Hooray, the weekend is here!! I’m going out sans kids tonight for dinner, a rarity.
I finished a few books this week. Two, I had started and squirreled at some point or another so I was a good portion into the book to finish. Queen of Thieves was really unique and held my attention throughout. I found myself looking up Alice Diamond soon after. The Bromance Book Club had been on my shelf too long and I finally got to finish it. It was more an ok read for me. I’m not sure if it’s because I picked it up and put it down with too long of gaps between, but I wasn’t ever dying to find out what happened next. Good for one of those mindless kind of mood reads though and it did make me laugh a few times. And then Darling Girl, one of my book of the month books, also on my shelf for too long, a Peter Pan retelling. I was pretty captivated by this one, I’m a sucker for fairy tale retellings. Now, I’m trying to get into Ariadne while also reading a library copy of Jar of Hearts- super intense. That one, I also don’t like to put down.
Oh that title alone “Jar of Hearts” makes me wanna read it. Super intense??? I’m looking it up now. YAY!!!
I could’ve sworn it was popular here years ago. I’ve read Things We Do in the Dark by the same author and it was unputdownable also so I really wanted to finally read this one.
Oh YEAH!! I read “Creep” by her and I liked it!!! Plus it’s in KU. YAY ME!!
