WEDNESDAY BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! LOOKIT WHAT JUST WENT LIVE!!! Kimberly Lauren’s Ever Lonely (Ever James Band Book 1) She’s a famous (wild child) rock star, and he plays guitar in the subways ➔➔➔
“She sings their songs. She poses for their pictures. She wears their clothes.
Until Rhett…
Rhett Grayson has one of the most sought-after spots in the New York subway system to play his music. Travelers fill his guitar case with enough money to pay his bills and buy a round of drinks for his friends every week. He has his own apartment in Manhattan. Who cares if he can touch the walls with his arms stretched out wide? It’s his.
When Rhett is unexpectedly asked to join Ever’s band as lead guitarist, will Ever be able to cope with a new bandmate who’s as infuriating as he is tempting?”
AND!!! THIS ONE WENT LIVE TOO!!! What Lies Between (Where One Goes Book 2) by B.N. Toler (sequel!!) & OMG THIS STORY SOUNDS AMAZING!!! I know book #1 made many in our crew crazy (in a good way).

Good morning!
*confetti cannon* because it’s a short week
Good morning all!!
There are some goodies up there. Unrequited love goodness: All my Life and forbiddeny goodness: The Right Kind of Wrong.
I am really trying (and not succeeding) to keep my TBR under control.
Good Morning-
I woke up to my new shiny book Love Sincerely Yours in my kindle and I have decided to pause Bluebird for now and jump right in.
Leslie-I gave a long time ago on my TBR list, I’ve come to terms that is a battle I will never win. 🙂
Good morning!
Tasha–responding to your post from yesterday, with all 3 of my boys, my hair fell out between 4 and 5 months after I had delivered (the exact amount that you mentioned, and like you, it did NOT affect my nails), so I’m wondering if biotin (vitamin b7) would even help even IF you *could* take it? If you have bad side effects from vitamins, then you may be one of the people who gets acne from biotin. I’ve never gotten even a touch of it (or any other side effect), and I’ve been on 10,000 mcg of it a day for 2 years, but I have a cast iron stomach by now too.
I’m glad the chiro seems to be helping. My hubs had the electrode thing done at the doc’s office, and we also bought a TENS unit for him to use for home electrode therapy. I have A LOT of nerve damage in my left arm/hand from where I’ve had so many IV’s/surgeries and my upper left leg from the femoral cannula they put in when I was on life support, and one of my doctors (an anesthesiologist) prescribed me a compounded nerve gel that has lidocaine for numbing and gabapentin and some other stuff for nerve pain in it. It helps some… Not as well as I’d hoped, but I have extensive damage. They said that a lot of their patients who use it (or something similar) get a great deal of relief.
All My Life sounds so much like my favorite book Unbreak My Heart!! She’s known him and loved him since childhood, marriage, a child and divorce and he doesn’t know or realize this. This sounds like some angsty unrequited love to moi. This just moved up to next in my que!
Right Robyn??? I LOVED Unbreak My Heart so All My Life sounds like exactly my thing!!!
Just added a new release to the top of this post (Kimberly Lauren’s latest just went live). 😀
I’ve had Surviving the Storm by Shay Savage in my Kindle for ages and just read the two books in a marathon reading session over the weekend. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! No wonder Sebastian Stark always tops those lists of anti-heroes in romance novels. Easily my best read of 2018.
Maryse–I’m worried for you. Are you safe from this hurricane? Is anyone else in the path?
Jesus on Rollerblades….today’s list has so many that are speaking to me. I didn’t even make it through the opening paragraph without adding 3 to my list. Do I dare read on?
Lisa!!!!
Jesus on Rollerblades…bwahahaha! Is that like Christ on a cracker?
*waves* Back home as of yesterday, and to wnswer your question, 13 nieces and 5 great nieces. 10 nephews and 3 great nephews. I may be off on the greats. Oh and two more greats on the way.
Love Sincerely Yours and Fight or Flight sound awesome. Something to make me grin.
Hi all!! A few up there caught my interest. Have to say the never will be on KU comment about Love Sincerely Yours rubs me the wrong way for some reason. It’s ok if an author chooses not to put a book on KU, just why make a big statement out of it. Just my humble, crazy opinion.
Has anyone read Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage? It is a thriller and not my normal read. Picked it up from the library but wanted feedback before I started it:)
Kathy I’m DYING to read that one!! I love stories about creepy or dangerous children.
Cheryl, I think that’s because all of Sarah Nay’s books have been in KU. So it might be to stop anyone from asking and thinking something is wrong.
Laura
Sebastion is one of my all time favorites. If I am ever wrecked on a desert island he would be the one I would pick. I’ve read both books twice!
I thought someone had kidnapped Manny when I saw the Toni Aleo book. But it’s Misadventures with ‘A’ Manny, not with ‘our’ Manny. Phew.
Stupid hurricanes!! Maryse, I hope you are ok. It looks really bad in Northern FL. Not sure how much your area is being impacted.
I devoured “Love Sincerely Yours” and now I want to drown in it’s awesomeness. This was such a FUN, SEXY, SWEET read!
Leslie M-I think you would love this! 🙂
Kathy, I read Baby Teeth some time ago. It was creepy, but not enough to give me nightmares. The little girl is just awful, and the father is a bit clueless to it all. If I had a kid like this, I’d consider accidentally drowning her! The most horrifying part is how does a parent deal with a child that they are afraid of. That is just chilling!!
Thanks Jenn! I will add to the TBR mountain.
Just the name Baby Teeth sounds creepy. *shudders*
Stay safe Maryse.
Wednesday! The Smile Has Left Your Eyes Day! Lol.
Alright, determined to read this commute.
I was really enjoying that UF I started on Sunday.
I think we’re going to be fine in my area (except for some flooding in my county on the coast). I should be fine though, and thank you everyone for your concern!! Hurricanes have been know to turn in sooner than expected at times (I’m in the center), and that’s what we were bracing for.
Thanks Lisa. So many good books to read and so little time. I will take a chance on it! Thinking good thoughts of you caught in this hurricane.
Hi Maryse! “What Lies Between” by B.N. Toler released today. It is a follow up book to “Where One Goes” with Ike, Charlotte and George.
Thank you AnneC!!!!!! I’m adding it now. 😀
Gah, Maryse, I’m so relieved! I’ve been watching the weather constantly and then I got on FB to make sure you’d posted recently. This is BAD stuff! I hope no on else here is in the path.
16% subbed. Fingers crossed it is 100% by the time I get home.
Am also craving chocolate which I ate last week. Hope I didnt start a trend, lol.
I’d like to say maybe I’ll try the vitamins, but probably not. It’s like saying I’ll blow dry my hair, put on jeans, make up, exercise….LOL!
I’m sorry about your nerve damage Nay. That has to be hard, using hands for everything. I hate pain, I’m a big baby anymore. I’m not sure which part of the treatment worked, but something did. Thank goodness!
I finished both of my books today! I got nothing productive done, but I finished my books, darnit. Justin Halpern’s I Suck at Girls was lighthearted, funny, and quick for people with time. 😉 And his Dad was back in it and I LOVE his Dad. He’s hilarious. Though Justin definitely has his moments too. They have such a great relationship.
And Nancy Lee’s Dead Girls was fantastic! Totally not quite what I thought it would be, probably better. I feel like this one is way underrated or something just from the lack of reviews on Amazon or GR. It’s not on kindle either, but I got the paperback (used) within a week for $5. Each short story in it is 30 pages long and they are gripping! Real and raw. The 1st story actually didn’t do it for me, but I was curious enough to keep going and see what it was about. Sally’s Parts hooked me and each story from then on were great.
One clicked!!!!!! OMGEEEEE! So STINKIN excited to start What Lies Between!!!!
Thanks Maryse for posting that it went live!
My pleasure D.G.!!!!!!! :D!!!
57%
Hehehe.
What kind of chocolate do I want?
Chocolate chocolate
Ice cream chocolate
Cake chocolate
Decision.
CAKE CHOCOLATEEEEE!!!!!!!!
😛

At this rate it might be done .
Oh, a rec from Maryse.
One of the people who left me alone in Korea with a potential sociopath.
Glad you are ok Maryse.
Could use cake chocolate now. Crappy day. Took my daughter to an appointment this morning and while we were waiting to go in (for once we were early), a nice older woman (not) drove by and took my side mirror off!! Not how I expected to start my day!! Now dealing with insurance claim. 🙁
I had lots of chocolate today. It’s close to that time, ya know, where one can’t control oneself. Pain au chocolat. Latte made with chocolate milk, a couple fun size Oreo Halloween candy…I think that’s it, actually. Maybe not so bad. We won’t count yesterday.
92% .
Now if I can just stay awake.
Noodles, salt and vinegar wings, chocolate cake.
You know the healthy way.
bev your meal sounds like my ultimate HEAVEN!!!
Noodles, salt and vinegar wings, chocolate cake. <--- *thud* YUMMMMMMM Even the salt and vinegar wings which I've never had before, but salt and vinegar is my favorite flavor so... WOW!!!!
Indulged with cooked sugar free chocolate pudding over Enlighted vanilla ice cream this evening after a very long day. Couldn’t help myself. Warm and yummy.
Wait.
This needs further discussion.
You made pudding and while it was warm you poured it over ice cream?
I’ve never heard of this before.
That does need further discussion. I love warm things with ice cream.
Hot apple pie, warm brownies, etc.
Lol yes Bev it’s my go to indulgence. Pouring hot chocolate or butterscotch pudding over vanilla ice cream. It’s amazing.
#1 son came home from college for the day on Tuesday, so we took him to Chili’s and we got the molten chocolate cake. OMG! Chocolate cake with a gooey molten chocolate center, topped with vanilla ice cream in a thick chocolate shell (which my kids have always called ‘plastic chocolate’). Oh, and they also drizzle caramel on the plate under it, as if it wasn’t rich enough already. It will just about put you in a chocolate coma, but it’s wonderful!
Finished What Lies Between last night as Michael’s winds and rain was whipping through my area…and I must say it was AWESOME! I was so TORN! How the heck do you choose…love of your LIFE or SOULMATE?!?! When they are TWO different people BUT two halves of one whole?!?! I DEVOURED these two books! ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY loved, LOVED it! Make no mistake…there were tears shed! BN Toler, you have become one of my favs! And please, please make this a trilogy for the love of a soulmate!!!!
All this talk about warm things with ice cream is making me super hungry but I also thought I would share my favorite.
I take about a tbs oh hell who am I kidding-it’s more like 2 tbs and put in microwave for about 10-15 seconds and poor it over French Vanilla Ice Cream..DELICIOUS (peanut butter anything is my favorite)
DG; you have me wanting to drop everything and read those now. I was all ready to start this trilogy; (Monster in his eyes by J.M. Darhower) 1 clicked all three books yesterday as they were all on KU and now you have totally gone and derailed that plan with the words..love of your LIFE and SOULMATE, torn…tears….:)
Read them Jenn! BN Toler is awesome! No pressure…but just go ahead and read them!
I do that with Nutella, Jenn!
But lately, I’ve been putting about 2 Tbsp of dark chocolate chips in a little bowl (dark chocolate’s good for us, right?), and I pour in enough skim milk to almost cover the chips. Put it in the microwave on high for about 15 seconds (right before the milk boils over the top of the bowl). Take is out and stir it (you have a lower fat ganache of sorts) and pour it over ice cream. YUM!
You can increase or decrease the skim milk to adjust how thick/thin it is. If you make it more on the thick side and have some left over, you can let it cool to room temp so that it’ll thicken even more, and it’s just like eating the inside of a dark chocolate truffle. You can do this with any kind of chips, of course.
I buy a bag of chips every week and my son and I both do it. We also mix the melted chips with cool whip, and if you stick the mixture in the freezer for a bit (just enough to firm it up but not freeze it), you have a poor man’s chocolate mousse!
D.G.–you have me wanting to read them too!
That’s it. I’m going to the chocolate shop today. Thank you all. 😛
Maryse…I need to point something extremely important out! THERE ARE READERS AMONGST US WHO HAVE NOT READ BEAUTIFUL DISASTER AND OTHERS CLAIM ACOTAR AS A FAVE BUT CLAIM NOT TO LIKE PNR………..WHAT IS THIS???????? TREACHERY
ELA!!!!!!! What what whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?
GASP!!!!!!!!!!
*thud*
Nay – read them…and grab a box of tissues!
Yup! *nodding* Ela’s got it right. How??? can you love ACOTAR and, AND also TBATS but not like PnR?? Lisa???????
DG–I’ll move them up the list!
I need help deciding on a T-shirt for Halloween and also just because. https://pin.it/7hvxdqrffdw4rv. I like this one. And there’s one with a cauldron saying “Amuck Amuck Amuck” or an I Smell Children one. I have a witches hat to wear with it.
These are super cute too, cuz we love books and all. https://pin.it/sd7urwnz4itkov
https://pin.it/5si4sq2z64ge6u
Hey ladies! Another crazy week (probably another 50-hour-plus week ) and I am missing chattin’ with all of you!
Skimming the comments, I’m seeing all kinds of talk about food and warm, gooey goodness…and Nutella!!! I have to catch up this evening. HAVE to.
DG…I just looked, and I bought Where One Goes back in 2015. I don’t have the new pretty cover (turned off automatic cover updates through Amazon) but I have the book, and it’s now moved up on my TBR! 😀
Ela, how? ACOTAR is a PNR. It’s a paranormal. It’s a romance. *thinks* Maybe the person likes less urban in her paranormal? There are more that runs along the non-urban genre. That does make a difference in the world building. So, maybe the person would prefer the Tairen Soul series. The two are similar worlds, and both are smexy romances. *nods* It’s official.
ACOTAR lovers…. read the Tairen Soul series.
I’M STICKING TO MY SIDE………ACOTAR IS PNR, THEREFORE YOU LIKE PNR.
*PUTS SMELLING SALTS UNDER MARYSE’S NOSE AND HANDS HER A BOTTLE OF VODKA*
You do, but maybe they think PNR is only the urban stuff. I mean, maybe you aren’t into vampires who stand and stare creepily at the sleeping human mate in Seattle. 😛 Or the werewolf who lives in the forest outside of Wyoming who has found his soulmate. Or the fallen angel who finds a love in the streets of LA that leads to redemption. Perhaps you like the world unknown, more medieval. The slip of a human fighting goblins. The fae fighting a dragon to save his love. The princess in the castle who falls for an ogre.
Still paranormal. 🙂 Just… not in a modern setting.
I need to catch up on comments too. Taking a quick break to make a fauxtini then back to work. And my FLT is the book I started the other day which is amazing so far but had to put aside for another project. Diving back in this weekend!
FLT: “Childhood is simple.” Chasing the Sunrise by H.A. Robinson
FLT:
I am reading – Neighbors by Stylo Fantome
Describe Your Perfect Date. “I mean, c’mon,” Katya grumbled, blowing a hank of hair out of her face.
I am listening to – Love My Way by Kate Sterritt
Even without seeing her face, I know that the woman standing at the water’s edge is desperately sad.
I am not sure yet how I feel about either of them.
Gah, now I am craving some warm gooey goodness over ice cream. Must go see what I have in my pantry.
FLT:
(reading) “The night my best friend died, I’d been thinking about Skittles.”
Trusting You by Allison Ketley. Dual POV. So far pretty good.
(Listening to): “I’m sorry Nick.” Dr. Neuro by Max Monroe. So far not as funny, LOL as previous books.
My FLT is the same as last weeks I think.
It’s ok. You can judge me.
Ep 4 of my show tonight. I can’t believe how much anticipation I have for this show that can also creep me out a bit. Lol.
FLT
“Wow. I’m not in California anymore.” ~ I Like You, I Love Her by JR Rogue.
Yep, same as last week but at least I’ve made progress. The drama has amped up, and I’m pretty surprised over how I’m feeling about the situation. I like it when a book surprises me like this!
No judgment from me, bev. I’m in the same boat. But please don’t kick me overboard because I haven’t started the show yet…I’m actually REALLY looking forward to sitting and binging on it.
Ok so I’m a little late…..
FLT:
My grandmother had this saying she’d always tell me when I was down about life.
Where One Goes-B.N. Toler
FLF (because I missed FLT!)… ‘Sleeping was always my escape.’
What Lies Between – BN Toler
Never read Acotar but think WOG and WLT is somewhat PNR….
Tasha–I saw a lot of cute tshirts on that page! I like the one you gave the link of though. It’s been a long time since I saw Hocus Pocus, so I had to refresh my memory and when I did a search, I saw this super cute ‘Amuck’ shirt with a purple witch hat on it at Spencers:
