Not so many new releases today that have me jolting (I’ll still keep an eye out as they randomly get released), but OMG the Friday bargain finds and reader recommendations are epic! I totally one-clicked that one to the left, and can’t wait to get to it!!
In the meantime, I’m reading book #2 in the Eversea series (Forever, Jack (Eversea #2) <— also super bargain priced) ’cause I LOVED #1 (my review, in case you missed it) and had to continue the series. And yes, I’m loving it too. In fact, even more because it is SO FREAKING INTENSE!
In the meantime, lookit all the finds!! 😀
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
FIVE-STAR READER RECOMMENDATIONS (and bargain finds!) (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).
- The Air He Breathes by Brittainy Cherry <— SUPER-LOVED AUTHOR ALERT!!! Nancy just found us some SERIOUS super-bargains and this author is MUCH-LOVED and I LOVED one of her books and have been DYING to read another. And now I’m one-clicking ’em all!!
Nancy: This is too exciting!!!! Brittainy Cherry has least 4 of her books reduced… My favorite is The Air He Breathes, Loving Mr. Daniels, The Space in Between, Art & Soul.
DG: Nancy – loved, loved The Air He Breathes – it stuck with me way after I was done reading it!!!
Kathy: definitely agree with you about “The Air He Breathes.” as being one of the best books I read this year.
Kristina: I thought it was soo 5 star!! Anything that makes me catch my breath in the middle of the night and makes my husband wake, must be good.
Cheryl: It was well-written and touching and heartbreaking and angsty, but not overly so, which was good because I’ve cried enough with the previous 2 books I read.
Donna: Just wanted to throw out there that I found – The Air He Breathes – prior to your recommend. AND I was blown away! It hit all the marks…I laughed, I cried, I pulled for Tristan, I could not put it down!!! (I stayed up to 3 in the morning to finish it). A definite to add to your TBR list.
Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy Cherry <— I 5-STAR LOVED THIS STUDENT-TEACHER ROMANCE LIKE CRAZY!! And it’s also on super-bargain sale right now! (here’s my review) and Rachel agrees!
Rachel: Loving Mr. Daniels is a must read for anyone who loves teacher/student stories. It was so good! Just one part that was a little too much (it was just something that was so out of left field that it took me,out of the story for a minute), but for the most part it was perfect! Funny, interesting characters, lots of good and achy feelings, no cliffy, so all wrapped up. Read it!
- Cruel & Beautiful by Terri E. Laine & A.M. Hargrove <— ANGSTY TEAR-JERKER ALERT! Back on the list ’cause it’s was one from last week that I wanted to read badly (the recommendation was adamant) and now it’s super-bargain priced today!! YAY ME! Yes… I one-clicked!
Jaime: For what it’s worth. I cried my face off reading cruel and beautiful.
Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas <— DARK READ ALERT and this one was good! She witnesses a mafia-murder, and the mafia hitman kidnaps her and gives her to his brother. For owning! *gasp*!!! (my review)
Emily: I read Mafia Captive …it gave me nightmares!
- The Letting by Cathrine Goldstein <— DYSTOPIAN and it’s super bargain priced!! She’s in love with her enemy… “Ronnie was proud to be a Leader; taking hundreds of harvested girls to the Letting facility. After all, she was saving them from future Couplings and bringing them to the safety of the New World. Or so she thought…“
- KEPT: A Second Chance Fairy Tale by A.C. Bextor <— SINGLE MOM & RECLUSIVE BUSINESS MAN and it’s super bargain priced! “As a single mother living only to make ends meet, I stopped wishing for more. My hopes and dreams in finding Prince Charming ceased to exist. Life forced my priorities to change. Then I walked into Michael Holden’s office and saw pain not so unlike mine reflecting through his icy gaze…” Lauren LOVED THIS ONE!!!
Lauren: I read KEPT: A Second Chance Fairy Tale by A.C Bextor yesterday & loved it so much I reread it today. She wrote the Lights of Peril MC series that I’m always raving about….Shame is still my favorite MC character, ever!
- A Modern Fairytale: The Vixen and the Vet / Never Let You Go: (Two-Book Bundle) by Katy Regnery <— FIRST 2 BUNDLED AND STILL ON SUPER-SALE and SO many here love this series! Book #1 has a scarred reclusive hero, and #2 is about two abused foster kids that meet again once adults. “…foster children Holden and Griselda attempt to escape their abductor, but only one of them makes it to safety, while the other is returned back to hell. Ten years later, they meet again.” Book #3 will be out in just a few days (all standalones).
Theresa: The Vixen and the Vet was really good. Pure old fashion romance.
MichelleS: I just read never Let You Go. I won’t forget it, that’s for sure. Very cool retelling of Hansel and Gretel – what if two kids got “taken” and then formed a bond? Yup. Pretty cool.
Lauren: Never Let You Go is one of my favorite books of 2015. I’ve already re-read it a few times.
- Walk Through Fire (Chaos) by Kristen Ashley <— Kristen Ashley is writing another book (Cait found out for us, saying: “…my life may be complete I just saw that Kristen Ashley has wrote an erotic BDSM I think this will please most of us!”). YAY US! 😀 DG loved this (older) one of hers, so I’m putting it on today’s list!
DG: Lost time mixed with regrets kill me more….very rare for me to read second chance books. KA’s Walk Through Fire was so good but tore me to pieces….
- This is War, Baby (War & Peace Book 1) by K. Webster <— DARK READ ALERT and book #2 – the conclusion sequel – will be out in just a few days and Erica loved it!
Erica: This book was so good!! I read it in a day and now I can’t wait for book 2 to come out! It’s a dark read yes, but totally worth it. Loved it!!!
- The Confessions: An Original Sinners Collection by Tiffany Reisz <— TIFFANY REISZ RECENT RELEASE back on the list ’cause Grey loved it, and I LOVE how Grey described her love of it!
Grey: I read The Confessions…. Loved it. It was like coming home slipping into a bubble bath – except this was a priest and a dominatrix’s confession so not really a comfy robe… Kind of a bed of nails or switch to the back… But you know what I mean. And Tiffany Reisz didn’t disappoint with a little tidbit that I always watch for, le sigh!
and Leslie agrees…
Leslie: About the whole Original Sinners Series…I do not like heavy BDSM but that series really is amazing. Super taboo & addicting. Like Stephanie says, you do really see the love between Soren & Nora in 4th book…made me cry. Nora is such an interesting character, one of my fave heroines. I’m not typically a book pusher, but this series is a must read.”
Drop Dead Sexy by Katie Ashley <— THIS NEW RELEASE is back on the list ’cause DG really enjoyed it!
DG: one clicked Drop Dead Sexy!!!! *happy dance*. Only had a chance to get through prologue…laughing my tail off!!! First time, latex allergy for HIM, large purple eggplant, and rotten luck! Just what I need… a light funny read. Yay me! …Drop Dead Sexy may be about a coroner/mortician and a GBI agent….but geez….it’s a lot of dirty. *chorus dirty deeds done dirt cheap running through my head*. …Never realized some of the “situations” that morticians experience. Started off laughing…now OMGing…
DG: Finished Drop Dead Sexy. Innuendos…lots of innuendos. A good light read full of focus….and innuendos. Hot GBI agent, an unlucky mortician, a mystery, a little mountain hoodoo, throw in a lot of laughs and OMGs… A unique read for sure. Not what I expected but not a hardship to read and her writing style is easy to fall into.
- Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer <— ONE OF MY FAVORITE DARK READ AUTHORS LOVES THIS ONE!
Skye Warren: Years is good but Morning Glory by Spencer is my favorite book ever. Ex-con, reclusive woman, marriage of convenience, so epic!!
- Uncommon Passion by Anne Calhoun <— A COP & A GIRL THAT JUST LEFT A RELIGIOUS COMMUNE ALERT! And she’s going to “buy” a cop at an auction to get rid of her “inexperience”. *waggles eyebrows* And Skye also enjoyed and suggests this one! “Uncommon Passion by Calhoun also with a cop hero and a girl who’s left a commune.”
- Sinful Nights Bundle: Books 1-3 by Lauren Blakely <— Pia found us this bundle on super-sale! “Just want to let you know that Amazon has Sinful Nights Box Set (no 1-3) by Lauren Blakely …Super deal and awesome books
“

Too funny! Rereading KA’s Walk through Fire (needed some good ole MC soulmate feels) as we speak!
The Air He Breathes looks goooood. I am getting that one!
But it may be a while before I read it because I seem to be on a sci-fi kick right now. I tried several romance books and couldn’t get into any of them. Then I tried a sci-fi and wham! that was it. So I’m currently listening to one and reading one. Strange as I don’t often read and listen to the same genre at the same time.
In case anyone is interested, those two are:
The Lead Cloak by Erik Hanberg in Audible with a great narrator. It’s about a society that has developed a Internet of sorts that allows people to jump into others’ minds, past and present, and live vicariously through them. No privacy! Not even in thoughts.
and
Sammi by W.D. County. Sammi is about an extremely human-like android who seeks psychoanalysis. The psychoanalyst is already feeling the sparks with him. 😉 though I don’t really know if this will turn into a romance read. There’s another android being built, this one female, and her handler is dirty, nasty, creepy. I don’t know where that is going yet either. I’m at about 25% and can’t wait to get back to it.
Aaaanyways, I’m also getting The Letting because that’s dystopian (close enough to sci-fi). AND I ran across, Imaginations by AE Watson for $1. It’s another dystopian and I’m getting that one too.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Walk Through Fire! I just reread it last week!
Walk through fire was great as are all of the books in that series! Reading Kristen Ashley books is like coming home.
I read The Confessions by Tiffany Reisz. Anything Soren and Nora want to confess I’m all in! I just love, love, love this whole series!
Another great series I’m rereading right now is Roam by Kimberly Adams. It’s a paranormal time travel filled with romance, intrigue and family ties that are very strong. I get all gushie and tingly just thinking of these books!
Another book that came out today is Hurt. This is by Trina M Lee. It is a novella from The Alexa O’Brien Huntress series! Been waiting for this!
Fabi – The Air He Breathes is AWESOME!!!!! Love, loved it!
Thanks DG. I’m also encouraged by Cheryl’s reaction to it. I may actually be able to handle the angst. Of course, I LOVED Loving Mr. Daniels.
Shae Scott’s On Paper is on sale for .99 right now. It’s about a male romance author who falls for a book nerd. 🙂
Kellie, I loved On Paper. 100% pure love story.
I didn’t realize The Air He Breathes is by the author of Loving Mr. Daniels…I LOVED that one!!!
Fabi, I snagged The Letting a couple of days ago as well when it popped up in one of my emails…I signed up for a couple of new-to-me email subscriptions that send out book sales daily, and I have snagged a whole slew of books I never would have picked up otherwise, all because they were free or on sale. Heh, kinda like what has happened since I started coming here. 😛
Maryse, I’m not very far into Cruel and Beautiful yet, *definitely* not far enough to rec it yet, but so far so good!
And you seriously have me anxious to start Eversea. I keep having flashbacks of Tarryn and Ryan and all the feels that story gave me, and I want that again!!!
Loving Mr Daniels was great also…I did it realize that it was the same author either until after reading The Air He Breathes. Went hunting other books by her.
Angsty but so worth it! Again, this book stayed with me.
MARYSE!!!!! My fellow organization-lovin’ friend, LOOKIE!!!!
https://news.yahoo.com/photos/14-beautiful-pantries-organization-goals-164321325/
I’m already planning out my closets just from these pictures!!!
Oh look Morning Glory! One of my favorite historical romances as well 😀
I’m reading Hustle by Ashley Claudy and *sighs* I adore Drew. So sigh worthy. The story’s good, the angst is there, and it’s all her POV which I prefer. *grins* However, the H is BBF material. BIG TIME.
Michelle, by LaVyrle Spencer? Then that’s one we finally disagree on. I never liked that one. I can’t remember it so I can’t say why, but I remember not liking it.
I read KEPT: A Second Chance Fairy Tale by A.C Bextor yesterday & loved it so much I reread it today. She wrote the Lights of Peril MC series that I’m always raving about….Shame is still my favorite MC character, ever!
The past month I’ve been re-reading my Kristin Ashley books. The ‘Burg series, the Colorado series, the Unfinished Heroes series and this last week the Rock Chick series. Rock Chicks are probably my least favorite because I don’t enjoy an entire book of the woman fighting the relationship and being bitchy about and this series is full of that. But I can’t get enough of KA. I love that she writes about men and women in their 30’s and 40’s and I love me some alpha male. Tack from Motorcycle Man will always be my favorite. Really looking forward to her newest one out a month from today. My TBR sitting in my kindle right now are Hawk (LOVE that cover), Drop Dead Sexy, Asking for More, and Lightning. Read Confessions and i loved it. Wish the confession had spanned more than one time. Would have loved to know more from Soren. Something about Tiffany Reisz, she often explains something that happens in one book later in a different book and this was no exception. Left me wanting more. Ok, I think I’ve rambled on enough. Finishing up Love, Chloe now.
Tessa that’s the one. It’s a very ‘real’ story that doesn’t shy from the hard edges and of course a 1940s wartime America sets a daunting backdrop. I remember reading it when I was into the more swoony historicals with the dominant heroes and it just was a breathe of fresh air. It was all about the characters – Will and Elly with their shared vulnerability, loneliness, and simple, humbling passion. We will agree to disagree 😉
Tessa, have you read The Raven Boys? Thought out of anyone you may have but it’s different and good, almost finished.
I did and loved it. I have yet to read the second book, but the first book hooked me. I don’t know why I haven’t read the second. Maybe due to how long it’s been?
On the LaVyrle Spencer book, that might have been the issue. I was about fifteen *ish* and really wasn’t looking for “real” so much as an the grand and extravagant life. .
Tessa, I read Hustle and really liked it. I also read Tackled which I found in the “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” under Hustle and I ended up enjoying Tackled better than Hustle.
Oooooh! I’m loving Drew. He’s so great. Tackled is better? YEAH! 🙂
And the tbr list grows!!!! Just added Kept!! Love A.C Bextor’s books!! Lights of Peril series was amazing!!! Yeah Lauren, so happy to read someone read Kept & loves the Lights of Perils series like I do!!! Have to say the first book in that series, Holding On blew me away!!!
Fyi Holding On is free on Amazon.ca!!!!
Forever Pucked, book 4 will be released March 29. It’s about the engagement and upcoming marriage of Alex and Violet. Should be hilarious!
You know, I squirreled away from the 3rd Pucked book. I need to get back to it since the 4th is almost out.
Started reading Never Stop Falling by Ashley Drew. The cover caught my “nurse” attention and so far it’s been an angsty ride. It does have one of those prologues that I kinda wished I had not read. It doesn’t totally give away a lot but I think would be better just jumping in on the first chapter. H/h grew up together and then when admitted feelings to each other something happened and then they are apart. Anxious to see how this resolves. May be reading late tonight.
Decisions decisions!! The air he breathes is my next then cruel and beautiful!
As for Kristen Ashley she is the queen and I rather fancy myself as a rock chick!!!
Finished a thousand boy kisses and omg I loved it I was a blubbering mess by the end of it but I can’t stop thinking of it all day!
Happy Saturday ladies!
Just finished Never Stop Falling and I loved it. Needed Manny and some wine at times. A friends to lovers angst-filled ride. Amazing, debut novel. 🙂
Must Love Otters is 99 cents today. Haven’t I seen that mentioned around here? I thought Maryse may have read it, but didn’t see her review anywhere. Anyone?
Guess I am going to start the Calendar Girl series by Audrey Carlan. Friend wants me to BR with her. Any one else read these?
I started the first one, Cheryl… eh. I ended up putting it down halfway through, so maybe I didn’t give it much of a chance, but considering how high-up these were in the best-selling charts, I needed more of a hook (also considering the price, and the novella-ish length of each book). Maybe it becomes addictive with each addition?
Cheryl, I read the series. I loved it!! Couldn’t put it down. As soon as I finished one book I had to start the next!! I don’t know how many book hangovers I had through this series!!
Oh wow Lisa! That makes me happy to hear!!!! I wasn’t getting much word from our Facebook crew and our crew here, so I was going in blind (and by the rankings)…
Okay maybe I need to jump back in!! 😀
Cait…I *really* wanted to love A Thousand Boy Kisses like you do and everyone else is, but it was just way too similar to another read that I loved with all of my freaking heart. I think because of that, and the fact that it just didn’t grab me from the get-go, I had a hard time really loving it. Liked it? Sure…but that’s it. 😕 How odd is it when we actually WANT to looooooove certain books like everyone else does but end up crestfallen when we don’t?? Oh, that’s right…it’s one of the norms around here. 😉
Amy your so right but I think when we are waiting for a book we build the t up and become disappointed if ya get me! I loved it cuz it went in a direction that I didn’t expect!! I love how we all seem to love books differently!
Cheryl, I’m moving that one up! But I just might skip the prologue after your comment…I remember when I used to love those kinds of prologues, but now they mostly ruin the fun of being blindsided. *sigh*
Kind of like another pet peeve I’m dealing with right now while reading Cruel and Beautiful. It’s definitely NOT because of the book but rather because my stupid mind won’t stop obsessing over what I am pretty sure is going on. UGH! I just want to enjoy the story and let it play out, but my mind keeps going back to THAT.
Compare it to this…take three deep breaths. Come on, humor me and just do it!! Did you do it? Okay, now try and let your body take over your breathing without you thinking about it…it’s hard to do, right? Yeah, that’s what I’m dealing with. If that analogy makes any sense at all. *snort*
I agree, Cait. Maybe if the reveal in ATBK would have happened later in the book it would have been better for me? Or maybe not. *sigh* I don’t know.
But you are definitely in the majority with loving that one, so I think it was just me. 😉
Kept sounds good. I started The Air He Breathes but it wasn’t what I was in the mood for. I’ll have to get back to it. I finished Love Chloe this morning and it was good.
Lisa M & Maryse, I’m about halfway thru book 1 and I am now liking it. I think because I am warming up to the h who and her “situation.” It is definitely one of those books that gets better over time, not to say that it’s a 5* at this point for me. My friend and I are loaning books, so that will help overall with the cost of this series. It’s somewhat of a unique storyline and I’m curious how this will play out based on how book one is progressing.
Amy I understand your pet peeve. It gets underneath the story and then I can’t get it out of my head and I’ll even flip back to the part that “flipped” that thought on and re-read it multiple times. And I think I know which “part” got to you.
Ok, I finished It’s All Relative… I think I’m gonna go with Drop Dead Sexy… but then I’m gonna need something Dark. be thinking… *giggle*
Grey, do you read mm? I have a wicked dark mm rec.
I have read a few Fabi… I’m not opposed.
Cheryl…I’m so frustrated because I know how I am *supposed* to be reading it, and yet I’m reading it in a different frame of mind because I. Just. Know. Aw man, I’m trying to resist looking at reviews with spoilers to see if I’m right, and if I’m WRONG then I’m going to be reaaaaalllllly p!ssed that I read it in the frame of mind that I did.
Does that make sense, since you’ve already read it and most likely know what I’m referring to???
Grey, imo, an awesome dark mm read is Bad Things by Varian Krylov. Or if you want to get LoA dark, try the mf The Tied Man.
THE TIED MAN!!!!!!
Grey, check out Maryse’s review of it…that was such a fun and crazy group read. TTM is so messed up but so good at the same time. 😉
Yes, it makes sense Amy. I was in a similar frame of mind and just bewildered/perplexed. Still the ending…
“try the mf The Tied Man” –> Fabi, wow that’s some recommendation. We know how you felt about reading that one and boy did that book hurt.
I think we all freaked over that one. It was my first dark read of that sort. Since then Life of Anna happened. So everything else seems mild in comparison.
Wasn’t there supposed to be a follow up to TTM?
I just finished reading Kept!! Wow!! What an amazing story!!! Another book hangover!! Read late & then had to pick it up again & read even later!!! I just had to know what happens next & then my mind wouldn’t shut down!! Up at 7am to finish it off!! Heavy sigh!!!
Maryse an historical list would be fab!!
Finished The Dream Thieves and it was a smidge less than The Raven Boys for me (Ronan is not my favorite) but still really good.
Going to start the third one but I need a contemporary change up I think first. Who wants to help me not make a decision, pick a number between 1 and 839 to give me a CR to read tonight 😀
Nobody is around 🙁 Wanted to start reading something before Walking Dead so I picked my own number. Got Ugly Love…
I just saw your post, otherwise I would have tossed a number to you! *hugs Michelle*
Holy crap, Ugly Love?!? I freaking LOVE that one! I still can’t see the cover without getting a lump in my throat. Just in case you decide it’s not for you, here’s a number…
547! 😀
And I’m dying for Walking Dead…please jump on here to chat with me after the finale, m’kay???
What time zone are you? I’m Pacific…
Amy, can you believe I never read Ugly Love but of course I’m liking it a lot so far. There’s not much she writes that I don’t! Just finished watching WD (EST) and it was good but sad…I think the last 2 episodes are going to be crazy!
Oh and 547 was Underestimated by Jettie Woodruff! Pulled it out to read soon 🙂
I can’t believe you hadn’t read Ugly Love yet. Isn’t it crazy how good, popular ones get buried in our tbr list?
I’m starting Marked in Flesh tomorrow. Where is Bev?! I’m so excited.
Fabi, there’s probably a lot on my CR TBR especially that I’m the only one that hasn’t read it yet! I get distracted by too many other genres that it’s hard to keep up sometimes.
Yey MiF was another 5* read and probably was my second favorite read in the series behind WiR. Yeah did Bev ever read it yet?!
Bev’s been MIA 🙁
I here ya on other genres. Like I wrote at the beginning of this thread, I’ve been on a sci-fi kick. I just finished two of them back to back.
I’m starting MiF on audible tomorrow but I don’t know what I’m going to start on Kindle tonight.
Bev HAS been missing around here. 🙁 I think she would love Jan’s favorites list…
Michelle, I loved in Ugly Love how lyrical and sweet his past POV was…and then it wasn’t. And my heart HURT because of the reason why. GAH, I loved that book!
And WD *was* sad. Neegan is supposed to make his appearance in the season finale with his infamous barbwire-wrapped bat. Those pictures Glenn saw were awful and horribly foreshadowing…and worse, we don’t know yet WHO is going to be on the receiving end of that sh!t because they may not follow the comics. 😕
Loved Ugly Love! Can’t wait until the movie!
Guys, I finally found a book that is giving me tons of feels and I don’t want to put it down. Kept. I know someone here mentioned loving it and reading it! Sooo great. And just to warn Amy, it’s dual POV, BUT DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU!
I won’t, Jean! I’m less resistant to dual POV than I am to all-male POV, so I’ll definitely give Kept a shot. Lisa M gave it some love up above as well. 😀
I never comment, but I’ve been following this blog for a while. I LOVED Loving Mr. Daniels (so much I want to try other books by her), but I couldn’t get into The Air He Breathes. Maybe it’s the teacher/student thing because I loved Gabriel’s Inferno too (I know I think I’m in the minority here lol). I think I need to go back through the teacher/student list and refresh my TBR. And Cheryl, I’m so glad people are reading Never Stop Falling! I got to read it in beta and became an instant fan! I loved it! Definitely a favorite.
*waves at Renee* Hiiii, I hope you start commenting often. I need to add Gabriel’s Inferno to my tbr.
Hi!! I loved it!! It’s cheesy, but the best kind of cheese. The Professor’s kind of a jerk, and yet I still drooled over him! What that says about me, I don’t know.
LOL as Maryse and many of us frequently repeat around here “in books, only in books” 🙂
I like that motto. It totally makes me feel better about my love for Captive in the Dark…and how easily I can justify Stockholm Syndrome lol
Hi Renee!!! *big welcome hug* I’m pretty sure Maryse has a list of student/teacher books. I’ll try to find it for ya…
And we LOVE all kinds of taboo around here (in books, only in books ;)) so you don’t need to justify anything! 😀
Here it is…
https://www.maryse.net/books/book-recommendations/teacher-student-romance-books-where-she-is-the-teacher.html
Yes, thanks Amy! I was just perusing it 🙂 I’ve read 18, and have mixed feelings, but I’m dying to read On the Island. I think I need to bump that up!
YES Renee…read On the Island!!! Read it, read it, READ IT!!!!!!!
The lovely ladies here kept at me for the longest time to read it, and I was stubborn and kept holding off (well, Jean had something to do with that because she was holding off on Sweet Gum Tree :P) but when I finally did read it, I WAS IN LOVE WITH IT!!! Seriously, I was skipping around and tossing flower petals – in my head, at least – and sighing and swooning for DAYS after I read it.
OTI. Was. Beautiful.
Yes, it looks right up my alley!! I have Sweet Gum Tree in my list too! So many books, so little time!
Oh Renee…RENEE!!! Both OTI and SGT are definite MUST READS. Two of my all-time favorites. 😀
I’ll admit, it’s the SGT title and cover that deterred me, but I know how stupid that is!! But, when you’re trying to decide between tons of books, sometimes it’s the little things that sway you! I know I bumped up How To Save a Life because of the cover!
Oh, and here is the other teacher-student list…
https://www.maryse.net/books/book-recommendations/teacher-student-romance-books.html
DON’T let the cover for SGT deter you. I have a thing about covers as well (I’m awful about skipping over a book because of it’s cover :?) and that one could definitely use a change, but the story is just wonderful. Add to that an event that completely blindsided me and had me going “WHAT?!?” (on a sob, no less). And the title makes sense once you read it. 😉
I’ll definitely put those 2 at the top! I almost skipped Bright Side for the same reason! Glad I didn’t!
Read and loved Never Let Me Go by Katy Regnery.
Just started The Fable Of Us by Nicole Williams… So far soooo good!

Just read That One Night by Josie Wright and loved it. It’s book 2 in a series. Chock full of comedic characters, chaos and true love. ♡
