It’s not a huge release day today… (yikes this is one of my shortest release-day lists in years). I’m thinking it’s ’cause we’re all Merry Christmasing and Happy Holidaysing this week. 😛

I am reading a book right now and I’m totally into it, but I’m still in the first 20% so I’ll let you know soon. I saw it floating around in the sales last week and there was something about this one (cover, title and blurb) that caught my attention. It caught my “mood” and I’ll tell you what… the writing is amazing!!! Very “rich” and exquisite in detail, but super-relatable. I *think* it’s gonna be awesome!! May even be a love story at some point ’cause she’s got a thing for her friend’s older brother… so I’m in! Tessa, if I remember the last was a bit complicated, but good. Since her uncle died new guy in charge if I remember and her old friends are in the middle. You should read when you get to it. I buy used books sometimes. Obviously, it puts all the last pieces to an end.
Personally, Jeaniene Frost was one of my favs. Still waiting for the last book in Vlad. I forget when this much time goes by. Not a re- reader. It was suppose to end with 3 books but changed to 4.

I am DEVOURING 18 by JA Huss. Nice and angsty just like I love them. A little naughty too – she is a student and he is 10 year older and a teacher. This isn’t a sugary kind of book. He is alpha and a little kinky and she is just so flawed. I don’t want it to be done.
Oh, I love Vlad’s story. The romance between him and Leila just gets me every time. It got a little slow in the last book, but I still want to read four. I want to read the last book of Cat and Bones, but I’m just so lost.
Sharon – I read 18, and was super excited by forbidden aspect… It just fell flat for me the second half. So much potential!

Ten sounds good! And so does The Good Daughters. Sometimes a smaller list is refreshing, it’s not too overwhelming for my tbr, lol. I have a question for you guys too, has anyone read Copygirl yet? Bev – I just finished “Simon..”. Marathon read. Do you know how many errands I have to run and here I am blushing like a school girl. I blame you for my messy house and I sure hope the grocery store still has some decent rolls left. ARGH. I adored this book. 5 stars! I may follow you down that YA road because it just had all the “feels”. LOVED IT.
Yay!!!! I just loved his pov. I only listened to the sample but think it might be a good choice for audible fans. I have to say I did think his friend had a right to have her feelings hurt. When the other three went out. I was like ugh that would hurt.

Yes, agreed, Bev. Didn’t quite get exactly why Leah was odd man out… Throughout the whole book, really. I was so sure I knew who Blue was. I was so wrong. I loved every word out of his cynical, snarky, witty, adorable mouth. Tiny school girl crush on the gay high schooler. Go figure.
I’ve been re- reading, ok skimming The Mighty Storm and Wethering the Storm in prep for reading The Storm. Can’t wait to find out what Jake f*&$ked up in his past that’s come back to haunt him and Tru!!

Tessa, about 25% through Cat and Bones. Don’t rush, she does a great job of explaining before each outtake but to tell you the truth it’s been so long I don’t remember the story anymore. They are talking about Hennessey and I don’t remember him. Must have been a big plot person – ugg.
I’m not going to re-read the series just because of this book.
So for it is nice to read but not a must read and I bet most if it was from outtakes on books you read.

Finished The Storm today, so not sure if that still qualifies as first line thursday. It was good, but not totally angsty like I thought it would be. What happens, happens fairly soon (it is a novella, so everything happens quickly). It does give more of Tru & Jake’s continued life together, and the ending was a surprise. Just not the kick in the gut I was gearing up for.

Fabi, It’s when you read a book and love it so that you delve right in to the author’s back list. Or like Ela reading all the Other series in a row. Say you read Surviving Rain then immediately into Transcendence, then the Evan books.
When I was a teen at the library did it all the time. Stacks of Nora Roberts Silhouette books, whole shelf of Garwood, Kleypas etc.
When I read At Peace I went on to Sweet Dreams and Mystery Man. I keep wanting to do it to the Kate Daniels series, lol.

Favorite author of 2015? I’m going to say it’s a tie between Grace Draven and Lauren Gilley. I was so impressed with Radiance that I will pay attention to what she writes. And LG is like my new KA. I love all her books so far. They are on my radar as of 2015.
