Finished The Baller and loved it! Brody is my new book boyfriend. He is naughty, has a dirty mouth but is so loyal and caring. I just love him. Great read!

What an AMAZING list! I was going to start KA Fantasyland Series next so yeah me!!!! I was also waiting for Free Falling to go on sale…I loved the first book as well! FYI, The Faraway series has had ALL 5 star reviews on Amazon. It really is that good! I’m so disappointed that I didn’t catch the release last week. BUT better late than never. 😉

And, the bigger news… I finished the Life of Anna series. *blink, blink* yep I did it, I made it all the way thru. I may be permanently scarred for life.. but I did it!

Cristina, I cannot wait for The Ground Rules 3 and book 3 of Risky Business!! Also, the 3rd book of Jewel E Ann’s Jack and Jill series-Dawn of Forever releases Feb. 18. Highly recommend all these!!! February is going to be a GREAT reading month!!

Tessa, I’m listening to Feverborn. Since I only get an hour or two of listening time/day Mon-Fri, it forces me to savor the book instead of fly through it like I normally would. Well, not as fast as some of you do…but still. So, no, I haven’t gotten to that part yet. I’m about halfway through chapter 3. Oh, and they switched out the narrators, so me (and a whole lot of other people) are totally bummed about it. Phil and Natalie were incredible in Burned and some of the other ones they narrated.

In Kindle, I’m on Chapter 4 of Baller and I am LOVING IT. There really should be a way to make a list in Kindle or on Amazon or somewhere of each of our favorite authors. I’m horrible with names and I’d love a way to keep track of some of these new(er) authors whose writing just really works for me you know? How do ya’ll keep track? Great memories? Spreadsheets? Stalking? lol

Amy, that one sounds INTENSE.

Treacherous: Carter Kids #1 by Chloe Walsh is free! Looks like a bully book and it’s one of those I’ve had a long while on my wishlist.

Fabi, did you finish Imp? They’re getting super addicting at book 3. I want to keep going but needed a mini-break. Did you ever finish LotBD? It’s as good as Gann maybe just not as exciting right out of the gate. Yey for The Baller though – Brody is doing it for me!

Michelle I haven’t finished those yet. I actually have a lot of books I need to finish up. I think I have ORD with a little ARD.

Grave Visions (Alex Craft Series Book 4) by Kalayna Price is for pre-order to be released February 2. She had some major personal stuff and couldn’t write for a while. Now, she has! Yeah! Her last book was released July 2011, so it’s been highly anticipated even though the wait is understandable.

Why did Delilah change so much? I really liked her at the beginning of Clubwhore but now she lost her spunk. This is a BDSM book which I didn’t know when I started reading it. Not that I mind BDSM but I was expecting something different. Oh well 30% more to go.

Congrats Grey!! Amazon gift cards are my golden ticket! There are a LOT of great books out there right now. I say it depends on what mood you’re in. I just finished book #8 of the Chicagoland Vampire series and ready to start book #9, but there are so many other ones that are catching my eye. I’ve been devouring this series like a good piece of chocolate cake! I started it on New Years Day and I’m already on book#9. They’re about 350 pages/piece. I stopped for The Score and Ricochet, but now I’m back at it. Usually I get bored this far in a series, but I’m not even close! I wish we could press pause on time and just cuddle up and read till our heart’s content. You’ll have your wine and I’ll have my coffee. 😉

Amy. Boy Toy by Jay McLean. It’s hilarious and not much in the way of angst. I absolutely loved it for it’s lightness and humor.

DG since you just finished Baller, would you tell Amy if it has any angst please? I’m on at 35% of it.

Tessa, Boy Toy. I’ve had that on my tbr forever. So, it’s really good huh? I need to move it up. I seem to be needing 1 light read for every 2-3 others lately.

Amy, I would consider it very low to no angst. There was no wringing hands, stomach drop, wanting to grab a tissue to mop the tears or sweat moments for me. Just sweet love – a little chase, a lot of towel dropping, maybe a little denial and a whole lot of loving. I loved, loved, loved Brody Easton’s bad boy self! There I said it! Move over Nick Sebring!

EEK! Anne I’m so excited for you!! I agree with Tessa that it is overlooked. I found it because it was suggested to me through Facebook. I love paranormal books so much and was ready for a good vampire story. It’s full of great plots, characters, villains, and of course, some romance. Have fun and let me know what you think! 🙂

Ladies, thanks so much for the feedback on Baller! I think I’m going with Cocky Bastard ’cause it sounds like it has an Edge of Never feel to it, but Baller will probably be my next 2016-click read. Seriously, what would I do without y’all here??

I am a reading The Baller and like it. Did you see the cover? Ok . . . Stop what you are doing and look at the cover. Closely. Do you see what I see? Yep, I see a lot of Brody. But you know what? It’s just not living up to the cover. It’s not nearly descriptive enough for me. Its just not wowing me like I want it to. I mean, I want to know how they feel when they are intimate. It just doesn’t do it. I will finish it and I am sure I would recommend it. But something is missing. I blame those darn hockey players. And you cannot start a book with dropping a towel, later to describe subway and not confirm. Dirty rant over.

Haha Sharon totally agree with the lack of description sans towel 😉 No but seriously there wasn’t enough details maybe intimately to really get inside their relationship. The 3rd POV introduced at about the 50% mark also irked me. I enjoyed it though for mostly Brody but it’s not her best book.

I went with book 4 of Imp…they are really addicting once you get rolling. I’m also a little broke after I keep buying them. At least they aren’t as expensive as Chicagoland Vampires!

Michelle, I agree with you. The 3rd POV was just not enjoyable. I want to finish The Baller so I can get to Appealed!

Sharon and Michelle…I completely agree with both of you. I finished The Baller a couple of days ago and needed sometime to ponder…
I agree that there just wasn’t enough detail about the H/h’s relationship to really feel their connection and the 3rd POV at 50% threw me, I didn’t want to know this POV or empathize with her at all! I kept thinking in any other book I would be cheering for a 2nd chance love but the 3rd wheel just ticked me off…and at the point that this 3rd wheel came into the story I wasn’t feeling any confidence in H/h’s relationship/connection. I really wanted to know what the conversation between 3rd wheel and H looked like after the h walks. I still enjoyed the book and finished it quickly but it doesn’t replace Beat or Throb for me.

Tessa I am scratching my head a little with the ending of Never Never and wondering if I didn’t *feel* it because it was so long between books I’d kind of fallen out of love with Silas and Charlie. Or I didn’t find their connection familiar if that makes sense. This is my personal issue mind you! I don’t do CH’s for this very reason…once I’ve stopped reading a book my care factor for the characters diminishes and I’m off on my next book falling in love with someone else.
My recommendation would be to read them back to back…then it would work. Which makes me wonder why it wasn’t released as a single book.

Anyone else have an opinion or thought…….

And Tessa that makes sense about why it wasn’t released as a single book…but I wonder if the authors feel like it should have been. Maybe one day it will be? Contracts don’t last forever.

I read the first Never Never but didn’t bother with the others. Not because I didn’t like it, but because the others weren’t published yet. By the time the other parts of the book came out I had moved way beyond the story. *shrug* Y’all know I can’t do that partial book thing unless all the parts are already published and I can read them back to back. If they’re all available its just an inconvenience. But, if parts of the story aren’t even available it does nothing but make me mad I wasted time on an unfinished book.

Are y’all tired yet of me getting on this same soapbox? Hell, I think I’M tired of me doing it.

In other news, I’m at 45% of Baller. I squirreled and read a short novella this evening. I’m debating going back to Baller or not.

Ok. So Ive finally set up my Goodreads profile and logged in all my books for this year…14 books read this month alone!! Ive set a challenge of 150 books this year but I feel cheeky counting Never Never 3 because it wasn’t really a book. *Shrugs*

The Imp Series by Debra Dunbar. It’s funny. The main character is a slumlord imp. It’ is great. She basically just wants to live her life without attracting angels. There is a lot of action and humor in it.

Tessa, I really am enjoying it so far! It’s giving me exactly what I was craving, the feels I used to get when I was obsessed with YA PNR books.

The last angel-themed series I read (at least that I can remember) was the Premonition series by Amy Bartol, and that was 3 years ago. She finally came out with the final book (after 3 years :?) but now I don’t remember enough and don’t really care enough to read it. Which sucks, because I remember really liking it. *sigh*

LOVE it! Everybody should have a Manny! Or a blankie…even if it has holes from the pup decided it might taste good….
