YAY!! I’ve been tagged in the the “To Be Read Tag”, so here’s my very own list about my TBR list.

I have been tagged by Erin from Lit Slave blog to make another list!! Well, kind of to explain my current “TBR list” and you know I love making lists. This is a list about my main list. 😉 LOL!

Okay so:

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Ummm… I make lists? Lists upon lists. I have about 5 current TBR lists, 3 that I posted on my blog like MY “TO BE READ” LIST, 17 books from my TBR list and Next 10 books on my TBR list, and 2 that I created “collections” for on my Kindle App. And I’m successfully working my way through them. I just checked them all and WOW. I have read a bunch since I made them! But sticking to my TBR lists and ONLY my TBR lists? neutral Well. You know me. I *squirrel* easy with all of these new releases, so…  I think I need a “book-Dom” to keep me in book-line. 😉

Is your TBR mostly print or e-books?

Allllll ebooks. I’ve become spoiled with the ability to read with no hands, except to “flip” an ebook page. And I LOVE to be able to highlight my favorite parts, and make notes without ruining the actual book. But I do miss that decadent book smell.

A book that has been on your TBR list the longest.

Easy! The first one that comes to mind is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green *gasp!!!* I knowwww right?!!! I’m missing out on something AH-MAZING all because I’m ascared. Chickety chicken. *pok pok* Can’t do it. I’m dying to ’cause I hear it’s pure book magnificence, I’ve one-clicked it, I’ve stared at the cover longingly…. and I’m dying to watch the movie. But NOPE. Nope to it all… for now. 😉 I have a few more that I’m dying to read too, but again… I fear the tears (like God Shaped Hole: A Novel by Tiffany DeBartolo). Oh and Bullet to the Heart (No Mercy) by Lea Griffith. I’m so excited for this one. And scared of it’s darkness!!!

Lots! But if we’re talking about this week? Made: A Sempre Novel by J.M. Darhower (mafia romance!), Last Light (The Night Owl Trilogy) by M. Pierce (sequel to one of my favorite books!) and the “Uncaged Love” series (MMA fighters!!)

Ha!! Another easy answer because I saw this one yesterday and about fell over. Below the Belt: Worth the Fight Series. Just LOOOOOOOOOK at this cover. He. Is. GORGEOUS!!! All… ROAWR!!!! More MMA fighters to tickle my alpha protective bad-boy fancy, and I’ll just pretend they stay this pretty even with all of those punches to the face. 😉 *snort*

A book on your TBR that you never planned on reading.

Hrmm… I guess… well anything on my TBR list I intend to read… they made it there because I’m either totally enamored by the blurb, or the book has come HIGHLY recommended by my trusted fellow readers, but I’d have to say… Years by LaVyrle Spencer. MOODY HERO ALERT!!! HIGHLY recommended by many here, including my mom and my aunt that never steer me wrong, and it’s been on my TBR list for a couple of years now and yet… I haven’t even started it. Maybe it’s because it’s a historical. Supposedly it will make me cry and give me THE most amazing book-hangover, so… really. What am I waiting for?

 An unpublished book in your TBR that you’re excited about.

I’m always excited about ANYTHING Colleen Hoover releases. I absolutely have LOVED EVERYTHING I’ve read by her (see my Colleen Hoover reviews here), so I’m anxiously awaiting her next release Confess: A Novel which is expected to be released on March 10th 2015. Also the next Maddox brother book by Jamie McGuire (spinoff from her Beautiful Disaster Series). *squeeeeeee!!!!*

A book that everyone’s read but you.

*sigh* I’m so embarrassed to admit these but here goes. I haven’t read Gone Girl: A Novel by Gillian Flynn and, well, you already know this one, but yep…  The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, makes today’s list yet again. I swear for a book I’ve never read, it sure shows up over and over again on my blog. *snort*

 

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

Over the last year, I’d have to say the most often recommended books are Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower (’cause it’s supposedly nice and dark and many come out of it in a love fog) and Frenched by Melanie Harlow (I hear it’s just a plain ol’ GREAT contemporary romance novel that’s not too much of anything, but just enough of everything) and Driven (The Driven Trilogy Book 1) by K. Bromberg (this one seems to have put EVERYONE in a romance angst frenzy…)

  

A book on your TBR that you’re DYING to read.

I am DYING to read Unbeloved (Undeniable Book 4) by Madeline Sheehan. I have NO idea why I haven’t read it yet. I just know when it was released it was Book Bash week, and I was out of reading commission. And then I squirreled and squirreled and squirreled. But this is one of my FAVORITE authors, and the Undeniable Series is one of my favorite dark and gritty romance series, and THIS trio? They were the ones I was most interested in. Finally a book about them, and I get to read it!!!!

So that’s it my friends. That was the last question that I could answer…

Sidney Halston – Worth the Fight Series Reading Order

<—- I read this one!! Good, sweet contemporary romance story with some extra-funny scenes in the beginning that really had me giggling, and… OMG HE is a sexy cop!!! And her brother (also the cops best friend), an MMA fighter that’s extra protective. Fun times! I liked it! I didn’t necessarily go all-out crazy for it, but it was a good lazy afternoon read.

BUT!!!!!! I hear that book #2 (that was JUST released), is SOOOOO romantically angsty… at least at one point. Some of our fellow readers were sobbing, and say it was so much better than the first! YAY ME!!!! Just look at what our fellow readers are saying:

Brenda: Just finished Against the Cage by Sidney Halston. LOVED IT! I like when the characters are old enough to have crazy sex. LOL. Sometimes I feel weird about these 20 year olds doing freaky things. hahaha. Anyway…LOVED IT. Different kind of fighter book, but really loved it.

Patty: I also read Agains the Cage by Sidney Halston. It was so good. Maryse– you must read this one! A few people were talking about it here a couple of posts ago. I am not sure why they said it was a rom com. The 1st chapter was hilarious but the rest of the book was funny but not a rom com. I LOVED It.LOVE LOVE LOVE.  I think it’s my fave book of the year. I am not a big MMA fan because all MMA books have these douchy alpha males that are normally like 18 years old. Jack was totally alpha guy but so sweet! And it was way steamy! WOO HOO. Recommend it (but not as a Rom Com).

Kelly: Has anyone read a book called Against the Cage. It’s by an author I’d never heard ofSidney Halston. I got a copy from publisher and let me just say…WOW. I am in love with Jack. *Swoon*. The book was so funny (especially the beginning) but more than that had some nail biting moments and most of all…had some awesome smexy scenes. And, since I am totally into MMA right now, it was right up my ally. I love that it was adult and not YA/NA. God, I am having a boyfriend hangover right now. : ( No one I know has heard about it. How is this even possible???

Georgina: I got Against the Cage which was on sale. It was alright. Super funny, super cute, but not super angst. I recommend it for a fun light read. BUT then I picked up… The 2nd one, Full Contact that isn’t out yet. AND– HOLY CRAP. That chick (author) picked up a few pointers along the way. It was so good. Sidney has a new fan with me. It was awesome. The BEST break up scene I’ve ever read. Seriously– it paralleled Travis/Abby. I cried. Literally on the floor ugly cried. I don’t even know why I picked it up since I didn’t love the 1st one, but I’m so glad I did.

Anna: Just book binged on Full Contact. Loved it more than the 1st of series. There was a heart breaking moment among the LOL moments which killed me. Highly recommend it ladies! Now on to unbroken. More fighters for me please…

And might I say, each book cover gets better and better. The third book? *whoooooooo* *fans self*

About book #1:

Adrian: Against the Cage by Sydney Halston  just finished it and went mad for it. Can’t wait for the next one, Full Contact. This writer tells a steamy tale… I like her style, great writer. Funny too

Yessss I’m still in moving-mode. Unpacking, cleaning, and I have some furniture being delivered throughout the week (including a desk of my blogging room and another bookshelf!! But of course! Can’t have too many bookshelves). And I hear that the “negative reviews” regarding my desk set is the “building it” time… and difficulty. *snort* This is gonna be fun. Maybe I should video my attempt. eek

So I’m still reading-time deficient, but not so much so that I can’t play in our books and add to my TBR list. 😉 I’ll have lots of catching up to do.

And I definitely have time to include some obvious release highlights right now (those that are making it straight to my TBR list or being read ASAP). That one over there to the left (Dark Due bundle) makes me dark-squee. Or is that more like a growl-squee? LOL!! 😛 And Made: A Sempre Novel by J.M. Darhower (which can be read as a standalone, but it’s perfect for mafia romance lovers!!). Anguish (I MUST start this series, he’s a prisoner and an MC member and the prison guard (she!) gets kidnapped by them…), Prince Lestat (Anne Rice is back!!!), Smiley (for all of us New Species fans!), Cherish (’cause I loved book #1… all that romantic tension & personal angst) and Last Light (M. Pierce!!!! My biggest *release-squee* of the day!!)
