HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! Today’s list is FULLY loaded (30 of ‘em!!) with plenty of tried-and-true reader recommendations for us (one, below, has a title that had us shocked eek and giggling, lol but supposedly it’s really good!!!), some new releases and some super bargains!

P.S. I’ll add more as we find ‘em. ;)

P.P.S. If you’re still in Christmas shopping mode, Amazon assures us there’s still plenty of time to order and get what you need, shipped on time! I AM still in shopping mode, and so this makes me happy. ;) *phew* And also, the KINDLE UNLIMITED” subscription is still on sale right now! :D !!!!

  • What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) by Lani Lynn Vale <— LANI LYNN VALE’S LATEST IS LIVE!! This one sounds SO goooood! He towed her car, and made her cry… and then he felt bad and comforted her…  *sigh* “...She’s wanted him since he patted her back and told her it was okay to cry even though she knew he was lying. Nothing ever goes right for Lark. Not when she got married. Not when she tried to leave her abusive husband, and not when she arrived in a new town with a fresh, clean slate…”
  • Room Mates (The Series) by Kendall Ryan <— KENDALL RYAN SERIES BUNDLE SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! And I. Mean. SUPERBARGAIN!!! “Get ready for 4 complete friends-to-lovers rom-com standalones.”
Ashley: The House Mate by Kendall Ryan, another one that I really enjoyed…
Katherine: “I really, really liked this entire series. I think that there is the perfect amount of “angst” – no ugly cry, but enough to feel for the characters. And of course, there is good sexy fun to be had in these books.”
  • CowSex by Lesley Jones <— TEE HEE!!! Yes… we’re giggling over the title, but also hearing this has a KA feel!!! :D

Debbie: You have to read CowSex by Lesley Jones. Regardless of the title, I promise no bovines were hurt in the book. It starts off similar to Kristen Ashley’s Book, The Gamble, but it is funny and sweet. …It was what ended my reading rut.**blushes** Pardon the pun. It is NOT about beastiality, and I loathe to admit I read a book with such a terrible title, but I needed something funny after watching the news. The magic doesn’t begin until she gets to America. The title is explained. I’ll give it 4 to 4.5 stars because I thought it was rushed in a couple of places.

MichelleS: I’m afraid to put “Cowsex” into any search engine or even Amazon! GAH! You must give me some more details…. I can’t believe you were brave enough to read a book with that title. LOL.

Amy: 8-O Try Cowsex?!? Debbie wins the comment of the day!! Bahahahahaha!!!!!

Nay: So I’m going to ask my new ‘most important question’–Is Cowsex dual POV?

Maryse: Oh I’m with Nay!!! POV? I’d rather it be just from one cow. Especially the “she” cow. ;)

Grey: Probably the funniest question taken out of context ever… “Is Cowsex dual POV?” *bwahahaha*

Debbie: I know you may have some…reservations…kinky thoughts….weird vibes about a book with that title, there is a funny explanation. It is similar to KA’s The Gamble. Gracie comes to Colorado for a long vacation, not realizing that her rental should have been cancelled, but that is really the only similarity. This book is warm, funny, and sexy. It’s about two complete strangers who meet from different worlds and just click. I wish I could meet these characters in real life. The story seems effortless and has to be one of my favorite reads this year. … Lol! I think I liked Cowsex because it fits in with all of the Hallmark movies I’ve been watching. I needed something light and different from the usual tropes.

Kandace: I just downloaded Cowsex. I passed earlier on it because of the title.

  • Red Hot Christmas by K. Larsen & Mara White <— A CHRISTMAS TREAT JUST WENT LIVE FOR US!!!!! Mara White and K. Larsen’s latest, and it’s super-bargain priced!! She’s a high powered executive and he’s a sexy janitor that’s getting famous on social media… and then she gets locked in the basement. ;) “…She’s a tightly wound, high-powered executive and he’s a janitor in the maintenance department. Amber is busy planning the Christmas party for her firm, while Frankie’s muscles are quickly earning him Internet stardom. On Christmas Eve, the temperature skyrockets, leading Amber to investigate the problem. Restricted access elevators leave her locked in the basement with nothing but a bottle of Fireball and a plastic cup full of red hots...”
  • Kairos by Mary Calmes <— M/M ROMANCE
  • Vampires in America: The Vignettes – Volume 2 by D.B. Reynolds
  • Christmas Forever (The Inn at Sunset Harbor—Book 8) by Sophie Love
  • Team Player: A Sports Romance Anthology by Adriana Locke, Charleigh Rose,‎ Ella Fox,‎ Emma Scott,‎ Kate Stewart,‎ Kennedy Ryan,‎ L.J. Shen,‎ Mandi Beck,‎ Meghan Quinn,‎ Sara Ney <—- HOLY MOLY AUTHOR AWESOMENESS ALERT!!!!!!! “The good news? Eleven bestselling authors have gathered to give you a set of stories focused on the men we love most—sports heroes. We bet you’ll love this thick…book. The bad news? The men in these novellas don’t actually exist…” <— LOL!!! :P BRATS!!!
R: For anyone waiting for Team Player, it just went live!
  • The Heart That Breaks by Inglath Cooper <— LIVE!! SHE WANTS TO MOVE TO NASHVILLE… but “…when up and coming songwriter Nathan Hanson strikes up a conversation with her in their senior Lit class one afternoon, Ann-Elizabeth knows full well the foolishness of adding something else to her life that she will never be able to keep…
  • It Must’ve Been the Mistletoe by L.P. Dover <— LIVE!! TIME TRAVEL CHRISTMAS LOVE STORY??!! “…A week before Christmas, Adeline is all set for her best friend’s wedding, even though she dreads having to go to it alone. But when she’s given a Christmas wish that could change her future forever, she’s whisked away to the past, to a completely different place and time. It’s also when she meets him, William Blair, the man who steals her heart…”
  • Her First Kiss: Londons story (Firsts series Book 1) by MJ Fields <— LIVE!!! THEY’VE HAD A TUMULTUOUS CONNECTION ALL OF THEIR LIVES… “Having experienced a lifetime’s amount of loss and love under the spotlight of her stepfather and stepbrother’s rock and roll stardom, London Fields decides now is her time to shine. Leaving for college with a clear focus and big dreams around her musical theater major, she is ready to take on the world … under an assumed name. Protecting her identity will allow her the freedom to experience life and maybe love for the very first time…”
  • Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur <— #1 ON AMAZON RIGHT NOW!!! Soooo…. what’s the deal with this book? Has anyone read it yet? It’s all the rage ’cause it’s #1 on Amazon right now, and I keep seeing it mentioned. A book of poems? The cover and title haunt me… I’m curious!!

Kate: I read it because of all the hype and was very Meh about it. The last chapter had a few pages that I related with, but for the most part it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Megan: I loved it!!! If you don’t find her story relatable then I could see why some people wouldn’t like it though.

Kate: It’s a quick read for sure, so worth it just to check it out and see what the hype is about.

  • The Beast Within (Conversion Book 5) by S.C. Stephens <— LIVE!!! S.C. STEPHENS ALERT!!! Vampire family and I believe these have to be read in order. ;)
  • Never Again by <— LIVE!!! *WHOOPS* SHE’S WITH HER BOSS’S SON ALERT!!! “...Problems arise when the one Cora ‘gets under’ turns out to be the the son of the Director of Prosecution—her boss. Worse still, he’s young. Younger than Cora originally thought, and younger than she’s comfortable with…”
  • Lord of The Isles (Zebra Historical Romance) by Debbie Mazzuca <— TIME TRAVEL & HIGHLANDER ALERT!! MichelleS loves it!
MichelleS: …Lord of the Isles, by Debbie Mazzuca. Time travel & highlander = yippee! Loved it. Always a favorite reread for me. I’m now feeling in a nostalgic mood for a good Highland Romance.
MichelleS: Did you ever read Paula Quinn’s highlander novels? It starts with Laird if the Mist, and each story is a different couple, then the spinoff series is their kids! I adored these books!!! Best of the historicals for me!
Kandace: I read Collecting the Pieces by L A Fiore this week and I LOVED it. I couldn’t put it down. It had a little bit of everything I like in a book. I even cried a few times. I liked the h a lot. She was really strong and he… well, you’ll have to read it.
  • Strung by Victoria Ashley <— HER MUSICIAN DREAM MAN ALERT!!! JUST RELEASED A FEW DAYS AGO and today it’s super-bargain priced!! “...He’s a master at getting whatever he wants with little or no effort at all and I can’t help but to hope he wants me. Micah is cocky with a body that screams trouble with every rock-hard muscle. He’s wrong in every way and… I’m completely strung...”
  • Forever Christmas (The Forever Series Book 6) by Deanna Roy <— LIVE!! SOUNDS LIKE TEAR-JERKER SWEETNESS!!!! “…They tell mothers like me, a woman whose baby has died, that a new pregnancy will bring a rainbow baby. You know, the beauty after the storm. What they don’t say is how hard it’s going to be. How scary. How emotional. That at the lowest point, I will completely give up hope. I do have a saving grace. Several, in fact. Gavin...”
  • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid <— TAYLOR JENKINS REID SALE ALERT!!!!! This is her latest, much loved by many, and if you’ve been holding off due to the price, now’s your chance!!! (P.S. Here’s my review)

Grey: I’ve had 2 five stars this year, Mists of the Serengeti and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Both equally amazing in different ways.

R: best writing: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

Grey: Score one for me. I told R. she was going to love The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo… I know she worried and worried about it, but the writing was so freaking fabulous….

Leslie: The Seven Husbands book looks good despite it not being my usual thing. I am a bit nervous though as reviews said they cried..m TJR is typically a tearjerker. Hmmmm

Tasha: White Knights- it’s YA. I’ve read almost all of her Lexi Carmichael mystery series and thoroughly enjoyed those, so I’m looking forward to this too. Lexi is a geeky, socially awkward techy coder who has a great group of friends and a sexy, mysterious love interest, who always has a big, dangerous mystery to solve.
  • It’s Complicated (Awkward Love Book 1) by Missy Johnson <— LIVE!! HER NEIGHBOR CAUGHT HER “WATCHING” HIM… ;) Nick Jenson is my neighbor. My hot, oh-so-sexy, very-well-equipped neighbor that I’d spend hours watching from the safety of my bedroom window. I saw lots of things I probably shouldn’t have…”
  • Roomies by Christina Lauren <— CHRISTINA LAUREN RECENT RELEASE and now we have feedback! GAH!! I love the premise of this one!
Kandace: Roomies by Christina Lauren was great too. It was probably my fav book written by this duo. I’m a sucker for this trope.
  • BEAST by Pepper Pace <— A TAKE ON BEAUTY & THE BEAST ALERT!!! Patty recommends it!
Patty: Here goes my first ever post on this fabulous website that has been my go to place for book recommendations. I love this list! My number one all time favorite book of all time (Did I say that already?) has to be Beast, by Pepper Pace. It’s a “beauty and the beast” type of story with a Heroine who is on her own journey towards health, and a hero, Beast, who helps her on her journey. I’ve read and listened to this book countless times.
  • Full Tilt by Emma Scott <— TEAR-JERKER AWESOMENESS ALERT!! Teri just discovered one of our favorites!! :D

Teri: I know I’m changing the subject here but last night I finished reading FULL TILT and I have to admit I cried UGLY tears – ugly, sobbing, heart wrenching tears! I’m in recovery mode and trying to find my ‘happy’ place. Sigh

Maryse: YESSSS!!! Teri I LOVE that book SO HARD. Read the follow up. Just as amazing. <3

Robyn: I need you to know about my latest read. A Charm of Finches by Suanne Lacquer. You need to give this book more attention Girl! It is the second book in the series. An Exaltation of Larks (Venery Book 1) was first. ACOF could be read as a standalone but you will be missing out if you don’t read AEL first. Anywhoos, this book….gah….first off I’m not a real M/M fan unless the words are written exquisitely. A real heartfelt, deep moving story with substance. This book had it all. Man Suanne Lacquer can write! I felt I lived every moment with her characters. I want to meet them after reading all her books and say, message received, give me a hug and live the best You. Can I be your friend? ACOF deals with a topic I really knew nothing about…male rape. This is a must read, it’s so empowering. Thanks for letting me decompress on you. LOL. It was a great book as are all SL’s books. The only other M/M book I’ve read up there with this one is Wolfsong by TL Klune.

Cindy: I noticed that Left Drowning by Jessica Park is currently a Prime read and I would definitely recommend it to our fellow readers.

Neharika: I insist You have to read this book please

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>

  • AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!
  • Memory Man by David Baldacci <— Kooloo is listening to this one!

Kooloo: I’m listen to Memory Man by David Baldacci it’s about a former footballer that takes a hit and comes back from the dead with Hyperthymesia aka perfect memory recall… then becomes the perfect detective who looses all family violently… then gets called back to duty as a consultant on a high school mass murder… its all very uplifting KIDDING. But Baldacci knows how to write gritty thrillers and narrator voice is very befitting.

*glares at the tinsel*

I hate sleepless nights.

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 8:41 AM

4:50am again for me!!! Lucky I fall asleep early enough to at least make it a 5-hour sleep night. *sigh* I prefer at LEAST 6 hours. I LOVE 8. I don’t think I’ve ever had 8… ;)

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 8:42 AM

LOL bev!!

*wants to snuggle bev’s grumpy self*

Cheryl December 15, 2017 at 8:49 AM

No Sleep Till Brooklyn!

bev December 15, 2017 at 9:51 AM

Hey, Cheryl.

What you buying us?

Grey December 15, 2017 at 9:59 AM

I had 5 last night too. Gah, it’s rough. I haven’t wrapped a thing yet…

Tasha J December 15, 2017 at 10:17 AM

8:30 here, but it was a miserable night. My head pounded sooo bad and my nose was so clogged, yet runny at the same time. And I have to sleep w/my mouth open to breath, cotton mouth is an understatement. Even my eyes hurt! You don’t even wanna know about the funk in my mouth this am…I couldn’t get comfortable and today is no better. Ugh!! We have xmas parties all weekend and I don’t have anything wrapped for them, I don’t even know if I myself will go.

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 10:21 AM

Are we going to Brooklyn??!!

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 10:22 AM

*lysols Tasha*

Okay!! Now time to comfort-snuggle!! ;)

R. Renee December 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM

Good morning! (stayed up til 5 with the edits. kill me now). Maryse, I just emailed you my 2017 faves. Off to write, see you guys later! <3

Leslie M December 15, 2017 at 1:21 PM

Lots of shinies up there!!!

Kooloo December 15, 2017 at 2:03 PM

Tasha babe, I just PM’d you on GR with my Rx Cold Advise!

Tessa December 15, 2017 at 3:21 PM

*grins* So, I went to Target to get surger free peppermint mocha creamer (the bastages didn’t have it!) and they had their Christmas mugs on sale. I don’t need a mug. It’s been a long time since I even thought of needing a Christmas mug because I’ve got mugs. Then, I saw one that said “Snuggle” Season, and well…

I got a new mug.

Brave was good. It kind of ended the series, but there is obviously going to be a spin-off. Well, there’s already a novella coming out hopefully, a back story. I want Tink’s story! It might end up being M/M but I want his story! He’s my favorite of the whole series.

I gave in and finally just started Treacherous. I needed a good bully book! And this looks like one, so… GREY! TREACHEROUS!

bev December 15, 2017 at 3:45 PM

Ok. Watch the Fear box video and the Fallon take on the Peanuts as Riverdale.
And hello great tradition of reading all night while eating chocolate. That is a Merry Christmas.

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 5:11 PM

How can you resist a cute mug, Tessa?

Can one resist?

I think not.

Jan December 15, 2017 at 5:26 PM

Haha Tessa. I too have a weakness for cute mugs. My Christmas mugs collection is sadly lacking, though. I might just have to fix that little issue by doing a bit of shopping ;)

Tessa December 15, 2017 at 6:09 PM

Jan, you must have Christmas mugs. It is a must! I do have them but… Snuggle Season! And right Maryse? Especially since it holds a lot and was on clearance for $3 something!

bev December 15, 2017 at 6:23 PM

Makes me want to go buy one now, lol.

Jan December 15, 2017 at 6:26 PM

These look cute. You personalise them with the appropriate elf’s name. OMG when you start looking there’s a motherlode of cuteness out there.

MichelleS December 15, 2017 at 6:28 PM

I got a Christmas mug as a gift – plain white mug (yay) with a Christmas sweater! Too cute, but can be used after too!

I’m reading Ghosted. It must have been one I missed during my MIA witness protection time… ?? Pretty good so far.

MichelleS December 15, 2017 at 6:36 PM

I’m glancing over the list, and think to myself, “what are these old historicals doing on here?” And then I see it was ME who mentioned them. SNORT! Oldies but goodies…. LOL…. going to be sure to read all the small print from now on!

Maryse December 15, 2017 at 6:44 PM

I dig deep. ;)

bev December 15, 2017 at 7:17 PM

Into your soul.

Cheryl December 15, 2017 at 7:32 PM

It’s a surprise Bev!!

Tessa December 15, 2017 at 7:51 PM

Michelle, that book is so loved on here. I absolutely adored that one. *grins*

Bev, Target, something under four dollars. There were a ton of them, including some with ugly sweaters on them. Jan, though, can’t go to a Target because she’s in Australia so hers shall be a personalized elf. :)

bev December 15, 2017 at 10:56 PM

Don’t sleep at night and so now ready to go to bed before 8, lol.

Jan December 15, 2017 at 11:14 PM

We have Target here too. And I’m guessing they have Christmas mugs :)

Tessa December 16, 2017 at 12:06 AM

OOOH if they do they might have e them on clearance.

Leslie M December 16, 2017 at 12:15 AM

Weird, I was at walmart today and was eyeing some very cool star wars mugs. I even picked them up but had to put back because I literally have no more storage in my cabinets. Chewbacca yelled “Aaaaargh”. I love mugs. So sad…no new mugs for me.

Leslie M December 16, 2017 at 12:16 AM

Anyone see Star Wars yet? I wanted to go friday but we had party so we going Saturday.

Melinda December 16, 2017 at 1:42 AM

Tasha, you poor thing, you sound miserable.

Do you have a vaporiser, eucalyptus inhalant in it. Or a bowl with hot water and eucalyptus oil place your head over the top with towel over your head. Salt water nasal spray,
Someone once told me to put Vick’s on your feet with socks over the top. Never tried it might be worth a try. Eat chilli clears your head.

Whose reading something good?

I have 6 presents to go, yay me. 49 down. Wrapped most. You should see our Xmas tree.

Jan December 16, 2017 at 1:59 AM

We have Target but not Walmart.

I haven’t seen the new Star Wars yet but will definitely see it soon at the movies. I’m not waiting for TV or DVD for this one ;)

Carla December 16, 2017 at 7:52 AM

Great list, Maryse! Actually I just read Roomies by Christina Lauren and since the year is almost over, I think I can already say it was one of my favotires book of 2017. Its was breathtaking!

I also read two books this week that I was so invested and in love with it. Have you already read Wrecking Ball and Sledgehammer by P. Dangelico?! If you had’t, I think you’d like it. My God the slow burn and the buit up of those books are just amazing. Actually Wrecking Ball kind of reminded me of The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata. I love it! Couldn’t put them down for a minute!

Leslie M December 16, 2017 at 8:51 AM

Ok, weird New Years resolution but I want to start feeling better about myself and if I start doing my nails (myself, cant afford salon upkeep) that will be a boost. Sooooo, any of you makeup experts, what products can you recommend to strengthen nails, keep cuticles good, fast dry/easy apply polish, etc.?

bev December 16, 2017 at 10:31 AM

Good Morning.

That is not weird at all,Leslie.

I rarely do my nails but love polish. It does chip all the time on me. I know Amy and Michelle rec’d Seche Vite for a top coat and it worked really well….the one time I used it.
I like the Essie colors but find the formulas hard for me to use as a novice/couple times a year nail polish wearer. I have 2 A-england shades because I always like looking at them and finally splurged. The colors are just as pretty irl.
I’ve seen lit inspired indie brands and always want to for the fun but haven’t yet.
This is making me want to paint my nails, lol.
I want to see how much money I can save and pounds I can lose in 2018.

bev December 16, 2017 at 11:06 AM

Jan, you don’t want Walmart.

Grey December 16, 2017 at 11:07 AM

Same, Leslie & bev. I love having my nails pretty and polished… but mine is a time thing. I never have the time to devote to actually paint them and then to let them dry so they’ll set without smudging and then I have the chip problem too. *sigh*

bev, what’s an A-england shade?

Tessa, I’m in. I have to finish this book I started when I was up at 3am writing book reviews haha…but yes!

Today, basketball game… birthday party… then wrapping. No, really, I have to wrap. If any of you see me on social media after 830 or 9 tonight, kick me right square in the tush and tell me to get to the basement and start wrapping, I’m not kidding. It’s gonna be UGLY around here Christmas Eve if don’t get my butt in gear, LOL!

bev December 16, 2017 at 11:57 AM

It’s a brand of polish. I just like their colors.

Grey December 16, 2017 at 12:32 PM

OMG, bev… I just checked that site… I LOVE THEM!!! LOL!!!

I just updated the 2018 challenge list on GR, I *think* I got everyone, I got a wee bit creative. Please tell me if you hate it. I’ve been plotting and planning to try and include everyone’s ideas.

bev December 16, 2017 at 2:07 PM

I always forget with the resolutions. So.e on here do and some don’t. Which way do you lean?

Jan December 16, 2017 at 4:47 PM

Ooh Ooh. Jan is hyperventilating. Just found out that Susan Fanetti has written a HR and it’s coming out on 13 Jan 2018!! *fans self* It’s called Nothing on Earth and Nothing in Heaven. It’s a standalone set in 1910 and it sounds good! Can’t wait to one click that baby!

Carla I really liked Wrecking Ball too, although I was a little disappointed in Sledgehammer and couldn’t get into it as much. Yep Wrecking Ball was like Wall of Winnipeg, wasn’t it? But luckily different enough too that it didn’t just feel like a copy.

Sadly I just couldn’t really get into Roomies that much, although I FLOVED the Beautiful series. Glad you enjoyed it though.

Tessa December 16, 2017 at 6:43 PM

Alright, sorry, Grey. I ended up reading Treacherous. It wasn’t a bully book like I was expecting. I really enjoyed it, but it was more of a Hate to Love book (which I adore too, just not as much).

Now, I have a ton of books that I can read next and I’m overwhelmed because I want to read them all!

Melinda December 16, 2017 at 8:12 PM

Leslie, I get my nails done. Not false nails but just painted. In Australia there’s a product called S and S anyway it strengthens your nails and it doesn’t chip, but you have to get them redone as it grows out. It’s fantastic
At the moment they are red with silver sprinkles on the end, for Xmas.

Have a try just for Xmas. I love it.

Leslie M December 16, 2017 at 8:28 PM

Melinda, I think we have that (or something similar) here but I am going for regular polish I can do myself.

So, Seche Vite is a good product…gonna check it out. I love the Essie colors but never used. I def need user friendly, non-streaking, fast dry.

Cheryl December 17, 2017 at 8:19 AM

Hey Kooloo, can you pm me on GR your cold advice? Have a head cold I just can’t get rid of.

Cheryl December 17, 2017 at 8:31 AM

Saw letter mugs at Target on sale. :)

Saw Star Wars last night. It was good, but more flash than substance, too many story lines and a little disappointing with answers to questions.

Leslie I use the Seche Vite- works great at fast drying any polish. I find the lighter nail polish colors are more novice friendly. Sally Hansen has some inexpensive Hard as Nail, dry quick products that I have also used.

bev December 17, 2017 at 11:23 AM

Alright so you all know my love for Lin Manuel Miranda.
Whom I still adore.

But now Gong Yoo who I first watched in Coffee Prince (loved) and now The Lonely Shining Goblin.

R. Renee December 17, 2017 at 11:24 AM

Guys, I promise, if you use nose spray the very second you feel a cold coming on, it wards it off. My favorite is Vicks Sinex, but I’ve used many different ones, and they all seem to work. I haven’t had a cold in over 7 yrs. Doesn’t work so much AFTER you get a cold though.

bev December 17, 2017 at 11:53 AM

I do I use the salt water ones when I have a cold. I do think it helps it end sooner, plus it helps with congestion.

Tasha J December 17, 2017 at 2:29 PM

The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is on sale TODAY only for 1.99 from 12.99. Totally 1-clicked!! Reese Witherspoon’s book club recently made this their book of the month. It’s supposed to be twisty and addictive…https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4QZ0KW?ref=pe_2267260_265480080_w_1_61f5&tag=x_gr_e_d_default_control_us-20

Tasha J December 17, 2017 at 2:32 PM

Thank you all for you advice and cuddle for my awful cold! I touched it out o’ natural this time, but for a few days there it was brutal! Feeling a little better today, just tired. Of course, that could be Bc of all the Christmases I’ve had to attend and what not. Holidays are exhausting!

*peeks in*

Anyone around? I’m going to hubby brag so if you want to skip reading about it, do so now. ;) I’ve been off the grid the last three days…like, TOTALLY off the grid. Why? Hubby kidnapped me for a surprise three-day getaway to Seattle ending with tickets to the Seahawks vs. Rams game! Okay, they sucked today but it was still FUN!!! And the deal was no checking emails or social media or going online for pretty much anything. We SO needed that time together.

Alright, hubby bragging is over.

NAIL POLISH TALK!!!! My favorite brands are OPI, China Glaze (for the collections, not necessarily the quality), and Butter London. I just recently found these drops that you put on after your top coat, and your polish will dry within a couple of minutes. It’s insane! I’ll have to pull it out and check the brand…

That’s awesome Amy!!! The hubs is taking me on a date tomorrow to see Silent Night, Deadly Night. Romantic, I know!

Tessa December 18, 2017 at 12:15 AM

Awwww That’s great Amy! That sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend, with the exception of having your team suck.

I’ve never heard of London Butter, but that Doily topcoat is tempting! Lacy toenails. :)

R, why do I have a feeling you aren’t a scream and bury your head at the scary part type of person?

R. Renee December 18, 2017 at 12:17 AM

No way!!I I’m like Maryse! I love the scary!

Leslie M December 18, 2017 at 6:36 AM

Amy, the surprise trip sounded awesome! Back before we were parents, I did surprise Florida vacation for hubs. I am trying to save now for surprise family vacay for my sons graduation in 2019. Maybe Paradise Island?

For the nail thing I def need long lasting, quick dry and streak free/easy application. I will be going for lighter colors to start as I cant deal with chips. Chips are less offensive with light color.

I too love scary movies (at theater though, not to watch at home) but would never read scary book. However, IT was totally lame.

Grey December 18, 2017 at 9:58 AM

Amy! That sounds awesome!! Now these drops??

So…guess who has ALL of her Christmas presents wrapped?? *this girl* right here. However, I am not kidding when I say it feels like I cannot fricking move today. I wrapped for like 8 hours… *blink, blink*

I am so behind on reading too. Oy.

Leslie M December 18, 2017 at 4:08 PM

Grey, you are my hero! Hee hee. I have NOTHING wrapped and I am not even done shopping. I did get christmas cards done. Made my son go to park in freezing cold on Saturday to take pics. Made card on computer, sent to walgreens then yesterday he helped me address, stuff & seal 50 cards. *deep sigh of relief*

I was just thinking I can’t do the Alexa or Smart tv’s. It freaks me out enough that my phone knows where I am and asks me to leave a review or picture.

Leslie M December 18, 2017 at 7:09 PM

Bev, I am with you….I have neither.

bev December 18, 2017 at 7:50 PM

Hey, on GR it said my person will receive their gift announcement on th 21st. It is in the email from Amazon. Does anyone’s else say this.

Tessa December 18, 2017 at 8:21 PM

Huh Same. And I put down 22nd.

Amy December 18, 2017 at 8:30 PM

Ladies…you know that train derailment on the news, from here in Washington? I passed under that overpass less than 5 minutes before it happened. Thank goodness I left early (for once). Those poor people. Makes me appreciate everything that much more.

Tessa December 18, 2017 at 8:35 PM

Eeek! That’s close Amy. Yeah, I’ve seen it on the news and wow. That’s scary.

bev December 18, 2017 at 8:39 PM

I saw it on the news too.
Happy to hear you are ok.

Amy December 18, 2017 at 8:41 PM

Yep ladies, it was incredibly awesome of my hubby to do that. :D

R, have fun at your movie! I LOVE scary movies.

Amy December 18, 2017 at 8:47 PM

So sad indeed about the train. And horrifying to see. :(

Maryse December 19, 2017 at 7:06 AM

Amy I CAN’T BELIEVE that!!! OMG I am so relieved you were not there at that very wrong time. What a crazy situation…

R. Renee December 19, 2017 at 10:33 AM

OMG Amy! That’s crazy! I’m so happy you left early. Jeez!!!

Maryse December 20, 2017 at 11:04 AM

YAY Jan!!! One of your favorite authors with one of your favorite genres!! I’ll add this to my upcoming NEWS post. Thank you!!! :D
