<— Well… I couldn’t help myself. I jumped in. I loved this author’s other “temptation” series (my review), and this one (similar theme, but different circumstances) is already hurty. YAY ME!!! Perfect husband, or at least… at one time he was, until he can barely stand to be near her. Stays out late. Has lost that loving feeling. And then a new neighbor moves in… Eeeeep!

*squeee*!!! Look what Kim found us!! The Letters: A Carnage Novella by Lesley Jones!! This one just went LIVE! :D

Kim “OMG!!! Lesley Jones has a new book! The Letters- A Carnage Novella…. I think it’s time for a little more angst”

➜ And here’s the first 3 books in the series, bundled and STILL super-bargain priced: The Complete Carnage Collection: Carnage 1, 2 and Marley by Lesley Jones!!

Plus… a few more that sound pretty good, too!

  1. Slip of the Tongue by Jessica Hawkins <— TEMPTATION ALERT! She’s feeling abandoned by her husband… and a new neighbor moves in.
  2. Tied Bond (Holly Woods Files, #4) by Emma Hart <— NOT A STANDALONE… but sounds unique. “Everything is going smoothly—too smoothly—and I can’t shake the feeling that something is about to happen. Drake insists I’m being paranoid…
  3. Blake’s Pursuit (Scanguards Vampires Book 11) by Tina Folsom <— VAMPIRE ROMANCE!
  4. Losing an Edge (Portland Storm Book 13) by Catherine Gayle <— HOCKEY PLAYER MEETS FIGURE SKATER ALERT!
  5. Indiscretions by Donna Hill <— LAWYERS and love…
  6. Blocked by Elise Faber <— HOCKEY PLAYER ALERT! “Brit finds that her carefully calculated disinterest doesn’t mask her body’s desires. The more she falls for Stefan, the more she risks her career…”
  7. Muse by Sommer Marsden <— SHE BECOMES A NUDE MODEL ALERT! “Life as a nude model wasn’t what Dani Young expected. It was all Chris’s idea. His art class was minus one model and her life needed a change—a big one…
  8. Specimen by Shay Savage <— SHAY SAVAGE ALERT!! (Need I say more). ;)I’m inexplicably drawn to the doctor who cares for me. She tells me I’ve been altered, that I’m stronger and faster, that I’ll be a key component in a war between corporations. She says I volunteered for this.
  9. Struck by J.M. Davis <— PARANORMAL “A stranger in the right place, at the right time, he not only rescues Abby from a destructive tornado, but also stokes her long-buried desires.”
  10. Untamed (A Bad Boy Secret Baby Romance) by Emilia Kincaid <— PREGNANT & ON THE RUN with his baby and he didn’t know… but “She never told me she was carrying our baby. I found out, anyway. I know her father is after her, wants to take her child… our child.”
  11. On Grace: A Novel by by Susie Orman Schnall <— SUPER-SALE and she’s turning 40 and has to start over… “Meet Grace, who is actually excited about turning 40 in a few months, that is, until her job, marriage, and personal life take a dizzying downhill spiral.”
  12. Named of the Dragon by Susanna Kearsley <— SUPER-SALE!! Dana found it for us!! :D
  13. Pushing the Limits by Brooke Cumberland <— STUDENT-TEACHER SUPER-SALE! “He’s my art professor. I’m his student. With an electric connection and undeniable chemistry, I know it won’t be long until one of us cracks.

I’m at 25% of Specimen and it’s so good! But—of course—it’s the amazing Shay Savage!

Michelle February 25, 2016 at 6:10 PM

Fabi, I’m reading Specimen too and I have time to read tonight yey :D

Maryse February 25, 2016 at 7:09 PM

She’s awesome!!!

Jessica Hawkins February 25, 2016 at 7:09 PM

Ahh, thanks for including Slip of the Tongue, Maryse! Lots of tempting 1-clicks on the list. Appreciate the shoutout. Enjoy the story :)

Maryse February 25, 2016 at 7:14 PM

Oh… so far I am!!! :D

Michelle February 25, 2016 at 8:34 PM

Not. Cool. KU so *shrugs* moving on…

bev February 25, 2016 at 10:57 PM

Michelle? What happened?

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 6:25 AM

Bev, a semi-CH/abrupt ending with no plans to write another book. In the author’s note she says something like you’ll have to use your imagination and she wasn’t sure where the story was going…yeeaahhhh that’s evident!

Fabi February 26, 2016 at 8:19 AM

Which book Michelle? I thought you’re KU comment was Kindle Unlimited.

bev February 26, 2016 at 8:25 AM

That is not cool. I would be upset.

bev February 26, 2016 at 8:31 AM

I thought it was Specimen.

Fabi February 26, 2016 at 8:49 AM

It will break my heart if it is.

Sharon February 26, 2016 at 9:48 AM

Oh that stinks when an author does that.

I’m inhaling book 3 of “The Ground Rules” and it’s killing me. When can we chat and rant??? I am going to need to lean on my fellow readers for support, I just know it!!!

Stephanie February 26, 2016 at 10:13 AM

After reading Ricochet, The Ground Rules Undone and The Lie this week I need something easy funny and or sweet. Any recommendations? I’ve read Emma Chase, Alice Clayton, Tara Sivec and Meghan Quinn.

Sharon, a spoiler discussion group was created for GRU. I vented there last. Nice to know I’m not the only one frustrated with that book.

Cristina February 26, 2016 at 11:22 AM

Sharon I created the spoiler discussion group for GRU because I knew there were going to be some strong reactions to this book. I needed to vent myself and needed to share my feelings and thoughts with others. I plan on responding to everyone’s responses later today since I’m stuck at work now. :-( I will say that in the hundreds of books that I have read, NEVER did I have such a strong reaction until now. I even wrote my first review on Amazon because of it. We’ll leave it at that! I’ll see you ladies in the discussion forum! ;-)

Cristina I read your review. I agree. I had a really hard time with this series. It got to me emotionally. I guess because I could understand and “feel” where Mirella was coming from. The fantasy and reality of this arrangement are two different things. I asked my hubby if he could do this and while he said it would certainly be intriguing and exciting on some level, the jealousy and insecurities would eat away at him. I think that’s exactly how I felt while reading this story. As far as the ending, convenient.

I did plan to read Slip of The Tongue, but don’t think I can deal with another love triangle right now. I’m with Stephanie, I need a lighthearted/funny read.

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 6:26 PM

Ummm it was a book that may start with S and have an author with the initials S.S. :/

…*cringes* sorry?

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 6:33 PM

Where’s Tessa? I’m reading a so far pretty good YA paranormal that’s KU. Charcoal Tears by Jane Washington. It’s kinda mysterious so not sure where it’s going exactly but I’m already very into it :D

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 6:46 PM

Oh and Tessa it has a Ghostbird series by CL Stone feel

Fabi February 26, 2016 at 6:51 PM

O…M…G!!! I’ve been waiting for this book forever ! No way ! *busts into soulful tears*

That does it. Sci-Fi did me wrong today. Dystopian is going to do me wrong if I keep reading. I’m going back to MM. It’s the only safe place around any more.

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 6:54 PM

Haha nooo Fabi finish Morning Star at least. I dunno, Specimen was cool but I needed an ending. I feel like it just stopped. None of the story or subplots were resolved, just a lot of sex and staging *shrugs*

Fabi February 26, 2016 at 7:01 PM

I’m at 65% of Specimen. You know how I am about endings. Pet peeve central here. idk – gah – it’s my favorite author…

I’ll definitely finish the last 10% of Morning Star. Next week probably since I only listen in the car to and from work.

Michelle February 26, 2016 at 7:10 PM

I didn’t like Commodity either. So maybe I should read the Caged series soon since I know you and many others liked that one.

Fabi February 26, 2016 at 7:22 PM

I wasn’t a fan of Commodity either. The Caged series on the other hand, I LOVED.
