Gift package 1 is really great, but if gift package two is just as good. I really like both. It will be a great Christmas present for me.
I found a Billy Joel vinyl that had the alb cover and actual record made into artwork and gave it to my best friend of over 20 years. It was the perfect gift because we’ve shared a love of his music since we were little girls and she’s now a music teacher! These giveaways are so much fun!
My all time fave gift was/is my Kindle! I’ve come across so many amazing books from authors I’d not normally see in our small town grocery store! My Kindle is always with me wherever I go! Thanks for the great giveaway!!!

Can’t wait to tell my husband at Xmas this year that our family is going from 2 to 3 🙂
Ok, this is going to sound really bizarre (and it is), but true story! An old boyfriend of mine received his mother’s uterus that was frozen in a large mason jar. I was recording it as he opened the ‘gift’ and the look on his face was priceless!! The reason for the gift was that the family moved around a lot and my boyfriend always said his mother was his first home.
That family had a sick sense of humor! 😉
Best gift I ever gave was a saddleback bag for my husband, he’d had his sites on one for awhile. Basically begging for it every few days. 🙂
Hmmmmmmmmmmm this is a tough one. The only thing I can think of is the jewelry I make for gifts to give people because they are special and unique and the ones on the receiving end seem to really like them 🙂
i gave my daughter a pair of ear rings that she had wanted for years.
This year we’re giving our immediate family (hubby, me, and three sons) a ski trip instead of actual gifts. We decided we wanted memories instead of more stuff. We live in Texas so this will be our first white Christmas ever. 😀
Four years ago, my husband and I gave in and surprised our three kids., with two little, adorable Lab puppies. We consider them family and love them dearly to this day. That was an awesome and memorable gift to give. it turned out to be the best gift ever for all of us 😉
Concert tickets for my daughter. She was so excited.
Best Gift I gave was this year, it was given early because my in law’s tv was going out . We got them a big 51 inch , set it up while they were gone. The look on their faces said it all. Made my Christmas this year.
My daughter was born right before Christmas <3 best present ever !!!!
Being stationed away from my mom I decided to surprise her by going home for Christmas, with my then 8 month old son. Joke was on me because she just had a a baby and NEVER told me. Kept it a secret and was planning on telling me I had a little brother (who is younger than my son) on New Years…my mom has a dark sense of humor…:/
Two years ago we surprised our kids with a puppy. It was always one of my Xmas dreams that never happened. The funny part is… My daughter was still sleepy when she came downstairs and yelled “a pig you got us a pig”. She thought it was a baby pig. Lol
A few years ago I gave my husband a planer that he had been wanting…the look on his face was priceless – he thinks I never listen to him or I would know what is was (tools are not my thing)!
Great giveaways!
The one gift I think I rocked was a pair of Nike Airmax 95 sneakers my husband had wanted since he was a teenage. He was so happy and surprised!
I give some of my close friends a Mix CD each year – i search itunes for all types of music that have meaningful lyrics and collect them through the year just for a “personal” gift.
My husband gave his kidney stone to one of his friends at work! Which is funny and gross at the same time!
My Ugg boots. I live in Upstate NY (Close to Canada) we get so much snow and it is really cold out. I never knew I wanted them or would love them so much… Perfect for where I live.
I’ll never forget on Christmas last year giving my 16 yr old daughter “The Brazilian Butt Lift” workout DVD’s that she asked for because when she opened that gift she got a huge smile then burst out crying and saying “OMG, mom you got me the Brazilian Butt Lift!”. She was so excited and happy about that gift it kinda boggled my mind but she thought she wasn’t getting it so she was very surprised. It is a great memory. 🙂
I’m hoping this Christmas will be the best gift ever. My son is a WWE fanatic and I got tickets to the live Monday night Raw in our area. I think he will be over the moon excited!!!
The best gift we gave was surprising our daughter a couple of Christmases ago with an electric guitar.
This year my gifts to both my parents. I am in a situation were I get to pay them back in a big way for all the amazing gifts they have given me. I got my dad a bose wave that he was eyeing (split it with my mom) but didn’t feel he should get because of the cost. Then my mom is getting an iPad mini which she thought would be cool but when she heard the price she figured was out of the question unless she bought it for herself. I am hoping both for shocked faces from both.
When my oldest daughter got her license she asked for a car for Christmas that year. So we bought her a convertible. We put the keys in a jewelry ring box and wrapped them. We put the keys on a key chain with her name on it. When she opened that gift her face lit up. You could see she was so excited. She was actually speechless, which is a miracle. She ran outside and opened the garage door and found her car parked in the driveway. Imagine her surprise when it was a convertible display collectible toy car and not a car to drive. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She ended up laughing and still does today. Her baby brother asked for a car this year so we’ll have to see what he gets.
The one I will never forget giving was a copy of the coat that was worn in my hubby’s fav movie. He didn’t even know you could buy them and was beyond surprised.
I got my husband lime green beats by Dre headphones – I caught him looking at them in a store, and he was so surprised to get them that he had a huge grin. He uses them all the time!

I got my husband a hair clipper… Now I keep giving every month with a hair cut – he loves the savings. He said was the best gift ever !!! LOL
The best christmas present I gave was a Pandora bracelet with 3 charms to my mother. Me and my sister had each received one from our friends/husbands and my mom kept saying she wanted one. My sisters and I got her one and we each got her a charm that represent eqch one of us. She kept asking if we could take her to the store so she could buy one for herself but we made excuses each time. She was in tears when she opened her present and saw her bracelet with 3 different charms.
I gave my ex a plane ticket to see his family one year. He had been estranged and they had just recently reconnected. He was having a hard time with not being able to get home for the holidays. We went and he had one of the best holidays he could remember.
I am most excited for a gift I am giving my son this year. He has been in love with fish for almost a year so I am giving him his own tank, instead of him seeing them at the stores or aquarium. Most memorable gift I have already given would be a massage for my mom, it was her first and she loved it so much.
I bought my husband an hour of racing time in a Ferrari for his birthday as a surprise while in cancun. He was totally shocked!!
I gave my sister these boots that were so hard to find! I had to go to so many stores and scour the internet for them. I finally found them on a random website and managed to have them ship in time for xmas. She was ecstatic when she opened her present. it made the tedious search worthwhile.
Jess
I met my husband at an artist’s opening at an art gallery. After we married I gave him our favorite painting by that artist. We still cherish it 30 years later.
I took my husband to Atlantic City to see a show he’d been dying to see.
We do a family picture calendar each year. Its always a favorite to give. We all enjoy seeing how much (esp kiddos) change through out the year!
Probably giving my daughter her first electronic game. She had been asking for 2 years for a Nintendo DS and I kept telling her no your too young and she kept saying well everyone on the bus has one and I want to play too. But I kept saying no. Well for her birthday this year I finally gave in and got her one, she was so shocked and surprised, I just loved seeing the happiness on her face.
My best Christmas gift ever was my daughter, born on Christmas Day. I’d like package #1.

I’m getting my mom a mothers ring this year. Even though she hasn’t got it yet, I know she’s gonna love it. She’s wanted one for years and I’m finally able to get it for her!
The one gift I’ll never forget giving was a shadow box with my husband’s military/war medals. My husband is a Marine and Desert Storm veteran. For years, he had his medals just sitting in a sealed bag in his closet. When I found a way to beautifully and proudly display them, I made it my mission to give this gift to him. His eyes watered when he opened my gift. It was truely a special memory for both of us.
My husband is a big deer hunter and one year I drew him a picture of some deer and got it custom framed. Used to draw quite a bit but haven’t lately. Reading and quilting sucks up most of my time now!

My most unforgettable Christmas gift to myself and my spouse was my daughter born on December 24th. She was overdue and the doctor was going to induce after Christmas, but she decided to make an entrance when most of our family was out of town and the one doctor in the practice I’d never seen was the only doctor on call for the holiday:) She is almost 18 and still a bit of a drama queen!

I love this give away. Especially, since this series is one of my favorites that i re read alot. And anxiously await the next book to come out. I have thought alot about the 55 xmas’s ive experienced so far, and i think my fav. gift, to have given, was…I lived on the southeast coast, many yrs ago, and i was extremely sick, due to pregnancy, but, i made sure i drove all the way to Ks. that christmas, way back in 86, to see my grandparents. My grandfather was so ill, in hospital, and when i walked into his room, that christmas day, he started to cry, telling me, that us coming to see him was the best present he could have ever gotten. I stayed with him, for a long time that evening, visiting. Very early the next am, before i could get back to hospital, he passed away. My grandmom told me, she believed, he had been hanging on, just waiting for me to get there. It humbled me, and broke my heart at the same time. So, sometimes, the best gift you can give, is of yourself, more than any money you can spend on gifts. Merry Christmas.
The best gift I ever gave was to my husband. Money had been really tight and I sold some extra handmade items off and on throughout the year to get him a ticket to a Texans game.
The best Christmas gift we ever gave was a full surgery for a child in a foreign country who was born with a cleft lip and palate. Since one of our children also had a cleft lip and palate we knew how life changing this surgery would be. My children learned that giving could be even better than receiving!
My brother who was 16 or 17 at the time asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told him an ornament so he looked at a lot of stores until he found the perfect one for his big sister. A snowman who 10 years later hangs proudly on my tree upfront and center.

Last year we got my daughter an iPod touch. When she opened it she was crying and of course I started crying.
A few years ago I made some jellies and jams and bought flavored coffees for my mother in law. I made her a little basket. The best gift I’ve ever given was to my daughter. We got her twin husky puppies for Christmas last year. She had been begging for a husky puppy for years and when she turned 12, we finally decided that she was old enough to take care of a puppy by herself. She was so excited when she opened the first box with the first puppy but when she opened the second box with the other puppy in it, she just sat down and cried. We couldn’t separate the sister puppies, so we just got both of them. She named them Raine and Skye, and she has been a great “mommy” to both of them. Great giveaway!

Two years ago my husband and I got my grandmother a Kindle. It was just the regular one, but all she would use it for was reading, anyway. She loves to read and usually gets book recommendations from me, so I added her to my Amazon account so we can share. She doesn’t have a computer or anything. No one has ever gotten her such a nice, “un-practical” gift and she bragged to everyone about it. The best part was seeing how excited and purely happy it made her.

I had a friend who had read a book of mine that had been out of print for a little over 20 years and she begged me for my copy but to be honest,I just couldn’t give it up as it was the only copy I had and knew it was unavailible so I tried to think of something she would like as well.I had told this story to a lot of people and one day I get a call from a friend who said she was in a bookstore that was in Lake of the Ozarks right outside of a little tiny town and I asked her if she would buy it and mail it to me and she said that she would like to but they were leaving for Hawaii and would be gone for 3 months and she was afraid it would get lost.So I talked to the store owner and told her that it was a 5 hour drive and I wanted to get if for my friend for Christmas and she said she would hold it for 2 days but then the store was being closed for the winter as she and her husband were elderly and went to Florida for the winter,so even though it was very cold and snowing and the roads in the Lake of the Ozarks are all windy and twisting and you can’t see around the car in front of you,but I got up at 4am and drove all the way there from Kansas City and purchased the book, then drove all the way back in bad weather and by the time I got home if had snowed about 6 inches and it was scary. But on Christmas Day when she opened the package and saw the book (which she assumed I gave her my copy till I told her the truth) it was all worth it because she was so excited.Looking back I can’t believe I spent 10 hours on the road in the snow to get a book that at the time only cost $5.99 regular but I got it half-price for $3.00 though I spent 5 times that much on gas but even now I get a really warm feeling when I think about it because she still treasures that book and rereads it every year at Christmas.Oh the things we will do in out youth just to make someone happy!!!!!!

The Christmas gift I remember giving was to everyone in my family. I was 8 years old and my brother Bill and I went Christmas Caroling in our neighborhood. Neighbors gave us money and we went to a little store by our house and bought everyone gifts. My parents and siblings, brother inlaws nieces and nephew were so surprised, and I was just so proud to give that year, it still warms my soul, the memories are the warmest hug I always feel.

My husband and I usually don’t exchange Christmas gifts but last year he bought me a Kitchenaid stand mixer. He said “Well, you wanted one and you always do everything nice for everyone else and make sure our family has a great Christmas, so I wanted to get it for you.” He’s the best!!!!

Many years ago my then young sons loved Sesame Street & we bought them the play house with the people for Christmas. It is now a vintage toy, & all my Grand-kids have played with it. It sure doesn’t look new, but many kids have played with it over the years, & my husband & I say it is the best toy we ever bought.
I was a little girl then but I remember my dad being sick on Christmas morning and instead of giving him the pre-designed card I always gave him (LOL) my mom and I made some warm soup and tasty cinnamon buns for him! Nothing beats food! 😀

Giving myself a Nook was the best gift ever.
I would love package # 2! Amazon GC whoop whoop! ! 🙂
One of my favorite Christmas memories of gift giving was when I was a little girl. I remember the Santa Shop coming to our elementary school and letting the children buy gifts for their parents. I picked out a necklace with a heart and fake diamond for my mom. I remember being SO PROUD of it and SO excited to give it to her!! (I’m pretty sure it was a 3$ cheap necklace) but she wore it proudly for a long time!
My IPad – I use it all the time
The best gift we have given will be this year and it will be to my daughter. She is a huge One Direction fan and she and I will be going to that concert(her first) in August in Chicago. We are going to spend the day and night there. She is even going to miss a day of school which I do not allow for anything but a death or serious illness. She will be sooooooo excited.
Thanks for the give away. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The gift was for my husband. I bought him Disney stock, with framed certificate. He loved it – I had never seen a reaction from him like that before. It was so cute! We are huge disney fans, visiting Disney World a couple times per year.
We gave our son, 4 years old, a stuffed green dinosaur and he was upset because it wasn’t the one he wanted. It broke my heart! Who knew they had preferences, even at that age.
Last year I gave my Dad a Circulation Booster. He was able to get back that skip in his step that he’d been missing for a while due to some circulation issues. That brought me so much joy and isn’t that the goal of giving 🙂
The best christmas gift that I have given was a scrapbook of my two children and their grandparents and great grandparents. This was given to my Mother-in-Law. We had just lost two of the great-grandparents (one on Thanksgiving and one 2 weeks later). This was the only gift that I have given that has made her cry, memories that will be cherished for a life time!
I was young but maybe about 16 because I must have been able to drive. My mom still did the santa thing even though my brother and I were well beyond that age. I laid in bed awake until I heard my mom put out the presents and go to bed. Then I got up and added some presents for my mom from Santa. She was soooo surprised the next day. 🙂
One gift that I will never forget giving is when my sister and I had our pictures done professionally and gave them to my mom for christmas. She was so happy that it brought tears to her eyes

Best gift I’ve ever given wasn’t a Christmas gift- it was my positive pregnancy test for my oldest. Hubs got it on Father’s Day. 8)
Most memorable gift was the year my boys wanted the Wii. It was so popular and hard to get. I waited in line for hours in the freezing cold. One and only time I did that. It was worth it. They were so excited.
I will never forget my strawberry shortcake bike when I was four
The best gift I have given is the home-made calendars from Shutterfly. I get such great reactions each time I give one! My sisters and I had our parents wedding photo (which was 40 years ago) blown up to a 16×20 print and framed for them to hang by all of our wedding pictures! 🙂
Hi Maryse
The first Christmas that the Wii came out it sold out everywhere. My son was young then and really wanted it. On Christmas Eve which also happens to be his birthday, I went to Walmart and just asked the lady in Electronics if they had any Wii. I thought this is futile but what the heck! She then whispered to me “we just got 7 in” .I could not believe it and I was still standing there still shell shocked as she went to the receiving area to retreive it. As I saw her return I noticed she was carrying an object wrapped in brown paper. It was all so cloak and dagger but my son had a great birthday/ Christmas!
The best gift I have ever given was a this camera that my husband wanted and was really hard to find. He was super excited about it!!
The best gift I’ve ever given was when my husband was deployed to Iraq. My 2nd grade class made Christmas cards and ornaments for his unit to decorate for Christmas! The troops were deeply moved and my class got a return letter thanking them for their kindness!
I am excited to give my two kiddos kindle fires for Christmas this year. They will probably use it for apps, but hopefully it will get them to read some more!
The best gift I have given was a lighter to my husband 5 years ago for Christmas. We were teenage lovers and in a fit of jealousy I threw his precious lighter in a sink of water so I went looking for it on eBay and found it. I figured a gift that was lost 20 years ago is a good gift. Happy holidays to everyone.
I will never forget giving my daughter the Baby Butterscotch pony she wanted, but didn’t think she would get.
Thank you!
The best gift I have ever given was to my parents 10 years ago. I bought them a remote start for one of their vehicles. They gave me some money to buy my first house earlier that year, so I wanted to get them something special. After loving the convenience of it, my dad had one put in their other car too.
The best gift I have give was a 2 day motorcycle race track course for my husband. He was so excited. Little did I realize it would be a motivater to lose weight. The bikes for the course were racing bikes and he’s was a big guy (over 6 feet 300 lbs) he felt he should be 50 lbs lighter to ride. He lost the 50 in time to ride and kept going to lose 50 more. Happy holidays!!
Most memorable Christmas present was a puppy we
bought for our kids one Christmas. The kids had been wanting
a dog and we kept going to the local shelter to look at dogs
and we decided on a Wheaten Terrier – it was flown in
from Ohio and 3 days before Christmasy husband picked it up
from the airport and came home with it – the look on the kids
faces was priceless – they were not expecting it at all
The best present I’ve given was a blanket for an aunt who took us under her wing when our mom died. The blanket had a poem about get being more than just an aunt.

The most memorable Christmas present in our house was the motorcycle my brother received…It was parked under the tree, in front of the tree and in front of all the other presents…Talk about overshadowing!
Either would be super for the holidays, since I have now purchased, paid for and wrapped my own gift from my husband his take on this was I was guaranteed to get what I wanted, strangely this is the same man who proposed to me on Christmas, entire family present, talk about pressure, of course I said you betcha!

Well out of 25 people she just happened to be the one who picked the gift and opened it lol. No one stole her gift do she got to go home with it. It was so funny.

Wow a lot of great stories/gifts I’ve read!! I guess my very favorite is giving my son my journal that I wrote for him when we found out we were pregnant & I continued up until he was a teenager! It has many wonderful memories, mementos, life lessons everything I treasured I wrote down! Just a part of my legacy to pass down!! Thanks!!!!!
The one gift that I will not forget giving – is the very first Christmas present that I gave my now husband. We had been dating for only a couple of months and we were both poor college student – so I wanted to find the perfect gift that was not too expensive. It was on Amazon that I found the perfect gift – the complete first season of The Simpsons on DVD. It had only just been released, it was less then $20.00 with a minimal charge for shipping and it showed that I paid attention to the things that he liked (he was and still is a big fan of The Simpsons – the first ten seasons). We exchanged gifts before we left to go back to our families for Christmas break. I remember the looks on his face when he got his gift opened. His facial expressions changed from a look of surprise to happiness and then finally to a look of love. It was in that moment that I knew I had found the guy for me – we have been together for a little over 12 years (married almost 9 years of the 12).
Thank you for the giveaway! I would like the gift pack #2.
My mom is the most giving person I’ve ever known. She never takes time for herself, always helping others. Shes never even had time to organize her old photos, most of which were sitting in a box in her basement. I took the pictures, uploaded them and made her a calendar full of photos of my brothers and I growing up. Also included some of her from her teen years. Though it was supposed to be about her kids, the last page was my favorite. It included a picture of her holding her 3 granddaughters for the first time. The emotion on her face in them is priceless. I was so happy to be able to do something for her. And, I still have her photos and plan on organizing and putting them in albums for her.
I will always remember giving my husband the Seven Year Itch DVD for our 7th anniversary. I told him that if he was to ever get an ‘itch’ that I would be the one to scratch it or else. 😉
Tattoo for my Hubbie!!!!
The best gift I have ever received was my dachshund from my father.
My best friend mentioned that she would love to have blue boots for her wedding. She didn’t really say anything else about it, but I immediately started looking. I surprised her with them at her wedding shower (found them on Craig’s List of all places!) and she was so happy! <3
One year I decided to prank my friend by giving her gifts she couldn’t use. Her expressions were priceless and her real gift were tickets to see Maroon 5. She was so happy.
Best gift had to be the year I saved up and gave my boyfriend (at the time) the guitar that he wanted. He also saved up for it but I was able to get it before he did. He was devasted when he went to get it and found it was sold. He was so upset that I almost told him i bought it. Im glad i didn’t because his reaction on Christmas day was priceless.
The best gift I have ever given was to my husband (fiancé at the time). I gave him his first iMac. He is addicted to anything computer related. It was completely unexpected. I cut out a picture of the iMac from a magazine and put it in a tiny envelope. The actual box was hidden in the other room. His face was SO cute when he opened the envelope. He did not know what to think. I loved being able to give him that surprise.
My three sister in laws and I made my mother law a picture slide show of her life. Including her fab music for the background. Took weeks to get the pica together scanned in and placed in age order then set the music up to it. But so worth it, she laughed cried and smiled. Priceless.
The best gift I have ever given was being able to tell my husband we were pregnant with baby number 2 because our first son passed away at 7 days old.
Ok….so I’m totally giving away my old age here, but….a cabbage patch doll from back in the day when they first came out and women were running each other over in the aisles (no internet shopping back then ladies…OMG!) to purchase one!!!! I totally knew I was gonna be left out in the cold, without the infamous doll; however, my sweet angel of a momma came to the rescue! Oh what a merry Christmas that was! Gotta love mommas:)
Always Thankful…
~Kendra
The hands-down best gift was to my husband: tickets to Michigan v Notre Dame’s Under the Lights game in 2012. For those of us who suffer through our loved one’s obsession with their alma mater’s football team, reaction was priceless. LOL.
Best gift I’ve given was the first year I was engaged to my now-husband… he came home with me for Christmas and I gave him an Ohio State t-shirt and hat to initiate him into the family 🙂 It was the meaning behind it all, as we are all Buckeye fans, and you have to be one to be in our family!
