Happy Friday my friends!! The latest Friday Finds list is ready to keep you entertained all weekend long (and I’ll add more as I find ’em).
Right now, I’m finishing Imposter: A Gripping Thriller by K. Larsen that’s going live in just a few days. She was kidnapped, but is back now, years later. It’s sort of a psych-thriller, but for now a total mystery with a hint of something ominous lurking. I dunno yet, but knowing this author, I have a feeling I will have the rug pulled out from under me, and I can’t WAIT for that reveal. Whatever it may be… 😉
And while I’m at it, the next one up for me is An Exaltation of Larks by Suanne Laqueur <— ABSOLUTELY STARTING THIS ASAP!!! I LOVE this author too (remember how much I loved “The Fish Tales” series?), and this book (a standalone) is coming out in just a few days. I’m hearing this is her best one yet!!! YAY ME!!!! Seriously. I can’t contain how excited I am to start it!!! I’ll keep you updated… 😉
Jean: MARYSE! YOU WILL LOVE IT! LOVE IT! DON’T SQUIRREL! I’M SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO READ IT! (Yes, I’m screaming)! …..SIMPLY AMAZING!
OKAY ALSO!!!! ➔ NOW THIS is a Friday Find indeed! AMAZON PRIME MEMBERSHIPS are on sale today only! I have a membership and I use it DAILY. Whether it be to listen to Prime music, or watch movies or shows, or the free 2-day shipping, or now the “Prime Kindle First” books that I LOVE (every month, we get to choose one from 6 new books not yet released, to download and keep and read early)!! I tend to always choose a psych-thriller out of these monthly lists, and I’ve had great luck!!!
Now… take a look at what we found! (NOTE: some are bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order. Sales listed are for Amazon U.S., however some of the Amazon UK links also reflect the sale!):
- Hold My Breath by Ginger Scott <— LIVE!! GINGER SCOTT’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! Two brothers (Olympic swimmers?) and the girl that loves them. One brother always letting his other brother (her man) shine but… “…My life with Evan burned bright. He gave me arms to come home to, and a smile that fooled the world into believing everything was perfect. But it was Will who pushed me. Will…who really knew me. And when all of the pieces fell, it was Will who started to pick them up.” This one sounds SO GOOD!!!! And I LOVED another one of this author’s other books (Bully book and SO well told). Here’s my review of Wild Reckless.
- Wild Reckless (Harper Boys Book 1) by Ginger Scott <— BULLY BOOK THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This one is a standalone and just AWESOME. Must be read, and since Ginger Scott is kicking off the list today, I couldn’t help but post this one, too! :D!!!
- Dollars (Dollar Book 2) by Pepper Winters <— LIVE!! PEPPER WINTERS DARK READ ALERT!! “Pimlico was stolen and sold all before her twenty-first birthday. Two years with a diabolical monster is over. She has a new master now…” (P.S. Book #1 – Pennies (Dollar Book 1) – is super-bargain priced right now!!)
- To Have and to Hold: (Intermix) (A Wyckerley Triology Book 2) by Patricia Gaffney <— CUTTING EDGE DARK HISTORICAL ROMANCE ALERT!! Recommended by one of my favorite authors (in case you missed this awesome post, Skye Warren recommends her favorites here) and it’s got a great price. And after these comments about this book, I HAVE TO READ IT. I’m craving to find out what the deal is!! She says:
Skye: The absolute best dark romance. Ever. Written. Yes, I just said that!! And it’s a historical romance that was traditionally published, but damn. Completely cutting edge with brilliant writing and a breathtaking interplay. It captivated me from the first moment the heroine stepped onto the page—I simultaneously hated the hero and knew he was the only one worthy of her.
Jan: Thank you for sharing your favs, Skye. The Patricia Gaffney is catching my eye. I love a good HR. I had a look at some reviews of it on Good Reads, and one person labelled it a ‘marmite’ book – you either love it or hate it. I’m officially intrigued and I’m going to see whether I can hunt down a copy.
Skye: To Have and To Hold is definitely a love-it-or-hate-it book! I was just jaw-dropping in awe of it the whole time I was reading. I’m not sure I could re-read it, though? Maybe someday. It’s intense!
Jeannie: one I love is To Have and to Hold by Patricia Gaffney. Not politically correct, one of the reasons I love it. …An historical, but so many heartbreaking scenes. It’s not prettied up for light reading.
- Absolute Doubt (Fallen Agents of T-FLAC Book 1) by Cherry Adair <— LIVE!!! HE’S UNDERCOVER & SHE’S LOOKING FOR HER BROTHER... “…When millions of dollars are inexplicably wired to her account she knows he’s trouble. Traveling to the small mining town… she accepts the hospitality of her brother’s employer and searches for clues as to Oliver whereabouts. If only she wasn’t overcome with inappropriate lust for one of the other houseguests- a gorgeous bishop with a warrior’s body and laser-sharp eyes that hint at deep, dark secrets…”
- Managed (VIP Book 2) by Kristen Callahan <— TOUTED AS HER BEST ONE YET!! Back on the list ’cause Alabama-Amy LOVED it!
Alabama-Amy: Ok y’all…. Managed was FANTASTIC! In my opinion it is by far Kristen Callihan’s best book. I almost didn’t buy it because I liked Idol but wouldn’t say I loved it because I struggled with the heroine. In Managed both main characters are wonderful. So different but they WORK SO WELL together. There’s tons of LOL moments and “did she really just say that moments?”
Sophie is so hilarious and genuine. I was expecting Gabriel to be unlikeable since he seemed so cold and aloof in Idol. Not at all. I loved him so much. He’s very stoic and steady but he’s got depth that’s very obvious from the start. And once he lets loose, he really lets loose, committed 100%.
There was just enough angst to keep the story from being flat and give some emotional depth without feeling “produced for effect” angst which is game over for me. I’m racking my brain but I can’t come up with a book I smiled more while reading this year. This might be my favorite so far in 2016!”
- Lucifer (Vampires in America: The Vampire Wars Book 11) by D. B. Reynolds <— LIVE!!! OR SHOULD I SAY… UNDEAD!! *snort* A VAMPIRE IN MONTREAL ALERT!! Hey I come from there!! I love my beautiful city. We have vampires in Montreal??!!! *gasp*
- Triple Trouble (Found in Oblivion Book 2) by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott <— LIVE!! STEAMY TRIO ALERT!!
- The Presence of Grace (Love and Loss Book 2) by Anie Michaels <— LIVE!! WIDOWED AND A SINGLE FATHER & THEN HE MEETS HER… “He’d fought before; fought for his family, for his love, and for his life. But her fight, although buried deep and festering within, was a fight he wasn’t sure he had the strength to overcome.” This CAN BE READ as a standalone, but it’s book #2 after this one, The Absence of Olivia (Love and Loss Book 1). P.S. The first book is bargain priced right now! 😀
- Twined Bond (Holly Woods Files, #7) by Emma Hart <— LIVE!!! This one cannot be read as a standalone…
- Tristan’s Temptation (Wired Series Book 2) by Sabrina York <— LIVE!!! OFFICE ROMANCE ALERT!!! She’s his executive assistant, and she realizes he fantasizes about her… “…When Shannon discovers the depth of Tristan’s desire, she vows to seduce him in real life, his rule be damned. After a blazing, illicit tryst in Tristan’s office, he insists they can never do it again. So Shannon, ever the obedient assistant, makes certain the next time she seduces him, they do something completely different…“
- Things Liars Say: a Novella (#ThreeLittleLies Book 1) by Sara Ney <— SARA NEY ALERT!!! SHE LIES ABOUT DATING A RUGBY PLAYER and he shows up at her door to confront her… P.S. He thinks she’s a GUY, at first. Tee hee!!!! Remember how I went crazy for her book “How to Date a Douchebag” a few days ago? Well, it looks like she has a few other series, and THIS is one of ’em. All three books are super-bargain priced right now, and each one can be read as a standalone. *squee*! This one sounds like SO. MUCH. FUN. “Greyson Keller didn’t intend to lie; it just came out that way. So when the object of that lie shows up on her doorstep, she is confused, shocked, and embarrassed…“
- Things Liars Hide: a Novella (#ThreeLittleLies Book 2) by Sara Ney <— SARA NEY ALERT!!! Super-bargain priced right now, and each one can be read as a standalone.
- Things Liars Fake: a Novella (a #ThreeLittleLies novella Book 3) by Sara Ney <— SARA NEY ALERT!!! Super-bargain priced right now, and each one can be read as a standalone.
- The Delphi Effect (The Delphi Trilogy Book 1) by Rysa Walker <— YA SCI-FI ALERT!! Tasha HIGHLY recommends this one!
Ok, I’m reporting back now that I’ve read The Delphi Effect by Rysa Walker. So Amazon Kindle says it’s *.** but the author said on her fb page the next couple days it’s on sale for *.** if you put the code DELPHIEFFECT in at checkout. And I loved it!!
So I was a little wrong going in thinking it was paranormal, it’s YA but more science fiction fantasy. And SOO good you guys. It was a little reminicient of like The Darkest Minds and a few others that I can’t put my finger on, maybe a little Mara Dyer since I’ve read that more recently, but definitely is its own book. It is the start of a series but doesn’t end in a huge cliffy though I already want book 2.
I really liked her writing, she took the time to make you really invested in all of the characters, there’s a lot of adventure, with just a hint of a beginning romance. Grab this book!!
- The Awakened (The Awakened Duology Book 1) by Sara Elizabeth Santana <— YA POST APOCALYPTIC ZOMBIE STORY!! And this one is bargain priced today… “…the victims disappear and suddenly reappear, awakened from their dead state. They’re faster, smarter, and they work together to get the one thing they crave, human flesh. The United States is in a panic and then the government decides the unthinkable: to bomb every major city overrun with the awakened…“
- See Through Heart by Amie Knight <— SOUNDS HEARTWRENCHING ALERT!!! “She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me. Until she dealt me the greatest blow. Now, abandonment, betrayal, and death darken every corner of my life.” <— *oooomph*!!! That blurb HAS me, and Miranda found it for us!
Miranda: See Through Heart by Amie Knight came out 2 weeks ago and it is so amazing. A touching second chance romance.
- AUDIOBOOK LVERS ➜ For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>
- AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle ebooks are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. !!! VERY COOL!

I LOVED See Through Heart soooo much!! It was Heart achingly emotional and such a beautiful read!!!
See Through Heart by Amie Knight was AMAZING!! Such a phenomenal book!
Hold My Breath sounds like an easy one-click choice. Exaltation of Larks and See Through Heart make me think twice, especially STH which sounds like a gut-wrencher. I do love the cover of STH. May have to let others guinea pig those two first. 😉
Yes… See Through Heart has me curious for sure…
Your funny book descriptions always make me smile, Maryse. I love your description of Lucifer (above). And the cutest little scared-eyes emoticon.
LOL!!! Lucifer was too fun.,, I couldn’t resist. 😉
I always find it fun to try and summarize a blurb in one silly or exciting line. It’s a challenge. 😉
I just realized how quiet it is on here and now I’m wondering if my subscribing didn’t go through!
Maryse! Did you start Larks yet?? And what about Imposter?
I’m reading God-Shaped Hole and I’ve been in the fetal position for 2 days…and nothing’s happened yet. I’m just scared!
I feel the same way R. Except the bad things have already started in my read. I just realized I read a whole section hunched over, tense, and clutching a handful of my hair. I didn’t realize until the scene was done and I relaxed.
Finishing Imposter now!
I think quietness = NANO writers, and Amy working too hard.
LOL!!!!! 😛
Larks starts tomorrow morning for me!! 😀 I can’t wait and I’m scared!!! Delightfully emotionally scared!!!
And still I haven’t started my God Shaped Hole… also. Scared.
I saw today the Jack and Jill bundle by Ann Jewel is on sale too. I really enjoyed he series. It was different. I’m waiting patiently for the Lark book release. I’m going to give To Have and To Hold a go first. The Goodreads ratings have me excited and worried. Some loved and some hated it.
God-Shaped Hole is so good so far, Maryse!! And I cannot wait for you to read Larks!! Jean gave it 10+ stars! And there is something wrong with my subscription! I’m not getting any emails! I’ve been banned!!!
bev I saw you were reading something more suited for me on GR! What is it?
Hrmmm… is everyone not getting then email notifications when someone comments?
I know we’re in the process of upgrading our server, so it could be that certain things have been suspended during the move/upgrade?
Let me know and I’ll see what I can find out.
R. It’s an Untamed State by Roxane Gay. It is beautifully written. Yet so hard to read. I had to watch an episode of Hart of Dixie before bed. Just not to end the day on such a sad and scary note.
Cheryl, I’ve watched two episodes of Pitch–it’s GOOD.
I’ll have to check that one out bev!
I’m still not getting them Maryse. I’m going to try a different email and see if that works.
See Through Heart by Amie Knight was amazing! It’s definitely punch you in the gut, twist your heart kinda reading!
Bev, I’ll have to check that show out- I have been curious.
I am curious about God Shaped Hole- just don’t want to read a Me Before You type of book. I want HEA and so this one scares me not knowing which one it is.
Hi ladies. *limply waves* Anyone willing to offer up some hugs? I’m exhausted and overwhelmed and need ’em. I’m taking over for a director and HOLY MOLY there is so much to learn.
ANYways…those of you scared to read God-Shaped Hole, you have good reason. But it is a great book and worth every heartbreaking moment!!
R…oh honey…wanna group snuggle with me and Manny? If you’re already in the fetal position then you are SO going to need it when you get to…um…a certain scene. 😕
Speaking of God-Shaped Hole…MARYSE!! Where is my GSH/Rockstar easter egg?? *snort*
Oh, and I don’t think I’m getting all of the emails either…
Okay I’m onto “Larks” in 3… 2… 1.
*squeeeee*!!! :D!!! GAH I LOVE READING.
Ooooh okay Amy!!!
I’m emailing you the easter egg. 😉
Easter egg sent!!!!!!
Tee hee!!!! I threw it at you so hard in delight of its cleverness, that it might be cracked. So you’ll let me know. 😉
I demand a response.
Amy, did you just get a new job as the boss? The boss lady?
Make them salute.;)
This book.
“I already did not recognize myself. Seeing what fear looked like in my eyes was an honesty I wasn’t prepared for. I whispered, “You will survive this.”
Taking it in little sips this weekend because parts are very difficult. Definite trigger warnings. But it is also a really good book.
Okay what book are we talking about?
Ah! Untamed State?
Yes, finally started it.
Thanks Amy, that helps me decide. Even if the writing is superb, for me the heartbreak and gut-wrenching crying is so not worth it if there is not a HEA. I don’t mind gut-wrenching angst, but I do require a HEA.
Speaking of that, I still wonder about See Through Heart, especially after Nicole’s comment. Hmmm…
Response sent!! After I finished cleaning up the easter egg that YES did, in fact, crack from how hard you threw it! 😛
Along with my heart. *bites fist to cover sob*
But…but…but…Cheryl!! I didn’t say whether or not there was a HEA…you KNOW I don’t give spoilers like that! Just because something busts my heart and makes me cry doesn’t mean there isn’t a HEA. 😉 I have bawled my eyes out over books before even when they end up with a perfect ending. Sooooo…my lips are sealed on what happens in GSH!
Yep bev…I’m the boss lady. How the heck that happened, I have no idea. *snort* But I absolutely LOVE wearing scrubs…they have so many adorable patterns and gorgeous colors!
And if anyone can find me some manatee scrubs, you would just be the awesomest person EVER!! 😀
I FOUND MANATEE SCRUBS!!!
Well, the top only… but maybe you understand how to match up pants to it? LOL! Something about scrub green or something:
https://www.scrubs.com/Manatees-Scrub-Top-by-Green-Scrubs-p/f00200manatees.htm
Amy: https://www.scrubs.com/Manatees-Scrub-Top-by-Green-Scrubs-p/f00200manatees.htm
You just confuse me more with the is it or isn’t it a HEA. 😉
Oh. Cheryl found ’em. LOL!!!!
And kinda a moot point since GSH isn’t available as a kindle book.
Because your a boss.
Make them fear you.
Really, Amy.
You’ve got to stop giving away the endings.
First you spoiled Hausfrau for me and now God Shaped Hole for Cheryl.
It’s got to stop.
bev…
you were just WAY to intuitive for your own good!!!!! I couldn’t even believe my eyes when you said that.
Not that you were right or anything. Nope. Not. Ummm…
*slowly backs out of the room*
I’m **okay** but I’m about to be not **okay** aren’t I? Yes, I may need to come snuggle Amy!!
Stopping at the part where he just finished his book so I can actually get some work done on mine.
Have “fun” Maryse!! And there’s room in the fort if you need to join me and Amy!
OOOOH!!! Cheryl and Maryse…you guys ARE the awesomest!! But I already knew that. *giggle* I am ordering some right now. 😀
Aw bev, you’re making my heart swell. *blush* Thank you for the encouragement!
HA Cheryl! That’s why I try (key word, “try”) to be vague. *snicker*
And bev, *I* did NOT give away any endings so *pblttttttt*. 😛 That’s why I keep saying that just because I end up freaking the freak out or sobbing and crying and losing my mind does NOT mean there isn’t y’all’s idea of a happy ending. 😉 If an ending gets spoiled, it’s because someone else spoiled it.
Right? Right.
I think. *thinks back to previous comments* Er, I hope. Aw sh!t…
Okay, one more comment and then I have to get my lazy behind to the market. For any WD fans out there:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=deUMaYGnnVE
If you’ve been watching lately, you know the significance of that song. And if you have EVER watched it, you know why this video is so hilariousl. I keep re-watching this video and cracking up!!!
What is happening? 3pm was the last comment? Is it me or is everybody asleep? I’m still not getting notifications.
S.L. Scott’s Sweet Talk is free today. It’s a standalone. Haven’t read it yet, but have read other books by this author and it looks like all her other books are on Kindle Unlimited too.
Wow. This silence is too loud.
Book you are reading right now?
A quote from the page you are currently on?
Book you’ve read this year that you wish somebody else will read too?
First book read in 2016 and did you like it?
First book you read in 2016 that you knew would be one of your year end favorites?
1. An Untamed State by Roxane Gay.
2. “They were there to be seen holding vigil and supporting the family. They were a benevolent pestilence. ”
3. Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil by Melina Marchetta.
4.The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne. I was disappointed in this, especially after so many glowing reviews.
5. King’s Rising by C.S. Pacat.
bev you always know how to get the party started!
1. God-Shaped Hole
2. “Promise me you won’t leave me, Trixie. Promise me.”
“I promise.”
“Wanna go to Disneyland?” he said.
“Right now?”
3. My friend Ashley’s book, Never Stop Falling. I LOVE it. It’s why we’re friends. And I just found out it’s become something of a cult classic at my daughter’s high school. There’s a “secret copy” floating around!
4. Forbidden (Songs of Perdition) by C.D. Reiss. Yes, I really liked it.
5. Same as #3. NSF again. I read it in March. <3
R, NSF I think I have seen the cover floating around on GR? It sounds good.
You probably have. It has a very recognizable cover. I think you’d like it and it has a great twist. On KU too.
OK bev this is fun. And it has been pretty quiet on here. We can depend on you to fun things up. (See what I did there? Made fun into a verb? LOL)
Book I am reading right now: Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
A quote from the page I’m currently on: ‘The wind that courses through the broken windows sounds like whispers. Too many nooks and crannies. Too many hiding places. I pull up the sleeves of my hoodie, all of a sudden not feeling so cold. Why the hell are we here?’
Book I’ve read this year that I wish somebody else will read: Grace Grows by Shelle Summers. (A serious young editor (Grace) falls for a sweetly eccentric singer-songwriter. I loved it.)
First book read in 2016: Sebring by Kristen Ashley. (I liked it)
First book I read in 2016 that I knew would be one of my year end favs: Kulti by Mariana Zapata (I only discovered Mariana Zapata when Wall of Winnipeg came out in March this year).
Holy crap bev! $14 for your #3 I bet Marchetta hopes people will read it too! 😀 You have it on GR as TBR?! What did you like about it? I’ve never heard of it.
This is what I love about Amazon selling used books. Both your *wish* books can be found in hardcover in great condition for considerably less. I’ve been buying a lot of books that way lately.
On my tbr? I haven’t shelved it but did mark it as read. And yes, I bought it full price. Ouch, I know.
I’m horrible at reviewing and putting into words why I like certain books. Really horrible at it. Let me think on it, though it will probably be a ramble.
I’m totally going to one click both of your books for #3.
1. Painted Faces by L.H. Cosway
2. “If I had you in my bed, I definitely wouldn’t be closing my eyes.”
3. Racing the Sun by Karina Halle. Everyone needs to read it. Sexy Italian hero, great story, beautiful setting, LOVED it.
4. Irresistibly Yours by Lauren Layne. It was ok. 3***
5. Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens. Best book I read in 2016. (Kellan….. aaaahhh swoon)
I totally missed that bev. I didn’t see that it was “read.” I can’t do YA which I know you love, but this looks like something I might like.
Leslie, I’m curious about Racing the Sun. I couldn’t get into The Debt and I really want to try a good KH book! Going to check it out now 🙂
I wonder how Maryse is doing with Larks…
Maryse is LOVING Larks. Almost done actually. Almost 600 pages! Gah. But I devoured it, so… review coming soon. 🙂
Leslie, why was it only 4.5 stars then?
R, please ignore my 4.5**** ratings and consider them like other people’s 5*****. I’m a hard a$$ with the 5***** ratings the last few years. When I first started reading romance I feel like I loved almost everything I read, now I’m a nit picky grouch!
As far as KH goes, I’ve found her books to be very different. I honestly couldn’t tell they are same author. I didn’t like Sins & Needles, found Smut not very good either, really liked The Pact & The Offer and LOVED Racing the Sun.
Racing the Sun was a slow burn but NOT boring story with a broody, sexy Italian hero with a tragic past (but they didn’t dwell on this so much that it made entire book depressing…I can’t handle that). It had just enough emotion to make it interesting, but you dont ugly cry through the whole thing. The h was fabulous and funny but not OTT. There are adorable kids (his sibs he is guardian of) and the descriptions of Italy are to die for. I cannot stand books that over descriptive and this one was perfect. Watching the h melt the heart of the H was true romance. I think you might like this one.
R, it’s not YA. It is her first adult book.
Hey everyone! I’m in the mood for some Pepper Winters darkness, and I have several books to choose from, but before I decide, I need a question answered. I’ve been trying to find the answer by reading blurbs and reviews with no luck, so then I had an epiphany–surely someone here will know the answer!
So anyway, I remember reading that two of her antiheroes (I think there are two, and I think they’re antiheroes) are in one of her books here and there, but then one or both of them is featured in another book/series. I’m thinking that Ruin and Rule is somehow one of the books, but I just can’t remember. And I’m almost positive it *is* P. Winters books, but I could be wrong about that too!
Anyone have any clue what I’m talking about? Because I sure don’t! lol,
I just thought of something–maybe I’m getting authors confused? I MAY be thinking about Corrupt by Penelope Douglas being one of the books involved??
I’m so confused!!
600 pages? Holy crap! It didn’t feel that long to me but I guess I was just immersed. I get the paperback tomorrow and I can’t wait to see how thick it is compared to TMIL. I got that one today and it’s thick! Another one I didn’t realize was long while I was reading.
(Hangs head) One day I will write a short story, I swear. Until then, I have a tree planted for every 50 print copies sold.
Suanne… don’t you dare. I LOVE your long books. It allows us to truly live in them!
Oh no. There will be no short books. #stopit
Nay. Ruin and Rule is connected to the Debt series. The main character in Ruin is in the Debt series as a secondary.
Tessa, I saw you started the Maze Runner series. Is this your first time reading it?
I really liked the first one but I DNF’d the second one. But, that was one of the books that made me rethink YA so I think I was just over that age by then? And how much walking in the sun can a person read, really.
I don’t know.
Did they sparkle when walking in the sun?
Not in a good way, bev.
There’s a good way?
According to Leslie.
Leslie is totally going to kick my
a$$. 😉
Lol!
Not funny Bev…..
Ok, I was going to start a different book, but I didn’t realize An Exaltation of Larks was coming out today, and Maryse, Robin, and Jean have convinced me! I’m going in blind without a net or a parachute. Wish me luck!
Oh, and thanks for the info, Tessa!
Go now Nay!!
Grrrr! I just got an email from Amazon and my Larks paperback isn’t coming until Monday! 🙁
Well, that sucks!
I know! Usually when you pre-order the paperback it arrives on release day. Amazon does have this cool thing though where you get the e-book for .99 if you buy the hard copy so for other people who did that, they can still read today for less than a buck! I’m loving that feature. It’s like having your cake and eating it too!
Oh.
That’s too bad.
Did you see Maryse put a review up.
I did! I also saw where she ordered you to read it! 😀
I’m still in Haiti getting my heart broken.
I just barely looked at a couple of sentences here and there at the beginning of Maryse, R., and Jean’s reviews, so I really do know nothing about it going in (except a little of what the blurb says).
Nay, blind is always more fun (unless you read God-Shaped Hole), but this one is so epic I don’t think it matters if you caught anything from the reviews or the blurb. I read the blurb and it didn’t affect my love for it at all. And know I’m here for you. All day. Except when I’m Thanksgiving shopping. Or baking pies. But other than that…I’m here 😉
bev all of my web traffic from the last 2 days is from Moscow. Are you sure you’re not in Russia still?
Nay is that you on my FB? It’s an RC so I wasn’t sure.
R–yep! That’s me! Trying to come out among the living on FB too! lol
I ‘liked’ Maryse’s page years ago, so I pay attention to that and a bunch of authors’ stuff, but as far as *my* FB page goes, most of what posts on there is just stuff from GR. I’m trying to do better!
