Jud is looking for this one and I love the sound of it. Sounds angsty (which I LOVE!!) and does it sound at all like… a Kate Stewart book? Like Drive? It’s been a few years since I read it, so probably not.

I’m looking for the title of a book I read a couple of years ago.
Boy meets girl in a small town, they fall in love. Boy wants to be a musician, he’s deemed not good enough by the parents of the girl. They decide to run away together but things don’t work out (bad luck).

Harlequin has just announced the semi-finalists for So You Think You Can Write, and you can read all 55 for free on Wattpad. Some great looking stuff in there, from some of our favorite writers and some new ones who could definitely be the next big thing. Help pick the winner by voting on the first story part (aka the synopsis) and clicking the star button. Simple, right?

Anna: I looove Wattpad, really. Oh, I’m currently reading one of the books mentioned here: “Kissed” by Carla Krae, it’s amazing <3 I’m reading a lot on Wattpad, sometimes more than on my Kindle lol.
Remember that post from a few weeks ago, where I (and a bunch of us) were re-introduced to Wattpad (Recommended free reads on Wattpad!)? I knew about it, because some of our favorite authors post free novellas and even full-on free stories and serials on there, but there are so many book-length stories just waiting to be discovered.
I’m feeling so nostalgic… ’cause it reminds me of when I first realized that there was a whole “indie-new-adult” world, out there. Awesome stories just waiting to be discovered.
Wattpad is where so many of our favorite authors started… posting their works in progress, their fan fiction, and their completed stories for all of us book-lovers to read! FREE. I said it. Everything on there is free for us to read, and the author put it there! Some of them even post free novellas (from their popular series). Like Colleen Hoover (I linked hers up below). 😀
It kind of reminds me of Fictionpress, in fact, which I was obsessed with back in 2009 (when I was looking to read more of the Sookie & Twilight worlds, and discovered all of that fan fiction) to 2011, when I discovered more “bad boy” romance. Where I indulged my senses in my beloved romance angst love triangles, a la Thoughtless, and Avoiding Commitment, and even Fifty Shades of Grey (although back then it was called “Master of the Universe” on that site. Yep! Some of ’em started as “free reads” for me, back in the day on sites like Wattpad!
