<— Well… I couldn’t help myself. I jumped in. I loved this author’s other “temptation” series (my review), and this one (similar theme, but different circumstances) is already hurty. YAY ME!!! I’m at 25% of Specimen and it’s so good! But—of course—it’s the amazing Shay Savage!
Fabi, I’m reading Specimen too and I have time to read tonight yey π
She’s awesome!!!
Ahh, thanks for including Slip of the Tongue, Maryse! Lots of tempting 1-clicks on the list. Appreciate the shoutout. Enjoy the story π
Oh… so far I am!!! π
Not. Cool. KU so *shrugs* moving on…
Michelle? What happened?
Bev, a semi-CH/abrupt ending with no plans to write another book. In the author’s note she says something like you’ll have to use your imagination and she wasn’t sure where the story was going…yeeaahhhh that’s evident!
Which book Michelle? I thought you’re KU comment was Kindle Unlimited.
That is not cool. I would be upset.
I thought it was Specimen.
It will break my heart if it is.
Oh that stinks when an author does that.
I’m inhaling book 3 of “The Ground Rules” and it’s killing me. When can we chat and rant??? I am going to need to lean on my fellow readers for support, I just know it!!!
After reading Ricochet, The Ground Rules Undone and The Lie this week I need something easy funny and or sweet. Any recommendations? I’ve read Emma Chase, Alice Clayton, Tara Sivec and Meghan Quinn.
Sharon, a spoiler discussion group was created for GRU. I vented there last. Nice to know I’m not the only one frustrated with that book.
Sharon I created the spoiler discussion group for GRU because I knew there were going to be some strong reactions to this book. I needed to vent myself and needed to share my feelings and thoughts with others. I plan on responding to everyone’s responses later today since I’m stuck at work now. π I will say that in the hundreds of books that I have read, NEVER did I have such a strong reaction until now. I even wrote my first review on Amazon because of it. We’ll leave it at that! I’ll see you ladies in the discussion forum! π
Cristina I read your review. I agree. I had a really hard time with this series. It got to me emotionally. I guess because I could understand and “feel” where Mirella was coming from. The fantasy and reality of this arrangement are two different things. I asked my hubby if he could do this and while he said it would certainly be intriguing and exciting on some level, the jealousy and insecurities would eat away at him. I think that’s exactly how I felt while reading this story. As far as the ending, convenient.
I did plan to read Slip of The Tongue, but don’t think I can deal with another love triangle right now. I’m with Stephanie, I need a lighthearted/funny read.
Ummm it was a book that may start with S and have an author with the initials S.S. :/
…*cringes* sorry?
Where’s Tessa? I’m reading a so far pretty good YA paranormal that’s KU. Charcoal Tears by Jane Washington. It’s kinda mysterious so not sure where it’s going exactly but I’m already very into it π
Oh and Tessa it has a Ghostbird series by CL Stone feel
O…M…G!!! I’ve been waiting for this book forever ! No way ! *busts into soulful tears*
That does it. Sci-Fi did me wrong today. Dystopian is going to do me wrong if I keep reading. I’m going back to MM. It’s the only safe place around any more.
Haha nooo Fabi finish Morning Star at least. I dunno, Specimen was cool but I needed an ending. I feel like it just stopped. None of the story or subplots were resolved, just a lot of sex and staging *shrugs*
I’m at 65% of Specimen. You know how I am about endings. Pet peeve central here. idk – gah – it’s my favorite author…
I’ll definitely finish the last 10% of Morning Star. Next week probably since I only listen in the car to and from work.
I didn’t like Commodity either. So maybe I should read the Caged series soon since I know you and many others liked that one.
I wasn’t a fan of Commodity either. The Caged series on the other hand, I LOVED.
