submitted and the only way we can get it would be to make an offer that is almost 40,000 over the max we wanted to spend PLUS the sellers won’t pay the closing costs so that’s an additional 10,000 not including the buy-down of the interest rate which we planned on doing and having the sellers pay that as well, which they obviously won’t now. I swear I’m going to cry…or throw a tantrum…or both…
*deep breath* Okay, rant over.
awwww Amy, that’s awful. So sorry hun. It’s definitely turned into a seller’s market again. Not to be trite here, but sometimes it’s just not meant to be because the great one is coming up around the corner.
Thanks Fabi. *hug* I’m going to keep telling myself what you said…the great one is coming up around the corner.
The great one is coming up around the corner.
The great one is coming up around the corner.
It is. It is, it is, it IS! 😀
Nikki- thanks for the info about the upcoming Mariana Zapata book. Although I’m not good at waiting. Wish it was out now!!
Amy, so sorry. Been there with house hunting. It’s hard to feel anything but sad and disappointed now, but ultimately you don’t want to hate the house because you over-paid for it and are stressed financially. 😉
Finished Beyond the Stars. It was a cute, slow-burn romance that ultimately felt like a YA read because it got all cutesy and “fade to black.” On a positive note it didn’t make my gut hurt and there was an adorable pot-bellied pig named Leo.
You’re right, Cheryl…and I would feel awful if I ended up hating the house because of the mortgage payment. Hey, on the plus side at least I know *exactly* how I want my kitchen to look when we find a house! 😀
A pot-bellied pig named Leo? I love when authors put unusual and cute little pets in their stories! Like the pet rabbit on a leash in Night Owl and the turtle named Raphael in one of Jennifer Armentrout’s books. And the first time the h saw the turtle, there was a drunk guy setting him down in the hall and telling him to “be free” LOL!!!
Amy, that stinks. Agree that the your home is around the corner.
You and your husband are golfers? Somehow I was not expecting that.
Finished Gann. Wonderful but after all that would of loved a bit more at the end.
Now to clear my head for awhile before the next read.
Fabi, Sevro has Darrow’s ____ now! (15%) So far I have no idea how this will wrap up. Just got to part 2.
The pig was the comic and aww factor. First interaction with the h was her bringing him to the set of a tv show for the H. Amazing she didn’t kill him between her driving(slammed into seatback & floor) and then after wrestling to get him out of the car and he was squealing loudly, yes like a pig, she stuffed him in a reusable grocery bag. Only to show up and have someone on set put a cute harness and leash on him and he walks easily away.
Now I need something with more substance.
And Amy, Fabi’s right Your house is just around the corner.
Michelle, I have no idea. It’s been a slow build up to this point (in a way). I think because I should have done what you did to jog my memory. Plus its a little different reading than listening. You know with all the unusual names and everything. About Sevro, hasn’t he always been the character that we’re never sure if we should love or fear? I think, so far, he continues to be that character.
I’m going to have an hour of uninterrupted listening this afternoon while I get my eyelashes done. I’m looking forward to picking up where I left off because it was kind of a critical part.
Oh and I’m on Chapter 17, 25%
I do not like Sevro so far. I mean I know he has reasons to be like he is but his ego seems inflated. I’m right with ya, on chapter 16. Also Darrow and his brokenness is sad. The moment at the end of chapter 12 made me tear up. Going from GS right into MS really did help and makes me appreciate the slower build because in the continuation of GS, I neede that reading them back to back.
Bev…hubby is a crazy good golfer (imagine a big tattoed hispanic guy hitting a little white ball around *snort* I know, I’m mean :P) but I don’t golf. Not for lack of his trying though. I just love how beautiful and peaceful golf courses are so I would love living right next to one.
Guys! Did you see the update at the top of the page?!? The Sloan brothers are on sale, and y’all know how much I have gushed about the first book!! Don’t read the blurb for the second (but DO one-click it!) or else it will spoil the first one. I still have to read the third so YAY!
That, and Transcendence is on sale…holy moly, if you haven’t read it then you HAVE to click it. Freaking amazing book, that one.
Yay Amy!! Okay I’m posting your mini-love post for The Sloan brothers!
My sister lived beside a golf course. She loved the beauty and not having neighbors behind her, until she got tired of broken windows and not sitting out back. 😉
I’m stuck trying to decide what to read next. I swear the blurb for Bait & Switch changed. Did anyone read it?
Flying golf balls are scary…
I was thinking because you are a runner and have mentioned an intense trainer, so that golf seemed sedate.
Oh good lord…the thought of a random golf ball breaking my windows is not a pleasant one. 😕 And yes, Bev…golf really isn’t my thing. The handful of times we have gone together have ended with me cussing loudly and then getting irritated with my hubby, then he would get irritated with me because I was irritated with him so we just don’t even try it anymore. Maybe someday. *Maybe*.
Woo-hoo Maryse!!! The Sloan brothers are great, and Severine is an h who is a perfect balance of vulnerable yet strong even while she is hurting. And trust me, she hurts. I swear, I have a total book-girl crush on her. Aaaaaand I’m pretty sure I have gushed multiple times on here before about her and the Sloan brothers. 😉
I think I am going with Level Up. But I keep thinking of An Ember in the Ashes and want to read the next book. For some reason that is the book I’m in the mood for but it does not come out for months.
I love this, plus she mentions Eyes of Silver Eyes of Gold. That made me smile. Always a happy/excited feeling when a positive random comment is made on a book you love. And I had to get The Wrath and the Dawn. First Maryse mentions it and now here.
https://bookriot.com/2016/02/09/10-bookish-feelings-need-english-words-asap/
The scary list is up.
*crying and crying some more* Fabi! Morning Star hurts. It really hurts. I still have a lot of book left and…*whispers* I’m scared :/
*giggle* balls… I love when we talk about hitting balls.
I read Bait & Switch… meh, I wasn’t impressed.
I haven’t read anything today. I got talked into doing a collab writing thing with an author buddy of mine, so I’ve been working on that today. But now I’m game.
Grey, thanks for the input about Bait & Switch. Crossing that off my list. Just started reading Future Investment. It’s a little slow starting, but Iike that the H and h are in the medical field and not college aged. Hope it has some substance to it, because the last couple of books have been too much fluff.
Ooohhh Michelle! I’m at 35%. Maybe I should switch to my hardcover edition and read at home. (psst, is it Mustang?)
Jean… crap, I read the wrong Ricochet. Damn it…
Fabi, no I would be ok if it was her since I never really got attached. It’s one of my favorites that I thought for sure would make it to the end *sniffles again*
Oh 35% then you are right at the speech that gave me goosebumps. “And if we fall, others will take our place, because we are the tide. And we are rising.” Loved it all 😀
Started and finished a book last night and now 65% into another. I guess there are perks to those nights you just can’t stay asleep, lol.
“Break the chains.”. That speech was amazing. Yikes, now I’m trying to figure out who. Well, I guess I’ll get there soon enough. You didn’t get attached to Mustang? hmmmm
I probably won’t get a chance to listen to Morning Star again until tomorrow.
In the meantime, I squirreled away from Spider Game and into Ricochet. I’m 30% in. Jean! It’s riveting. Thanks for the nudge that got me to start reading it at last.
Yay Fabi! Glad you are liking it! I got sidetracked yesterday and didn’t get to read! I’m only at 50%! Now, Grey has to go read the right Ricochet!
Started the right one now Jean. Downloaded the playlist on Spotify, can I just say I *love* when authors do that. I totally rock out when I am writing, so if I can listen to what the writer was listening to when they penned a story, it just heightens the feels for me.
Anyway. Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you, here’s to calorie free chocolate and booze and 5 star reads for all of us!
I’m stuck indecision. I feel off my tbr challenge too. :-\
I read two from tbr, instead of three, and then two new to me back to back. I *think* I feel like another YA. To go back tbr I could go with Jackaby.
But Joyride, I’ll Meet you There and The Wrath and The Dawn all look good but are new to me.
I need some milk and cookies while I decide.;-)
And that should be fell. Though I do feel off too, lol.
I’m still reading Heir of Fire, from library. Been busy. But… On that subject, for anyone who has read this series… I hate Rowan right now. He’s either going to be another love interest for her (I hope not. Still a Chaol fan.) or just be a horrible example of my beloved Fae warriors. Ugh. Such an @$$. Please tell me she isn’t hooking up with this guy?
I say nothing about Rowan other than he’s important. I still have my heart set on Prince Dorian.
Nooooooooooooooo *screaming and wailing* Fabi!!! Omigod I can’t believe this! I can’t take much more…
Holy crap Michelle. You’re making me really nervous about listening to this book in public. I’ve held off reading it at home this weekend because I’m still determined to make this last one last. But…*chewing fingernails*
It has taken another horrible turn! I mean seriously I’m inconsolable! Whyyyyyyyyyyy *whimpers*
I wanted to finish tonight but I feel overwhelmed. I do not know if I should keep reading but it has to get better…right…right?
I’m going to start Ricochet…it’s the one by Keri Lake, right Jean?
I didn’t want to pull a Grey and read the wrong one. 😛
Awww Michelle. It sounds brutal. 🙁
Amy, that’s the one.
Well bloodydamn…you are still getting my bill for emotional trauma and the copious amounts of chocolate and tissues I’ve gone through Pierce Brown! *shaking fist*
Oh man, I’m in for it. Thing about Pierce, he has never shied away from brutally pounding his readers into the dirt. Waaay back from the beginning of Red Rising. I thought my heart shattered. I guess you’re done with Morning Star?
I meant to add how much I’ve missed the bloodydamns and gorydamns. Pierce invented new words people are actually using in real life. 🙂
Fabi, it was honestly exhausting. The last half was a lot of action and mayhem. I didn’t love it as much as the others though, gave it 4* still. It was a weird book for me since the high points were amazing but other parts were just meh. Mustang ruins it for me. What a wasted opportunity of a character. And a common complaint it seems for me, but the ending was too fast to wrap up and not neat exactly but ‘neater’ than I wanted. Overall, a must read series though and it has magical moments that make it soooo worth it.
Thanks for all the feedback Michelle. As always I’m astounded at how fast you read. 🙂
