CowSex by Lesley Jones <— TEE HEE!!! Yes… we’re giggling over the title, but also hearing this has a KA feel!!! 😀
Debbie: You have to read CowSex by Lesley Jones. Regardless of the title, I promise no bovines were hurt in the book. It starts off similar to Kristen Ashley’s Book, The Gamble, but it is funny and sweet. …It was what ended my reading rut.**blushes** Pardon the pun. It is NOT about beastiality,and I loathe to admit I read a book with such a terrible title, but I needed something funny after watching the news. The magic doesn’t begin until she gets to America. The title is explained. I’ll give it 4 to 4.5 stars because I thought it was rushed in a couple of places.
MichelleS: I’m afraid to put “Cowsex” into any search engine or even Amazon! GAH! You must give me some more details…. I can’t believe you were brave enough to read a book with that title. LOL.

Debbie: I know you may have some…reservations…kinky thoughts….weird vibes about a book with that title, there is a funny explanation. It is similar to KA’s The Gamble. Gracie comes to Colorado for a long vacation, not realizing that her rental should have been cancelled, but that is really the only similarity. This book is warm, funny, and sexy. It’s about two complete strangers who meet from different worlds and just click. I wish I could meet these characters in real life. The story seems effortless and has to be one of my favorite reads this year. … Lol! I think I liked Cowsex because it fits in with all of the Hallmark movies I’ve been watching. I needed something light and different from the usual tropes.

Kate: I read it because of all the hype and was very Meh about it. The last chapter had a few pages that I related with, but for the most part it wasn’t my cup of tea.
Megan: I loved it!!! If you don’t find her story relatable then I could see why some people wouldn’t like it though.
Kate: It’s a quick read for sure, so worth it just to check it out and see what the hype is about.

Patty: Here goes my first ever post on this fabulous website that has been my go to place for book recommendations. I love this list! My number one all time favorite book of all time (Did I say that already?) has to be Beast, by Pepper Pace. It’s a “beauty and the beast” type of story with a Heroine who is on her own journey towards health, and a hero, Beast, who helps her on her journey. I’ve read and listened to this book countless times.

Robyn: I need you to know about my latest read. A Charm of Finches by Suanne Lacquer. You need to give this book more attention Girl! It is the second book in the series. An Exaltation of Larks (Venery Book 1) was first. ACOF could be read as a standalone but you will be missing out if you don’t read AEL first. Anywhoos, this book….gah….first off I’m not a real M/M fan unless the words are written exquisitely. A real heartfelt, deep moving story with substance. This book had it all. Man Suanne Lacquer can write! I felt I lived every moment with her characters. I want to meet them after reading all her books and say, message received, give me a hug and live the best You. Can I be your friend? ACOF deals with a topic I really knew nothing about…male rape. This is a must read, it’s so empowering.Thanks for letting me decompress on you. LOL. It was a great book as are all SL’s books. The only other M/M book I’ve read up there with this one is Wolfsong by TL Klune.

Kooloo: I’m listen to Memory Man by David Baldacci it’s about a former footballer that takes a hit and comes back from the dead with Hyperthymesia aka perfect memory recall… then becomes the perfect detective who looses all family violently… then gets called back to duty as a consultant on a high school mass murder… its all very uplifting KIDDING. You don’t even wanna know about the funk in my mouth this am…I couldn’t get comfortable and today is no better. Ugh!! Brave was good. It kind of ended the series, but there is obviously going to be a spin-off. Well, there’s already a novella coming out hopefully, a back story. I want Tink’s story! It might end up being M/M but I want his story! He’s my favorite of the whole series.

I also read two books this week that I was so invested and in love with it. Have you already read Wrecking Ball and Sledgehammer by P. Dangelico?! If you had’t, I think you’d like it. My God the slow burn and the buit up of those books are just amazing. Actually Wrecking Ball kind of reminded me of The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata. I love it! Couldn’t put them down for a minute!
Ok, weird New Years resolution but I want to start feeling better about myself and if I start doing my nails (myself, cant afford salon upkeep) that will be a boost. Sooooo, any of you makeup experts, what products can you recommend to strengthen nails, keep cuticles good, fast dry/easy apply polish, etc.?

I rarely do my nails but love polish. It does chip all the time on me. I know Amy and Michelle rec’d Seche Vite for a top coat and it worked really well….the one time I used it.
I like the Essie colors but find the formulas hard for me to use as a novice/couple times a year nail polish wearer. I have 2 A-england shades because I always like looking at them and finally splurged. The colors are just as pretty irl.
I’ve seen lit inspired indie brands and always want to for the fun but haven’t yet.
This is making me want to paint my nails, lol.
I want to see how much money I can save and pounds I can lose in 2018.

Carla I really liked Wrecking Ball too, although I was a little disappointed in Sledgehammer and couldn’t get into it as much. Yep Wrecking Ball was like Wall of Winnipeg, wasn’t it? But luckily different enough too that it didn’t just feel like a copy.
Sadly I just couldn’t really get into Roomies that much, although I FLOVED the Beautiful series. Glad you enjoyed it though.

Alright, sorry, Grey. I ended up reading Treacherous. It wasn’t a bully book like I was expecting. I really enjoyed it, but it was more of a Hate to Love book (which I adore too, just not as much).
Now, I have a ton of books that I can read next and I’m overwhelmed because I want to read them all!
Leslie, I get my nails done. Not false nails but just painted. In Australia there’s a product called S and S anyway it strengthens your nails and it doesn’t chip, but you have to get them redone as it grows out. It’s fantastic
At the moment they are red with silver sprinkles on the end, for Xmas.
Have a try just for Xmas. I love it.

So, Seche Vite is a good product…gonna check it out. I love the Essie colors but never used. I def need user friendly, non-streaking, fast dry.

Leslie I use the Seche Vite- works great at fast drying any polish. I find the lighter nail polish colors are more novice friendly. Sally Hansen has some inexpensive Hard as Nail, dry quick products that I have also used.

Guys, I promise, if you use nose spray the very second you feel a cold coming on, it wards it off. My favorite is Vicks Sinex, but I’ve used many different ones, and they all seem to work. I haven’t had a cold in over 7 yrs. Doesn’t work so much AFTER you get a cold though.
I do I use the salt water ones when I have a cold. I do think it helps it end sooner, plus it helps with congestion.

Thank you all for you advice and cuddle for my awful cold! I touched it out o’ natural this time, but for a few days there it was brutal! Feeling a little better today, just tired. Of course, that could be Bc of all the Christmases I’ve had to attend and what not. Holidays are exhausting!

Anyone around? I’m going to hubby brag so if you want to skip reading about it, do so now. 😉 I’ve been off the grid the last three days…like, TOTALLY off the grid. Why? Hubby kidnapped me for a surprise three-day getaway to Seattle ending with tickets to the Seahawks vs. Rams game! Okay, they sucked today but it was still FUN!!! And the deal was no checking emails or social media or going online for pretty much anything. We SO needed that time together.

NAIL POLISH TALK!!!! My favorite brands are OPI, China Glaze (for the collections, not necessarily the quality), and Butter London. I just recently found these drops that you put on after your top coat, and your polish will dry within a couple of minutes. It’s insane! I’ll have to pull it out and check the brand…

Amy, the surprise trip sounded awesome! Back before we were parents, I did surprise Florida vacation for hubs. I am trying to save now for surprise family vacay for my sons graduation in 2019. Maybe Paradise Island?
For the nail thing I def need long lasting, quick dry and streak free/easy application. I will be going for lighter colors to start as I cant deal with chips. Chips are less offensive with light color.
I too love scary movies (at theater though, not to watch at home) but would never read scary book. However, IT was totally lame.

Grey, you are my hero! Hee hee. I have NOTHING wrapped and I am not even done shopping. I did get christmas cards done. Made my son go to park in freezing cold on Saturday to take pics. Made card on computer, sent to walgreens then yesterday he helped me address, stuff & seal 50 cards. *deep sigh of relief*
I was just thinking I can’t do the Alexa or Smart tv’s. It freaks me out enough that my phone knows where I am and asks me to leave a review or picture.

Ladies…you know that train derailment on the news, from here in Washington? I passed under that overpass less than 5 minutes before it happened. Thank goodness I left early (for once). Those poor people. Makes me appreciate everything that much more.
