in Latest Book Releases

Looks like a tiny windfall of book releases just went live today on Amazon, and these books look GOOD! Toooooo good to wait until Tuesday’s list, so let’s see what’s teasing my TBR list today, shall we?

  • Wife Number Seven by Melissa Brown <— I’m LOVING the sound of this one!!!! How unique and I’m thinking potentially tumultuous. “You see, there’s more to me than the braid that spills down my back. More to me than the layers of heavy fabric that maintain my modesty.  And so much more than the oppressive wedding band that adorns my finger–the same band that each of my sister wives wear.  So much more.  To protest would be sinful. I must keep sweet, that is my duty.” and then!!! “I’ll do my best to silence the resistance within me, to push him from my mind. If only my heart would do the same.” <—- eek Ooooooooh!!!!! Kirsten says: “I’m 25% into Wife Number Seven and loving it Maryse.” and Beth agrees: “Wife Number Seven was UH-MAZING!!!!!!”
  • Hard Roads by Lily White <— DARK READ/BIKER READ ALERT!!! Our fellow reading buddy Sally went NUTS for this one, and it just went live!! She said: “Ladies and Maryse of course  yesterday I finished Lily White’s new MC book HARD ROADS and I loved it! It was more than just another MC book because it had the infamous Lily White spin. That dark kind of f****d up that draws you in and spits you right back out. This book was a gripping ride of highs and lows that had me all kinds of crazy and I ate it up completely. YES I HIGHLY recommend this one ladies!” and Stephanie agrees: “Hard Roads by Lily White is awesome!!!”
  • Craving Absolution (The Aces Book 3) by Nicole Jacquelyn <— BIKER BOOK ALERT!!! Thanks to Beverly for this heads up!!! I read book #1 and really enjoyed it (here’s my review of Craving Constellations), and now there are TWO more books!!
  • Revive (Storm MC #3) by Nina Levine <—- BIKER BOOK ALERT!!!! (thanks to Lauren for this heads up!!)
  • Three Years (Gypsy Brothers Book 5) by Lili St Germain <— BIKER SERIES ALERT!!! I know sooooo many are loving this serial series, and installment #5 is live!
  • Reject Me: Kin Series Book 5 by Jennifer Foor <— Must be read in order, so I won’t read the blurb… but in case some of you were waiting for it, here it is!
  • Kiss a Stranger by R.J. Lewis <— This one was just released yesterday, but I’m bringing it to today’s list ’cause soooooo many in our crew loved this author’s other books (Ignite and BURN (Ignite Book 2). Like Kandace. ;) “OMG. I loved Ignite….like super duper loved ignite. I can’t wait to read this one, Squeeeeeeeeeeeee so excited.” <— LOL!!! A bit from the blurb?  ”I loved him. I loathed him. I knew he had secrets. I knew he had darkness in him. And yet I took all of him.” And!
  • Never Me by Kate Stewart <— Ooooh she sounds bad!!! And yet, I’m intrigued by how this one’s gonna play out: “I was a thief of men…a whore. Not the conventional type that got paid for sex. I was the girl you talked about in your sad inner circle. The girl you shielded your boyfriend from as you cleverly covered him with your body when I came near… I was NEVER going to be you … until I met HIM.
  • Fearless Love by Kennedy Kelly <— another recent/new release! She lost her husband in an accident, now raising her young son alone with fear love and losing. She hires a contractor and well… “his swagger, single dimple and caring ways, shows Audra that her heart needs a little work too.” YAY!!! Except!!! “Just as Audra and Brecken discover friendship and trust, a life-altering tragedy threatens the new foundation they are building.” I’m curious about this one!!
  • The Other Side of Someday (Carolina Days Book 1) by Carey Heywood <— JUST RELEASED. She doesn’t trust after past heartbreak, and he’s not interested in anything “serious”…
  • COME BACK: Dirty, Dark, and Deadly Book Two by J.A. Huss <— JUST WENT LIVE!!! (thank you Ashley!!)
  • Tug by KJ Bell <— a recent release (end of June) but I totally missed this one, and it seems to have that forbidden quality to it. He loses the love of his life to his brother (GAH!!!) and she is a single mother/prostitute running from a dangerous past… “After Aidan pays to spend one wild night with Maria, pretending to be unaffected by her is impossible. Their night comes to an explosive end and Maria hopes she never sees him again, but Aidan refuses to give up.

Ooooooh, I’ve been waiting for Wife Number Seven for a little while! Heads up – I one-clicked Tug a couple of days ago (doesn’t it look good??) and then found out it is a spinoff/companion novel to the Irreparable series. AND it has a freaking cliffhanger. Of course it does. :P

Since I loved Ignite and Burn I one-clicked Kiss a Stranger. Good to know about cliffhanger…since starting Fighting Destiny, I DO NOT want to start another unfinished series…probably already going to l lose my mind when I’m finished and have to wait for next books…why was this a good idea again…ugh

hi Maryse,
wanted to let you kow that CP.Smith has her second book Restoring Hope released today. It’s a beautiful book about 2 people who have learned hard lessons in their lives.A heroin on the run, a protective alpha man, hot sex and intrique and all that takes place in the beautiful New Orleans.
I loved CP.Smiths first book and with her second book she outdid herself.Love that the main characters are a bit older (over 40) than all the books with characters in their 20-30…..for me easier to relate too.
go check Restoring Hope out…you will love it!

Who has read any of the biker book son this list? I am in need of something along those lines STAT. Decided to go to the 5-star list, since “After I Do” was such a good recommendation. I chose “Mud Vein”. OMG. What a mind game. Couldn’t put it down because I just had to know how the whole twisted mess turns out. It will definitely stay with me. I’ll never forget it. But I need a HEA. Not always, but, at this moment, I do. I tried to finish “The Bastard” since I saw that in someone’s thread… but it didn’t keep my interest. HELP.

Cheryl July 21, 2014 at 7:18 PM

Finished Fighting Destiny. Certainly different from any other book I’ve read lately. Moving on to Taunting Destiny. Would be really nice if the 4th book was released when I finish book 3 … heard late summer…it’s late summer isn’t it?! Just saying… :)
