- 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton <— NEW COVER & SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS ONE (and it’s going to be a NETFLIX series!!) 😀
Lisa: After reading the 44 chapters series by BB Easton, I eagerly searched for any other books she’s written…
Nay: BB Easton, one of my favorite authors who knocked my socks off with the 44 Chapters series. …I was completely captivated by the 44 Chapters series by BB Easton, which includes Skin, Speed, Star, and Suit. I just wish she had more high school/college boyfriends to write about!
I HIGHLY recommend … if you’re looking for a coming of age series that’s full of non-stop excitement (sex, drugs, romance, fast cars, rock ‘n roll). The books are based on B.B. Easton’s life from 15 on (although she’s 15, these are NOT YA), and each book features the story of her life during the time she’s dating a different boyfriend.
They are well written and edited and are full of non-stop wild tales of a young girl who’s learning EVERYTHING about life and love (I don’t see how she made it through her junior and senior years of high school!)
- Beyond the Horizon: An age gap romance by Bea Paige <— RECENT RELEASE AND NANCY RECOMMENDS IT!
Nancy: You wanted to know if I liked BEYOND THE HORIZON. Well, I really, really did!! If you are looking for a unique book to read, then you will find it in Bea Paige’s new release: BEYOND THE HORIZON. The beautiful writing drew me in right from the start…
…He is twice her age. She reminds him of a girl he once loved and is all kinds of off-limits. Not to mention she’s the daughter of his best friend and the girl he loved more than life itself. She is so off-limits and forbidden…
…This is an epic love story. And the author said, “Sometimes, the kind of love we dream of can only be found within the pages of a book. I can’t give you your own happily ever after, but I can give you theirs.”
- The Ninth Inning: A New Adult Sports Romance (The Boys of Baseball Book 1) by J. Sterling <— HE’S FOCUSED ON GETTING DRAFTED… “…Christina Traver’s has had enough of Cole pushing her aside for baseball. - You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle <— LIGHT-HEARTED READ ALERT! RECENT READ & WE HAVE FEEDBACK ’cause Harper enjoyed this one!!
Harper: I finished You deserve each other last night and really enjoyed. For me, it was the right amount of comedy and light-heartedness. It gave me the chance to think about the way we act sometimes and the way it is perceived by other people. I don’t want to give anything away, but I recommend.
- The Hypnotist’s Love Story: A Novel by Liane Moriarty <— LIANE MORIARTY SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT! - Ride by Harper Dallas <—- MONY LOVED IT!!
Mony: Just finished Ride by Harper Dallas – REALLY liked this one! Got it from Cheryl’s Best 2019 Reads list. She says “This was a debut book that certainly did not read like one. Everyone probably knows that I love sports romance and when I saw that R. Renee recommended this one, I promptly one-clicked it.
Strong heroine and angsty well-written story about extreme snowboarding.” Ditto (I’m lazy). One of the strongest sports reads I’ve come across. Part of my light headspace book run. Thank you Cheryl…plus have read more of your 2019 picks!
R. Renee: I loved Ride, Mony! And I usually hate sports romances! <3
Mony: Agree! It felt like I was on the powder snow in the forest and the dynamics between all the characters felt authentic. Next up – read YOUR best reads…

While Heath is willing to give Orchard everything—space, money, his body—he’ll never release her from their vows. Nancy: I ONE-CLICKED!!

- Sweet Chaos by Emery Rose <— NANCY ONE-CLICKED IT! “…This was recommended to me by an author friend. So I read the blurb & then I 1-clicked! It is a new release …& KINDLE UNLIMITED! With all the chaos in the world with this Coronavirus, I haven’t been able to concentrate when I start a book. I am reading really slowly & it takes me days to finish a book. That is if I finish. However, I have no difficulty buying books. I now have enough books that I wouldn’t live long enough to finish them all. That is a depressing thought, but doesn’t stop my 1-clicking! Smile & Be Happy & Read a Book!”
- Shortcake by Lucy Watson <— UNREQUITED LOVE ALERT!! Margie recommends it!
Margie: A new book for this list: Shortcake by Lucy Watson. The h and H are forced to live together and remodel the H’s deceased grandmother’s house (and no more spoilers). While that usually is a too contrived plot for me, the author’s writing and storytelling makes it work. The characters are complex and smart, and for anyone who likes unrequited love themes, you’ll love this one. Awesome h with funny snappy dialog, and a brooding sexy alpha H. Looking forward to more from this author.
- You Can Have Manhattan by P. Dangelico <— MARRIAGE ALERT!! MUCH LOVED READ SUPER-BARGAIN TODAY!

Jan: I read and enjoyed P Dangelico’s new one, You Can Have Manhattan.

Big list today! So happy everyone is getting their reading grooves back. ☺️ We, the Wildflowers stands out to me right now.
I’ve been stalking my tracking history for my book of the month. I hope it gets here today, though it doesn’t show movement since the 8th. 🤔 I’d really like to dig into Beach Read. Although I have tons of unread books in my kindle library……they aren’t light and I think I’m in the mood for light. I hope.
First grandbaby born last night. Woohoo! A boy. All are healthy & happy.
Honestly, my daughter and all of us were pretty worried about a hospital birth during these difficult days. But the hospital set-up was super safe, and all was calm. Daughter said it was great. Her husband & 2 midwives allowed in room…had been vetoed due to shortages of PPE with C-19…then hospital came through. Nurses, midwives, doctors, cleaning & food staff all wore protective suits, face masks, plastic face shields, gloves. Sounds like SF novel. Interesting times. 🙂
Today, I’m filling front yard with onesie banners I made from funky store & old gift bags…pretty cute. “Isolation Art”
Those will make pretty cool birth pictures if you ask me, everyone in protective suits and precious baby boy, congrats!!! Glad the birth went well and sending well wishes for continued health and happy snuggles!
Thanks Tasha…how to make a mask for a baby? 🙂
Congratulations!
What a story to tell him later.
Thanks Bev!
Congratulations. Lovely news!
So happy for you. Something good and precious has happened during this tough time. You are blessed.
Good thoughts coming your way!
YAY NEW BABY!!!! 😀 And what a relief that she had people she trusted (and one that she loves) in there with her.
Thanks Jan, JulieO & Maryse! Keeps things real…
Does he have a name yet?
Théo…it’s French. 🙂
Love Theo! I considered that name for one of mine as well. I was vetoed, but still ❤️ it!
Too funny! It was hard to find a French name that everyone could pronounce. 🙂
The headlines out of New York are just so sad.
Apparently, cautiously, it looks like social distancing might working, so that is good. Just hopefully people can keep themselves home on Easter.
Hope to get back to reading, I loved being back to reading, and going to bed at a more reasonable time. Get my concentration more focused, lol. It has been so scattered.
I’m scattered too. It’s understandable right now. We want to escape with our things that we love, but we can’ help but be so focused on what’s going on right now… and our personal worries.
Since I’ve been home so much and needing comfort reads, I went back to an old favorite series. The Dark-Hunters by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I forgot how much I love PNR and now I want to read everything!!
OMG I LOVED THOSE!!!!
Me too! I’m just about finished with Zarek’s book now. I think after this series I may start the Midnight Breeds. I haven’t read those and they sounds pretty good.
R, I watched this a couple nights ago and when he mentioned Texas I thought of you.
https://youtu.be/o62WBI0pBDY
Haha! I love that! And yeah, the friendship state. I have a line about that in Magnolia May!
Lol.
I saw in the news your governor wants to open up your state soon. Hopefully he waits until at least May.
This place terrifies me. Our neighbors have been pushing to get together but we’re not ready. How do we know we aren’t carrying the virus and vice versa? We’ve had almost all the symptoms at one time or another beginning in Europe, and I don’t think they’re nearly as diligent at staying home as we are. We do curbside pickup only and not often. And right now I’m sitting in my office and the road noise is obnoxious. At noon on a Saturday. Where the heck is everyone going? Aside from some businesses being closed, it’s a normal day here. Thank god they’re closing the boat ramps on the lake tomorrow or it would be covered.
I have a friend who is having some of the same issues with another friend who wants to do get togethers. I feel like they have been pretty clear that if you dont share a home, and if possible, stay apart from each other. Especially now that they feel it spreads farther and easier than they first thought.
Did you see that Fauci has been talking about antibodies test to see if people may of had it? They still do not know how long immunity lasts but it is an interesting step. If/when available to the wider public it might be something for you and your husband.
Oh, and tomorrow worries me. Like yes it is easter but it comes every year, I mean I’ve had 40 of them, stay at home.
Exactly. We live near a lake and the water is COVERED on Easter. That’s why I’m so glad they closed the ramps. I don’t know if they closed the parks though and they get so crowded people are literally on top of each other.
That just makes me anxious. I dont know how people can look at what is going on, well everywhere, but especially places like NY and think gets togethers and visiting parks is such a great idea. Especially since they now believe that asymptomatic people are big spreaders, so it is more than just some one who coughs or sneezes.
Hopefully they close your parks and waterways and I also hope that the churches stay closed too.
Can we just grab giant megaphones and shout at everyone to stay home?!? It doesn’t matter if Texas is the Friendship State, too many cooties. 😉
I just read that churches are considered an essential service per our governor and can still operate, though some are opting to go online. The ones that want to remain open are comparing it to going to a grocery store and I’m just not seeing that.
Yes and I’m very interested in that. Our business is medical sales so I keep hoping I hear something through our contacts since it’s so hard to trust the news.
Oh Renee, very sad to hear that. Hard to go against crowd and do what you think is right. Was curious so checked latest stats on C-19 infected folks who show no symptoms. Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine puts it at 25-50%. Probably doesn’t help you but CEBM is a reliable source. My Vancouver s-i-l throws pebbles at those who come closer that 6 ft (our Canadian standard) – she’s always been a hoot. Maybe spitting? Heard someone in ‘hood was doing that. I hear that face masks are hot. 🙂
I’m a natural hermit so it hasn’t been too hard for me but my husband is about to crawl out of his skin. He’s been stress shopping on amazon and we have the most random deliveries. Yesterday it was medical grade soap and fire starters. Today it was a grill cover. 😂
I like the spitting idea. I may use that even after this is all over. “Go away, I need to write.” *coughs and hocks loogie* Come to think of it, I should try that on my bored husband who keeps coming back here every 30 minutes to visit the poodle. 🤣
LOL!!! I got fire starters too!!!!!
And yes… stress shopping is me.
We just bought a ton of firewood and it takes an act of congress to get it to burn. We’re going through starters like crazy!
kidding about spitting…
Thank you Kristen Ashley for making your new book free 😀
RIDE was on my favorites list also. Really loved it. She had the characters down. But what I found interesting is that the next book in the series doesn’t seem to interest me that much so never read it. Mony why don’t you read it and let me know? I also learned so much about snow boarding. That extreme stuff is too scary for me. My stepson does that. He and a couple of guys have a helicopter take them up and drop them off. I really don’t want to know when they do this. Just when he gets back to his home safe.
I HAVE CHEESE!!!!!!! 😀
Whoot!
I thought I was too buzzed about new baby to read…so many pics to look at. lol So I started to organize my book lists. But then I saw that One Moment Please was a doc romance!…read it & it was fantastic! Adding to my list…Beach Read – thanks Tasha, You Deserve Each Other looks like a sweet book- thanks Harper. Want to check out buzz about B.B.Easton. JulieO, glad you liked Ride…looked into #2 Crash but decided to give it a pass…just doesn’t seem like same calibre. 🙂 You Can Have Manhattan is fantastic! – a 5-star for sure.
Money
CRASH just didn’t interest me either. He just didn’t seem like he could carry a full book. If you haven’t read BB EASTON’s book you need to. Very good and I think fascinating. Some people can’t believe that she was in high school when book started but I grew up in the seventies so nothing phases me. If you read it let me know who your favorite men are.
HAPPY HOPPY EASTER
Sorry, always changes your name to Money.
Too bad Mony can’t actually convert to Money 🙁 Ok then! I’ll try BB Easton…like try off-beat books & this to be along those lines…
Alright if you had to make a 3 book tbr list, that you HAVE to stick to what would it be.
Like once you write them down these are the only 3 you can read until done or a complete DNF. Looking at your tbr what ones are calling to you?
Mine would be
1.The House In The Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
2.Under The Sardinian Sky by Sara Alexander
3.The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
I’m on a Hollywood romance kick right now so mine would be 1. Love Unscripted
by Tina Reber (a Leslie rec), 2. Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy by Max Monroe, and 3. Monsters: A Love Story by Liz Kay. Not necessarily in that order.
I am reading BECOMING MRS.LOCKWOOD. Good but not dedicated to it. It’s like I’m married to it but having an affair. But I keep going back. I think it’s on KU. Why don’t you try it too. Would be interesting to see if you step out on it too.
I started Lockwood and was really enjoying the mindless escape of it but only made it to about 30%. The shock of her age wore off and then I kept thinking I agreed with the brother!
Oh, Love Unscripted gives me a nostalgic pang. I read it and enjoyed it well enough, but because of how much everyone on here loved it and I miss seeing those names from back then.
I was just going to say that was a good “back in the day” book. I remember everyone reading it!
I’m loving the old school feels these books are giving me!
I put Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy on my to-read list. Not too bad these days…only 217 books. Won’t have time for family…
Grey was the one who rec’d that one to me!
Hmm..being on a lighter headspace quest I’m going with these…
1. Lawless by Tracey Ward (surfer dude book)
2. You Deserve Each Other (Harper’s pick).
3. Detained by Ainslie Paton (One of Ann’s “personal 5 star lose all track of time and reality books.”) Aussie book!
Thanks for doing this Bev…helps to focus.
1. Beach Read
2. The Bone Houses
3. It Ends With Us
TJ Klune??? Ooh. Gotta check it out. Love everything by him.
Maryse,
Just finished reading Southern Storms by Brittany Cherry and I love it! Lately no book appeals to me that I re-reading books I loved. I would say Southern Storms made me shed some tears and warmed my heart. I love the spirit of the young Kennendy – playing in the mud, talking to the birds, dancing in the rain.
Thank you so much, Mary Ann!!! She’s an easy author to love!!!! One of my early indie favorites was from her. 😀
Just finished Shortcake by Lucy Watson. Just what I needed with all this gloom & doom bombarding us daily. if you guys need a pick me up book, this is it. Loved it! Had all the feels & lots of laughs. Like free range peeing 🤣🤣🤣 Great read!
YAY!!! Thank you Randi!!!
Just finished from blood and ash. It was long and I finished it in about 1.5 days. I could not put it down. Staying up wayyyy to late. And you guys I loved it!!!!! Seriously have the biggest book hangover. Easy 5+++++ stars.
SO MANY ARE LOVING THIS BOOK!!!! I’m thrilled. 😀
Happy Easter.
Thank you, Nancy, for the rec of Beyond the Horizon. I’ve been in a book slump lately. I’m about 35% in, but love it so far!
