Harlequin has just announced the semi-finalists for So You Think You Can Write, and you can read all 55 for free on Wattpad. Some great looking stuff in there, from some of our favorite writers and some new ones who could definitely be the next big thing. Help pick the winner by voting on the first story part (aka the synopsis) and clicking the star button. Simple, right?

If cooler weather puts you in the mood to write all. night. long – check out this short story writing contest about Confessions, co-hosted by XOXO After Dark for their online convention #XOXOConnects.

Also, we’ve been seeing lots of searches for lesbian stories lately, so we put together a list of Lesbian Romance reads, all in a nice little package, just for you.

A Different Kind of Us,  a story from the above list, looks super cute and new-adult-y, we think you might be into it.

And RED, a student-teacher romance by Nicole Collet has been hugely popular on Wattpad (1.9 million reads!), and I’m loving how it’s been called the thinking woman’s 50 Shades of Grey because of how it addresses psychology, neuroscience and philosophy.

I’ve also been barrelling through Someone Like You by Maxine Donner. It’s made me laugh out loud so many times. The main character feels like any one of my best friends and her love interest sounds seriously hot, and charming to boot.
