I have a signed copy of this crazy darkish, highly emotional (all SORTS of emotions!) “biker bad-ass meets homeless girl” read. The Dark Light of DayΒ was soooo good!! (See my review). And… I’m not ashamed to say, I totally *squeeeeed* when I received it.
AND!!! The author also sent me one for a lucky winner here!!!
She also told me that she’s got another book coming out early 2014, and it sounds just as freakin’ angsty-traumatic-scary-exciting as The Dark Light of Day! I am SO in!! I wanna read it right now! Okay so here’s a special note from the author describing it for us:
“King will be a standalone. Β Here is a little blurb… I have attached a promo pic as well. Β This will not be the cover but I sure do enjoy looking at it!”Β
Homeless, hungry and desperate enough to steal, Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.
A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you donβt want to cross unless youβre prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, pu$$y or a combination of all three.
Kingβs future hangs in the balance. Doeβs is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to lean that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.
WARNING: This book contains graphic violence, sexual situations, rape, drug use, abuse, and other taboo subjects and adult subject matter.
Is it bad that I get antsy to read it, when there are “warnings” on a book’s synopsis? π Mind you, some of the past books I’ve read, I’ve wished I took heed to the warning. Β It appears, even I have limits. But so far, this one sounds right up my alley! Not in real life, mind you. But in book life… I love reading exciting, scary, emotional romances.
How to enter for a chance to win a signed copy of βThe Dark Light of Dayβ?

Ohhh this looks soooo good!!! And I’m the same way with warnings, makes me want to read right then and there to see what emotion it will stir up. But I loveee the Captive in the Dark series. I had to read them all twice to really get it out of my system because I was just so enthralled.
OMG Yesss I want this ! Actually this book is one of my favorite dark read of 2013..Loved it!
Captive in the Dark Series.
I would have to say that captive in the dark was my first dark read and I loved it first because I staring reading it before I even read any review or synopsis of the book I just so your post about and decided to get it and second love the story!!!!
Just finished Insanity and White Walls, and I would have to say that was quite the shock value. This one was my dark read on my TBR list.
Captive in the Dark made me say OMG quite a few times. Loved it and the whole series.
Dark Duet Series. Was so happy to read book three on that one.
It’s hard to beat Captive in the Dark. I also enjoyed The Tied Man and Escape from Paradise! My TBR list is super long, but I’m going to add both of TM Frazier’s books on as they look very good.
I’ve been wanting to read this! My favorite dark book is Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. It’s…amazing.
Captive in the Dark was my first…. but the one that really stuck with me and to this day makes me think wtf!! is Consequences. In fact I have had Truth on my kindle for almost 6 months and cannot bring myself to read it because it really f’s with my head….
The Dark Duet by Cj Roberts was my 1st and nothing will ever beat it in dark reads for me.
I’m gonna be un-original and have to go with Captive in the Dark…..Caleb, grr….
I also liked Escape from Paradise!
Thanks again!!
My very first “Dark” read was CITD which I absolutely LOVE (really the entire series) Caleb <3. But Underestimated by Jettie Woodruff was another one I really loved.
Captive in the Dark duet by C.J. Roberts! π I also liked The Tied Man by Tabitha McGowan!
Tears of Tesss my favorite dark read.
I love all the dark reads, but The Tied Man was probably my favorite. The Dark Light Of Day has been on my wish list for a while now!
CITD is my favorite dark read.
Mia Asher – Arsen, you knew what would happen, but who knew you’d FEEL it so much? And not everyone gets the happy ending.
Consequences by Aleatha Romig
Consequences by Aleatha Romig was a dark read for me but couldn’t stop reading the series.
I totally had to go back & look through my Kindle to scout out my favorite dark read; there’s been SO many in the last year! I kinda loved Tears of Tess, so that’s my choice for this one!
I have to say the Consequences series is my favorite “dark” read. Thanks for the giveaway.
Oh this book has been on my dying to read shelf for a while now!! That question is a no brainer for me!
The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz is my ultimate, fabulous, revolutionizing, 10 star dark/taboo read!!! Absolutely love her work <3
Thank you for the giveaway!! π
Aleatha Romig’s “Consequences” trilogy has to be my favorite. Not only is she dark in her writing but amazingly creative & original.
My favorite is Consequences by Aleatha Romig!
I’m new to this genre and found your blog while looking for series recommendations. Thank you & keep up your awesome work! You write excellent reviews on books we both obviously have a passion for! π I loved Kiss Of Fire by Deborah Cooke – the first in her Dragonfire series.
Consequences
I have to say Captive in the dark too but a close second was consequences. A recent dark read I liked was Madeline abducted though…I’m looking forward to that sequel!
I’m still new to the dark reads. I’ve only read one, but I liked it. So I’ll have to cast my vote for Madeleine Abducted by MS Willis
I haven’t had the chance to read The Dark Light of Day yet. I need to read it and her upcoming book, King! I’ll add them to my wish list!
As for my favorite dark reads, I loved Captive In the Dark Duet, The Consequences Series, Escape From Paradise, and Insanity/White Walls/part 3 coming soon.
I loved the Dark Duet series and recommend it to everyone with the warning that you just have to keep reading because it’s a hard read. Falling in love with Caleb, wrong but I did!
Just started reading The Dark Light of Day, and I’m in! As always, thanks for all the great recommends! Hard to pick just one, LOVE em all!!
Definitely Escape from paradise. Some of those scenes were cringe worthy.
Consequences was my dark read this year. It was so good. π
Consequences
Captive in the dark is my favorite dark read!
The Dark Duet series was my first and I was amazed (and a little disturbed) by how much I love to read a dark book. Although I will have to read something lite after it. I would love to win this!
Thanks for the giveaway! Consequences by Aleatha Romig is the book that has shocked and/or ticked me off the most. My sister loaned it to me, and I was so mad at her that I sent her a not-so-nice little message IN ALL CAPS!! I mean here I send her all of these beautiful love stories, and she sends me this crazy make-your-heart-pound-out-of-your-chest book. I have forgiven her though since it ended up being a great series.
I say consequences too
Captive in the dark for sure!
Consequences by Aleatha Romig was truly a very dark read and I am trying to get my mojo up to read the 2nd installment. Shock factor book, all of the torture and hardship endured by Jaime Fraser in the Outlander series. That guy is one tough Scotsman.
Captive in the Dark and Tender Mercies are my top two. That had me at times uncomfortable but loving and wanting more.
Definitely the Dark Duet series!
Awesome! Thanks for the chance to win!!
Have not read any dark books persay but I might have to read this one! The most disturbing movie I have watched and wish I never do is Running Scared with Paul Walker truly disturbing
Tears of Tess.
Haven’t heard of this author before
Sorry, meant to add Gremlins movie
Consequences! When I finished it, I didn’t know what to think about it. Blew me away!
The Dark Duet series by CJ Roberts! π
Consequences is my fave! I also love Captive Series!
