This list is giving me a stomach ache!! But, you know… the good kind. You know the kind that has you bouncing back and forth ’cause you can’t choose and everything on it sounds awesome? And you think to yourself… I’ll just choose the one that I’m most “in the mood for”. Yeah… that’ll work! 😀 Except I’m kind of in the mood for ALL of them. This is one of the blurb-joltier lists of all of ’em. LOL!! I won’t even make a “mini-blurb-jolts” highlights, ’cause for me, they all are.
For example… that one up there to the left (Breaking Him (Love is War Book 1) by R.K. Lilley) is giving many a happy-book-fog freak out session!
Melanie: Stayed up all night finishing this, and OMG OMG OMG! It was feaking awesome!!!! 5+ STARS!!!!! With a cliffhanger that is driving me absolutely crazy! This broke me out of the book rut I’ve been having. WHEN IS BOOK 2 COMING? Please tell me it will be before the end of the year.
Carlotta: Girls I just finished reading Breaking Him by R.K. Lilley…my reaction: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOVE LOVE LOVE ANGST ANGST ANGST, I love Scarlett( the heroine) sooooo much!!! and the story is…I haven’t words!!!! please reading this book!!!
Ela: But but but *lips quivering* Breaking Him has a sequel….so it must have a cliffy????!!!!!!!
Tessa: Finished Breaking Him. Yes, it ended on an incomplete note. Not as bad as T and D. Just, book done, unanswered questions, enjoy. *sighs* Yet I loved it so much. I’m invested big time. My heart aches for her. She’s such a character to adore and he is too, but MAN, my heart aches big time.
Cheryl: Nope. Not. Gonna. Waiting for sequel to Breaking Him. . Every time I tell myself I can deal with a CH and wait- I’m WRONG!!
Tessa: I said I don’t mind a good cliffhanger, as long as it makes sense. This one made sense. I think I know why what happened did, but it still hurt.
Amy: *sigh* I may just give in and read Breaking Him before the next book is out.
Eeeeeeeep!!! I’m excited. But then… there are all of these:
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

Through her fierce love for her son, she has created a life for him in this eleven-by-eleven-foot space. But with Jack’s curiosity building alongside her own desperation, she knows that Room cannot contain either much longer.“
- The Martian: A Novel by Andy Weir <— EVERYONE IS GOING CRAZY FOR THIS MOVIE ALERT and fabi has been recommending this book to us for a long time now. SHE KNOWS!!! The book is skyrocketing up the book charts as we speak, so I thought I’d bring it back as a reminder that our fellow readers have GREAT book taste! Fabi: “The Martian does not have a drop of romance. But I can and will tell you it is freaking fantastic. It is an exciting and suspenseful story of survival against all odds. A story of humanity’s best when we so often read about its worst. If you watched the movie Gravity (or read that book) and liked it, then multiply that by a hundred and you have an idea of The Martian. … this is one book to movie that I HAVE to see. If you haven’t read the book yet, you’re missing out. I know its classified as sci-fi. And it is sci-fi. But its so much more too. It’s a best seller and with good reason.”
If He Had Been with Me by Laura Nowlin <— UGLY CRY ALERT! Amy LOVES this book, and it had Tessa ugly crying!
Amy: Speaking of traumatic teen reads, did you ever read If He Had Been With Me? Oh, my freaking heart. It spans over the four years of high school, but the pacing is absolutely perfect and never felt too fast or too slow. It never dragged, at least not for me because it felt like there was always something interesting going on. I became so wrapped up in the story that I naively convinced myself what was most likely going to happen wouldn’t actually happen. Then BAM…I got my a$$ handed to me. Would you read it if I sent it to you? Come on, you know you wanna…
Tessa: Now for If He Had Been with Me by Laura Nowlin. Amy, this book is going to hurt, huh? Chapter 7 and I can tell I’m going to be ugly crying. Good writing, and it has sucked me in already. (Really short chapters. Again, not fast.
) *shivers in fear of the UGLY CRY*
Amy: You’ll know what’s coming but it’s still as painful (in the way we love
) as if you didn’t know.
Tessa: *steals Manny and hides in her blankie fort* UGLY CRY! That was my gut wrencher! Chapter 86 right? I was sobbing, but then, UGLY CRY. The emotions in that chapter killed me. *Takes wine for later* Little dude will be home soon.
Amy: Oh crap, Tessa…you ugly cried? And you had to do it alone because of a book *I* recommended? *cringes and hands glass of wine to Tessa* Sorry sweetpea. But what are your overall thoughts on it? I swear I get a lump in my throat when I think about it, especially that really short chapter that was…er…at the one-year mark. Know which one I’m talking about? Freaking hauntingly gut twisting.
Amy: Tessa, I had to look it up…it was chapter 47 that was haunting and chilling for me.
But yes, 86 was HEARTBREAKING. As if our hearts weren’t already there. Gah, that book! *sigh*

Uh-oh Maryse…the book that made Tessa ugly cry was If He Had Been With Me. You’ll know what’s coming but it’s still as painful (in the way we love :P) as if you didn’t know. The Pierced series is GREAT and the last book, Perfect, has one of the best sexual tension breakers EVER!! Well, aside from Dex and Perry, that is. 😉
Hi Maryse! Lies Unspoken is currently on sale for 99 cents in anticipation of Love Unspoken which will be released Monday!
Ohhhhhh okay, Amy I’m updating. 😛
OMG Amy it sounds like sheer perfection!!!! THANK YOU!!!
YAY LISA!!! Okay I added it. I’ll look out for your release. 😀
OMG!!!!!!!! Look at all those great pre-orders! Great list by the way!
Re-post:
I’m starting My Masters’ Nightmare Season 1, Ep. 1 “Taken” (My Masters’ Nightmare #1.1) by Marita A. Hansen and I’m a little worried it may be a tad too dark???
Anyone wanna BR????
GUYYYYYYYYYYS!!
I need guidence .. is that how you write that word? It looks funny! Moving on.. I wanna read Alastair .. crap! I always get it wrong AlasDAIR by Ella Fox but ..but .. the world of the mouth says Cliffy!!
*rocks back and forth* I can’t do cliffy’s help!! Anyone read it? How big is the cliffy?
Oh Maryse, it IS sheer perfection. 😀 One of those high school setting books that doesn’t really feel YA because of the “mature” voice of the h.
Lee, I’m with Cheryl on CH’s…I always think I can handle them and then BA-BAM!!! I end up freaking out. Just ask MichelleS how I reacted to the King CH. *snort*
Ok the new releases that are coming it in the next couple weeks had me crazy! I won’t know what to read first!
Pucked was so great! I didn’t know there would be a 2nd book so I’m excited!
I love excitement! 😛
Are you reading anything Maryse? I’m hoping Pure Abandon cause I really want to read your review for that one!
Great list Maryse!! My Kindle is overflowing again this week! SQUEEE!
Don’t forget that Trina M Lee’s Crazy Bitch, book 10 in the Alexa O’Brien series comes out October 30th! I love, love , love this series! It’s paranormal and revolves around Alexa and Arys who are twin flames bound together. Lots of badass action and romance! Mmmmhmmm!!
Maryse… you’re grounded. My husband says so. *shrug*
Betrayal… oh my, a slow start for me, but now I’m at 80% and the only reason I’m not still reading is because my kindle’s battery is dead and my daughter has the charger!
After reading Amy’s Pure Abandon fits… I think I want that to be my next read if anyone has it loanable. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait til next Friday LOL!
Going to make my list now!
Grey, I would be more than happy to loan you Pure Abandon! Send me your email address on Goodreads!
WHAT IN THE HELL AM I READING?????????? AND LIKING?????????? OH MY!
Wow! Thank you so much for giving a shout-out to ‘So I Married a Rockstar’, Maryse! I really felt the same way about the cover when my designer delivered it. *pant pant pant* I hope your fans enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. 🙂
Ela, oooh, you’re peaking my interest!
Jean, thank you!!! Can’t wait to start *hugs*
OH GREY! This is such a dirty dirty dark mess!
Oh no, Ela is screaming again!
No problem Grey! Anytime!
SORRY!!!!!!!!!!! I’m on episode 3 and again WTF am I reading!
Just wanted to let you know that Niña Levine had to push Command’s release date to November 18. I’ve been waiting for this one.
I know that you mentioned Kate Canterbary once before, but book #4 (“The Cornerstone” release date December 9) in the Walsh Series is now up for pre-order. I really, really liked this entire series. I think that there is the perfect amount of “angst” – no ugly cry, but enough to feel for the characters. And of course, there is good sexy fun to be had in these books.
Book #4 is Shannon’s book – she is an over-achiever and he is a Navy Seal and sounds like a love-hate (seriously, read that blurb!) and I really want the book now. Right now the pre-order is bargain basement priced at $0.99.
Also – “Dirty (Dive Bar)”, the first book in Kylie Scott’s spin-off for the Stage Dive series is up for preorder – but we have to wait until April!!!
Betrayal….whoa, finished it. DAMN! Real slow to start, but then quick to end. But as usual, Aleatha Romig reels you in! Im not as gutted as I was during tbe Consequences series, but I feel it coming. Solid 4.5 stars from me. Excited to see what happens next.
So on that happy note, I’m gonna cuddle with pure abandon…thank you jean!
blink blink… BR on Pure Abandon ?
Maryseeeeeeeeee… What are you reading?
I’m in a bit of a fog. So many tbr’s but I can’t pick. Nothing is jumping out at me. Don’t feel like rip your heart out angst but don’t feel like sweet sexy HEA.
Any suggestions??? Just feel like something REALLY satisfying like Hollywood Dirt was for me.
Lisa have you read Undeniably You by Jewel E. Ann? Loved it so much I had to have it print. Highly recommend!!!
Finally Friday and time to read. But *points to self* do not feel good.
Tea, toast, soup. Now who wants to read to me?
Thank you Linda. I’ll check it out. Always a good sign when you have to have a book in its ‘physical form’ 😉
Roped in by L. P Dover is live at .99
Okay another shout out for the Pierced series…not expensive books but the first book Pierced will be free November 14 to 18th. After the last full length book in the series, Perfect, which ties up the series well there is a short novella, Napolean, and a free short on Smashwords, Cat and Moused, and the author is working on a new full length in the series. Read it, it’s grea!
Thanks for this list, as always! You are always expanding my TBR list in the most awesome way!
Also, has anyone else read Wrong by Jana Aston? It was yummy.
Confession time: I am a bit partial to the book, I think, because I had a major crush on my previous OB/GYN. He was so dreamy. So cute and funny and attentive. Everything you want in a man, except for the whole “his face is in vagina all day” thing. He’d still be mine if I hadn’t moved out of state. I mean . . . . not “mine” . . . . just my doctor. Anyway.
This book is about a woman about to graduate college who works at a coffee shop and has a crush on a handsome older man who comes into the shop once a week. Then one day she heads to the local clinic for her first OB exam and some birth control because she’s about to go all the way with her BF, and the hottie coffee shop guy is the Dr.
So, the book is super fun. And super hot. I was totally in lust with the H. My only minor complaint was that it wrapped up so easily. Such minor angst over something that I thought would have been more angst-worthy. But it was really well-written and fun. If you need a break from a heavy read, it’s the perfect book!
I’m sorry you feel yucky, Bev. 🙁 I would offer to read to you but I’m having trouble reading myself ’cause I’m high…er, medicated on Percocet after having some horrid dental work done today. But I’m feeling NO pain right now so woooo-hoooo!!
Hope you feel better soon, lovey. If I was near you I’d make you some chicken noodle soup. Instead… *sneaks shot of whiskey in Bev’s tea*
Lisa, I agree with Linda…Undeniably You sounds just like what you are looking for. You should check out Maryse’s review of it.
*fistbumps Jennifer* Yay! More love for Pierced!! 😀
Amy, thanks but id take this over dental procedures any day. Been putting off my own for forever. *shudder*
Finished Lev earlier today and loved it!! Lev is so perfect!! Love him so much. And Mina is amazing. Can’t wait to read the next books in the series.
I am reading The Aubrey Rules by Aven Ellis and loving it! Its funny and so sweet. Bennett is swoon worthy.
Allison I agree. Wrong was lovely. The H was a hottie and kind of reminded me of Grey in all his ‘I cant keep you- I don’t do love- but I cant leave you alone’ glory.
Pure abandon…giving me the angsty twisty pretzel tummy, 43 percent in… *covers my eyes*
Pretzel-tummy. That should be a new genre!!! 🙂
Finished Pure Abandon… I’m real torn on this one. It was headed toward a solid 5 until like the last 20 percent of the book, then I felt it was too rushed and almost like it completely switched tracks. Thank you again to Jean for the loan…
I’m also in the not feeling well camp this weekend, so I plan to do nothing but read.
What’s next??
Just finished Wrong and Lev over the past few days!!! I’ll just say both were great!! Swoon worthy H”s all around!!!!! Now grocery shopping, some Fall cleaning aka windows and curtains. Yuck. What to read next?? No idea what to settle on!! Want to read Pure Abandon but it’s a cliff right???!! Nope nope not going there!! Xoxo
Is it October 27h yet? I cannot wait for Original Sinner #8. What an amazing series. Nora, Soren, and Kingsley: some of the most complex characters ever.
I loved the Martian. I haven’t seen the movie. I can’t picture how it could possibly be as good as the book. How could they capture all his inner thoughts and feelings?
I have had hardly any time to read or check in. What have I missed? Anything great get past me?
Lev, Wrong, The Bad Boy’s Dance, and Dirty English (stand outs from my past week’s reading addiction!). Don’t recall seeing The Bad Boy’s Dance listed anywhere …YA, with a Alpha in the making. (Swoon…love those alphas).
Anyone have any recommendations for a great Alpha, HEA, no cliffhanger read (where hopefully the couple gets together sooner than later even though they may experience issues along the way)? Dirty English was good however, I felt like by the time they got together the book was over. :0(
Went with Lev… I am loving it!!!
Grey, I was happy AND heartbroken at the end of Pure Abandon. I’m dying to find out about you know who! Loved him!
Linda, not really a clifty but you definitely want more!
Linda, Pure Abandon does not end on a cliffhanger. Good book, not as angsty as Arsen.
I’m reading Love to Hate You. I loved book #1 (Hate to Love You), it had my tummy in knots from all the angst. This book is good too, I’m just getting a little tired of Arianna running whenever things get tough. It also has been somewhat formulaic. Couldn’t put book 1 down, somewhat easier with book 2.
There is a group read of Red Rising starting Oct 26th on Goodreads, in preparation for the release of Morning Star. If you haven’t read Red Rising yet, there’s your chance at a group read.

It’s just…so, so good.
Lev by Belle Aurora… **5 stars*** Been a while since I’ve handed out a 5 star review. But this book is totally deserving. Angst, but not the typical run of the mill kind. Sweet… (“I want to be your penguin…” Awwww! *cue hearts floating above my head with stars in my eyes*) with a hint of spice, and some absolutely hilarious bits.
I don’t believe I’ve read this author before, but I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another from her! And I am seriously hoping she continues this series with other characters that were introduced. Read it, you’ll love it!
I’m reading “Wrong”. I like it but it’s got a similar theme going on… we’ll see if I change my mind and love it.
Hey Maryse. Just wanted to let you know that Corinne Michaels new release “Defenseless” is coming out 1/19/16. It is the 5th book in the Salvation Series. The first four were soooooo good. They were Beloved, Beholden, Consolation, and Conviction. Just thought I would let you know. Thanks again for another great list!
Just finished Lev and that was definitely a 5 SQUEEE worthy star read! My heart melted for Lev and Mina throughout that whole darn book. Lev told Mina he makes great kids and if she wants he’ll make some with her. OMG…..melt. Also he wants to be her penguin, I was a puddle of goo! You MUST read this book!
Just looked up a book that was mentioned and…….what is with so many main characters having a terminal illness???
I don’t get it. Its like the new YA/NA thing to do.
Not to say that they can’t have deaths in them. I read two YA books this year with side characters dying. And they were really good reads. But it just seems like a proliferation of it.
I’m with ya on that Bev. I hate doing too much research on a book before reading it so that new trend is getting to me. I don’t realize it until I’m reading it. Ugh.
Fabi, Its hard because if in blurb they mention what is their secret I’m not thinking cancer, you know? And I am not totally knocking it like I said read two this year with side characters, well one was already gone. And I really really liked the books. Just if thinking romance do not want one of the MC to die.
Almost done with my re read of Heaven, Texas. Next I feel like a fally type book, but not sure what that would be, lol.
Fally type book bev? Yeah what is that? Lol! Let me know when you find it. I love fall!
Read a sweet little book today. Art & Soul by Brittany Cherry.
Now I’m starting Lev. With all the hype, I couldn’t resist!
Lol, Jean. I do not know.
Maybe small town and fall setting?
Or YA because school starts in the fall?
Lots of hot drinks being drunk?
Cinnamon and pumpkin spice?
Has the smell of burning leaves?
I have no idea. But fall type book is what I want. There are Christmas stories and beach reads so I need a fall read.
Sounds good bev. Art & Soul was definitely YA with lots of adult issues. It made me cry….a lot.
Too soon after Jelicoe Road. A great YA, but made me cry. Definitely one of my favorites this year thouIgh.
I want something cozy to cozy up with.
Maybe should go watch Gillmore Girls it is perpetually fall on that show, lol.
Yeah. So I just read another book. I have accomplished nothing but books today, its been fabulous. But Bev & Fabi…It just happened to me too. I was totally not expecting a cancer diagnosis in this book. (Insert big frowny face) on that note, I’m thinking I’m going dark… Or really smutty (decisions, decisions)
Top contenders for the moment are The Opportunist, or Bait…
Grey, my vote is for dark AND smutty. 😉
Bev, I don’t know how good it is, especially with the lack of reviews, but https://www.amazon.com/Autumn-Leaves-Chick-lit-Samantha-Bond-ebook/dp/B00UVA0LG2/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1445127571&sr=8-8&keywords=autumn+Romance It’s autumn themed?
Oh my Tessa I can not believe you found an autumn themed book. With a theme of “leaving”. Lol.
Two favorite lists up.
Bev…you know, Bright Side has a coffee shop that plays a pretty big part in the story, and she loves coffee. 😉
Jean…Art and Soul made you cry?? Oooooh, I have that one!!
Thank you Katherine!! I’ll create a reading order for that series. 😀
*snuggles bev*
*sprays lysol*
How are you feeling today, bev? Any better?
Grey, from what I remember Bait was pretty good but The Opportunist was CRAZY angsty!! So my vote is for The Opportunist. 😉
Amy when I laugh I cough. Bright Side??!?? Lol. *cough*
Just the common cold, Maryse. 🙂 But that means very germy so spray that lysol.
The ladies talking about “If He Had Been With Me” have me intrigued.
Omg you guys….Lev…..unputdownable! I don’t want it to end, I don’t want it to end, I don’t want it to end! Loving every single thing about it!
I agree about Lev. Loved it! Now I want to read about Sasha next 🙂
Finished The Aubrey Rules and it was so sweet and funny, just what I was looking for. Don’t know what to read next.
Lev was so good!!! So funny and sweet!! Love Belle Aurora!!!
Reading Pucked now and it’s funny and hot… the word vomit that comes out of their mouths is awkward but hilarious 😉
Bev- The Bad Boy’s Dance (Vera Calloway)
great YA book…Starts off with back to school Senior year, no terminal illnesses and a bad boy who falls for a good girl….
***sigh***
Throw in a little drama (crazy ex) and enough angsty moments to round it out. Definitely an Asher and Ivy fan!
Thanks, Donya. I will look it up. I love the bad boy/good girl trope, especially in YA.
Finished the Love/Hate series. I LOVED it and can’t wait for the novella in December. Serious gut-twisting angst and some crazy mixed in. Book 2 started a little slow for me and I was getting tired of Arianna’s B*tchin and running, but it got so much better. Hated for it to end. Highly recommend!!
Now I don’t know what to read next. Think I’ll go for a run and try to figure it out. All the rec’s for Lev, maybe that’s next or maybe The Aubrey Rules…
I’m finally able to get back to Pure Abandon (Percocet is great but doesn’t allow for too much concentration ;)) and I swear my womb just exploded. That man…mmmh-mmmh-mmmmmh.
Cheryl, that sounds PERFECT!! And I’m so jealous that you get to go running. *pouts* I have a stress fracture in my right tibia so no impact-type exercises for me…no jogging, running, box jumps, nothin’. *sigh* Run for both of us, m’kay?
What is everyone reading?
Haven’t picked anything yet.
Hey Bev, I found another Fall-themed book for you…Autumn Thorns by Yasmine Galenorn. Unfortunately it doesn’t come out until the 27th but it looks like it’s about spirits or ghosts.
Also, speaking of bad boy-good girl in high school…have you ever read the Crash series by Nicole Williams? Crazy good YA book set in high school with a VERY bad boy and a very good girl, and I loved it! The first book wraps up pretty well so you don’t *have* to read the second and third books, but they are great if you are left needing more after the first book. I also loved her Eden PNR trilogy, by the way. 😉
Amy, I have read them. Well the fist two. The third turned into more of a skim. But, yes, really enjoyed the first one.
Another fall book. I think she is UF/Pnr but haven’t read her.
Tessa or the Michelles have you ladies?
I tried. I’ve only read Witchling, but that’s her first book, so maybe she improved as she wrote. It was too bogged down for me. Then again, erm, writing you want to ask others. I get picky. 🙂 I was looking for Changeling to see if she’s improved, but my library doesn’t have that one.
FYI, Reap the Wind by Karen Chance was awesome. Not as much humor, but it was still really good and a lot of action.
Breaking Love (Broken Love Book 4) by BB King is up for pre-order, out on November 24!
Hey guys, Tijan has a new book out today called Kian!!!! Only .99 I think I’m going to read that next!!!
MINE! *one clicks*
Tessa Im not even looking that up. I just want to sit here and imagine BB King wrote romance.
I can not believe how many unread and part read books I have. Its sad.
ROFL I can’t even blame auto-correct for that one. Reid. BB Reid. Music must have been on my mind. What type of romance do you imagine BB King writing?
Not sure but I feel like he’d play it out on lucille first
Maybe Fear Me should be my next read. Been putting it off cause afraid it make me ranty. 😛
Oh, that’s actually sweet.
It’s dark, I won’t lie. I adored it, of course. 🙂 All it’s dark, twisted moments. Definitely ranty moments.
Aww Amy, that’s no fun. I hated when I broke a rib this summer and couldn’t run or really do much else. Ok, I’ll run extra hard for you and do your sprint routine!! 😉
Anne, thanks for recommending The Aubrey Rules, I’m really liking it. It’s a sweet, light-hearted read.
Wait, wait, wait. *scrolls up* You fractured your shin? *winces* So sorry to read that. That has to hurt a bunch.
Cheryl so happy you are enjoying The Aubrey Rules 🙂 I really like Aven Ellis´s books.
Oh no Amy!! I sorry to read that!
Reading the opportunist…
Not far in……but not sure what I think of them yet. Not positive things, lol.
Which book?
Fear Me.
He just made a threat against her aunt. A part of me wishes that the next twist is she goes finds another sociopath for a mentor and then comes back all early Anita Blake on his a$$.
Guessing that doesn’t happen?
Grey you’re going to love it. Great series. Think Dirty Red was my fave.
Amy so sorry to hear about your injury. 🙁
I kind of want this. How comfortable does it look? Though very pink. *sigh*
But I do not have a home with spaces like this.
https://www.houzz.com/photos/2395781/Fresh-Modern-Colonial-traditional-hall-dc-metro
Sorry, Bev. I did say it was dark, so no Anita Blake moment.
Tessa, I swear if the next scene is her getting all hot & bothered by him after what he “made” * rolls eyes* her do to Willow, Lake is going on my worst heroines list. Seriously???
ROFL
I don’t even remember when the hot and bothered came in. That little nook is absolutely cute. I’d want different colors as that pink would become brown so fast, but still seriously cute.
Grey??? The Opportunist??? Just now???? I’m not sure if I should be shocked or jealous????
And I totally agree about Pure Abandon! I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Bev…would make sense why I gave it 3 – 3.5 stars….still have to read sequels…
Aw, you guys are so sweet! Actually, a stress fracture isn’t as bad as it sounds. It’s more like a hairline crack, and I managed to get it by ignoring a shin splint. So, lesson of the day…don’t ignore a shin splint. 😉 My trainer is not pleased with me for not saying anything earlier. *snicker*
I finished Pure Abandon and… *bites lip* It had a couple of HOT moments and made me pretty anxious at some points, but the minor to moderate irritations I had were numerous enough to make it a 3 star for me. 😕
Okay, I’m going to say this and then duck from the flying peanuts because I know how much some of you LOVED it…either the many similarities to Arsen are a coincidence or it is a poor attempt at being an Arsen knock-off. I know, I KNOW! That’s harsh, but if there’s anywhere I can be honest it’s here, right? Right?!?
*gasp* Amy!!! Anything to do with shins makes me cringe. DAMN that bone hurts!!!!!
Carrie, you should give it a shot! It’s perfect for when you want a sledgehammer-to-the-chest kind of read. Which I often do. 😉
OMG Bev, I want that chair!!!! It is quite pink, but that could be offset with a nice chenille throw and some cute pillows. *sigh* I’m going to have that on my brain all day now…
Trying to decide between The Murmurings and The Bargaining ’cause I’m in the mood for SPOOKY today!
Amy what about “The Girl With All The Gifts”? I wanna…
I DO love that pink chair too. Amy needs it to rest. Okay so now it’s officially in our “blankie fort”. 😀
*settles Amy in the chair, hands her Manny and a pink martini! This one: https://www.bylynny.com/drinks/think-pink-martini/
Ewwww Amy really? A knock off? But didn’t your love Alex? I certainly did! Can’t wait for the next book. Oh and sorry about your injury….love ya!
So while I’m waiting for The Rocker #11 to be released, I wanted something short. I went with Forbidden by Charlotte Stein (thanks for the reminder from your list Betty) and it sucked me right in!
*high fives Amy* Totally right??? NOTHING BEATS ARSEN SO FAR AND I MEAN N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
I WANT THAT CHAIR TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am sooooooooooooooo enjoying My Master’s Nightmare serials!!!!!
Oh no you didn’t Ela! I mean I totally agree Arsen was better but this one comes pretty close! Right? Right? Please don’t burst my bubble! Lol!
HI Jean! *waiving like crazy* Sure it came close…. *snickers* I don’t want to burst your bubble, it’s just a matter of a difference of opinion… *blows kisses*
I know, I’m sorry Jean!! *hides nitpicky needle from Jean’s happy bubble*
I would have liked more development of the relationship between Alex and Kat…I felt like she went from “he’s a jerk face pig and I hate him” to suddenly being all “he’s my best friend and I feel like I’ve known him my whole life!” *scratches head* Did I miss something?
But that Christmas card at the end…that was just wrong. SO wrong. 😕
Kind of like how I adored Ryan in Love Unscripted and you were like, “meh. ” 😉 *cheek smooches Jean*
Ok Ela….that’s right, we all have an opinion and none are wrong! Did you read Lev? Read it in less than 24 hours and loved it!
Amy, I get that and yes that Christmas card was bullshit! Pissed me off!
On a happier note, the book Untamed I won was delivered today! Holy crap am I excited! I haven’t even held a book in my hands in years and IT’S SO PRETTY!!!!!! Lol!
I’m dying to know how Untamed is, too!!! 😀 Griffin is so obnoxious!! Love that!
Jean, have fun with Griffin and the Hulk!!! 😛
LOVED LEV!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVING MY MASTER’S NIGHTMARE…..yep I’m pimping cause I didn’t expect to love it as much as I am!
Oh! YAY!!!!! You got Untamed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please report back or better yet check in periodically with updates??????
Yep Amy exactly like that! Haha!
Good we’re all so understanding *kisses*
*smears herself in all the hugs and kisses flying around* :P!!!
*hugs and kisses* What would I do without you guys?
That little nook is so perfect! I love the chair. It looks ver comfy 🙂
Jean, don’t you love getting an actual book in the mail? But what book is it?
So, is there going to be a scary buddy read?
Jean I loved Pure Abandon so boooooo Amy and Ela 😉 I actually liked how her emotions were all over…the abrupt realization that she had progressed to those new feelings felt real to me. It was different than how some other books are written that she had to ‘do’ in order to figure out the ‘feel’ part of the equation. I can relate to that myself…not the whole cheating part…maybe if I met someone like Alex…I mean no, NO…lalala, going to read Lev.
Dangit Michelle! You corrected yourself and ruined my fun!!! So boooo YOU!! 😛
See why I love this place (and why I know others do as well) so much? We can say whether or not we liked or loved a book, even if it’s not the same opinion as others…and then we can even poke fun at each other over it!
Hugs and smooches all around, my lovely friends! 😀
Maryse! Yes to The Girl With All the Gifts! When are we starting it? I’m in between books right now so it’s perfect timing for me…
*squeals and claps hands* I’m getting pampered!! Comfy pink chair, punk martini (freaking yum!), Manny and my friends all in the blankie fort with me…sounds like heaven. 😀 Oooooh, let’s do pink manis and pedis as well to go with the pink martinis for BCA month! And Manny gets a big pink bow! *snort* Yep, I’m hyper right now…venti caramel macchiato with two extra shots. 😉
Oh for the love of…that should have been PINK martini, not punk.
Bev, it is great! The book is Untamed by S.C. Stephens from the Thoughtless series.
Thanks Michelle! At least someone is on my side! Lol!
Whatevs ladies…..*taking sip of Amy’s martini* YUM
