And itβs kindle unlimited. …loved it! …No annoyance in hero or heroine. Just a lovely read. Ursa was the star, but I loved Gabe too. And Jo. Janet: CD Reissβs Shuttergirl and it was a page-turner. Really smart writing, good storyline, and satisfying characters. A Paparazzi Photographer/Movie Star, second-time romance, set in LA. Lots of Hollywood twists and turns through both the superficial and gritty sides of the city, that take it back and forth from passionate reconnection to the sadness of impossible circumstances. Definitely recommend it!

Good morning and Happy Friday!
I was looking at True Gold because I’m always searching for Alaska books, and I find out there’s a list! How did I miss this?
Hubs and I were joking around last night about having date day today. That’s one thing about our “old” lives that we really miss. I’ll be glad when we can go again, but since I’m so paranoid and have to reheat everything I get from take-out (I’ve only ordered from the pub that son #1 works for and I even heat the blackened corn dip that’s usually eaten cold), there’s no telling how long it’ll be. Bummer. π’
Hope everyone has a safe and healthy weekend!
YAY Nay!!
I love saying that. LOL!!! π
Also I linked up the Alaska list.
And I know what you mean… I loved craving something and running to the grocery store to get just the ingredients for it. I don’t find it’s worth the risk right now… but I miss that.
I also miss running to the Walmart Garden Center and playing with the plants, and getting huge bags of soil (which I actually DO need right now)… but again, worth it? I miss it.
Nay, ooh, another Alaska readerβ¦good to know! While back I mentioned I worked in Arcticβ¦and the quirky things people do in the booksβ¦well, theyβre often true. lol
You might like Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy by Max Monroe – got title from Renee. Great & funny E-T-L read! Lots of Alaska + some Hollywood as wellβ¦Great combo.
Mony–thanks for the rec! I’ll take a look.
Maryse–the bad part is that even when everyone else is out and about, I’ll still be at home. I don’t go out a lot anyway, but I miss having the option to do so.
mony I’m loving Final Serenade! It’s every bit as good as I heard!
THAT’S IT!! I’ve decided. I just one-clicked it and I’m starting it now. π
Our Governor is talking about opening back up May 1st, with some changes to our norm I suppose. Iβm ready for it. I so ready for it. Even though we donβt usually go far or out frequently, I like the option. Even if we have to wear masks or whatever else is necessary.
Stopped at my Momβs last night to sit in my car in her driveway and read for 30 min. My oldest brought her switch and chilled too. It was glorious. I read aloud when I have trouble concentrating and as I was doing it, my daughter laughs. HAH! She does listen to me. Ever since birth Iβve tried reading snippets of what Iβm reading to my children and they all holler at me to stop, they hate it. They donβt listen to a word of it and she was enjoying it!! Beach Read is funny, I stopped and said oooohhh, crap just got real. Itβs gonna get even better yβall.
It scares me Tasha. Alot can happen in 2 weeks, so hopefully we are seeing better progress.
I’m not sure when the west is opening up. California, Washington, and Oregon are apparently trying to make plans for each state but also plans together? I think our governor wants to see better numbers and an ability to test and trace.
It does look like everyone is saying May, though previously they’d all said April.
How is your state thinking of opening?
I have no idea. I told you, I live in ignorant bliss. I just saw highlights from his recent speech and it sounded pretty definite. Iβm in OH.
And I know there will be a lot of fear with it. But I want my family financially secure as well so Iβm hoping it doesnβt drag out months and months. Weβll see what happens, I suppose, either way.
The financial aspect is huge, completely understand that.
I want to go back to work so much, but I dont want it to open. I work with children and right now I could not take the worry, I’d rather that aspect stay shut through the summer.
I wonder who will open first and if everyone will sit back and watch with bated breath.
We are down to 1 infected person per day and they are still saying a month before restrictions are relaxed. Thatβs in the state. I think they are trying to eradicate the virus completely.
Did you know Tasha, even if you wear a mask it can be absorbed through the eyes. So a mask doesnβt really protect you as much as you think.
I know, bc my husband is a lot more paranoid than me and makes me wear glasses too. Itβll help a little at least, he says. Iβm following protocol when I do go out, as much as I can. And Iβm talking very, very little going out here guys. Like, Iβve gone to the grocery a couple times and done curbside pick up and what not. And I do everything Iβm supposed to.
Asian Boss did a follow up with the Doctor that they had on last time. I just like watching this doctor speak, lol. And yes hopefully better news for the next interview, lol.

Not quite Alaska. Okay, this is more of a mountain man book but I was just re-reading the good parts π of C.M. Owensβ Wilder (Wild Ones #3) yesterday to cheer myself up. Piper & Kaiβs first dateβ¦
Piper to her sister: β βBut who smokes pot on a first date while skinning a deer?ββ¦
Kai walks in, winks at me, and sucks on the bluntβI think itβs called a blunt anywayβ¦
βAre you smoking weed?β I ask Kaiβ¦βSorry,β he says as he pulls it from his mouth and wipes off the end. βWas I supposed to let you hit it first?β β
Happy Friday!
I have a book series recommendation that I havenβt seen mentioned yet. (Sorry if you do already know about it) Series name is βJacky Leonβ by K N Banet (Kristen Banet) and Iβve found it very fun. Itβs a little darker, urban paranormal and has an interesting concept that I havenβt read about before, which is rare because I love to read all the paranormal lol. Book #4 came out this week and it is available on KU.
Thanks for the suggestion…it’s on TBR list!
I just made my very first trip out of the house in more than three weeks. I ordered a grill for my husband’s birthday online, and when we got it it’s just too darn big. He tried to take it back himself today, but they required me to be there since it was my card I used to purchase it. So, I got to go to Home Depot. I’m still amazed at all the people that are out there and who can’t figure out what six feet of distance means. I only had to use the death glare twice, and ask someone to politely move away once. I feel extremely guilty even going out as it isn’t life or death to get the stupid grill returned, but when the husband gets something in his brain!!! They are talking about slowly moving things back to normal here also, but a lot will depend on what testing is available. Those at high risk remain home. Those who test negative can begin to go back to work. Bars and schools remain closed. Restaurants can open – groups of no more than 50 people. Then, if no significant backslides, they will allow bars/schools to open and on and on until we are all back. I personally think it’s going to be a long time before anyone is going to feel comfortable being in crowds at all, and we probably won’t get back to life as we once knew it. I’m ready to get the heck out there and live life again! Maybe!!!
When I went to the store the other day there was this guy who just seemed to be willfully ignoring all the social distancing protocols.
And even if you are someone that believes it has been blown out of proportion or whatever, still respect others fear.
Agreed Bev! I think there are some people who either just don’t get it ….or just don’t care and it’s really frustrating.
Yeah it is frustrating, isn’t it? I had to call in at the doctors to pick up a repeat prescription a couple of days ago. It was like getting into Fort Knox to go inside, which was good that they are following precautions. But while I waited at a safe distance behind a woman in front of me, I watched her blatantly ignore a large sign right beside her saying Please do not lean on the counter. She leaned on the counter, picked up a couple of display things that were sitting on the counter and put them down again, put her bag and keys on the counter, just plainly didn’t care and ignored the sign, spreading her germs everywhere. Made me so mad!
My daughter works at Hone Depot and since she is a supervisor she is required to put in a lot of hours during all this. She said that a lady came up to her and asked if she had the virus since she was wearing a mask and my daughter said no that she was wearing it because of customers like you who are standing one foot away from me. The lady had a shopping cart full of flowers and my daughter said to me later that was not an essential purchase. They have a limit of 100 people in the store at a time because families were coming and bringing their kids and letting them run around. Many people are wanting bags of mulch and soil etc and she doesnβt have the manpower to load all this stuff for customers. A lot of workers are at home. Customers get really mad at her and walk off. Itβs kind of a mess.
I just know that any day she is going to test positive.
Home Depot is a crazy place even not during a pandemic. But right now with so many people home and bored EVERYONE wants to do yardwork and home improvements. Ugh! I feel so nervous for all these retail workers. They are in such close contact with public. I had to go to HD last monday because my kitchen light burnt out. It was 1:00 pm and it was so crazy there was line waiting to get in store!! Luckily hubs ordered online what I needed and I only had to go to lobby to pickup lockers. It looked like a giant cootie-fest in there and I couldn’t wait to get out. Julie, I hope your daughter stays safe. π
If she had the virus?
*head desk*
I hope it is and feels safe again soon.
Hubs works at Lowe’s online fulfillment center and he said they’re busier than they’ve ever been, both IN the stores and online. They’re hiring and also paying an extra $2/hour temporarily (at his facility).
I finally picked up the newest Mercy Thompson book (Patricia Briggs). It’s called Smoke Bitten and is book 12 LOL. I had it preordered and it arrived on my kindle the day it came out, about a month ago. But for some reason I didn’t read it right away. *shrugs* Don’t know why. Anyways, I finally started it last night and so far I’m really hooked. Classic Mercy, and some of the characters from recent books play a role.
If you haven’t read any of the series, I wouldn’t start here though. Go right back to #1. It’s a consistently good pnr/urban fantasy series. I also love Briggs’ other series Alpha and Omega too.
BTW, bev, Bran has been mentioned in the new book but only in passing. (So far….) I know how much you love Bran. I do too, actually π
*goes to make fresh coffee and continue reading Smoke Bitten*
I started this whole lock down with Mercy and Co.
I really do need to get back to Charles and Anna’s series if for nothing more than seeing Bran more often. Plus, I’ve heard it is more romantic.
Bran NEEDS his own story. I know he had a great love with Charles ‘s mom, but I need him to have one now, lol.
Yeah, I could stand to see a little more of Bran π He so ancient that I wonder who/how a new romance element for him might look like. Interesting.
*waves hello from safe distance and sends air hugs* I’ve been lurking the last few weeks but am here in background wishing everyone well. π₯° You would think that this “stay at home” thing would afford me MORE reading time but instead I feel extra busy & anxious and am super slow with finishing any books. π Here in Massachusetts we are actually in a surge so its inconceivable to me that it’s safe for places to open up again. I know things will eventually get better but man this is scary stuff.
Oh, and get this!!! We are having a snowstorm today. What the heck??
That is what is so surprising to me about thinking of opening up it that certain places are still overrun with cases.
You know a snowstorm might not be a bad thing. If one thing keeps people in it is snow, lol.
I am like you Leslie. I feel extra busy and anxious. *waves back* I think the extra busy is because I am anxious. I have to keep my mind busy. I’ve been tackling home projects along with working. With work we are seeing some +Covid patients. Luckily for me, I don’t see patients in facilities or hospitals where they are, for now. I only see patients in their homes, but still there’s a chance that they or their family are + and we don’t know it, yet. Feels like I’m gowning up for surgery when I do my visit, with all my ppe on.
I finished painting the living room and now just took down the wallpaper in the foyer and stairwell. Plan to clean up the walls and paint the trim today. I ordered wallpaper for the foyer which is supposed to arrive today.
I did finish Dear Enemy. It was a SLOW burn, enemies to lovers story. Enjoyed it. I wanted to read a book that I read the blurb on recently, I thought here but can’t seem to find it. I think it is a new release. What I remember is the h catches her movie star hub having an affair with his costar, and then, this part I can’t remember exactly, if she moves on with a fling with someone else famous, sports, singer. It’s totally bugging me that I can’t find it. Maybe it sounds familiar to someone else?? π
Cheryl, you must have a beautiful house as it seems like you are always painting! π I havent done a single thing to my house or yard. I cant keep up with the laundry and dishes. π€ͺ
What really scares me about the virus is all these asymptomatic peeps. They tested residents at homeless shelter in boston this week. There were something like 136 positive results and every single one of them did not have symptoms?!? So how many peeps are like this in general population?
Leslie, it’s an addiction. Now don’t get me started on laundry and dishes… LOL
Doesn’t quite fit – she doesn’t move with fling – but might it be Method by Kate Stewart? Good read.
Mony, I read that one and it’s not it. Thank you! I’m not certain about the fling. Just the first part about h catching movie star hubby having an affair with his costar. Ugh…
I’m reading Hollywood romance almost exclusively right now and it doesn’t ring a bell. If you haven’t figured it out by the time I get home from our grocery run I’ll ask in my group.
She might like the one you had been talking about Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy by Max Monroe – so good.
Mony, read that one too. π
My goodness…I think I could use a Hollywood list from you! Hey, if you’d like to do that, it would be great. But no guilt if it doesn’t… lol
I’ll put one together. Chances are you’ve probably read them. π
Ooh…that would be great! I think I’ve only read about 6-7 so far…
Thanks R. At this point I think I dreamed it!!! Lol!!
Good luck on your grocery run. Stay safe!!
Thanks! I do curbside for everything but man, the parking lot was packed! You couldn’t pay me to go inside!
I saw some story from somewhere in the here about more cases popping up in an area where people were having small gatherings. Like the 10 and under, from Easter, Birthdays, and such.
Then you see people protesting that it is time to go back.
I just posted. I’ll let you know if anyone’s familiar with it!
Think I found it! The Hating Season by K.A. Linde? One of my readers is reading an ARC of it right now. It releases on the 28th.
OMG THAT’S IT!!! No wonder I couldn’t find it again, since it hasn’t released again. I must have gotten seen a pre-release for it. Thank you so much. That was bugging the sh!t out of me.
It was an email from the author. Mystery solved. Thanks again!
You’re welcome!
I put this in my lengthy comment below but since it is absolutely driving me crazy thought I would repeat it by itself. I have wasted so much time searching here and thru my laptop history. Totally driving me crazy to the point I think I may have dreamed this. Lol!!
I wanted to read a book that I read the blurb on recently, I thought it was here but canβt seem to find it. I think it is a new release. What I remember is the h catches her movie star hub having an affair with his costar, and then, this part I canβt remember exactly, if she moves on with a fling with someone else famous, sports, singer. Itβs totally bugging me that I canβt find it. Maybe it sounds familiar to someone else??
Iβm searching for a lightweight sweatshirt online so my Mom can embroider me one that says, Donβt Stand So Close To Me (please) with a little police car on it. Made me smile and sing along.
Also, Iβm gonna say it bc I feel like the superstition thing is getting sillier and maybe committing things positively aloud and making the choice to keep them that way, will put them into motion in the universe. I will remind myself of this often and need reinforcement, Iβm sure. But…..weβve got ourselves a puppy. It was unplanned, again, because I researched the crap out of this breed and set my head on it. Still wanted to wait 5-10 years, but every breeder I found locally cost no less than 3000. So, I thought weβd have to save for years, cuz who wants to spend that much a dog? And then, bam! There was 1 at a local place, Iβve never seen the breed here yet, and it was a way huge discount from what Iβd seen so I snatched him up quick. Itβs been hard work, will still be for a long time, but betterish on my stress levels with hubs to help for a few weeks at least.
Have you checked your local Michael’s or Joann fabric stores? They have curbside pickup and online ordering. Good luck with the puppy. Several neighbors have gotten puppies; seems like a good time to get one.
Yes and no. Socialization is important early on. Iβve been worried about getting him proper socialization since we canβt socialize. π
Iβll check those stores online, thanks!
Well, maybe by the time he has all his immunizations he will be able to meet some friends.
I think next week is his last. Still canβt get close to anyone to pet him or talk to him. Or come to his home so heβs not territorial.
Weβre not super social anyway, but with kids and kids friends and such, someday, I want that early socialization. With people too, not just other animals.
What breed did you get?
Mini bernedoodle
I guess a lot of people have been fostering animals from the shelters, so cool.
Way to go Tasha..what a fantastic thing for all of you! Very cool!
Thanks! His name is Goose. He already knows it, cuz I name the animals what they like. π Things are going ok this time around. My old man isnβt as angry (14yr old puggle) so I take that as a sign. There is a lot to work on yet, I need to learn how to train him so looking into that, but enjoying him as well as thinking Iβm a glutton for punishment.
J calls him Goo. Itβs the sweetest. Lol
Love the name Goose! It’s perfect.
Tasha, this is a funny story. My sister is a pharmacist and before Covid 19 was social distancing regulated. She had researched the disease and decided that social distancing was the way to go. So she made a home made badge and pined it to her uniform. Only it wasnβt large enough and customers kept coming closer and saying βso sorry I canβt read your badgeβ so anyway the govt changed the regs and made it mandatory,
but I thought it was hilarious. π€£π€£
LOL!! I had better tell my Mom to make those letters big enough. Haha
Alrightee Bev…I’ve started my Sunday book + music day. I’ll be doing this even if others aren’t in that space…so no guilt. Imagine by Lennon, Don’t Dream It’s Over by Crowded House, Into the Mystic by Morrison and A Day in The Life by Beatles. Much better headspace for reading now…who knew? I’m having trouble pinpointing my book though. After a great run, nothing seems do the trick. Looking at Inconsolable by Ainslie Paton. We’ll see. May need to put it out there to see if anyone has any ideas for me.
oops…meant In “In My Life” by Beatles (Not A day in the life)
I love love love the Beatles. Lennon’s voice is one of my favorites ever. It can give me chills sometimes.
Lol, you shocked me for a moment Mony. I thought I lost a day again. I keep losing track of what day it is.
But yes, I still want to do it.
Sunday Read a Day for anyone who wants to join.
Just staying away from the news and other types of media that is making my attention span go in a hundred different directions.
Put on some music and open up that book.
Share what you are listening to or about your book.
OMG…I am loooooosing my mind…said a la computer Hal. Oh well, looks like I’m going to be making it a weekend project. π
Hey Bev, I’m back to book + music. Honestly, it’s more about music so far & it’s a find – so relaxing. I think I had cut it out & listened to news like there was a war on. So listened to a few faves – some grunge and hard rock – yup – last winter I explored new music cause I missed stuff when I was raising kids & listening to Lois & Bram.
So far I’m listening to stuff like…smells like teen spirit by nirvana, black by pearl jam, clutch, billie elish, wakin on a pretty daze by kurt vile, helpless by neil young, hallelujah by pentatonics, losing my religion by rem. Still exploring more through day. Feels good to talk about music…thanks for listening. π
On the books front, I’m struggling. Nothing seems right. I’ve come off a run of You Deserve Each Other, Just a Moment, surfer books…nice easy vibe. I’m gonna try Star Crossed by C.D. Reiss next…If anyone has any recommendations I’d love to hear them!
I love the live version of Helpless from The Last Waltz.
Hallelujah is one of those amazing songs that has almost been done too many times. When I heard it at the end of one of the Shrek movies years ago I was like….whoa….lol.
But Jeff Buckley’s singing on that song is almost too beautiful. It hurts.
agree..I like the Jeff Buckley version too
Our stay at home order was just extended to May 26th in Wisconsin the other day. Iβm pretty fortunate in that my routine has pretty much stayed the exact same. (With a few minor adjustments at work). On my days off I stay on the couch, read and take a nap and tell my boyfriend that Iβm saving the world.
Iβve gotten a lot of thank you notes and people have left hand sanitizer for me and little care packages in their mailboxes. I feel like Iβm just doing my job, but people are grateful for it and Iβm happy to get out of my house and away from my pantry.
For the most part people have been pretty good about social distancing but there are some that just do. not. get it. The other day I had a certified letter for someone in one of the apartments I deliver to – (this guy comes out everyday and normally itβs fine but his door is 2 feet from the mailboxes) I told him Iβd be signing for it for him since I was giving it to him (and reiterated social distancing) so he goes back into his apartment and comes out with a pen and heβs like βI can sign itβ I told him no, that I was signing for it for safety reasons, to which he responded βBut Iβm not sick. I know my body pretty well and I know Iβm not sick.β I told him that he could have it for a few days before even showing symptoms. He was adamant that he couldnβt have it…this whole conversation took place with him right next to me which is why I wore gloves and a mask because there are those who just do not respect social distancing. (π³)
Okay, I re-listened to βThe Hardest Fallβ by Ella Maise. Love it. My favorite part is where her horde of peanut butter m&mβs is discovered and her reasoning for it is one of the most relatable reasons ever. I reread βSo, That Got Weirdβ by Amelia Kingston and that was a fun time – it has the same vibe as Elle Kennedy or Maya Hughesβ books (which Iβm a huge fan of). And Iβm also re-listening to βShooterβ by Dahlia West….which makes me want to revisit βPreacherβ by Dahlia West.
I spent the day yesterday learning to container garden… and today!!! I GARDEN!!!! π
I planted butternut squash seeds last week just for fun and they are ALL turning into full on plan to with the pretty ridgy leaves and everything and that set my bug to garden on fire!!!!
And also, now I have to figure out where to plant all these baby squashlings.
That’s awesome Maryse. I dont feel motivated to be out at all in the yard right now. But I never do.
But I also have really close neighbors that are always outside. Really close neighbors.
Oh and today I make chicken noodle soup in the crockpot (not real noodles of course, but Fettucini shaped Shiritake noodles – all cut up into proper lengths) AND salt and vinegar chicken wings.
I feel so much creative energy today!! π
Maryse–that sounds wonderful!
We’re grilling Italian sausages and hamburgers when son #1 gets home from work this afternoon. He says that business is booming at the pub he works for with just online ordering. His tips went down the first week, but this week, they’ve been equal or more than when they allowed people to dine in. He made $180 two of the days he worked this week! That’s darn good tips for a small country town in Tennessee.
Way to go! Ah, creative energy – the last frontier these days it would seem (star trek talk). Good on you to make a soup…always loved making soups on Sundays. Maybe a banana or zucchini bread too…
My house oddly smelled like banana bread this evening. Made me crave it bad. I had all the stuff for the recipe I wanted to try a couple weeks ago, but I got unmotivated. And now Iβm extra unmotivated to cook. Back to basics this week for me. We had turkey burgers tonight, spaghetti a couple days ago, tacos tomorrow, a roast in there as well. I think itβs cuz Iβve got a newborn (puppy) now and figuring out a routine and such still.
Ok. My Sunday read day.
I havent decided between 2 books yet and it will be mixed with some house work, music, and podcasts. But no searching the internet or dramas until tonight.
I feel so unmotivated and I think from my dog I have two patches of poison oak, one on each arm.
Anyway to start my day on a bright note, I’ve been loving this:
https://youtu.be/ST8O-AeY3Uo
Ok, decided on a book and I’m keeping up to it. From my 3 book tbr list I made.
First couple of lines Sunday (lol):
Imagine youβre a bird. You can be any kind of bird, but those of you whoβve chosen ostrich or chicken are going to struggle to keep up.
—The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
Song: Coyote -Joni Mitchell with The Band
I love The Last Waltz and watch it every summer with fam. The Weight is an all time favourite. My husband reminded that Joni does some light harmonies for Helpless behind a curtain. Love Joni & that music from all those musicians – in fact so much, I seem to be stuck on it. Kids help out. π
LOVE your video – my first Korean video, in fact song! Send more if you’re in mood. On a quest these days to find new music outside north america. Oh no, poison oak..I’m sending you virtual cortisones cream…did you get it? Once had to sit in a meeting with poison ivy all over my face. seared in my mind. π
Good luck with your book! off to read mine.
I’ve heard great things about that book bev! I’m dying to read but I promised the hubs ribs.
Your opening lines are food for thought…not so much mine…
My butt hurt. My feet were fine, even in heels, and my shoulder didnβt ache, even with the twenty-pound camera bag slung over it. But my ass, which leaned against a railing not meant for leaning, throbbed like a dance floor.
Star Crossed by C.D. Reiss
I’ll play cos I like reading first lines of peep’s books they’re reading. My book is an old historical romance from the early 90s, which I used to love, but am now a bit scared I might ruin the memories with a 2020 reread. Naive innocent debutante meets hot super-alpha, then the miscommunications begin. Bee-archy ‘friends’ set them up. What will happen????? Eek! And it’s 500+ pages. Eek!
First line: ‘Fifteen servants wearing the traditional blue and silver livery of the Earl of Cameron left Havenhurst at dawn on the same day.’
from Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught.
Has anyone else got a first line they want to share?
bev, yours made me smile. I haven’t come across that book before.
My 425+ page book that I’ve been reading (and am about to be finished in 5%) is ending in farfetchedness which is normally absolutely fine as long as it’s clever but I’ve been played but not in a clever way. Grrrr!
Silly.
Finished,
everyone in my book was a psycho/super-psycho in various ways, and it’s up to us to guess the worst of the worse. Barely a redeeming character because despite what is redeeming, the bad is really bad.
Nope nope nope.
*sigh* π
Wait, is this the Amazon first 1??
Mine is short, βI have a fatal flaw.β Beach Read by Emily Henry.
Yep… I wish I had chosen yours.
This line made me laugh:
“but she left high school without ever truly getting the point of dads. They were a nice bonus, like a pool, or a cute dog, or a natural predisposition to clear skin.”
And this was the song playing. Maryse when you come in from outside you might like this MV. It is all cutesy horror……if that is a thing, lol.

Oops! I was gardening and cooking, so now time to finish my book.
BTW… I made the salt and vinegar chicken wings and they are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! Marinated them first, air-fried them and they are so golden and crispy… then sprinkled them with salt and vinegar powder and OMG I LOVE THEM MORE THAN ANY OTHER CHICKEN WINGS IN THE WORLD!!!!!
P.S. THANK YOU BEV!!!
Salt and vinegar or dill pickle is my favorite flavor for anything and I had NO idea salt and vinegar wings existed. These will be a REGULAR snack in my house.
Your welcome, lol.
I need to think about getting an air fryer .
Just finished my book. Star Crossed by Reiss was just ok. Her writing is fantastic, characters well developed but for me, was looking for more chemistry between between h& H. However I read some reviews and seems I’m the odd one out on this one… will start one more book before lights out.
Now I need to choose my next one… my latest read was not too thrilling by the time I hit the end.
I have three tools I use weekly without fail (and I say weekly because I meal prep for the week, during weekends).
Crock Pot, Instant Pot and my Air Fryer. EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND ALL weekend, these three are going strong!
That sounds so yum. My mouth is watering.
Good line…crazy video lol
Hrmmm… cutesy horror, huh? Sounds intriguing!!!
Started reading Falling For The Stars because the blurb sounded good, but just nope. So now I’m trying One Moment Please:
“Holy dip on a carrot, I did it!” We’ll see…
Cheryl, loved that new book…good luck!
