LisafromDFW: Someone recommended Binding 13. Sloooooooow burn and a cliffhanger!!!! I’m dying. I loved it. Damaged h. Thx for recommending!!!!
Jan: …really liked it. It’s first in a new series. NA, bullies, rugby players, set in Ireland. (I know). I like the last two, but NA and bullies aren’t usually my fav. But there was just something mesmerising about this book. I got drawn right in and I just had to keep on reading…

- Waiting for the Sun: Waiting for the Sun, Part One by Robin Hill <— WE LOVED IT & Michele G finally read it!!!
Michele G: I’m sure most of you have already read it but I finally jumped in and read Waiting For the Sun over the weekend and can’t rave enough about how much I enjoyed it! It sat on my TBR for way too long — but hey there are a ton of books on my TBR so it was it good company! Seriously, if you haven’t read it yet, I do highly recommend it!
- A Fix Fling (The Fix Book 5) by Carey Heywood
Rock F*ck Club by Michelle Mankin <— LIVE!!! ROCK STAR GROUPIES??? “…The Gods of Rock Tour. 4 summer concert venues. 10 famous rock stars to f*ck. Two at a time. Maybe even three. I know what I like and how to get it. I’m Marsha West. Raven Winter’s best friend. A sidekick no longer, I’m in the starring role…”
- Sadie by Courtney Summers <— LIVE!!! AND Amy is excited to start it! And so is Tasha… and BOTH are my book-twins!!!! :D!!! Seriously… what they love, I LOVE.
Amy: This welcome little treat popped up in my library and made me happy…Sadie by Courtney Summers!!! I forgot today was the release day. The blurb gives it a Female of the Species vibe, but I’m going into it open minded and without any preconceived notions. Fingers crossed!
Tasha: Sadie is next for me too!
Dirty Headlines by L.J. Shen <— L.J. SHEN’S LATEST IS LIVE!!!! THEY HATE EACH OTHER (and they once had a one night stand and now he’s her boss!! GAH!!!) 😉 “...Now he’s staring me down like I’m the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I’m supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith “Jude” Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch. When he looks at me from across the room, I see the glint in his eyes, and that makes us rivals…”
Christina: Got it last night and of course that’s when my hubby starts pestering me!
Hillary: Just clicked!
Meet the Sky by McCall Hoyle <— LIVE!!! JENN FOUND US THIS ONE!!
Maryse-”Meet the Sky” by McCall Hoyle was released today, I love the cover which is what attracted me to it…..it sounds heartbreaking.

*friday glitter*
Jasper’s sick. *sigh* Always the weekends. I’ve not missed this. Nope. Disgustsing bodily fluids everywhere.
Oh, morning. 😛
Oh Tasha…nothing worse than a sick baby! I hope he is better soon.
So, Paradise by the Dashboard Light looks awesome! Also, Binding 13 piqued my interest but only once sequel is out. I did double take on P.S. I Miss You cover as I thought author was “copying” another popular book cover. Duh! It’s her own other book, P.S. I Hate You.
I need more coffee.
Sorry, Tasha! Really sucks when your baby is sick–in more ways than one!
Good morning! Happy Friday!
I’ve been tempted over and over this week to read Binding 13 but wasn’t ready to commit to such a long book, but I can’t take it anymore! It’s next on my list!
Happy Friday All!
Leslie M-Dancing in your *Friday Glitter*
Tasha-So sorry-sending Jasper feel better vibes.
Nay-I am with you on Binding 13; it maybe my next one too.
Finally Friday and weekend around the corner 🙂 I have been sick most of the week – and the only good thing about it is, that I could read a lot – not much else to do.
I finished Cry Baby by Ginger Scott a couple of days ago. I went in blind and it was one of the best reads in a long time. The story is about a gang member and the new girl in the neighborhood. Not your typical HEA but the perfect ending in my opinion. I can’t seem to let this one go. I have startet a new book but I still keep thinking about Cry Baby and wishing I could stay in their world a little longer. I highly recommend this one and it is at a bargain price at the moment – only $1,86.
Happy Friday and thank you Maryse and Michele G for the Waiting for the Sun love!!!
We’re starting a new buddy read for Let Me Watch by Sansa Rayne so I had to put Let it Fade on hold for a few days. It’s a dark romance and I haven’t read one of those in ages!!
I’m curious about Binding 13! Been seeing it all over my Goodreads feed!
I bought it on Jan’s rec when she was reading it. Maybe I’ll squirrel from my tbr after my current read.
Being Brooke by Emma Hart is FREE right now
Happy Friday! Tasha, I so feel for you with a sick baby – I hope he’s better quickly!! R, you are most welcome for The Waiting for the Sun love …it’s well-deserved! Lots of other good ones on the list today — more on the TBR!
Happy Friday, ladies! *rolls around in glitter*
It’s set in stone and I’m sticking to it…One Day Soon (still loving it, typos and all ;)), Sadie, Evening, and then Binding 13. And now there’s Paradise By the Dashboard Light just begging to be added…
Aw Tasha, poor little bubby boy. 🙁 Sick babies are so sad, especially when they try to drink their bottles or breastfeed and they can’t because their noses are stuffed.
Pia…is Cry Baby all in his POV or is it dual?
Amy, it is a dual POV.
Just finished The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker. I stayed up late to finish it. Definitely one of my best reads of the year! Visiting Alaska is now at the top of my bucket list!!
Thank you all! I took him to the doc (nurse practitioner) this morning and I disagree with about everything she said. I’m not one of those that argues with the doctors even, but I swear this lady gets right under my skin. Hopefully this clears up by tomorrow Bc it’s awful seeing him so uncomfortable. And…you know, for me too. It’s a stomach virus (we think). No idea where he got it from.
Happy friday and it’s my day off!!!! Still reading Dirty Headlines, which is getting better. One-clicked A Pinch of Salt (free) and Ps I Miss You (KU). Binding 13 does sound good, but I’m trying to not buy books right now.
Tasha sorry little J man is sick. 🙁
Yes! Binding 13….don’t miss out.
Trina M Lee just dropped book 14 in the Alexa O’Brien series called Apocalyptic! More Arys and Alexa battling twin flames! Love this series so much!
I got The Glue. It’s MMF and sometimes that’s a good change of pace, plus it’s by K. Webster.
Right now I’m reading the Edge series by CD Reiss. Why did I wait so long?! It’s totally not what I was expecting at all.
“J man” Love it!
That settles it, Pia…click!!! 😀
Enjoy your day off, Cheryl. *hugs*
Marsye – Claudia Connor newest book is .99
OMG did you guys see this? Have any of you read her? https://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/09/06/romance-novelist-allegedly-murdered-chef-husband-at-oregon-culinary-institute.html
Robin-I have not and now I am glad I haven’t-honestly I have never even heard of her.
Nope, and I don’t have any of her books. That’s just craziness! 😕
*GASP* I just sighted a Jean!!
Thanks Amy. Started it right by going to the gym but sadly I just ate cookies my daughter brought home from school! Can’t resist frosted sugar cookies!
😉
I haven’t read any of her books either. Guess she’ll have a lot of time in jail to write more books!
I didnt see a Jean.
Or a MichelleS.
Or a Tessa.
Or a Grey.
64 and rainy!!! It has been so unbearably humid for so long and I have been SO ready for this weather. Lazy weekend (hopefully reading too) for me. What’s weather like where you all are?
Hot and HUMID! UGH
It’s raining here all weekend and I’m stoked because we were supposed to take the boat out tomorrow but… (US) football!
Ugh, that sucks Nay!
And football game day snacks, right? 😉 That’s what I look most forward to. Lol
Here it’s more like football game day Coronas! But we will grill burgers!
It’s in the blessed 60’s here too! Finally!!
I may have missed it is on some of the comments lately, but did you all see that the book You by Caroline Klepnes is being made into a series on Lifetime. It premieres next week. Penn Badgley stars in it. I had my husband read the book and he loved it. I need to read it before the series starts!
I thought it premiered tomorrow. I was gonna try to watch it
The Fault In Our Stars is on sale for 2.99, normally 9.99…I’ve already seen the movie (and bawled) but I will totally read the book for that price. 😀
Also, THIS one looks nice and angsty: Only You by Lacey Silks, and it’s on sale for .99…CLICK!
Wasn’t someone asking for similar books recently, where the h’s first love comes back after she is committed to someone else and then she’s torn between the two? Only You sounds like it would fit that trope.
Oh, and it’s 66 and cloudy here. In other words, PERFECT.
80 and blue skies.
Spoke too soon. Smoke.
R, I hear your enthusiasm for a day of football watching with some bemusement. Probably much the same way you hear me speak of a day of drama watching. 😉
Unless it was going to a game..that could be fun.
Though I’ve been reading last night and today.
I’m a total hermit. Though I am pushing the hubs to take me to the Browns game in Houston in December. Other than that, my favorite thing in the world to do is sit outside on Sundays with the patio TV on football, a cooler full of iced down Coronas, and my laptop. And I’m perfectly fine doing it all by myself. The hubs joining me is hit or miss!
R…I have a premise for you.
Hero: Football Player
Heroine: K drama actress
*waves* *pushes tub full of glitter in* Gah, I’m so tired. But here we go. *tosses glitter* This week has been a like a month, I swear. Did I mention I was tired yet?
It’s Saturday and 5 o’clock on the East Coast, I’m opening a bottle of wine.
3 things, let’s do it.
1) I’m currently opening a bottle of Pomegranate wine, I’ll be half in the bag by 522.
2) I haven’t had time to read ALL week, that makes Grey a very grumpy girl. I just changed into jammies, however, after picking my girl up from cheer practice, (hence the wine) and I’m ready to finish a book I started a week ago. And then, I’m going to read all night…or until the wine puts me to sleep. *giggle* Any must read suggestions, or am I gonna actually read one of my challenge reads this month?
3) Football, yes, I’m in for football too, and not just local (my littles play…or cheer), but I love watching professional football.
59 and cloudy here… after being 95 2 days ago. Um, get it together, Mother Nature!!!
17 here today. Er, that’s about 63, that is (we’re celsius down here). Anyways, early spring, and it’s nice.
Bev, I LOVE your trope. I totally would love to read that. It’s a wonder nobody’s done it yet. (Or have they??????) LOL.
I’m in a leetle bit of a reading slump. I’ve started a few books but left them hanging. I’ve got challenge books galore to read. I’ve got a mountainous tbr of goodies too. I dunno. I want that really fab book you just can’t stop reading. Where’s my next Last Hour of Gann, Beautiful Player, Slightly Dangerous????? Gimme now!
Rainy and 60’s here with more rain forecasted for tomorrow. Hope to get some reading done now and tomorrow. Too busy running my daughter around today and hanging some plates and sconces in my dining room.
Have a glass of wine, another frosted sugar cookie and my kindle. 🙂
Jan do you watch kdramas? Or listen to kpop?
I once watched an ep of Running Man when they went to Australia. Is Korean or other asian shows more prominent there?
Hi Bev, I will answer for Jan, sorry Jan.
No we don’t really have any Asian, Korean shows that I know of.
Really waiting for sequel to Binding13. Soooo good. Still can’t stop thinking about it and I’m up to my 3rd book since I read it.
I currently reading The coincidence of Callie and Kayden. It’s ok. Good. Just I need more. Like excellent.
Alright!! That’s it!! I just one-clicked Binding 13 and I’m starting it now, for anyone that wants to buddy-read with me. I can’t take the buzz here anymore, I MUST feel the feels too!!! 😛 😉
I was just curious because of the closer proximity and in the ep some if the cast was recognized.
Ok.
Do you all see how easily I agree to these things?
Even if it is 900 pages?
RIGHT?? ALMOST 900 freaking pages!!! GASP!! It might take me forever, but if I’m totally into it, I might surprise myself and devour it (that’s what I want!!)
I used to love when books for at least 500 pages because it meant if it was good, I could “live in their world” longer.
Hmm. Binding 13 isn’t KU and its close to 900 pages and ends on a cliffhanger?! I. Think. Not. 😉
Maryse, I do agree if the book is great I don’t want it to end and love that it is longer.
Which is why you should try Gan.
Look I rec’d a book.
bev *snort* You did. I need to read it. I have it!
Maryse–I’m starting it today too!
FYI–Just got back from Wal-Mart and am adding my Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer to my coffee right now!!
And me with my occasional horror-movie breaks… so we’ll be in time with each other. 😀
Just remember I read slower than you all.
0lus a lot of dramas to catch up on, lol.
So many new ones will be starting this and next month. I kind of hope I dont like some if them. It’s like having too many in the tbr pile.
So dual POV. I dont mind that but wonder about Maryse & Nay?
Maryse one of the new dramas made me think of you. It looks freaky. Like scary freaky. At least to me. I dont know if I can watch it, though loved one of the leads since Coffee Prince. He is so handsome.
Oh, this:
https://www.dramabeans.com/2018/08/casting-out-demons-with-kim-jae-wook-and-kim-dong-wook-in-hand-the-guest/
Oh bev that is RIGHT up my alley!!!!!!
bev–my goal was to stay away from dual POV this year, but it’s turned out that I’ve read what appeals to me. So I’ll read it but would still rather not have the male POV (in most cases–sometimes it works).
Agreed Nay… I will read this because it’s probably done right (and I’ve enjoyed dual POVs before) but boy do I love a good single POV all the way through (especially female).
Oh no, Binding 13 has a CH? 😕 And here I was all excited to read it…
Maybe you guys can tell me how bad the CH is…like, leading-into-the-next-book CH or freak-the-freak-out CH?
On a show I watch someone has a new haircut. Am I the only one that when you see someone with a new cut it makes you want to go to the salon?
Amy, lol. Yo dont mind endings that end in death but can’t handle a CH. I mean ml one of those there is no coming back from.
Jeannine Allison put her book, Unveiling the Sky, on sale for $1.49 for National Suicide Prevention Week and will be donating 100% of the proceeds made between September 9-15, 2018 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention!
I know, bev. *sigh* One p!sses me off and the other breaks my heart but I love it. It’s better not to try and figure me out. 😛
About the haircut though, I get it. I lost SO much hair recently (because of rapid weight loss) and my hair looked awful, so I chopped it off after finding all sorts of adorable short hairstyles on Pinterest. I went from mid-back length and scraggly to shoulder length and healthy, so now I’m starting over.
Do it, bev. Go the salon.
Amy–I did the same thing when most of my hair fell out. I bleached it platinum blonde so that my lily white scalp wouldn’t glow under my dark brown hair and cut it super short and in layers. It was nice to be able to gel and go, but I hate myself with short hair, so it’s now long again.
Did you ever get that biotin? Within 2 weeks after I switched back to my old brand, my nails stopped splitting and I was having to cut them again because they were growing so fast.
I love a bob. I usually keep it above my shoulders. But, I dont know, just feel like growing it….for now.
But something about a new haircut. As long as it’s a good one. I hate the feeling of knowing it’s not going to be great as you get it cut, lol.
Ok, only on chapter 3.
It’s going ok, but never too fond of the, “I have “insert beautiful features here” so I know I’m ugly.” trope.
Nay, I did get some of the biotin you suggested…two bottles from Amazon, in fact! I am losing a lot less hair right now, and I don’t know if it’s from the biotin or just coincidence but either way I am staying on that brand of biotin for the foreseeable future. 😉
I might have to jump on the Binding 13 reading train – moving it to the top of the list. I’m reading Wardrobe Malfunction right now. This weekend I finished Hard Sell and One More Moment – both were good solid 4* reads.
I’m only 7% in but a little worried about insta love. Not that I’m totally against the trope, but it makes me worried about the pacing for such a long book.
OMG You was fantastic!!! I loved it!
R. that’s so funny, I was going to say that’s an hour I’ll never get back. :>
Did you read it? I was just talking to a friend about it saying if you didn’t read it, it may not translate.
Wait.
Are you all watching TV?
I did!! Crazy right?? But full disclosure…the TV was already on because of football…
Did not read it, just watched. I think the main thing is committing to a full season and then it’s already been renewed for next year.
