YES. :D!!! ONE. CLICK!!!!!!!!!
Leslie M: Forever Right Now sucked me in and made me cry all over the place. Those characters were so real and gave me all the feels. I don’t remember having that strong of a reaction since I read It Ends With Us. …anyone who hasn’t read this, what are you waiting for?…
Kathy: just finished Forever Right Now. That Emma Scott sure can write beautiful heartfelt stories!
D.G.: Abso-freaking-lutely LOVED Forever Right Now! I worried over Darlene…I worried over Sawyer…I also feel in love with Olivia! This book was awesome!
<— ONE OF OUR ORIGINAL INDIE BOOKS is being released TODAY as a movie!!!!! Forever My Girl (The Beaumont Series Book 1) is in theaters now, my friends! And this one was MUCH loved by many!!
Kylee: Forever My Girl by McLaughlin — My husband was totally freaked out that I was crying. He asked why I was reading it if it made me cry! Usually he doesn’t ask anymore, he just awkwardly pats my back, but he knew I had just started the book, so couldn’t believe I was already crying!
Teresa: Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin. It’s a great book…5 stars!!!
Leslie M: I just finished audio for Forever My Girl. I liked it…rockstar, second chance romance with dual pov.
And don’t forget to check our “early Friday Finds” (aka: our Thursday Finds) because there were 6 books that went live yesterday that sound sooooooo GOOD that they could NOT wait for today’s list. So consider them the “prequel” to today’s Friday Finds. 😉 It includes new ones by Alessandra Torre, L.J. Shen (BULLY BOOK!!!! <— JulieO says “Currently reading Midnight Blue. And it’s a bully book for all you bully book lovers out there. About half way …”), Aly Martinez and Lily White!!! And now, may I present to you ➔ SIX THURSDAY finds.
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
Drive Me Wild (Riggs Brothers Book 1) by Julie Kriss <— SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE BETWEEN A GOOD GIRL & A BAD BOY!!! “...Eight years later, we’re both back in town. My father is in prison; Emily is selflessly helping her sister. We should be farther apart than we’ve ever been. But I’ve never been able to resist temptation, especially when that temptation is Emily. I shouldn’t go near her. But I do. She shouldn’t say yes. But she does. Our chemistry is hotter than ever, but she’s hiding something from me. Just like I’m hiding something from her…“
Between Me and You by Allison Winn Scotch <— TUMMY-HURTER!!! Cheryl found us an angsty/infuriating sounding one!
Cheryl: Just finished Between Me and You. I mostly loved it and it had the “feels” I love. It made my tummy hurt from the beginning- wondering how it would end and for all the miscommunications and bad timing that the MC’s experienced. It did get a little redundant with the MC’s gripes/issues and it was somewhat confusing because the chapters were not in chronological order. (I had more parts highlighted and notes than I generally do trying to keep everything straight). It is in dual pov, but I didn’t think it took away from the angst level. FYI it does have cheating.
- Drive Me Crazy (City Meets Country Book 1) by Mysti Parker <— A CITY BOY & A COUNTRY GIRL… “…For Ellie, moving to Brooklyn was supposed to be a fresh start. She’s homesick, but getting away from painful memories in Lexington is worth the change. Until she meets Luke, the hotheaded city boy who’s entirely too sexy for his attitude...”
The Wife Between Us: A Novel by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen <— PSYCH-THRILLER WITH A KILLER TWIST!!!!!!! Johanna read the one I’m DYING to read!!
Johanna: Have you read The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks? I don’t normally read these types of books but, omg! Am I glad I did. I couldn’t put it down. Just when I thought I had figured it out…bam! It would go in a different direction. Couldn’t put it down until I knew the whole story.
- A Part of Me and You by Emma Heatherington <— ONE WOMAN IS DYING & THE OTHER LOST HER BABY & IS NOW LOSING HER MARRIAGE… “…as the lives of these two women collide, could Juliette’s secret be the key to solving Shelley’s heartache? And could Juliette’s death give Shelley one final chance to live again…”
Saving Her by Bry Ann <— A FAMOUS GUY & A WAITRESS ALERT!! “…Hollywood. Lies. Sex. Fans. Attention. Lonely. I’ve been alone for far too long, caught up in a world I love but is slowly killing me. The real me. The one behind the lights. Then there’s her. The smart ass waitress who hates me with a fiery passion…”
- In Too Deep (The Santa Espera Series Book 3) by Harley Fox <— SHE’S AN UNDERCOVER COP TRYING TO INFILTRATE AN MC ALERT!! “...It’s not easy being a cop. And when you’ve gone undercover, trying to infiltrate the deadliest gang in Santa Espera to take down the scum that killed your own gangster brother? Well. Let’s just say I’ve been busy. All I wanted was to earn the Bullets’ trust. I needed to prove I was one of them. So when I hooked up with Flynn in the bar bathroom, I thought it would be a one-time thing. Boy, was I wrong…“
#Nerd (Hashtag Series Book 1) by Cambria Hebert <— IF YOU LIKED “THE DEAL” MAYBE THIS IS FOR YOU (AND ME!!) 😛 Stacie found us this one!

If you like a protective alpha male jock I can guarantee you will enjoy these books! Im already on the second one and can tell it’s going to be just as good if not better!

Instead I’ve ended up living across the street from Johnny. Star footballer, charmer, intelligent. Perfect, right? Wrong! I have no intention of being this line-backer’s latest conquest. Staying far away from him is my only choice. Even if every little thing he does makes me swoon. Johnny Baker is bad news for any girl. He’s a player and no girl will change that. Only he wasn’t…”
Waiting for the Sun by Rob Hill <— BACK ON THE LIST ‘CAUSE WE’RE LOVING IT!! I can’t wait to jump in!!!!
Liz: It gave me all feels. When you heart drops to your stomach that is my epitome of a 5 star… oh the angst.Of corse I hate the cliff hanger I am not good with the part twos or threes. I should have waited until it was complete. Please tell me it will be out soon. I will need to read it again before the second book is released. Everyone who didn’t buy the book run now get it. It will worth it guys. I’ll have to wait for my review after I digest it. I just stayed up all night bl I couldn’t put it down. I have to get up in an hour for work. Power nap or suffer through the day.
Ryker (Sinister Knights MC) by Aria Cole <— HE JUST GOT OUT OF PRISON AND WANTS WHAT HE CAN’T HAVE... “...As Vice President of the Sinister Knights, Ryker Beckett has proven his dedication and loyalty by sitting in a county jail cell for three years for saving one woman from a nightmarish assault. TGIF EVERYONE! Leslie? Are you back to ACOTAR?
Good morning Ela. No, not yet sweetpea, but I promise I WILL get back to it at some point.
So, is it completely ridiculous that everytime I see Robin’s book I get teary? I mean look at it! Its featured up there and has reviews. Like a real author!!!! Jeesh, I need to get a grip. I have probably cried more tears of joy than she has.
I’m so proud of Robin too. I can’t wait until I can tuck in with it. It’s going to be my weekend read.
Happy Friday!! Have the day off! Going to gym and then hair salon> Yeh!
Not ridiculous at all, Leslie…I feel waves of pride and joy for her every time I see her book mentioned. I read every review like my own life depended on it. Man, we are a sappy bunch – but I can’t think of a better group to have in our corner than us…did that even make sense? LOL
Cheryl, I wish I was motivated and brave enough to go the gym. 🙁 Good for you! Even better with a trip to the salon after.
Lisa, thanks for being sappy with me. *hugs*
I totally hate that we are all spread out. I want real life book clubs with you guys.
Hey, how ’bout we all plan trip to Bev’s house and tackle huh her? I also wouldn’t mind a trip to Australia or England.
Ok, got to tackle some housework AND get back to One True Loves.
bev’s house would be fun!! Oreos and blankie forts and martinis and we can all buddy read bev’s favorites with her!!! 😀
And Mississippi Pot Roast!!!!
*drags blankie* please tell me this week is almost over?
*drags quilt into blankie fort and snuggles with Grey*
*glares at the freezing Florida weather*
What are we readin’?
Happy Friday!!
Leslie–Count me in as sappy too!
Lisa and I are BRing Ghosted and I’m LOVING it!
Ela! Where have you been????
OMG! I totally did not expect this today! Wow! Thank you for posting Maryse and thank you Liz! I’m on book 2! Nay? We gots work to do!
And yes. Just once I’d like my husband to walk into my office and NOT see me crying. He’s starting to worry.
I was reading Come Away With Me, but I picked up True Abandon last night to look up something for a friend and now I want to re-read it. I beta read it but that was a while ago and I need to rewrite the review I accidently deleted on GR. 🙄
Very busy with work and the house…
READ MIDNIGHT BLUE
seriously I’m 80% in and it’s just amazing. It is a great great great great rock star book. I mean, I rarely comment and came out of hibernation to share how much I love it. LJ Shen is a genius
Ok back to lurking ha
I love the Mississippi pot roast if you put the veggies in with it…then veggies get that tangy yummy pepperoncini goodness to them.
Me too Leslie. I do love roasted veggies in the oven with all their sophisticatedness but how I LOVE a nice tangy broth veggie. I do a bit of both. I ALWAYS add veggies to the crockpot with the pot roast, (potatoes, carrots, celery and mushrooms), but I do make a few toasted side items too. 😉
My fort is too small to share and I’m not coming out.
LOL!!! Pile on top of bev in her TINY fort!!!!!!! We’ll need too snuggle her extra hard to fit. No worries. She’ll LOVE it! *snort* 😛
Mara–I noticed Midnight Blue this morning and made sure I had it on my TBR. Reading Ghosted is making me want to continue with the types of books I was loving 4-5 years ago!
I’m ready, Robin!
Let me just say that everyone was so, SO right! Ghosted is RUINING me–and I LOVE it!
MARA!!!! You convinced me – just one clicked this bad boy
Teehee
YAY MARSYE!!! I’ve booked off THIS SUNDAY to read Robin’s masterpiece *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
Robin I’m breaking my anti- Rip-Your-Heart safe-zone JUST FOR YOU!!
Oh gosh it will be my first tearjerker of the New Year….
You better be around on GR this Sunday if I need you!
Lol
Xxxxxxxoooooooxxxxxoooo
NAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!! Hi
Maryse and Kooloo- I’m reading Robin’s book this weekend too!! Yeh BR time.
Gotta move Midnight Blue up the tbr too. Sounds great- I love a rock star book.
Bev, that is adorably hilarious!! :>
BR weekend! Woo hoo! I’m so excited! Thanks guys! And I think you’ll be fine Kooloo. It’s not as heavy as the subject matter suggests.
*runs off to look up Midnight Blue and see what all the fuss is about*
Hi, Kooloo!!
Glad to see you back!!
I’m glad Kooloo’s back too, Nay!
Here I’ve been trotting around with her cool new winter boots in all of this Florida freezing weather. Wondered if she’d want them back. 😉
Oooh, I want to read Midnight Blue!!!! But, seriously, I want to read everything right now! So overwhelming with all these new releases!
As most of you know, I read Mister McHottie this week and totally loved it! Hysterical! You guys have to check it out! Glitter bombs!
I jumped right into the latest K. Webster book, My Torin…..I’ll keep you all updated! Whispers and Roars blew me away so my expectations are high!
I love all the love for Robin’s book! You guys are going to love it too!
My mind this weekend is on NFL football though! I’m dying for the games on Sunday!!!!!!
Nerd series is all types of yumm! Definitely recommend.
Mister McHottie mentioned again…. now I just HAVE to download the sample. Could use some humor!
Ha! Love your blankie fort, Bev. Every time I see ANYTHING with an orangutan, I think of you. It’s your new alter ego.
*cuddles the cuteness that is bev*
Hey Ela – did you read the series Beautiful Monsters by Jex Lane? You’re a fantasy fan & it’s a really good one. Kind of dark, but what a story, world, characters, plot! I think its KU too. You should give it a try.
Just finished “Drive” oh my… I need a hug. I need a martini. I feel like I was hit by a Mack truck and now what am I going to read… Holy Me Oh My Oh, what a great, great, great, great, great (that’s 5-greats) book. When I first saw it popping up on this blog I thought ‘maybe’ but the gushing just never ended and I’m SO happy I jumped in on the “Drive” train. Thanks everyone for all great suggestions & gushes :-).
Off to find my Martini. Just a little dirty.
I AGREE with you Teri, and I do agree. A DIRTY martini is needed. 😉 I’d be happy to have one with you and toast to this awesomeness. 😉
Maryse–you know, that’s the perfect way to describe roasted veggies in the oven–sophisticated! I feel the same way when I get out my olive oil and spices, like Ina Garten, the picture of casual sophistication, who first taught me how to roast them. I really love to zip mine up with balsamic vinegar too. Yum!
Speaking of cooking, I still haven’t used the immersion blender my guys got me for Christmas. I’m planning to make one of the Pioneer Woman’s soups. Guess I should have done it this past week, not now when it’s going to be in the 60’s!
MichelleS it’s funny because I first used that picture in response to either Amy or Maryse I think. And then when everyone started picking pictures I just remembered it and how I thought it was cute. But now I think if we all met everyone would actually expect a little orangutan to be waddling up.
The Serpent King is back on sale…..just saying.
*glitter bomb* I’m here, I’m here! Gah! Seriously, what a week! I am sooo glad it’s over! I don’t even know what I need to recover from this week…besides all of you…and a week of weekends. 😆
So what are we reading? What’s on the agenda this weekend?
What happened this week, Grey? Glad you’re finally getting some time away from it!
I’m reading Ghosted! And then I’m either reading Midnight Blue or Behind the Bars. I want to read something music-y!
What are you reading now that you’ve got some time for yourself, Grey? There are a bunch of good ones this week alone!
**If someone reads Midnight Blue, please let us know what you think. I’d think Paula would jump on that one!
It’s been an awful week at work this week. Just some really sad situations…stressful…eat me up, worrying about too much that I unfortunately have no control over situations… Ugh. *sigh* yeah, I need Manny…and time with my girls.
I have a beta that I need to work on, but my head isn’t there right now. I need to grab another Amazon card so I can read American King… I finished American Prince. Midnight Blue sounds right up my alley though.
Nay, when you read Behind the Bars, please…for the love of all that is holy…make frequent updates for me because I am DYING to see what you think.
I will, Leslie. Promise! I’m surprised more people haven’t read (or at least talked about it) after so many people loved The Gravity of Us.
Nay, Chants “ behind the Bars” so good. Fist pumps.
But my next read is Robins probs Sunday. Waiting for the Sun.
But omg it is sooo hot here. 108 that’s 42 in Australia. The Australian open is on and apparently it’s 64 on the court that’s 147 on court. Dying here.
I just bought Midnight Blue. The reviews are really good and I love L.J. Shen. So much for sticking to my TBR! As soon as I finish My Torin (which is f’ing with my mind), that’s next!
Grey, I hope you get to unwind this weekend and relax with a good read. *hugs*
Melinda, 108!?! That is waaaaay too hot. How can athletes even safely play when court is 147? I almost would rather have my -30 wind chills than to be THAT hot.
The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh is on sale for 1.99!! One of my favorites that I read a few years ago! 🙂
I’m reading Midnight Blue…oh Tessa!!!!
Is is good, Grey? I’m almost finished with Ghosted and I need to decided between Midnight Blue and Behind the Bars.
Nay, those are my two top contenders for reading next too. Just have to finish My Torin first and have no time to read today! Blah!
Grey, I’ll get into it after Boy in a Band. I swear, BiaB is a train wreck. The girl just can’t say no to this guy, and talk about dumb. She finally is in her twenties, but seriously… train wreck.
Thank you, Maryse!! xoxo
Finished MB. 4.25 stars for me. I wrote a review on GR…. I’m running at the moment, I have to get ready for another kid function, LOL. I swear…
Yay JAN!!! My Torin – sooo good RIGHT?!?
Was reading it and kept thinking where did this author come from
Gahhhh I could not put it down!!!!
just got goosebumps remembering it
Maryse!!!!! Naaaaahhhhh you can keep my Sorels BECAUSE I’m wear my Hunter rubbers TODAY!!!! It’s PLUS 6 outside and slushy and muddy but everything is melting WHOOOOWHOOOO
BUT I will need them back tomorrow when the Weather Gods dump 25cm on us on MONDAY
bummer
home sick yet – heehee
OH OH OH THERE IS A NEW THRILLER on NETFLIX
called OPEN HOUSE!!!!!!
Gahhhh it looks supper freaky – just my thang
https://youtu.be/tMSu3Gyz1jU
Ugh. We’re in the middle of a heat wave here in my little corner of Australia. *waves to Melinda* Third day IN A ROW of 42+ (Yep, 108 fahrenheit) Predicted to *cool down* to 39 tomorrow. (102) I’m meeelllttiiinnnggggg……
Just staying in front of the air conditioner, which is working overtime!
Oh well. Good excuse to just read. 😀 For some reason I started Midnight Blue. Never read L J Shen before, and you know I hate bully books. But there’s something about this one. I’m gripped. Maybe I don’t hate bully books as much as I thought?
*fans face and debates with self whether or not it’s too ridiculous to turn the air con on at 9.23am*
Kooloo!!!
Only home sick for my family and poutines and smoked meat sandwiches. 😉 Well… all of it. YES DARNIT I KIND OF AM!!!
Just not homesick for the never ending snow.
Ummm… THRILLER?? ON NETFLIX???
Gonna watch it RIGHT NOW. Thank you my friend. I need a thrill. 😉
Jan. I am DYING to know what you think. I’ve glimpsed mixed reviews about the bully (and the likability of it as a whole). MUCH LOVE and some say…. they did not like him at all. EVER.
Which… intrigues me. 😉
Well Maryse, I kinda like him, beep-head though he is. I’m actually liking this book (and you know I’m picky).
Mmm. Poutine. It’s not the right weather here for thinking about that, but I do want to try it one day. Next time I’m in Canada 😉
You ARE picky Jan. Which entices me all the more.
Oooh, that intrigues me too because I usually love the ones that others NEVER like.
Jan and Melinda, bless your hearts in that heat! That’s miserable! It got up to 61 at my house today and all the snow finally melted.
DO NOT watch Open House on Netflix!
I repeat DO NOT watch this stupid sucky movie
Gahhhh !?! the trailer looked so good…
Well that’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back!
Sowwwyyy Maryse…
*walk away shaking head muttering expletives under breath*
*sigh* I watched it Kooloo. Too late. :/
Now shall we look up bev’s Train one?
Hahaha Kooloo. The old *sucked in by the movie trailer* deal. It’s happened to us all. *pats Kooloo consolingly on back*
Maryse and Kooloo you should watch Train to Busan instead and then tell me if I should be brave enough to watch it.
OMG YES!!! I WANNA WATCH IT bev!!!!!!!
I LOVE ASIAN HORROR & thrillers. Total addict. YAY ME!!!!!!! 😀
Have you watched Human Centipede. I can’t even watch the trailer without breaking out in a sweat totally scary to me. i just can’t watch scary. I sit there with my hands over my eyes spreading my fingers then closing them again.
Melinda… it made me SO traumatized one night that I was actually, full on sick. For hours. In the bathroom… all night. AWFUL. I hear #2 is even worse, and there is no way I’m going there.
That’s when I truly learned that torture-horror is NOT my thing.
Un-lurking again HA
So I finished MB and I still highly rec it. Now maryse I know you don’t always like having the guy’s POV because it can ruin some of the mystery. But I like it here because it gives us reasons why the jerk is being sooo jerky. Also I will never be able to grasp how some people are so talented. Not only does Shen write an amazing book but also writes beautiful awesome songs inside of that book. Blows my mind. I can barely write a grocery list y’all. But that’s why I’m a reader lol
Now I’m rereading Cassandra Gannon’s Wicked Ugly Bad bc it’s funny and silly and just great
Happy Sunday!!!
Mara!!!! Thank you for that. 😀 I like you in “un-lurking” mode. LOL!!!!!
Melinda, I’m not big into horror either. I did watch a few seasons of WD. I started out by having to fast forward through certain parts, watch that way, then go back and watch at regular speed. I am the same way at embarrassing scenes. In books too. If the heroine is about to be I read ahead and then backwards from there. I’m trying to get better at it, lol.
But Train to Busan has Gong Yoo in it…..
Mara unlurk more often. We don’t bite.
Except for Ela.
And sometimes ELA yells. 😉
BUT!!! She’s snuggly. Unlike bev. But bev has cookies. 😛 See? We all fit together perfectly.
Join us. Bev has cookies.
We have cookies, nutella, French bread, salami, olives, drinks, coffee and even pot roast.
And tons of book recs.
*whispers*
Just be careful of the Marmies.
And….um….how do you feel about courtyards?
Hey, has anyone ever tried this Ramen adaptation from Roy Choi?
I ate so much ramen in HS, I got sick of it for awhile. Now I admit occasionally I still want and eat a pack. On a cold day and the hot broth…yum.
Anyway, kind of tempted. I mean probably better than hotdogs and peanut butter, right?
https://www.dinnerwithjulie.com/2015/02/08/ramen-egg-cheese/
bev.
Ramen is my favorite. Anything ramen-like is my favorite.
Sometimes (always) I put cottage cheese in it.
😐
P.S. I also want to eat it EVERY DAY.
EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I love it as much as pot roast and martinis. 😐
Started the series New Girl on Netflix last night- it’s hilarious!! Loving it
I LOVE NEW GIRL!!!!!
I watched at least 3 or 4 seasons of it a few years back and it just gets better and better (and more hilarious). I need to find out what season I left off on, and continue from there. One of my favorites!
bev!!! I watched Train to Busan late last night it was zombie awesomeness! Like exactly how I picture zombies in my head when read “Until the End of the World” series Gosh I loved those books!!!!
Maryse YOU HAVE To Watch this movie!!!!!
Also I promise to always preview my movie recs from now on!
PS I still eat PB and popcorn sandwiches and I always eat my Ramin with shredded cheese on top YUMMY all from my Uni days
OMG KOOOOOOLOOOOOOO!!!
You’re almost my food-twin!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tasha did you know New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is real life sisters with Bones star Emily Deschanel look….
https://goo.gl/images/VMHekq
And Zooey really can sing!!! FLOVE her voice…
https://youtu.be/7ThRVUcmSa0
Just finished My Torin! Loved, loved, loved it! So amazing.! Move this one up on your TBRs girls, like asap!!!!!!
Yay!!! So I have to work my courage up and watch it.
I know I already posted this, but I don’t care. Gong Yoo! Lol.
It’s him in a drama and his character goes to watch Train to Busan.
Um, pb& popcorn??
https://youtu.be/JkIij6DnpS8
I’ve never had pb & popcorn sandwiches but I’m game.
After all… I’m the pb on a hot dog girl. 😉
Don’t do it girls.
Now now bev….be nice
Ok.
Do it girls.
Mara, Jean is our favorite so you always have to read her recs. It’s a rule of Maryse’s.
’tis true. 🙂
Haha bev!
My husband put peanut M&Ms on his fajita last night. FAJITA. I think that may have something to do with all the margaritas we consumed, but he swears it was delish.
My 16 year old son eats Ramen EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. He also just munches on the dry noodles if he’s being extra lazy and wants a snack. I have about 20 packs of it in my kitchen right now.
I was going to make it the other day but looked at the calorie count and about died. Tricky little suckers say one package is 2 servings! I could have a cheeseburger for that!
Agreed R.
You think 190 calories per serving is the whole package. BUT NOPE. THAT IS TWO SERVINGS in that little square. GRRRRR!!!
Which is the reason I don’t eat them every day, let alone multiple times a day. ‘Cause I totally would.
Oh and the sodium levels. 😐
Ok that it I’m totally cravin’ Ramin now!!!
MARYSE seriously cottage cheese in soup! LMAO
IT MELTS.
IT.
MELTS.
Try it. You won’t regret it. Turns the broth slightly creamy but doesn’t change the flavor and then you get that melty cheese effect. I PROMISE.
Everyone that has tried it (and has balked at it first) ended up LOVING it. Serious. And I’m talking SERIOUS BALKERS. If you love ramen, you’ll love ramen and cottage cheese.
P.S. PLUS!!!!!!! And this is a huge plus!! It makes the ramen healthy. Er… or… 😉 HEALTHIER. 😛
Protein and amino acids and calcium and all that. 😉
My Torin is brilliant
DO IT & DO IT NOW
I forgot about that! The sodium is a killer.
Lol. They are in no way a low cal food.
Oh, the cravings from watching kdramas. Looks so good, except I’m sure many dishes would be too spicy for me.
But so much ramen. And grilled meat at your table. Just like bacon. Makes me so hungry.
Lol I’m making Ramin a la cott’ right now… keep u posted 😉
Oh and Robin I think you are amazingly brilliant!
At 28%
Thank you for reading Kooloo! <3
Whoah there’re some weird food combos up there today. Don’t know whether to go yeccchhhh or to try some of them. *scratches head*
Holy moly ladies…106 comments for me to wade through!!
First off…Grey, my friend, I feel ya. We can snuggle with Manny and a bottle of the Marionberry wine I just picked up. I almost quit my job a couple of days ago. At least I know I’m valued because my boss begged me to stay. Still have a sore spot though. 😕 We can DO this. We can stick it out.
Hmmm…
Oooooh what happened Amy? Sometimes… jobs are hard. Or infuriating. But we’re here to listen.
Dangit, hit submit too soon…
Hmmm…so much to comment on…Teri loved Drive and my heart just did a backflip…if anyone expects bev to show up as a waddling orangutan then they probably expect me to show up as a land-flopping manatee (with painted nails, of course)…Kooloo is wearing hunter rubbers and all I can picture is camo condoms over her feet…I’m starving with all the talk of poutines and smoked meat sandwiches and cookies and nutella and French bread and olives and coffee and pot roast…wait…not hungry anymore…*retches* Melinda just brought up the one movie that makes me gag every time I picture the “centipede” BLECH…did someone say dirty martini because YES, always yes…*tackle hugs Mara for unlurking*…*hopes Mara isn’t scared away*…I clicked My Torin because of the Jean rule…now I’m off to crack open one of my newly-purchased fruity wines as it is definitely past 5:00 somewhere. 😉
Oh, and I’m guinea pigging This Is Not a Fairytale for everyone.
You’re welcome. *snort*
YAY!!!! I Kindle-Unlimited downloaded that one, Amy!!! Very excited to know what you think. GAH!! I hope it’s good. I want it to be soooooooo goooooood.
I had NO idea they were sisters Kooloo! That’s so cool…Bones was by show after I had my last baby. And, her voice is amazing, it has that old timey feel that I love.
Btw, everyone’s food talk is really grossing me out. Ramen hasn’t ever really been my thing, I don’t hate it though. Pb and popcorn, yuck. Pb and hot dogs?? Dbl yuck. My father in law does that w/bologna. Calls them roll ups. And he makes faces at the thought of my mac and ketchup?! Pssshhh! We had pork tenderloin and chops on my parents new grill tonight, it’s warmer out now. Hooray! Anyway, applewood smoked bacon loin and I just couldn’t eat it. The smell of it even made me shudder. Reminds me of the fair when they put the pork barn (it’s food, like sausage sandwiches and stuff) next to the livestock to there’s that real strong smell and *gag*. Everyone else raved though, there must be something off w/me tonight.
Pregnant? 😉 Maybe that. *smirk*
Tasha, it’s pregnancy nose. Almost any strong smell gagged me when I was pregnant.
About food…Nay, have you used your immersion blender yet? I have one I have never used. I wanted to make all kinds of healthy soups but never got around to it. I think I am going to try tomato soup this week.
Great recap Amy. 🙂
Amy is channeling bev!!!
Tasha, come on. I want to hear about some weird pregnancy food cravings. Share, then Maryse & Kooloo will try them.
Though I am going to try that ramen recipe I posted some time this week. Sounds fast and filling for a rainy night after work.
Lol, well yes my sense of smell is stronger, but my adversions I would have thought to be over in first trimester. 😛
I don’t really have cravings this time around. I mean, I have cravings even when I’m not pregnant usually, just none for a while I guess.
With my 1st, I like a cold cut combo with provolone, lettuce, tomoato, cucumber, black olives, mayo & a little mustard. Weekly. Slushies from Dairy Queen, chocolate shakes, smoothies, popcorn. Fettuccine alfredo with sliced tomato on the side and a runny egg. Mmm, that one is fantastic. My 2nd, I decided I liked pb, same with the shakes and smoothies, mcgriddles I think, my fettuccine dish, and I once wanted a pizza burger so bad I made Texas toast for the bun, a burger and put some cheese and spaghetti sauce on it. That’s all I got. Lol
*huggles Amy* thanks girl. We’ve got this! We’re not gonna let this upcoming work week get us down…No sirree!
Very low key day around here, I wound up working on a beta read almost all day, so that was cool. Now I’m going to bed early.
I feel like I read a lot the past couple days, which is crazy considering I hadn’t read much lately overall! Oh and that reminds me, I did open posts for February signups for all the fun challenges if you want to participate…
*tossing glittery sand* and praying for restful sleep for all of my dearest ones! Mwah!
Poor Tasha. This isn’t your second so you gotta know. Not one single pregnancy is the same! lol This time, you just have a strong nose.
Ramen, just no. We had it a lot as a kid. One nephew lived with us and one lived across the street and they inhaled the stuff so my parents would buy it in bulk since they ate a lot. You know, growing boys and all that.
I’m enjoying Midnight Blue. Let’s be honest, compared to Vicious, this guy is a saint so far. 😛 I’m enjoying it, though.
*snuggles Grey* That’s RIGHT, my friend. 😉
Maryse…to simplify it, we have a bully coworker no one has stood up to. Well, I did when this coworker made another (incredibly sweet) coworker cry and it’s been hell ever since. I told our boss either the coworker goes somewhere else or I leave the company. We’ll see what happens. *sigh*
*giggle* I only WISH I could channel even a quarter of bev’s wittiness.
And I am very hopeful as well for TINAF. I really, REALLY want it to work me over. 😛
Amy’s is so much better. I love when her or MichelleS do the recap of comments like that. So funny and smart.
Tasha I am half way through the first ep of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Yes, different than Gilmore Girls and Bunheads, but the charismatic lead lady, that great rat a tat tat dialogue (wish more books had this) the clothes and set design, but almost better because retro. Love all those details, the phone, dishes, hair rollers, and so on. Plus, the soundtrack. However, hate Joel.at this moment. Hope she truly wipes her hands of him.
Oh, and please do not measure your baby’s forehead. Lol.
Yeah I’m enjoying Midnight Blue too, even though it makes me feel guilty like I *shouldn’t* be liking it. Like sneaking forbidden chocolate when no-one else is around LOL. Yummy, guilty pleasures. Who is this Vicious you speak of Tessa? Would I like him too?
*hugs Tasha* Oh, those crazy cravings. And pregnancy nose LOL. I hated supermarket shopping when I was pregnant cos all the different smells in each aisle made me gag. And I couldn’t drink tea! The smell of tea was just yuk! (IKR?) But I did crave Coco Pops. Do you have those (breakfast cereal)? I normally wouldn’t touch cocopops with a twenty foot pole, but when you’e pregnant, anything goes, right?
Wow, Amy. That is a huge step. I hope it works out well for you. Why do some people need to be so toxic?
I love that you want to be lost in a marmy right now when I would choose the sweetest book I could find. But probably listen to sad or angry music.
Good for you Amy! I hope it works out but I have faith it will. Your boss sounds like a good one. <3
bev…they are emotional pressure releases for me. 😉 I’ve already spent too much time in tears over this person, and life is too short to stay in a job where I’m miserable because of someone else. At least I love every other part of my job. Oh, and you may think my recaps are entertaining, but I can’t tell you how many times I have literally LOL’d because of your humor.
Do you remember saying to me on GR something to the effect of “yes, let’s just talk about my underwear all across social media” (not word for word but you get the gist) when I commented on here and over there about you dropping your drawers over something? I remember.
Or when I threatened to sneak-attack hug you while you were peering over the balcony of the blog wondering who else was waiting to get in, and you threatened to drop Manny to the massses if I did?
Or your recap (for MichelleS, I think…but maybe not) where you described what we had all been up to while you were stuck in Russia? Not to mention your other hilarious musings and predictions.
Well, I remember. I. Remember. And I died laughing each time. Blush away, my friend. Blush away.
Awwww R, thank you! Tomorrow will give me answers but I, too, have faith it’s going to be okay. *hugs*
Yay! I’m glad you’re liking it Bev! I couldn’t stop once I got started.
Yep, Jan, we have coco puffs here too. I prefer coco pebbles though.
I am blushing.
Don’t know what to say.
*Looks down*
*kicks Tessa*
But seriously it isn’t good at all if she is making cry, but at least you know you love the type of work.
Yes, I liked it alot Tasha. I always like to see who pops up from the other shows in her new ones too.
*feels the kick and looks back* What did I do? I was just sitting here, reading a book that made me cry, and I get kicked? Geesh. *grumbles*
Finished Midnight Blue and gave it 4 stars. I really enjoyed it, but it didn’t smack me like her other books do. The others, the angst is so insane and the need to kill the hero is so strong, my body quivers with emotion. This one, not as much. His inner voice didn’t worry me at all. He was fixable broken without any real dark thoughts. Still enjoyable, but not a Vicious.
FYI, last night I was in tears because of the BEGINNING of a book: King Hall. It was on my wishlist forever then went on sale sometime around Black Friday and ugh. Honest truth though, it has all I love. School setting (college), paranormal fantasy stuffs, emotion/ angst, politics influencing everything, and a jerk. Right now, my tummy is operating in an anger at the world mode. lol
*snickers and hands an ice pack to Tessa*
You know I’m going to have to click King Hall now, right? 😉
lol Yeah. It’s good so far, though. That one part gah. I knew it was going to happen, but still! That hurt.
*places ice pack on her leg* There, better.
High five Amy!!!
You are absolutely right my friend life is too dang short and YOU are too darn Awesome to put up with that crap or in my case what I like to call “little man syndrome” Yes Yes I had one of those too and I to had enough and left and never looked back!
…well actually I systematically facilitated the hiring of my former pharmacy techs, that worked under said little man, to my new place of employment and we all worked happy ever after.
BOOYA little man
*snaps finger in z-formation*
The Wife Between Us on Audible…5++++ stars!
