Monday Earlybird Book Releases + some that are going live at midnight! 08-27-18

<— Happy Monday everyone, and if you missed them  yesterday, two HUGE authors had two releases that just went live early!! That one to the left (TIJAN!!!) and Penelope Ward’s latest, too!!! And of course, a few more book-goodies to peruse.
Time for three things? I’ll start!
1.) I finished Emma Scott’s latest, Bring Down the Stars (Beautiful Hearts Duet Book 1) and it is a true, angsty love triangle and pretty clever how it comes to be. 😉 My review will be up shortly.
2.) I made “Chinese Spaghetti” this weekend (sautéed veggies, and chicken with ginger and soy sauce) but not actual spaghetti!! And not zoodles either. I used “Shirataki noodles” (supposedly some sort of Japanese yam) and they look like ramen noodles. Fried them in the oils and soy sauce and added them to the veggie/chicken mix and it was fantastic!! YAY FAKE NOODLES!!! P.S. For some, they are an acquired taste. 😛
3.) My dogs are battling me right now, bouncing on my arms to stop typing so I can get up and feed them. Good morning everyone!!! 😉 And…

After a blow out in high school, Makenna Halstead and I were happy to never have to cross paths again. Except life has a way of knocking you straight in the teeth with a puck when you least expect it. She hasn’t just returned to my life, she crashed into it like a wrecking ball…into my college kingdom, into my class, and smack dab into the seat next to mine. My new lab partner to be exact.

For years we hated each other… I may be King on the ice, but she is the Ice Queen. She has no problem calling me out, doesn’t back down, and her piercing blue eyes have me picturing more than than just my arms wrapped around her.

Now we’re stuck with each other and there’s no getting around that fact that we have to work together. My hockey career hangs in the balance. Problem? Oh, yeah.

I can’t deny it. I want her. More than I ever thought I could want a woman. I’ve got one semester–only four months–to convince her everything she thought about me was wrong.

Will my queen let me prove to her I’m the King she can’t live without?

Also another Melissa Marr update in regards to one of her series (Wicked Lovely) having been optioned, she says:

“As to the WL adaptation, I sold a new option on it in the spring. One of these times the right people will get it, & it’ll happen. Honestly, TEN YEARS now it’s been under option non-stop. Maybe this time is the right time. Finally.”

Tammara Webber just announced some pretty amazing news about a recent donation saying:

“With proceeds from Easy, I outfitted my alma mater’s self defense group (within the campus police) with new protective suits for trainers and attendees. My husband got the thank you letter from the university.”

I absolutely LOVED that book (<— my review). From my favorite old-school original indie loves, and it’s still huge in my heart.

Nalini Singh – Hard Play Series Reading Order

Nalini Singh has a new contemporary series, and the next book will be out in just a few weeks!

Jan: I quite like this series. Gabriel Bishop the New Zealand rugby player turned businessman is HOT! (He’s from Rock Hard). I’ll be buying the new one :D

Val: This was a really hard read for me. And I loved it. It’s tough. But I really think so important for people to read!!!
Angela: I agree, what an amazing lesson in a really great story. Socially relevant, although difficult to accept.

Alex: Definitely the most life-altering, all-consuming, books I’ve ever read! When friends ask me what to read, this is my go to. You can’t love reading, and not have read this series! It is amazing. Would love to find more like this if anyone has recommendations.
