in Latest Book Releases

Many highly anticipated releases today including Mr. Rush-Crush over there. ;) Plus, we’re getting some real-time updates by our fellow readers as they read through their own one-clicks. And of course, their book-love is making me so excited for quite a few new ones.

Like the big-love for “Nowhere but Here” by one of my favs, Renee Carlino. Whoa. I think this one’s gonna do it for me (I posted the reader-reactions below).

Also, we’ve also got three new awesome sounding anthologies. One’s sexy, one’s bad-boy biker-y & one is full-on angsty, LOADED in contributions by our very favorite authors.

Lauren: So many bundles & boxed sets available this week. I’ve already bought 3.

Maryse’s Book Blog: I’ve one-clicked a few myself. :D

I noted ‘em below.

Plus quite a few other books that sound right up our alley. Like one of my absolute FAVORITE books that’s on sale right now. And… a recluse artist, a military hero that loves TOO hard, a famous rock star that shows up at her repair shop, a bad boy that broke her heart and now she’s stuck in an elevator with him (<— ruh roh!!), a culinary student that’s hot for her cooking instructor (heh! That one sounds funny!)… and I could go on and on. Right!!??? So many good-sounding ones. No worries. I noted ‘em all below, too. :D

BUT BUT BUT!!! Push <— THIS is the one I’m reading right now (’cause I’ve received only a couple of recs for this recent release, but boy are they convincing), and this is right up my alley, and what I’m in the mood for…

Skye: I started reading it and damn it is sooooo dark. And well written. Thought you might want to take a peek… The prologues are pretty intense so I think if it’s gonna hook you, it will do so in the sample :)

Pam: Just finished Push….wow… Just wow… So good and I didn’t even mind the cliffhanger. Gah!!!! So good.

Yep… I’ve started it, and I’m IN!!! I’m ain’t ascared of no cliffhanger! I am a bit ascared of him, though. :P

P.S. Also still at the top of my TBR list: Monster in His Eyes and Beautiful Ink.

P.P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

BARGAINS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

  • Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry <— Okay WOW! Here’s another SUPER-bargain priced book. It’s 0.31 cents right now! Thirty. One. Cents!!!!! What what whaaaaaaaat? And this one’s usually over $7!! “…when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his surprising understanding, Echo’s world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common.” Mertxe says: “I loved Pushing the Limits, It’s a must-read” and Jody suggested it as a “What to Read After Beautiful Disaster” option: “I would like to Suggest Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry.  It has the same feel of Beautiful Disaster…  Granted no one is quite like Travis.”
  • Tempt My Heart: A Brittan McKenna Story by Danielle Jamie <— Saw this one floating around on my Facebook feed and it looks good! Maybe too much detail in the blurb (unless it’s not… I dunno yet), but it sounds heart wrenching. Plus… ROCK STARS! Mourning the loss of her fiancee for years… “Eight years marks the anniversary of Cane’s death when Brittan sets eyes upon Jordon; a guitarist whose shrouded in mystery and a world class bad boy for her bands opening act, Tempting Tomorrow.”
  • Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan <— OMG one of my FAVORITES and it is a MUST READ!!!!! (check out my review)

Mary Ann: Maryse I just started reading ARCHER and I am hook!!! I don’t want to put it down. It captured my attention and it’s calling me to continue reading…can’t wait to get home after work.

Maryse’s Book Blog: One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!!!  GAH!! Best one-click ever!!

Kirsten: Totally agree with Maryse. It’s one of my favorites!

  • Cutting Deep (The Cut Series) by T.A. Anderson <— The “Book Trollop” recommended these to us and “A lot of that humor is in her books with a ton of debauchery that reminds me of Bridesmaids, plus a sexy chef… Who doesnt love men who can cook??!!” Yep… it sounds good! The problem is Matt—in all his nerdy-hot glory—turns out to be not such a scumbag after all.

Laura Kelly May 6, 2014 at 1:42 PM

My husband is trying to ban me from your website because of all the money I have been spending on books!! LOL!!!

Sarah Griffin May 6, 2014 at 1:46 PM

So many good releases this week! I got to read a few early, and by far my favorite is one you missed, Lynetta Halat’s Freed. It just came out yesterday and, in my opinion, is her best work to date! I remember you liked Used, but this one blows it out of the water! I just finished Rush Too Far last night and have decided that alternate Male POV books are my new favorites! To that end, I am reading Breakable today :-) I read Rush this weekend and it was phenomenal! At the heart, just a love story, but that was what made it so special. Definitely check out Freed though! I know you’ll love it :-)

Amy May 6, 2014 at 1:51 PM

Rush!! *squealing* I did my reports for work, yoga and housecleaning this morning all so that I could spend the rest of the day at Rosemary Beach!! So many from above have been on my radar and TBR list that I don’t know what to start after RTF. But Radar has a cliffhanger?? Ugh, and I wanted to read that one soon. *pouting*

You know what we need here, Maryse? A database of sorts that lists books by the series with info like if it is complete, if there are cliffhangers, if each book continues with the same character/couple or is a different character/couple, what the genre is, etc. I know you list series in posts regularly on here, but I loooove databases so, ya know. ;)

Uh, I’ve also had too much caffeine in the last hour so you could always take my suggestion and chalk it up to another of my random ramblings. :P

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 1:52 PM

Ohhh thank you Jaime!! Yep… on my TBR list, especially considering how much I swooned over her other one.

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 1:53 PM

LOL Laura!!!!! Tell him… I’m sorry. *giggle* But we’re having so much fun!

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 1:53 PM

Oh thank you for those updates, Sarah!! I just added Freed, and I did enjoy that triangle. Awesome feedback!

Amy May 6, 2014 at 1:57 PM

I meant Rush Too Far – probably obvious but whatever! If you’ve got a Rush Crush then you understand!! Going to read off my caffeine rush…*giggle* I said “rush” again. Sorry, sorry! I’m going…

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 1:58 PM

Haha Amy! Actually I love lists and that would definitely be something to work into a database type search thingie. I’ll have to discuss with my techie husband. ;)

Coffee got you finished on time for reading, so I’m all for coffee!

Amy May 6, 2014 at 2:04 PM

*happy dance* :D

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 2:05 PM

hahahahahaha!!! Yah coffee dance, more like it. :P

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 3:01 PM

Loving so far. He’s got me feeling warm and fuzzies and grinning like a fool, and then… then I think “psycho!!”

Hanneliane May 6, 2014 at 3:10 PM

Daylight Again (Hell or Highwater #3) by SE Jakes is out for those who loved Catch A Ghost and Long Time Gone (#1 & 2) (M/M)! Recommended series if you suffer from Cut & Run-cravings.

Lauren May 6, 2014 at 3:43 PM

Oooooo, so many good ones this week! I’m covered in poison ivy from head to toe (and my eyelids and ears…) and can’t leave the house so all I’ve done is read, read, read. Lots of anticipated sequels coming out on May 12th so I’ve gotta pace myself.

Danielle May 6, 2014 at 3:52 PM

Im going to have to take out a small loan if you keep recommending all these good books! The e-reader has to be the best and worst invention.
That Nowhere but Here cover is gorgeous.Im trying that out next!

Jody K May 6, 2014 at 3:56 PM

Maryse, I just finished The Year We Fell Down (the Ivy Years) I liked it. It was a nice college romance read to break up all the angst and alphas I have reading about lately. :)

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 4:51 PM

Still reading Push… And I’m back at the OMG psycho!!! stage… *whooo*

Danielle May 6, 2014 at 5:06 PM

I just stumbled across this book..

That Which Destroys Me by Kimber S. Dawn. Looks promising from the reviews!

Maryse May 6, 2014 at 5:12 PM

Thanks Jody & Danielle! I’ll be adding these in shortly. :)

Pam May 6, 2014 at 5:36 PM

Can’t wait for your review of push… I need therapy after that book

bev May 6, 2014 at 6:03 PM

Hmm i already had PUSH on my kindle from a couple days ago. I had my reading list all set up for the week but maybe based on your early PUSH reactions shuffle some around. Then again some of what you and Pam are saying has me going uh-oh.

Melissa May 6, 2014 at 6:23 PM

There are so many emotions when reading PUSH! You love him, then I’m like no!! Then I love him again!

Rebecka May 6, 2014 at 8:17 PM

Finished Push this AM! Love em hate em. It’s just shy of a 4 for me. Just a few parts that had me saying C’mon Really?? Then I remember they are a bit warped to begin with and cut em some slack and just go with their madness.

A cliff (er um bridge) hanger) Definitley! So looking forward to the next book.. I just hafta know– ya know?

Shirley May 6, 2014 at 10:12 PM

Rachel Aukes second book in the Deadland series is out now. Deadland Harvest and it is just .99. I finished it a couple of days ago and LOVED it. Her first one 100 Days in Deadland was so, so good! I am totally hooked on her series.

Jacee May 6, 2014 at 10:16 PM

I got Pushing the Limits for free back when you used to include free books on your bargain lists on Fridays. I still haven’t been able to finish it. I don’t know what it is, but it just hasn’t grabbed me.

cheryl May 6, 2014 at 10:42 PM

Too many good releases- one-clicking like crazy. Curious about the Cut Series by T.A. Anderson- is book 2 the conclusion or is there a book 3? Can’t really tell by the one review I read. I agree with Amy I would find it very helpful to have it listed if there is a cliffhanger, if it is part of a series, or standalone and if it is a series, is it complete.

Jennifer May 6, 2014 at 11:43 PM

The Other Sister by Leanne Davis recommended on your blog fairly recently is free right now…looking forward to getting into the new SE Jakes book m/m romance and hot!!

Stella May 7, 2014 at 3:56 AM

I just finished PUSH!!!
I couldn’t put it down.
So Intense!
A Roller coaster of emotions. Definitely not what I was expecting but I Loved it!!

Vanessa May 7, 2014 at 7:27 AM

Oh my goodness, this post is hotness galore indeed. I want to read A Beautiful Distraction and Temp My Heart, will add these on my to read list. Thanks! Btw, I am currently having a giveaway on my blog. If anybody’s interested, feel free to join:

Ah-MAZING right!!!!!???? :D

Tricia May 7, 2014 at 9:21 PM

Can someone tell me if Archers Voice is a stand alone or should I read the others first?

Linda May 8, 2014 at 8:47 AM

Archer’s Voice is a standalone and sooo brilliant Tricia. Enjoy!! Xoxo

cheryl May 8, 2014 at 12:51 PM

Just finished Love, In English. Don’t know why I kept putting it off. I LOVED it…Mateo…sigh ** Now trying to decide between Rush Too Far, Nowhere But Here or Used/Freed. So many good choices this week!!! What are you reading Maryse?

Maryse May 8, 2014 at 1:03 PM

I think I’m going “Nowhere But Here” next. :D I’m in the mood for sweet and funny and romantic!

cheryl May 8, 2014 at 3:55 PM

I have to agree; I need a break mentally and physically from all the angst I’ve been reading! ;)

cheryl May 8, 2014 at 6:22 PM

Was also leaning towards reading In Love With Lucy ( on a previous new release post). The blurb reminds me of Beautiful Bastard and The Plan. It’s also a quick read, only 119 pages.

Maryse May 8, 2014 at 7:13 PM

Yes!!! I remember that one… nice quick funny office romance read. That might totally work, Cheryl! Lemme go get it.

Amy May 8, 2014 at 10:21 PM

Did you read the blurb for Colleen Hoover’s book November Nine? Oh, that woman just loves to twist us up! And it comes out on November 9th – why couldn’t it be called something like, I don’t know, May Nine?!? Well, 11/9 is now blocked out on my calendar. ;)
